Some problems, not the best design. One of the most annoying things is when you get an alert and click on it, it doesn't take you to the article, just the home screen. Plus the overall design of the app could be much cleaner

Tony G.

"The mistreated blacks rag" St. Louis media tends to make the black criminals to be saints. You have a Ferguson section. Put your racist articles there. I'm tired of the blacks whining instead of working. Brown assaulted an officer. Also, the editorials are so left. Always pro gun control. I've yet to see an editorial to support CCW for the law abiding citizen.

Paul Bunyan

Subscribe I subscribed so I could read all the articles, but it refuses to allow me access. If this worked I would give it a 5. But if you can't read much of it, what's the point.

Dan Mercer

Notifications? Seems I'm getting notifications & can't turn then off. If they're forced down my throat, then the notification should at least link to the story directly instead of opening the app

Kelly Chaidez

I liked it until I just noticed how every story is aimed towards leftists and the liberals, so uninstalled

Justin Potthoff

Every update makes app worse When I first installed the app in January I loved it. I could load stories in the morning on my wifi and read them offline due to the caching. Then came the first update which put an end to that. In the middle of reading an article, the "premium content" box would pop up telling me to login. After the latest update, that box pops up on every story, so I have to hope I'm fast enough to click the heart to save it before it kicks me off. A bad app is good for my friends who sell the paper, I suppose.

Ben Lubecki

Continuing terrible experience Puts you in a never ending circle repeatedly asking for log in. Highly frustrating

William Welch

Alerts are worthless Unless the alert is 1 word long, they are worthless, clicking on them usually won't take you to any story so all I saw last time was "robo call'.

Scott Leible

Very liberal App reloads in the middle of an article. Not the first time I have reviewed the same complaint.

MarkVIII Marc

Decent work in progress Good source for news. Did have a suspect "your phone may be infected" virus type add. The app misfires a lot. It will load its ads but then play like the internet is dead when it comes to load its content.

Roy Dodson

It would be nice to be able to see and make comments on stories.

Corey Worden

Loved it, now doesn't work Keeps telling me it can't be installed on USB or SD card. WTF? Gave used this app for the last 3-4 years with minimal problems and now the app doesn't work. Very angry!

Mark Dinzebach

Extortion Useless, shows headlines, but have to pay to see content. Pure garbage.

Janet Matthews

Doesn't work on my android all the sudden And I can't get anyone from the PD to help

Crystal Tucker

Lots of crashes, have to delete it and reinstall it frequently.

Dave Gralike

Popups The popup ads and subscription articles couldn't be more annoying. Fold up already, no one reads a newspaper anymore and you have failed with transitioning to electronic media. Say hello to the Globe for us when you join them.

Bruce Levitt

Does not work anymore Have not been able to connect for weeks

Willard Baker

Sign in? How? It keeps telling me I need to sign in for premium content, even though I'm already signed in.

Nathan Whelan

Crashes 9 times out of 10

Brandon Boyd

Just like the actual newspaper this app is horrible. Stories will not load. Pure crap.

Kim Daniels

Wow, what happened?? App was fine before the update -- now can't search, see full article titles on home page, select certain sections, change settings, etc. It is terrible now! Switching to a local news app.

A Google User

Got the rams headlines fixed Thanks for fixing the rams headline issue, great app now, i read it all daily...

Rena Jones

What happened !! Ever since the "upgrade" this has been terrible ! You can't go to the links at the top left to get to news or obits etc. Uninstalled it, reinstalled in..... nothing. Really miss getting my news and hate to uninstall it..please fix !!!! I had previously given it all stars on rating... not anymore :(

Gary Hollander

have to force stop before each use, or can not read articles.

Wendy B

3 stars for a resson! I rate this app 3 stars because unlike the print version there is NO comics section and NO horoscope section either!

Joe Wright

I installed this app because it was free. Now they insist you subscribe in order to read it. Malarkey! Its not worth paying for.

John Henry Muhrer

Downgrade This app recently got an update, which is usually a good thing. Sadly, this update was a series of bugs making this app just a frustrating mess.

David Goldstick

Please remove ads for subscribers Screen real estate is limited and reduces the apps' value.

