Horrible upgrade!!! You basically lose your points. The new system sucks. You get a free drink every 50 points instead of 40. My points translated and instead of being 4 points from a reward I was 22. I've been loyal to coffee bean for years I come every morning and a few times during the week in the arternoon. Plus I can't use my number. Crappy Crappy crappy

Unsafe! Insecure! Danger! Uninstall! App is QR code based with fixed tokens and no PIN or fingerprint security. Gift card number is in plain text in payment code. Gift cards can't be removed. CBTL will not be reimburse for fraudulent charges or redemption. As of 9/28 CBTL removed the ability to use a phone number in store.

Much better design than old app but... ...just need to find one of your stores near me where it's actually supported. Need a lot of work to get this right or you will fall further and further behind your competitors Starbucks

My gift card balances disappeared once I updated to this new app. The old app which showed the balances no longer works. I don't have the gift cards to re-submit the information. I've emailed and called customer service, left messages, and no one has contacted me - it's been a week.

Not Really User Friendly You have to check-in before you can pay, instead of just going straight to the pay function. And I have yet to see an updated balance. I've made at least 3 purchases since I first used the new app on October 1st, yet that's the balance that's still showing. Defeats one of the main purposes of the app.

It would be a great feature if I could order from the app and link a payment credit card (not a gift card), so that a quick barcode scan in the store completed my order. As it stands, this app is basically just a replacement for a plastic rewards card on your keychain. I still love CBTL, though!

Sucks - won't send confirmation email I saw an ad on Twitter for their new cold brew coffee offering a coupon in the app. Thought I'd give it a try. I signed up, and it won't send the confirmation email, and won't let me into the app until I click the link I didn't get. Most other reviews mention this bug or others. Don't waste your time, just go to Starbucks.

It's a little confusing... I was really sad my gift card of $25 didn't transfer over and I threw away the physical card and couldn't log in to the old app. So there went that. Then when I used the app today the barista didn't know how to do it because the digital card I have is in plain text rather than something that can be scanned like the rewards. I don't know how that makes sense to you guys. Other than that, it's not a terrible app

Corrupt app Won't let me sign into my account from the old app and I have funds in it. Also, this app will hack your phone and post ads all day long on it, talking about pasta and brunch. Since when has coffee bean a restaurant. I used to be a huge coffee bean fan and this is just bad customer service, an email and a carry over of the old app system would be 1000% better than this app.

Not Ready for Use I wanted to pay for my order with the app, as I had uploaded my gift card to it, but kept receiving an error un able to long in message, despite entering the correct login info many times. This is extremely frustrating, especially when people are waiting to order behind you. Additionally, many locations are not ready to accept the app as a form of payment or rewards. Why is this app being rolled out before customers and stores can even use it? This will only create frustration for customers and employees.

All bad son. Lost all my points, getting less bang for the buck, you have to check in before use, can't use your number anymore. #weaksauce #REALbunk

More responsive, but.. Definitely an improvement, but there are things that need addressing with the app and Rewards Program in general. 1) Needs to be a way to add a tip from the app, 2) Your online store needs to give rewards points for purchases, and 3) WHEN IS IT ROLLING OUT TO ALL STORES?

Worthless Downloaded the app, loaded it with money and then I find there are no place in my city where the app is accepted in a city of over 1 million people with tons of stores here. Worse was the first app that was only accepted in California. The baristas do not even know the app exists! Embarrassing for this company. Go back to Starbucks.

Not convenient I don't like having to type in email and password every time I buy something. Also, it's kind of silly to have to scan once for rewards, and again for payment. Other coffee companies have this right.

So far so good I like the app, it's clean and we'll put together. What I enjoy most are the rewards, the point system is very reasonable.
