***Previously Secure Password Vault*** is an app that can store all of your passwords, credit cards, and notes in a secure way. Entries are stored in an encrypted file using AES encryption on your external storage (usually the SD Card). Additional protections have been added to protect against brute-force and rainbow table attacks.

This app does not require any special permissions beyond reading and writing to external storage, especially not full internet access like others do.

Your password file can be backed up so you can easily restore the data later. The backup file is also encrypted rendering the file practically useless to anybody who gets their hands on it. The backup feature works really well if you have Dropbox or similar cloud based storage apps installed. Otherwise you can backup the file by emailing it to yourself or any other app that supports the share intent.

Entries are searchable, simply click the search button on your android device. Note: The passwords themselves are not searched only the other metadata like names, hints, urls, usernames, etc.

Finally, it includes a password generator. Simply select the desired length and types and out comes a completely random password.

My day job involves computer security and protecting sensitive data. I wrote this app based on those experiences mostly for myself. Hopefully others find it useful as well.

Whats new

    * Encryption is now even stronger
    * Fixes bug for a small percentage of users on Android 4.2+
    * Minor tweaks to UI
    * Code optimizations

Useful This app has a nice UI, and, more importantly, secure!

Hangs open on my HTC One X+ I have this app on my Kindle Fire and it works fine. On my HTC One X+, the app hangs open at the last password I was viewing (if I do not completely back out of the app). Basically, when anyone opens this app on my phone, they will see the last password that I was accessing. Somewhat frustrating as I always have to remember to back out of the app. On my Kindle Fire, the app just closes automatically.

Used to be great Loved this app until I upgraded to the Samsung Note 4. When I tried to restore my back up the app looks to the 'photos' directory instead of the drive or documents directory.

Security! I really like it's native and not on cloud. Works great. No problems! Easy very user friendly.

So useful! I have too many passwords to keep track of and this keeps everything at my fingertips. Best of all, it's way better than keeping my passwords written down or unlocked on my phone! I love this app and use it all the time! :-)

Most unhappy.... Will not open in HTC Evo after setting password. Just wants to continually change password. Not even worth FREE as performing now!!!!

It's great to have this available at my fingertips and yet secure. Better than writing it [email protected]