Doug Dugan

cannot view Extras! Will not authorize login that I use on PC

Rich Bowers

Cannot view sports, entertainment or other sections on the new version. Please fix this. Thanks

Mike Meiners

Best experience yet. This is the news app yet, from the best news source in St. Louis.

Kim O

Used to be good But has been showing stories from two days ago but saying it's up to date. Update: tried clearing cache, then uninstall and reinstall. Still no help. Sending message to support only gets canned note that does not promise a personal response.

PapaSkittlz

Easy to use but annoying Some ad page keeps popping up as I swipe to the next article. That part is crappy. Using less and less. Sort of a last resort read now.

UPDATE: I'm done with your liberal rag. Have courage and tell the mistreated blacks to work/be responsible. App REMOVED!

Michael McClanahan

Update freezes Does not load on a samsung tablet? Thanks for non working update...

Tom Goodwin

Where did comments button go? I may just not be seeing it but what happened to the button that allowed you to view story comments?

John Eickhoff

Changed a tablet app into a phone app 2/9/16 The new release appears to have corrected the horrible phone based display on a tablets and it looks like it did before the Jan update. it still looks good on a phone. 3 * because it is still the STL Post dispatch and it is hard to stomach their left left left wing editorialization of local news. I wish they would just present the facts but no one reports the story anymore they just report what they want you to think about the story.

Kim O

Fixed some but new issue Well now we it doesn't hide the notification bar on my phone, which is an improvement. But the menu is messed up. If I go in the news menu there's no way to get into another category without closing the app and stopping it and then reopening it.

Jon Michelson

The app works well for me. One review said there were no sports. And, today, for a short time, that was the case for me. Some of the category options did not appear. Getting back into the app later, I saw that Sports was once again a choice.

Brian Richardson

Update needs work The new update is not as easy to navigate due to the different array mode for display. Also, when backing up from a story, it returns to the top of the page requiring you to scroll through the main topic list each time.

steve landsness

Major Flaw Can't see incoming texts in toolbar while using this app. I believe that is an android violation. Not sure why they would do that. You have to back out of app just to see incoming text. Crazy!

Scott Chasin

Rescrolls to top of list each time How does this get released for approval? No one that works at the Post finds this obnoxious?

Donna Moss

Not a fan of the update Always returns to to the top of the list when going back from an article. Very annoying. Please fix. Almost not worth using.

Madonna Bonney

St louis post dispatch paper

A Google User

Hate the update...keeps going back to the top after reading a story, not where I left off...ugh

Michael Hein

App goes back to top of page each time you read an article. Annoying to re-search for your last location.

Archie Bunker

Really Good..But.... My go to local news app. My only gripe is the fact you don't make a paid ad free version. The ads (not just here, ALL apps) are intrusive, slow down app, just plain bothersome. Give us people the option that HATE ads.

Douglas Nord

Overwhelmed by ads The ads introduced last summer made the app incredibly buggy and bogged down. Now it's worse! After long delays only see the pics and not the stories. Too bad we live in a #18 market where they won't spend the money to fix the app!

Bob Hesley

Overall pretty good It regularly sends notifications that don't take you to that story. Pretty frustrating

Wayne Schulte

The one to read The one to read in St Louis, love the football coverage...

Willard Baker

Better news. A problem I had with an earlier version has been fixed, and now this is my go to app for St Louis news. Up to 5 stars from 2.

Richard St. John

Needs to access Bluetooth Why does this software need to access and know about bluetooth and nearby devices?

Erik Bates

Notifications don't take you to the story. I got the app for breaking news notifications. When I get a notification, I tap it and it just takes me to the front page of the app. Completely broken functionality.

Lenno Washington

It keeps you up on the lates news

stlcardsfan55

Long load time. After recent updates, stories take about 5 secs to load. Used to be 1 sec. Amazingly, the ads load instantly. Used to rate this app a 5. Now it's just average.

A Google User

This app is horrible It only works sporadically and the stories typically don't load. Really sick and tired of it. I'd never pay for the full version of the P-D because this app sucks so bad.

Donna Moss

Each update worse than the last Takes way to long for articles to load. Additionally, the app still tends to return to the top of the list when going back from an article. Very annoying. Please fix. Almost not worth using.

Kim O

Getting worse Got to love the in-depth two-sentence stories! And huge ads everywhere.

A Google User

So slow Articles take forever to load.

