Ever wondered what satellites are flying above your head when you look up? This app will show them to you using augmented reality. Point your phone's camera to the sky, and small icons track the locations of various satellites. Those in sunlight are colored yellow to help you look for them on a clear night.

Eye in the Sky There are literally thousands of satellites in the sky doing everything fom beaming TV and radio to monitoring weather. This app allows you to point your camera in the air to see where satellites are and whether they're visible to the naked eye.
Now using a Sony Xperia, after not liking this app on my previous phone...still sucks.identifies nothing passing overhead...absolutely no accurate anything as far as I can tell Thinking of uninstalling..doesn't seem to be accurate..I see a satellite passing over head but the app doesn't seem to know it's there..would be helpful if the app showed time when an object will be passing over..so far no visible object I see shows up in my screen. Wtf.
does it's job, for free there are payware apps doing the same. no need to try them as this one works perfectly
Fantastic App Nothing could be better for viewing/locatiing ma-nmade space objects. Just select the type of object/satellite and the camera turns on with a grid overlay and a search direction arrow to steer you to your desired object. As long as you calibrated your compass and enabled GPS you are there! Works perfectly on Motorola Bravo.
Unbelievable. This app won't work until the UARS satellite burns up and hits earth. I cannot believe everybody doesn't know what's going on.
Amazing! Not sure how useful it is for the average Joe like myself, but the app is pretty amazing. I love it. Just watch the geostatic orbit - you'd never believe we had so many satellites orbiting Earth. Taking into account it's a free app, one couldn't ask for more.
Best tracker app... But runs persistently until you manually kill the app.. other than that this is the best sat tracking app in the play store. Will bring score to 5 stars when fixed.
Would Get 5 Stars I would give this app 5 stars but on my sony erricson xperia arc on opening it says the camera cannot be initialised but this isn't a big problem, I'm not sure if i am looking in the right direction due to a constant message of compass calibration inaccurate!!! have followed there instructions and watched some you tube videos, can get other apps calibrated but not this one!!!! Possible Fix?????
Good if not better than star4map A good companion to star4map or space junk, only better for Sat tracking. Excellent app. Desire HD.
Not accurate Needs improvements. It often is 45 degrees off and I have to relocate the dish. It needs a favs option and a camera pic option.
Works Pretty Well, BUT.... This app will continue to run in the background unless you kill it with your task manager. I made the mistake of not closing it the first day I used it, and it drained my battery from 95% to 30% in 90 minutes. An auto-terminate setting (after running in the background for X number of minutes, close program automatically) would be a great addition to this program.
Font too small Can't read what is being displayed on the main screen. Unable to speak to how well it works because I can't tell what I just asked it to do. The screen is divided into three micro columns in portrait and four columns in landscape, not the single column shown in the app's screenshots.
Problem with tiny fonts Droid Turbo The version I used on a Motorola Defy XT was great, and I gave it 5 stars! This version on a Droid Turbo has an unreadable menu due to teenie, tiny fonts. I hope it can be fixed, but I'm uninstalling now, since I can not use it effectively. I'll try out a future version.
Toptastic App Download 5 min before the passing off the ISS. Great way to help you spot saterlights, with great links to additional information. And all for free :0D Defiantly no complaints here
It works, but... Needs to have Dish Network/Direct TV sats searchable by their names/numbers. Most do not know that DN is actually Echostar. Needs a catagory for just TV sats. Make search criteria saveable to a catagory so you don't have to type in the search everytime.
what a hunk of junk! i close every other app running on my droid, i attempt to start this app, after 8 minutes it says error because it couldnt communicate with the server. meanwhile i have all bars and ability to make calls or use my gps. 0 STARS! or satellites!
Holy cow! It's a junkyard up there. My man, seriously? This is a GREAT app! It gives you choices of all kinds of satellites, counts down to when they're coming into range, shows their position in the sky, indicates whether they'll be visible and all sorts of other good stuff. Now, to be fair, some of the criticisms leveled at Satellite AR are deserved; it really would be a mighty fine function to track an individual 'bird' (apart from the ISS, which is featured) and to store the satellite data offline rather than having to download it every time. It is for reasons like this that I would award 4½ stars if possible. However for the price (exactly $0.00) you can't complain so 5 stars it is. I'm very pleased with this app. :-) Samsung Galaxy Note 717.
So very cool! My wife and I live in Houston, so we don't get to see most of the small fry. But I always check on the ISS which looks like a fast-moving jet and very distinct shape with binoculars. This app pinpoints the time and location. Galaxy S3.
By far the best I use this app almost daily for work. Most accurate one I found so far.
