Tigris & Euphrates is set in the ancient fertile crescent with players building civilizations through tile placement.

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

In fertile Mesopotamia between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, lies the cradle of civilization.

Your goal is to develop all 4 of the key spheres of civilization: Settlements, Temples, Farms, and Markets. To do this, you will position your leaders, create and extend kingdoms, build monuments, and resolve conflicts. Tension arises when kingdoms connect and leaders clash on the board, with only one leader of each type surviving. You will thus aquire victory points in each of the four spheres. The winner is the player who develops their civilization in the most balanced way, without revealing a sphere of weakness.

With no setup time required, no pieces to lose, and no arguments about the rules, the future of board games is here and Tigris & Euphrates gives you exactly what you want -- to play!

How to play:

During their turn, the active player may carry out up to two of the following actions, in any order:

- Position (place, move or remove) a leader.
- Place a tile and earn a victory point.
- Place a catastrophe tile.
- Swap up to 6 tiles

The active player may choose two different actions, or the same action twice.

Features
========
No set up required
Support for 3 modes of play: solo, "pass and play," and "hotseat" (around the table) play
Stunning HD graphics
In-game hints make it easy to learn the game

Not compatible with Nexus 10! Great game but wont even load my nexus 10! Edit: customer service no help as of yet... Edit.. weeks later and still no help from the dev.

James Cox

Brilliant. How it should be done. Far too often have turn based and board games been trialled on the latest gadgets and far too often do they fall short of basic expectations. This does not. Great work. I'll be following your work from now on, guys. Awesome.

Mark Kittel

A terrific game with some minor issues.... Great implementation of T&E. The interface is well-designed, the artwork is beautiful, and the soundtrack matches well the era of the theme of this game. Sadly it appears Codito is getting out of game dev for a while.... so not only will this not get updated but neither will their iOS games. So take it for what it is and hope for the future!

Rob Siekerka

Learn the game It's a great app for learning T&E strategy. Only local play against bots is available but you probably learn better than paying against other ppl anyway.

Christopher Ward

Addictive and very enjoyable Saw this app whilst browsing and bought it on impulse having played the board game Carcassonne for many years. And it's a fab little app. Once you master the basics, games are quick but always a challenge. And it is infinitely replayable. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is that the high scores function is broken. It works ok in a session, but exit the game and scores are zeroised when next playing. And not sure what the arrows at the top of the score screen do. But for pure gameplay it's 5 stars all the way.

Matt Himple

Working on Nexus 10 5.0.1 Love this game! Tutorial is great and teaches the game in an easy to understand way. Worth every penny. Actual game is out of print, but we can still enjoy it here!

Ernie Hornak

Great game! Great App! Great port of board game to Android! Works great, plays great! Buy this app and support the dev so they will be able to port more great board games to Android platform!!!

Ciprian Dogaru

Good but needs more work Crashes too often. Couldnt finish a single game in hot seat and can't resume. Will increase rate in next update if fixed. Other then that awesome game! Edit months later dev still not touched the release. Last time I give them money

Mathias Cronjäger

Excellent Very polished and we'll made. Also the well made tutorial-function is nice, since the rules of this game can be a bit daunting for the uninitiated.

Paul Eastland

Very Nice It looks great. Please ignore complaints of the sides being "chopped off". With the current aspect ratio, the graphics are crisp and clear. If it was artificially stretched to fit the screen, it would look blurry and just wrong. (See the game "Yesterday" for an example of a game ruined by this. )

Grant Pasmore

Good game and graphics, computer plays a bit tough Very nice way to learn the game. Graphics and tutorial are quite well done. The only issue for beginners is that computer opponents play very well even at lowest setting, which is frustrating when learning the game.

Jordan Woll

Near perfect; It's only missing online play Can't say much else about this game other than it is beautifully executed and you should immediately buy it if you like board games or strategy games in general. Plays great on my HTC OneXL, and on my old Acer tablet it looks magnificent. The UI changes on a tablet to resemble an actual table top setup. It's great. Some are complaining that there is a steep learning curve. If you read the rules, THEN walk through the tutorial, I feel like it should be very easy to pick up for folks that play board games regularly. My only feature request would be for online, possibly asynchronous multiplayer.

Mickey Killianey

Good adaptation of board game Not as polished as iOS version (there are occasional forced crashed and bugs/glitches with stats and undo), but a respectable effort nonetheless.

