Great App - But My Phone is Old and Weak :-( Loved the app - found 38 Shauns last weekend but yesterday the SD card is my aging Galaxy S2 expired and I have lost all my finds in the app. Yes, I should have backed it up, and no, I didn't. Does anyone have a list of the Shaun codes so I can get back my 38 finds? We are going back to London on the bank holiday weekend to grab the last 12.
App does not like finding Shaun Spent a couple of days in London and found a lot of Shauns. Unfortunately the app switched off the phones gps and network data, making it impossible to register any of the found statues. So my only proof of finding them is the photos I took. Never mind but the app definitely needs fixing.
Changed handset and lost the lot ! Not impressed Having spent the day in London and getting all 50 sheep plus the associated trophies, I have since upgraded my handset and have now lost all the trophies etc.. Is it possible to get the trophies back onto the app on my new handset - it asked me for my email address when I downloaded it - is the app and email address linked? I did email but have had no response !
No Contact Having completed all the Sean Trails and achieved most of the trophies I loved it and was looking forward to Bristol. I upgraded my phone, Installed the app signed in I've lost everything. tried messaging Aardman on Facebook and emailing. To see if I could get some assistance but not even had a reply now considering cancelling my trip to Bristol.
Great fun to use, especially with the sound up :-) Great ap with lots of detail. Love the sound effects
Great fun! Made walking fun. So this is our first time in London and this app plus the GPS feature got us around the city without having any issues.
Great app, great cause Great app. One thing which would be good to add would be the ability to take a photo of Shaun from directly in the app (like the Gromit app!)
Iast update Last update made it useless :( I cannot insert my Shawn neither using GPS nor the code. Ps. IT seems I have found what the problem is - the app is not very responsive when I touch the screen, what is weird. Anyway - for me it's not about the app, it's a out charity, that's what counts.
Great trail (and app) We found the app very useful in completing the London trail. I had a few gps issues with my phone which affected the app. Thankfully the trail organisers had provided codes on the Shauns so we were able to record our visits. I can't wait to see the Bristol flock!
Useful but not perfect The app is great for following the trails and locating the Shauns. It's also motivating to see them being ticked off. However, using GPS within the app just didn't seem to work. It rarely put me in the correct place. I collected all 50 Shauns over 3 visits but didn't get the trophy for opening the app in London! I even ran to a shaun but alas I didn't collect that one either. still better than not having it at all though, just frustrating at times
Baa-rilliant app!!! I love having this app on my phone. Much easier than using a paper map. Got 49 Shauns...only one left to go and then on to the ones in Bristol. My only worry is that i have upgraded from a Samsung S4 to the S6 Edge and although the apps have transfered over when opened on new phone i get a green screen. I'm scared if i uninstall and reinstall that all my info will have reset itself!
Changed phones and lost everything :( Not impressed. Before that the app was fine, although it badly needs some sort of social connectability (share finds/stats on facebook or compare with contacts) and running it while looking ran phone battery down quickly. The 'barrow' in Covent garden needs pin pointing on the app map (although after an hour finding it selection was disappointing).
Buggy on S6 Using on a galaxy s6 and buttons are unresponsive, location doesn't seem to be great and no social media updates? Give me the gromits paper map any day!
App doesn't even open Bought the app & can't even open it. Not much use as on our way to London, 2 very disappointed kids!!!
Not everything works as well as it should Mostly works well, but GPS is variable, the spinning round and tailgate trophies do not seem to get awarded, no matter how hard I try. The trail completion took an age to register, don't know about the time ones, haven't aimed for this yet. Tried running, not registered, but then it worked at the next Shaun! Hope these wrinkles get resolved before Bristol. V1.04, running on Galaxy S5, Android 5.00. **UPDATE 23/04/15** Advised by email that the spinning trophy has had variable success with Android phones, but the developers are trying to determine root cause, but currently without success. Also advised that once a trail is complete, click it again on the trail page to get trophies awarded - that did work.
:) I had trouble at the begining (it was slow and it went all green at the end) but after the up date, I instilled it again and now it works like a charm. Love it.
Still won't work! We set off during the Easter holidays to see if it was possible to get to all 50 Shaun's in one day ... Progress was slow as the app couldn't locate me most of the time (very glad for the codes so I could log my finds). After around 25 finds the app went into green screen each time I tried to open it. Installed the update that fixed the problem but have finished the London trail today, logged our finds but now back to a green screen when I try to open the app :-(
Can't get tailgater trophy to register despite trying at every shaun, why?