Works great! It is app2sd compatible and does as advertised. That's 5 stars in my book, app2sd is only way I give them. A good app with out it will only get 4 otherwise. I loaded all sats and no issues, my droid is a Casio commando so...
Fault on playstore download Help download stops at 30kb not 33kb that's needed so cannot download this app wtf please fix asap then i will adjust my review date 28th Jan 2015 see how quick i get help?
Great app. Sensors in my Galaxy s2 can sometimes be a little odd about changing orientation, but otherwise this is easy to use and very informative.
Excellent! Due to falling satellite, servers are obviously a bit slow but it does work if you persevere a little bit and it's pretty amazing. Thumbs up! (My device is HTC Desire)
Impressive but crashes at first. Was impressed with the camera overlay. But it wouldn't load the all satellites. Change settings to GPS and loaded but crashed after 10 seconds or so. Continued loading with various options turned off and it seems to have stabilized. Now with all the bells and whistles going. This would have been very handy while installing DirecTV. Would give it five stars if the initial experience wasn't so buggy. The database, starmaps and camera options seem to have to fight it out for a while before they all work together.
Amazing app!! I can't believe agi provided this app for free. It would be nice to be able to cache ephemeris so it can be used without an internet connection, but I'm not going to complain.
Great and Fun Works perfect, fast and smooth. Dang how many satellites are near US :>
Amazing app I used this app for my job as a DirecTV technician to show ignorant customers to let them know there is no line of sight
Incomplete data? I was watching the sky and saw satellites (?) that the app didn't show either in Potentially visible object or All active sets. Maybe UFOs.
Horrible on the Asus Transformer Gets about 5 GPS on this tablet. The screen is very lagged, most of the time you've gone right past where the sats are and see it jump right past your screen. Selection of objects is great, performance is horrible. ICS 4.0.3
This app is awsome. Never knew there were so many satellites above at one time.
Very informative It is very detailed in design. User friendly! Highly recommend
Failed to load menu I have wifi connection but it fails to load satellite menus on my epic 4g touch.
Good app, does what it supposed to do! Great app! I wish there was a way to track specific satellites to see the exact time of where they're going to be visible. Works great on Galaxy S2.
Working fine. Cool app. Seems the updates have worked Working great. Cool app. Updates seem to have fixed previous complaints
Sky High If you can touch & look up! It will work for you, if you have vision in one eye it works. It's so very simple. GALAXY S5
Awesome! I have been looking for something like this ever since I started working at a spaceflight hardware company. Now I can find what I built!
Which Will The Sun/Son Touch? Great app to see 'em while they are still in orbit, and before they are touched by the Sun--or "Son."
Needs a predictor for ISS passes and Iridium Flares. Intersting app. But it needs a predictor of potentially visible events like ISS passes and iridium flares integrated into the app.
samsung galaxy Y Nice application to enjoy worldwide Satellites in your Android cell phone screens. Only you need to operate this application is you need G.P.R.S DATA CONNECTION & GPS.
Inconceivable! This is a great app. The augmented reality view jump around alot and sometimes gets confused. However, I have noticed this with other ar apps. Does anyone have an tips or tricks to make it work better?
Vasap Its great additional realm app! Please add clock with seconds to provide help in watching iridium flashes.
Unusable on GalaxyS6 Application os great but due to high resolution on GalaxyS6 I'm not able to navigate this application.
Greg Davis /Satellite Technician Calibrate and its pretty accurate. I was skeptical but very suprised.
Not bad for a freebie Works well for me I use it every day for sat installs with directv. It's off by just a bit to the right, so point left a hair.
Hard to work for satellite tv setup I tried this to align my directv. No instructions at all. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty cool. But you need to be a prof and familiar with how to handle a phone as a compass. At one point I was tilting the phone up and down and it was showing a movement left to right. Made no sense and I'm pretty good at figuring things out. Getting the satellite tilt up and down is the hard part. Left and right is easy. Point it south and move it an inch at a time until you start to get signal on the signal screen.
Too small to read This app worked great on my RAZR MAXX. I recently upgraded to a Turbo 2 and I can't zoom in on the main menu anymore.
Can't read it Tried to re-download this app but it is so small u can't read WHT is going on or what anything is. Seemsime it may work if it were readable.
Doesn't seem to work I'm sure this is a great app if it works, but on my Galaxy SII it just tries to load the menu, then goes into demo mode and shows only 1 Satellite. Tried with 3G and Wifi numerous times, confirmed working internet connection. Link to developers page from Market doesn't work either.