Phil Walton

I love Tigris & Euphrates! I love me some Tigris & Euphrates. This version scratches the itch I have for the game without having to wait for my friends' schedules to clear up or wrangle them all together. The AI is adjustable and can be a challenge even on the easiest level, but that's good. There's room to grow! I got a little lost in the tutorial at one point, but otherwise this is an excellent digital representation of the original. Good work! :-)

Mario T. Lanza

A fun Saturday afternoon I'm a huge fan of the boardgame, so when I saw this had come to the Android, I couldn't resist. The game is well implemented and a pleasure to play. The only downfall is I'd like a stronger AI player, one that is a little less predictable. As it stands now, because I've learned the AI is adverse to risky battles, I can usually use that to my advantage. I simply encroach on the AI and do my best to section him off into a corner, while I build up my kingdoms for a landslide attack. In any case, I had a fun, fun afternoon playing the game. I sincerely appreciate the effort that went into this. I can imagine how hard it is to write a bot that's competitive.

Antonio Díaz

Fantastic port, but... Here we have a fantastic port of a masterpiece boardgame. The visuals are ok (the original boardgame isn't exactly a beauty), and it runs smoothly in my tablet. But there's a couple of features missing that it would get this app a 5-star rating: - Implementing the expansion of the game: die Zikkurat. It is a really great addition to the main game and I miss it in the app. - Creating some challenges or scenarios. One of the best advantages of a digital port is that you can make a series of challenges or fixed scenarios in which you confront the player to a set problem. They are very typical in Chess or Go, but no stranger to other games. That would have been an excellent addition that would make the playability of the app last longer and encourage proprietors and pros of the game to buy it. I hope Codito think through this and weigh the possibility of adding those features. Of course, I would grant a 5-star rating gladly if they did. Also, I searched and saw that they ported other boardgames to iOS, so I hope they plan to port them also to Android, so we can enjoy them.

David Hein

Very well done If you like the board game or love strategy games at all you will adore this app. Well done devs.

Michael Cheong

Captures the beauty of the original Most board games don't port well into digital media. I'm glad to say that this isn't one of them! The AI is challenging enough and the graphics look good without obstructing gameplay. Steep learning curve though!

Wayne McCrory

Great game, needs online play Great game, has crashed a few times but the auto save worked and I was able to jump right back in. Online play would push this to a 5.

David Greenhill

Great Gfx lil glitchy and very precise touches needed. Other than those great app and game!

Troy Spicer

One critique Stunning graphics usually doesn't mean the ends of the screen are chopped off. I assume the game is a simple port of the squarish apple pad screen.? Awkward.

matthew edmondson

Polished gem of a game. It's hard to find fault with this game. The production is great, the AI is tricky enough, the mechanics good. It's not an easy instagame and I needed to return to the rules a couple of times to make sense of aspects of the game. But if you like board games then you will already know that this is part of the joy of a worthwhile game. And worthwhile it is! Thank you.

Damion Pisacane

Solid adaptation This game does pretty much everything right. The tutorial, while spartan, does a great job teaching the game, and the interface is perfect on any sized screen. I have had absolutely no issues with stability, and the AI puts up a good fight. Bravo to the developers. I hope to see more board game adaptations of this calibre on Android.

Paolo Amato

Excellent strategy board games... ... The only issue I see is that on nexus 7 the board is not filling the screen. Please updated it!

Geo Pretorius

As good as the real thing My board game is in storage, but this is just as good. Well done and thanks!

John Pettigrew

Great game, okay conversion Great game and transfers really well to the tablet. But loses one star for being 4:3 only - pretty poor not to support native resolutions. Presumably this is an iOS port but the devs should really try a little harder - it's so good otherwise!

Bill Shubert

Pretty good implementation of a great game Overall it's a good game, a great way to play this in your spare time. But it has drawbacks: It loses one star for non-handling of backspace and menu bottons, and another star for having no multiplayer. Plus it would be nice if it supported the alternate map in the latest edition of the game. But still, if you like T&E, then this is a must buy.

Simon Clemenson

Great game Been praying for this on android, not disappointed, AI could be better, but hotseat is a great addition. Only thing missing is online play.

Joachim Erdtman

A Classic Board Game and Awesome App! This is an app based on a classic board game, one of the best of all time. The app works very well, comes with a good tutorial and even calls the conflicts what they are: war and revolts. It will get 5 stars as soon as online multiplayer is implemented.

Nolan Liang

Fantastic Game I've been waiting for this modern classic to make its way to Android for months now. So far so good. + I like that it has adjustable AI. + The graphics aren't anything special, but they're functional. + User interface works just fine, though I think some of the "proceed" and "cancel" squares could be a little more pronounced. + They make great use of the phone vs the tablet layout and UI. Overall, this feels very polished, and once cross-platform multi-player gets put in, this will be an even stronger app. As it is now, I'm quite content with the AI and pass-and-play options.