Kim O

Getting worse Got to love the in-depth two-sentence stories! And huge ads everywhere...Update: now can't even use it. It keeps randomly closing itself. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same problem.

Pc Luddite

Not that great The UI is very buggy, with some articles not opening up and others being unnavigable. For the articles it does display, it's a good resource, but it mostly feels like a wrapper for a poorly implemented mobile website with unnecessarily intrusive advertisements.

Kim O

Getting worse Able to read fewer and fewer stories. It keeps showing one sentence of the story. But the tons of ads manage to show up just fine!

Crimson Shadow

Great source for local STL news Did not give five only because it crashes upon open 25% of the time.

Don Ford

Great for catching up on the local news. I check to see what's happened during the day after I climb into bed while I unwind.

Craig Limesand

Some issues I have issues with opening articles/the app failing to open, and I can't open articles from notifications.

Daniel Crawford

Long time loading This app takes a long time loading articles even when connected to high speed WiFi

Horrible Articles either take forever to open up or never open.

Jennifer Raye

Better than Paper :) Love the Stl today App and check it daily. It is formatted well and easy-to-use.

Jefferey Vanbuskirk

You can read approx 50% of the articles. The rest will not appear.

It keeps me in touch with St. Louis now that I am living in Ohio.

Scott Will

Just want the news Don't need the left leaning slant all the time.

Jennifer Jackson

A must read every morning.

Henry Zieman

One of the few good news apps that works on my older nook

Ricky Angus

Love it keeps me up to date with everything I need

John Weltin

Great App Find local news fast and accurate.

Tyrone Martin

Great App I use it for everything

Edmond Harrold

Friend from the hood

Mister Peckerhead

Great News App!!! Title says it all...

Scott Hanrahan

Good app... Easy to use

Steve Heaney

Worst newspaper app in Play Store I have checked my internet speed many times as a result of this app. Many many times when you try to go to the next page the next page just keeps spinning and sometimes you can go to the next page it will be there. The app layouts actually not that bad it's just it take so long to load the pages it becomes a chore and is therefore less than usable. The same behavior has been going on to several incarnations of this app. It must be the post dispatch does not devote enough resources to load the pages Quickly

Erik Bates

Crashes constantly. Crashes when I try to open from the breaking news notification. Pretty much useless without that functionality. Also, breaking news is not that urgent. I couldn't care less about the winner of the Father-Son lookalike contest, and it hardly counts as breaking news worthy.

Jamie Reed

Crashes at opening Not sure what bugs were "fixed" but if it had to do with crashes then they have not been. I uninstalled then reinstalled it and it continues to do it.

Don Matusofsky

Ad system kills user experience The app in general is good, but many times the ad systems stalls and blocks content from being displayed. Load time between pages is very uneven.

Tom Pardee

I use it every day. A top 10 app! I miss my daily paper, but I don't feel guilty about paper stacking up. I read most of the articles, every day!

Terri Davis

Helps me to stay informed I'm a busy person. I would like to sit and read more but that's not a reality. A headline that piques my interest invites me to.get a quick read between projects.

Kevin Jones

Bugs Way too many bugs, randomly shuts down. Doesn't always load

eric wolf

Horrible Leave it to St. Louis post dispatch to not even be able to make an app without constantly crashing. Seems about right.

Bonnie Horner

St. Louis Post Dispatch App Would be a 4 or 5 but alot of the time when accessing it stops or turns off.

Kenneth Bunselmeyer

Good Timely Local & National News Overall as good as any. Sometimes links won't load or take a very long time. One of my 're every day' apps.

Mickey Offutt

STL Post Dispatch Informative, keeps you current on every event. Good source of unbiased Cardinal updates! Would like more focus on visitor attractions.

Fire Dad

rarely works..... crashes all the time....sometimes can't find links to news after I click on the story.....

A. Gosejohan

Works fine. Has a few bad links every once in awhile.

James Shamess

Great App Works well, delivers lots of content in a clean format. Perfect on the go or even a quick check from the easy chair.

Mike Price

Pretty current But slow to load

Mark Webster

Buggy Would be a great app if it weren't for all the crashes and bugs.

Alvin Harper

Good for local News I use the baseball side of it a lot more but is nice to have local St. Louis news when needed.
