reYmote is a universal remote application for Android devices.

reYmote is highly configurable. The configuration effort is the same as the possibilities: huge!
It may also require deep technical knowledge, depending on what you want to control and how. The "how" also depends on your equipment, how much money you want to spend and what technical skills you have (like electronics or programming).

So please keep in mind that this app may not be designed for you, before downrating the app.

If you are completely new to reYmote you should start reading the manual first (

*** This is the lite version ***
- 10 commands can be configured.
- 3 remotes can be configured.
- No NFC functionality.
- No data import/export functionality.
- No execution of reYmote commands from Tasker/Llama/Locale.
- Commands can not be set to Hardware-Buttons.
- Lite version shows ads on List-Screens and Dashboard

The differences to the pro version may change in future updates.

Terrible I can read a tech manual. There are however no directories or threads devoted to the information I want and the search function takes you to a different site

Excellent I don't often review apps; however, I felt compelled to review this one. I used this app to control IR devices via a Global Cache WF2IR device - it works perfectly. I am a fairly technical user, and I have played the role of software developer in the past, so that gave me some insight into the program. So I can appreciate that some people would like more documentation. That said, for a user like myself, I would not want a simpler interface that would compromise the flexibility of this program. Although I'm giving it 5 stars - I will list a couple of potential improvements: It seems to lag sometimes when the active field is a text box - in fact it often takes a long time for the keyboard to pop up. I'm not sure if this is a keyboard thing (I use Swype) or the reYmote app causing the delay. Secondly, when creating a picture remote, I would like to see custom colours for buttons (for instance I want to create a Red Power button and a Green power button). Finally, there may be some opportunities to improve stability.

Works well First of all--excellent app, ignore the 1-star ratings. I would like to see plugin support for adding custom devices (or really just add the Galaxy Tab 2 irda service directly, it's very simple and I've already built a workaround). I will buy pro if this gets implemented.

Not user friendly I can see where this app is heading, but it's not user friendly. It doesn't sync with my internal IR blaster, so I doubt that it works for my device (Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0). Though not stated in the app, I'm pretty sure that it requires some sort of peripheral to work.

Wtf?? I'm sure this works great... if you've got a degree in computer programming or electrical engineering. I'm generally pretty good with sifting through things until I can figure them out; however, this is far beyond anything in my modest skill set

Has potential This program is not exactly user friendly and I can't get it to work with the internal IR on my Samsung galaxy tab 2 7. All I know is, when it supports my internal IR I will gladly buy the pro version and learn how to use it. The picture to digital remote concept is brilliant. I will keep a close eye on this program...definitely could be a 5 star soon!

How? It just not work at all. No instruction video, that means no any way to work.

A Google User

Que? So you have to be a computer programmer or something to enjoy this app. I just wanted a basic TV remote, like power, volume, channels.... But nooooo. Not for simpletons like me.

Works good for what its intended for. Still learning the features of this program.

Stupid Won't connect to anything. This app is about as pointless as my dog f***ing my neighbor right in his a**hole!!!!! Don't waste your time to download it. Its a piece of s***!!!

Great App Works as advertised. Better than I anticipated. Giving 4 stars due to lack of documentation. Is intuitive enough though. Needs more button features like make button from image. People giving this app a poor rating clearly are not reading its purpose and are ignorant. Keep up the great work dev. Anxious to see the improvements.

Requires Hardware As far as I can tell this app requires a $170 piece of hardware to work. I couldn't get it to do anything by itself.

Solid This app rocks! Bought pro the first day...

A Google User

doesn't work Don't download this app... its hard to figure out and it didn't work.

A Google User

...what? How do I even use this???

A Google User

Stupid I cant get it to work. Confusing as hell

A Google User

Trash! Doesnt even have insructions how to use app...pointless without instructions!

A Google User

? Incredibly confusing

A Google User

Crap Ridiculous. Don't bother TRYING to set this stuff up.

A Google User

Lame Needs a simple button gui for making selections.

A Google User

You have one buyer! Great job. Waiting for pro version!

Looks promising This app has great potential. I was able to set it up to control my TV and PVR in about half an hour using an iTach. Confused by the concept of "Remotes" - I have three set up but can't see where I am able to choose one of them (only the top one from the configuration is ever listed). I'll be watching this app closely!

great proof of concept really impressive from a proof of concept standpoint. The simplicity of the user interface is really great & online manual is easy to follow.. I really like the ability to easily generate - directly on the device - different remotes/layouts. More stars once we get more than 5 commands…

Excellent Start Excellent start. Excellent Idea. A new way to get all your needs for home automation. One of the first to use the real potential of a table display. I hope for more and more improvements. X10 controlling is possible using a X10 infrared interface like IR7243 Mini Controller. Congratulations Andreas. José A. Zeferino

Hope youve got a masters degree in engineering, if not, chances are you just lost several minutes of your life that youll never get back.

Bewildering I will never know if this actually works or not. Spent 10 mins and go nowhere. Im a programmer and cant work it out, good luck to a layman. My advice, dont waste your time like I did.

Over my head Not sure how to rate it. Seems like I need to be tech savvy to use it. I just don't have the time to sit down and figure it all out.

Excellent The best app so far that's worked with Global Cache wifi to ir. Looking forward to the full version. --Jay

Awesome application I downloaded this app and turned around and bought the pro version the next day. This is an excellent remote application and has the advanced functionality to control just about anything. Highly recommended!