Erik Welch

Like Chess. Simple rules, super complex strategy Great game. I've played a bunch, using the hints, but I still don't fully grok the best moves to make. One day I'll beat the AI on easy mode...

Colin Jones

A pretty good version. Great to have this on my tab, will give 5 stars if you make it with widescreen support, would be nice to have a bigger board.

Philip Miller

I'm so glad this is finally on Android! This game came out on IOS at the end of 2011 and after waiting patiently for almost a year and a half, it is finally here on Android! A very fun implementation of the board game that is sure to keep you challenged for a long time. With a lot of strategy and very little luck, your goal is to build a civilization that will earn you the most victory points in the 4 spheres of civilization: Settlements, Temples, Farms and Markets. The kicker is that your final score is equal to your lowest score in the 4 spheres. So you have to try and balance out your kingdom to earn you points in each sphere. At the same time your opponents are looking for ways to disrupt or even control what you've worked so hard to build. Absolutely worth the $4.99 I paid for it on iPad and a steal at the current price of $0.99 cents!!

Steve Hibnick

Mass Improvement So many chits in the real game to pick up and rearrange... I digital format is a vast improvement! AI isn't half bad either...

darrell dolliver

Good implementation mediocre game Not a bad app. The game can be a bit dry though. And the AI isn't a strong player.

Charlie Reams

Well worth the money Very smooth and attractive recreation of the legendary board game. Works well even on small screens, which is impressive! Just needs some performance/stability tweaks and AI improvements, which I hope later versions will address.

Scott Means

Easy to Learn, A Challenge to Master Civilization spreads like a human plague feeding on others of its kind when Leaders meet. Checkers level to learn the mechanics but Chess level to master the strategy of building an empire, crushing all who oppose you.

Francis Meetze

Great intro to this classic Encouraged me to purchase a physical copy. Looking forward to multi extended to Android. When app crashes, solo picks up where it left off. Smart.

Andrei Lupsa

Good game? May be. I just do not want to play it with these black bars. Looks like really bad port.

Scott Todd

Great game mechanics I used this to learn to play the board game better. It made learning the rules easy and is a well done board game done on android.

Alexey Tsarev

Interesting Do you need a help in translation? Very interesting game but novice firstly have to understand the rules. So it could be better on native language.

Кирилл Солоненко

Awesome Awesome game, perhaps you could make more filed layouts for better replay value

George Pletz

Solid implementation of classic euro board game Nothing too fancy but does the job of bringing the rich deep strategy of this knizia classic to my Nexus 10.

Brett Burleigh II

Great, but game breaking glitch Excellent implementation of the classic board game, but is lacking in support. Temple building on the 4x river location causes a corrupted file. AI can build there, player cannot. Ziggurat expansion, alternate board, monuments, etc would be excellent additions. Note II

Éole Wind

Cheap adaptation Of course this remains one of the most awesome board game mechanisms. But the UI is often confusing. The AI is very simple, not providing much surprises (I. E. In conflicts). The game is lost if you close the application. Would be nice to restore it. There is no multi-player which could be cool.

Antonio Díaz

Jon Edwards

A classic game but a disappointing app. 1) playing against human opponents relies on rotating the screen... But the screen auto rotates even when you have screen lock meaning you have to play upside down! 2) the game has no "hand to your opponent" screen for hiding your/their tiles from you/them AND THAT IS A BIG DEAL IN A CLOSED HAND GAME! 3) interface is cluttered and visually rather old fashioned . 5) too many messages need switching off. I dont need all those messages, save them for the tutorial. 4) all in all rather a clumsy app which, though perfectly playable solo, feels rushed and in need of refinement. Great game, poor interpretation.

Paulo Salvador

Constantantly requiring network The game is good. However, constantly requires an Internet connection to validate license and does not run without it. When in a plane that's really annoying. Fix it!

Mohammad Mourad

Fantastic Its a great game but after a while it becomes so easy and predictable.

Alec Kunkel

Fantastic for what it is Lacks play over Internet and could better highlight some things, but it's a fantastic interface with good AI. Would recommend. A steal at twice the price.

Chris Bye

Solid and deep game The implementation is pretty good: I've only had one stability issue. No online multiplayer yet, but that's not a crucial feature. The game itself is engaging, the interface doesn't get in my way, and the tutorial was pretty helpful, although it requires a play or two before the strategy really sinks in.

