Cumbersome & unappealing The format is slow & unappealing, tried it on a few occasions and hated it. Sorry ABC, love the organisation, but this app is crap.

App locked to landscape and mimics iPad aspect ratio It's great to see an ABC app like this on Android but locking it to landscape is a poor decision. Many people enjoy using their tablets in portrait as though it were a book or magazine. Please introduce portrait functionality. Further to this, the app seems to be a port of the iPad app meaning my 16:9 screen is not being fully utilised.

Wow! Absolutely loving this app. A new way to explore current events. It's slick and polished and works flawlessly on my galaxy tab 2.

Has failed to find an internet connection New version, still "No Internet Connection" every time I launch it, despite all other apps having no problem. Very disappointing. Nexus 10. Rooting should make no difference out all the other apps would fail, if it does it is poorly written (I write apps). Using root cloak makes no difference so rooting shouldn't be the problem.

Great app Thanks again to ABC for creating ever new ways to access your wonderful news and views services. Fast download, great read. Samsung Galaxy Tab II

No Internet Connection Nexus 10 - same problem as previous review. Very disappointing to see snarky, dismissive responses here. There is something seriously wrong with your app if it can't find the constantly used Internet connection on this device - how did I just install it?

New platform Will get better with age

Thankyou "Auntie"- You Litttle Beauty! Just arrived home from the shops. Cup of Java in hand, Richard Glover's Drive programme streaming on the ABC Radio app and have just installed "The Brief" app on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). What a way to catchup for the week. Thank you for the Android tablet version. Will update this review of the Brief app asap a I have a drive around the block a couple of times. You have my vote to stop the dumb pollies flogging off/outsourcing the ABC. They will hear our voices loud and clear :) P.O. To make the search for this app easier on the Google Play store, change the title to something like "ABC - The Brief" as it took me a a few search attempts to find it as just "The Brief". You will score more downloads if you do,

Hmm A different approach. But not the sort of content for me. 100mb which u are locked into using. Wasn't for me really. I'm sick of app experiences. Just one framework would be nice...IE: www ... *yawn*