Does not work with Samsung Droid Charge (SCH-I510) This application DOES NOT work on the Droid Charge. I tried endlessly to connect on both 4G, 3G and on WIFI and all I get is a message stating "This program is operating in off-line mode. For best results, connect to the network and reload this menu. I even tried to reinstall it twice." No go!!
Keep looking up! I have had this FREE, ad FREE, almost data usage FREE, app installed on everything I've had for many years flawlessly, from eclair to jellybean. It functions great with a short learning curve. I recommend this app for anyone that looks at the night sky and wonders what that little dot is moving across the sky. Potentially visible and ISS are the best. Right now I'm trying to find a geostationary sat with my telescope. Only 1 thing I would + is coordinates, heading, and speed info at the touch of the screen.
Nice concept but bizarre interface (appears to be a bug) This app has an interesting concept: Visualize satellites on a live camera overlay. Unfortunately, it thinks my Nexus 5 is a tablet and renders two columns of impossible to click options (unlike the screenshot above). I'll certainly be able to give a better rating once I'm able to effectively use it.
Old AT better This use to be a useful app, when it showed see list of satellites and dispossess accurate look angles based on your gps location. Now it is nothing more than a cheesy star map. Can you please bring back this functionally for us antenna installers?
Awesome and scary! I was able to track the international space station just moments ago. I could also follow it as a light with my naked eye and it disappeared very close to what the app was displaying. The alignment with my phone was spot on. A friend was doing it and the forever skeptic I am I had to try it. Impressed!
Good enough Great app. Two thing I would love to see that might easily be implemented. Smoother tracking. The target seems to jump. Also a visual "red" setting for the sky map and targets. Red will not hurt your night vission when holding up the phone and your eyes going back and forth...phone, sky, phone, sky...
Looks good so far. Not tested in the real world as yet but predictions of ISS becoming visible tie in with other sources exactly...updates on a less cloudy night! Got a break in the clouds, ISS was exactly where it should have been (after I had waited for the tree to get out of the way!)
It's not working.... again..... The Directv and Dish network satellites don't show in the correct location. It should show the orbital slot of the satellites that would help a lot. Went back to Dish Pointer Pro $20 but worth every penny!
Need update I loved this app on my Galaxy 5 Player (not a phone). Now that I have a Galaxy S6 all the buttons are tiny and fill a corner of the screen. You need a magnifying glass to read the buttons and a tiny finger to hit the right button. If an update comes out soon to fix the display I'll change to 5 star. All the satelite views still look fine if you can hit the right button.
Stopped working. I used this app for a week than locked up. No matter what direction i pointed my phone it stayed stuck south. What do you expect for free i guess.
Great app For the last update being in 2012, it is amazing. For the people that see satellites passing overhead, but not identified by the app, its identity is probably not available to the public. Would be great if the number of stars could be reduced to constellations only though.
Tis app worked great with my S# but now that I have an S6 edge plus it doesn't work at all. Tried the usual, removed, cleared data, etc. and reinstalled still didn't work. All of my other apps that use gps work fine.
Way overdue The selection buttons are essentially unreadable because they are so small. Connection over WiFi often fail requiring phone data. Last UI could be better. Having said all this, it usually works pretty well.
Amazing!!! Saw something cruising across the night sky. Pulled this out for the first time, took aim, and it was the international space station! This is my new fav app, and will be for any sky or nature geek. :))
Text is unreadable The app has extremely tiny text. I cannot read a thing on there. I have to squint to read. Too difficult, useless if it takes me forever to read it.
Just one thing... It's really cool but... there's a little green bar that's flashing at the bottom of the screen when I enter the view mode and it hurts my eyes like crazy... hate to do it, because it seems to work fine finding satellites, but uninstalled. Samsung Stratosphere.
One of the coolest night sky apps. I was very impressed with it's ui. It super imposes a star map with animated satellites over real-camera images of your night sky. I was blown away. Nice work!
Great! First, you can't beat the price, now it is hard to put it down. To all the people who complained about this, learn how to modify your phone! I must have burnt one or two calories installing this
Excellent App, But Font Way Too Small This looks like a great app. I loaded it up and could not read a single letter on the screen. I have a Galaxy S4 and even with the magnifying glass, I can barely see what buttons to push. Mine does not look anything like the photos on this page. Maybe it is just for a tablet. It is definitely not designed for a 5 in screen phone. Even my girlfriend has a really hard time seeing the screen and she has really good vision. The little bit of playing with it, seem to do what I want in an app. Just need to make it where I can see it. Please adjust the font size. Thanks.
I only have a quick question how will I know DirecTV installers will be able to get a lock on their TV satellite for me to be able to get a signal. If I point my phone to the sky can see where it shows the DirecTV satellites does this mean that I can get a signal?