Ryan McLelland

Solid Version of a Great Game One star taken off for the direct port, but that's totally understandable given the nature of the app. It's well done, the AI does a pretty good job, and it runs great on the variety of devices I have tried it on. Hope more boardgames come to the android side of things like this. Very well done.

Patrick Baur

Great game I've never played the board game, but this app is very good. AI is strong, definitely will challenge you every game, especially with 3+ players. Every move (almost) has an undo option, which is very handy. Graphics are crisp and clear on my Droid.

Ben Kennedy

Disappointing Highly disappointing iPhone aspect ratio. Cheap port. Unnecessary use of invasive permissions. If the game updates to support proper screen sizes for Android then it might be worth checking out. Hopefully it'll update to add online multiplayer with the new Games service too.

Doug Carlson

Fun, a little buggy New to Euro games and really enjoying it. That being said, this kind of burns batteries, had frozen on me a few times, and has some other minor user interface issues. Not a deal breaker, but I wish it was a little more polished.

Bill Gilroy

Nice design but no advanced game Nicely designed - no annoying features found in game play. Would be nice to have the advanced rules, but I appreciate the AI would be hard to program. AI is easy to beat as it is. Still forces me to think though.

Ed Clem

Fantastic board game! I have never played this game before but the tutorial game and in-game rules have made it easy to learn. What a great game! This developer makes other board games on iOS and they all look great. I hope this is a sign of more to come!

Guillermo Tarazona

Good Port, More Like this one... At least Android start to receive more modern boardgames. One problem is that in my phone, Ihave 135MB free storage space, but I cannot install the app it tells me insuficient storage space...any solutions?

Ron Wagner

Great game. Not sure there's much of a difference between the levels of AI difficulty, but otherwise love the game. Only negative about the game is that the beginning is always the same, so it's pretty predictable. Difficult to win if you don't follow the pattern.

Scott Bartel

Tutorial crashes. Good implementation for the most part. It's been a while since I played the actual game, so I wanted to use the tutorial. Unfortunately, starting the tutorial causes the app to crash and won't recover without a manual FC or rebooting the device.

Gunther Herzog

It's my favorite board game, but... I'm highly disappointed that it's not possible to move this 51MB app from my phone's main memory to the SD card. Why exactly is this necessary for a game? Sorry, just not an option for me. Phone ram is too precious.

Andy Backhouse

Brilliant implementation of the board game. A game against the AI takes about 10-12 minutes to play which is ideal. (Just a shame it doesn't keep track of any statistics so I could tell if my game is improving.

Robert Bradley

Classic Knizia board game I like this game, a little hard to learn but has a nice tutorial. Now if only I did not get crushed every game. A.I. plays for keeps, as in keeps killing me.

Beth Kapustka

Challenge to Learn, but Definitely Worth It! I played back and forth between the tutorial game and a real game to figure out the strategy. Fantastic game design, each game is different and victory is never certain! Great fun to play!

Marc Maxson

Pretty good game play, converted eurogame. I can see how the board game version might involve a lot of tedious card counting, and some of the rules are complex to remember. Plays more like chess than most eurogames, but still has a little uncertainty with 3 or more players. I still can't beat the computer even on the lowest level.

Don Vo

Needs to phone home to work Game doesn't work unless you have WiFi or data. Great game but terrible idea for software.

Anthony Cashaw

Ads in a purchased app Great adaptation of the board game. Lacking the multiplayer functions of the iOS version. Occasionally puts ads up for the other games by the publisher in the way of the app I bought. What the eff!?!?

Karl Kindt

Awesome deep strategy Terrific implementation of one of the top ten board games of all time! AI is challenging. It started crashing every time on my Nexus 10, but reinstalling fixed it.

Joshua Hammack

AI feels cheap The AI feels cheap in game. They always have one more type of the tile than I do. The opponents team up against me even if I am clearly in last place. The implementation is good... But the AI issue is a problem for me. It may not cheat but feels like it is.

David Grant

Good, but... I can destroy the AI even on maximum level so it gets a bit boring after a while and I encountered a couple crashes today. Would love a better AI.

Jimmy Andreas

Great Tutorial is a big plus. Game flows smoothly, crash once but can still resume game. Bots are rather dumb, even on hardest difficulty. And please add online play

Tim Mensch

Decent implementation Fun game. Would prefer to be able to disable the "are you sure?" dialogs, which get annoying, as well as the help messages that seem to keep coming up. But otherwise a good game.

Sarah-Jane Plewright

Great Design I never tried the boardgame but I am very impressed by the design. I have played the heck out of it. The visual style is clear and enables the game to be played and enjoyed. What about implementing some of the alternative play modes?