EwE-TAILGATER!!!! Love it! Except cannot do Tailgater PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell us how.. no one knows!!!!!! I tried and tried!!!!! Abbey Road is miles away too.... There should be a Shaun there to make it worthwhile!
App not loading The app was working well (apart from being a bit slow at times) but now I can't even access it at all. It will load the opening with Aardman logo but then will just sit on a blank green screen with no buttons and will not load. My phone memory is sufficient. I have tried clearing my cache, updating the app and restarting my phone but it still won't go past the blank screen. I am worried if I delete the app and download it again that I will lose all of my progress so far.
Great fun for kids but a bit clunky... Great concept, but feels a bit clunky and not quite as responsive as could have been. Navigation between screens to record sheep found and going back to trail information does not feel intuitive and reqires too many 'clicks'. Some trophies not awarded,e.g., crossing Thames even though done several times. Would be great if detailed maps were bundled with the app instead of requiring internet connection.
App not loading Went to London yesterday and we went round and got all 50 in the one day. When initially downloaded there did not seem to be a problem at all, but then when started going round London the app would start loading and then freeze at the green screen. It was therefore completly useless the entire day. I have all the codes so when it eventually starts working I can add them in, but makes the app a little pointless. I hope this all gets fixed before the bristol trail.
Needs improvement The app is really slow often crashes, closes the page you were on if you leave app. Map location can't connect where you are to where nearest sculpture is. We still had fun using it and my 7yr old boy loved it.
Ewes-less App freezes constantly. But now won't even open. Tried closing all other apps as suggested but still nothing.
Love Shaun, love the app. Well done app, great animations. Fun to use and for charity! 5 stars!
Great fun! Brilliant app. Having lots of fun trotting around London hunting sheep.
SOOOOO HELPFUL I usually get lost but with this app it is so easy to find where the shaun's are!!!! ???????
Grrr Shaun Sheep app!! Been on holiday in London and this app freezes all the time! My little girl has been gutted today is our last day & app only let us record 1 find!! x
Disappointing implementation I have done a number of trails, with different AP's, and the people who designed this apparently haven't. 1) You can't take pictures using the ap, there's no facility for that. 2) The default map appears to be Bristol, which hasn't had its Shaun's installed yet. 3) The detail on the maps, specifically the names of small streets very close to the Shauns just isn't there -and the addresses when you open a particular Shaun are less than helpful (St James' park is a bloody big place). 4) A number of the Shaun's are NOT where they were marked on the maps. The two in Covent Garden, for instance, are just opposite St Paul's church, and at the CG end of Russell. Neither is anywhere near the opera house. The two in Carnaby St are the wrong way around, and the St James' park one is right up near the winged victory statue at Buck palace, NOT somewhere in the middle of the park. Trafalgar square's is on the roundabout, not in the middle of a building. 5) Those Shauns (eg Hamleys) which ARE inside buildings do NOT appear to be so marked. This means you can't run the trails outside business hours. 5) The pinch and zoom regularly results in a Shaun, and a white screen with no detail.
Great app, great fun, amazing Shaun's The app itself is very good, it has all the information you need to enjoy a great day out hunting sheep. It's only £1.50 and well worth it, plus the money goes to Charity. The sheep themselves are amazing and thier locations are well placed taking you to many varied and exciting locations across London. The app has trails to choose from and challenges to complete, highly recommend this app and thanks for a great day out.
Very fast feedback from developers Home screen is actually a scrolling page with settings for audio etc at the bottom. Tap or swipe anywhere else instead of pressing the green button if you want to use the app for the first time without giving your email address. Neither point is particularly intuitive. Very quick response from the developers on these points though. Up to a 4 already, and I haven't even left the house yet.
Bewetiful shaun gonna see him soon yay Baarilliant
Excited to use it! Looks brilliant! Can't wait to get out and have a play with it!
Loads of fun for the family Used the Gromit App last years.Have some nice days out with the family tracking them down.
Looks good! We'll be trying it out properly on Saturday!
Sean in the city Sean in the city think it's baaariliant
Wickeeeed!! Lovely stuff.
Brilliant and fun app Loved the app, I'm sure most of the problems were my old phone....but loved it....roll on Bristol.....aiming to get all 70 in one day....
Lost all data App is ok, very useful for locating the statues, but couldn't use it when I tried used GPS so I had to type all the numbers im on the statues. Also: I got a new phone and the app re-set itself so it doesn't show I found all 50 statues. Very annoyed by it!
Fails to mention that it finished on the 31st May! Real struggle to find this out until after it was purchased and stood in a location with no shaun!
Almost perfect Works brilliantly, but map can be a bit dim-witted and slow.
