*** This is NOT a real altimeter ***

This is altimeter simulator can be used to help a SkyDiving student to practice altitude awareness. That is to practice looking at your altimeter regularly during the dive and being aware of your altitude.

Features:
* Metric and Feet support - custom altimeter face for each
* Jump height can be configured (e.g. 14,000 feet, or 4000m)
* Three simulated audible alert sounds can be configured. For example for:
- 1st: Breakoff, e.g. 5000 feet (or in meters)
- 2nd: Pull, e.g. 4000 feet (or in meters)
- 3rd: Warning, e.g. 1500 feet (or in meters)
- 4th: Canopy Descent
* Fall Rate (Belly Flying, or FreeFly/HeadDown)

Landscape mode please Would be much more useful in landscape mode on a wrist mount for AFF training. Also adding a pause / resume button would be nice (maybe just use multitouch on the face). Does it take into account the slower initial freefall due to acceleration, or just use a linear model?

Excellent tool for students As a student, I did a lot if dirt diving with the mechanical practice altimeter at the dz to correct my altitude awareness issues. This app lets you continue that practice realistically in the comfort of home. A-64019

Excellent pratice tool At the time of post Im currently an AFF student at Skydive San Diego. I can say this is one essential tool for any beginner skydive student to practice COA with mock dive flows on the ground before the real deal. Worth every penny! Thanks for the fix!

Does its job Poor UI, but just works. Nice features. Very helpful simulation for AFF students.

What is the best: - realistic jump imitation, with sound and signals; - time counter; - all necessary settings; - good price; What to improve: - pointer shape; - 2nd warning setting actually means deployment alti, w/o signal; - add option to turn orientation 90° left; - add option to remove links from main screen.

Does it take into account the slower initial freefall due to acceleration, or just use a linear model? Edit: Still no landscape? Metric face is a nice add, but would be most useful if it had another face with both scales so the metric challenged instructors can assist the metric savvy students.

Great little tool. Would be a nice touch to have a digital mode too

Question Is there a way to rotate the screen 90 degrees, so they it could be used with running armbands and it is oriented correctly?
