Amazing This is my first time with the interactive gamebooks AMD.now I'm addicted. So much fun and a great story!
A lot of fun, better than I thought it would be. In a story with a Pan's labyrinth type of atmosphere, you go from an odd start to a surprisingly dangerous tale. This was my first digital gamebook and I really look forward to the next part.
Love the Story So far I'm liking gamebook adventures, you feel more involved in the story. I'm really enjoying the magical story. I have always enjoyed magic, whether reading about it or playing RPGs; the story was the first thing that caught my eye and so far I'm enjoying. Can't wait to see how it ends. Only complaint, text can be hard to read sometime.
Where are the sequels? This one is different than most FF/GA books. Theres no dice, you progress by solving HOG puzzles and adding numbers to cast spells. Personally i prefer the dice, this one has no real combat or random element. You either choose right and succeed or you dont. However the art & music is awesome. One complaint - its a trilogy and ends rather suddenly but i cant find the sequels. Any plans to release them? Awesome! Thanks for replying, will def pick it up!
Excellent as always Enjoyable world and premise but it was the pure logic puzzles that I fell in love with. Truly hope we'll get to see more of that kind in all future tinman books. The fey world and inhabitants all feel genuine as compared to the source mythology. A really solid entry and I beseech the developers to allow a follow-up in the same style.
Wonderful Interesting setting, well written, and lovely art. Enjoyed thisnfrom start to finish.
Blank pages Died and came back but now am stuck at a blank page. Tried a restart but did not work! Refund please!!
Great and worthy buy ! This Choose-Your-Own-Adventure book is well written and the world immerses you in magic and faeries - awesome! It has great logic puzzles and beautiful art, and is different from other Adventure Books as there is no dice - your choice will determine what happens to you. I am very much looking forward to Part II !
First time with a digital game book and all I can say is WOW. Thanks tin man and the author for publishing this. The music and the writing just draws you into the world and you get lost in it. Definitely be buying the sequels- Gary D
Ive always loved this theme! The thing thats so Great about Fantasy is that its different for each person. Using our own imaginations our interpretation will be unique. Support Tim Man and purchase his GA's. For its people like him that provide our escape into a Fantasy reality that demands us to ne a part of...
Would play again This game reminds me of the choose your own adventure books as a kid. They always seemed to end quickly and so did this game. But I enjoyed every page. Waiting for the next chapter to come to android
Awesome One of the best example of the new genre of mobile visual novels.
Truly beautiful A great start to the series
Great book I read it to my 7 year old son and he loved it. We can't wait for the next book to come out.
Screen orientation Haven't finished it yet but seems a great game so far. One request though - please add the option to lock the screen orientation to portrait as in your other games - when I play this the orientation is constantly flicking between portrait and landscape due to the angle I tend to whole my phone at, other than that good work
Unplayable bug Gane keeps crashing on startup the second the title screen comes up. Using nexus 5.
Awesome writing and illustrations! I like the puzzles, too. You might want to replace the iOS-specific language in the description, at least for the Google Play store.
Creative story and very entertaining The story kept me interested the entire way through and the puzzles were challenging but not too hard. I would recommend this to anyone interested in buying it!
Fun but stuck! I died and had to go back via portal. However, the pages after that are showing blanks. Am supposed to cast spell at pg 266 but the page is empty. Hope u can fix the pblm soon.
Pretty nice gamebook, but not very smartphone friendly at the moment. There are several puzzles that require you to look for details in a picture but as far as I can tell there is no way to zoom in on the picture. You can bring it full screen but even then I can't make out the details. I had to make a screenshot, leave the game, inspect the screenshot in another application and then start the game again to solve a puzzle. Fix that and it would be five stars.
Game works on first start.. on second start the game just crash on the startup menu screen. Too bad as it seems like a great game. Refunded...
Never got to play it -- UPDATE And support doesn't answer emails, so can't get help or a refund. -- UPDATE 10/7: they had an email down issue, which is why it took so long for support response. They couldn't get the game working on my device (Nexus 5, current version of Android), but they gave me a free copy of this game (plus a couple more games, as a courtesy) on PC. (Thank you!) Now that I can play it, good game!
Problems running For some reasons these gamebooks crash on android devices. Tried on Nexus 5 and Nvidia Shield. They run once and then refuse to run again unless reinstalled. Shame as the story seems interesting.
Never, ever works Mailed dev and it worked for about a day, but nothing since
Don't like puzzles Game is ok but hate puzzles.
I have always loved Tin Man's games but it doesnt work for my s5. It worked after installation and then it would keep crashing, i tried to re-installed it yet the problem stays :(
