If you upload PV Solar Generation or Power Consumption data to pvoutput.org then this app is for you.

To get started, you will need your System ID and API Key from your Account Settings (http://pvoutput.org/account.jsp). Both are towards the bottom of your system settings on pvoutput.org.

Adding your initial system will also configure your Master API Detail. All calls to PVOutput.org are made using the Master API detail unless you override the API key on a per system basis.

Pull out the Navigation Drawer to go to your system. From there, swipe left and right, up and down to change views.

If you use Efergy, view your live statistics by subscribing and adding a Live Feed.

Edit your system settings via the Systems sub-menu. Set it as the default to go straight into the detail view for that system every time you launch the app.

If you don't have live Intraday data, edit your system and turn off the Intraday pages. Manually add your daily data directly from the app.

Access to pvoutput.org data is governed by the pvoutput.org API limits and restrictions. Making a donation to pvoutput.org will provide API bonus features that this Android app takes advantage of but it is not mandatory for basic app functions. See http://pvoutput.org/help.html#donations for further detail. Of particular interest are the following:
- Higher rate limits.
- The ability to retrieve detail and generation data for any system.

General features include:
- Search for and Add any system on pvoutput.org. View limited system detail (including map) prior to adding.
- System Detail shows location using Google Maps and lifetime statistics
- Intraday, Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly Generation and Consumption.
- Swipe left/right to move between days or keep swiping to move to Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly.
- Swipe up/down to toggle view modes between Generation and Consumption or other views such as High/Average/Low.
- Portrait shows Graph + List of data. Click on data heading to toggle display of Graph to view data list in full screen.
- Landscape shows full screen graph.

Home Screen Widgets:
- Pro Widget in-app subscription (7 day free trial) for additional 2x1 graph and 1x1 text home screen widget options.
- A single textual 2x1 home screen widget for Generation and Consumption data is enabled without having to subscribe.
- Click on the system name to re-enter the widget configuration screen.
- Optimise the width/height of the graphs for your screen.
- Place a 2x1, resize and then adjust the width/height via the widget configuration screen.

Drill Mode:
- Indicated by drill period in round brackets in page heading.
- When in drill mode, swipe left/right to move period. eg: move from month to month, year to year etc.
- Use the back button to exit Drill Mode.
- Access Drill Mode via list click or long press.

Great on the go, and keeps getting better!! Update 08/08/13: Now it compares your generation to previous periods, this is one of my favourite things to do and thus far have been using spreadsheets. Fantastic! Update 01/06/13: Loving the latest update and loving the app. Keep up the great work! Original review: Great app and now with the pro widgets and advert removal, even better! Also, I like the commitment the subscribe route shows to the app. I am very happy to pay and help support the developer and am looking forward to the next features!

Jorgen Rasmussen

Much better than what can be set up in spreadsheet etc. I use it a lot, plan to propagate it more here in the inland Northwest of the USA Pvoutput is genetic allowing users to compare between systems around the world. Consumption data can be recorded to get a true view of what impact your solar has. Mark is on the ball helping you if you any have quotations.

Wes Metcalf

Not the prettiest. Would love to see it get a face lift, but it is great at what it does.

Michael Charles

Works well Thanks for the app. Does what it says and reasonably quick

Philip Healey

Very good really Works well

James Healy

Does the job, but graphs are hard to read

Jeremy Roebuck

Very happy, great app

Jakob Bekhoei

Nice apps Becomming the best apps for monitoring you solar power production.

John Gwynne

Good sound little App Latest update a big improvement. Now sword between days easily and can return to today from anywhere in one move. Thanks. Monitors my PV system and seems to work well, it's quick and robust. Easy to view current and historic data, plus summaries by day, week, month and year. It would be better if the daily weekly and monthly charts were histograms rather than line graphs, as per the PV output displays. But these niggles are only minor. Nice work.

Nicholas Sloan

Great This app helped me so much. I can now check my solar panels output!!!!!!! :)

Gavin Nicholson

Great but slow for me This app is an awesome way to check the status of my solar system. The only thing I would like improved is it is very slow on my phone.

Alan Ogilvie

Essential app for Solar PV homes Thanks Mark for the latest update. Back to 5 stars! :-)

Worthless! A how to would be nice! Why must I fill in my api key over and over again? How do I connect with my inverter?

Stephen Muller

Great App I have PVOutput installed on my phone and tablet and use it all the time to check my generation and consumption - plus use it to monitor friends and family systems too. Helps my PV OCD.

Ryan Webb

Great app!! Works well Displays my pvoutput straight in a widget. Handy.

Bruno Fabre

Great Has everything I need to check my system from a mobile device.

Dorian Thomas

Does what I want it to Excellent app that keeps me updated on my pv status when I'm away from the house. Tried many before but think this is the best available.

Norman Dilley

Awesome I have been waiting for an app like this. Add some widgets and maybe a pricing section to see how much money it is generating and I will make a donation for sure. Thanks heaps.

The App I would have created if I could code! If you have a solar PV system, a PV Output account, are running automatic updates (optional) and have an Android phone, this is a great app for monitoring your system's performance remotely. One of my favourite and most used apps.

A Google User

Great App & Great Support Very good that does the job well. Excellent support especially considering its a free app. Would recommend if you have pvoutput account.

A Google User

Superb! Must have if you generate the electricity. Does what it says and works perfectly on HTC desire. Today button, auto refresh option and Net power and energy would be welcome.

A Google User

Great app Even better with update to show production and consumption on same graph - thanks dev.

John Gwynne

Good sound little App, spoilt by updates. After making big improvements to the app, it has now been ruined by the latest updates, making it deadly slow and effectively useless. It takes ages to pull down today's data and won't draw a graph before my phone goes to sleep. Shame.

A Google User

Cool Love it great app for keepin up with my system

Brian Edwardson

An app with Solar flare Great little app. Does what it claims to do and is easy to use and set up.

Peter Hallgarten

Excellent application for entering and viewing solar data on pvoutput

Tim Klaassens

Great App that gives you a quick overview on how your PV-set is performing.

Tom De Wilde

It was a great app. But since the last update, data loading so slow and column data is not always aligned correctly. I would prefer to re-install the previous version which was a 5 star app.

Henk Kok

September update broke this app update: been in contact with dev (who is excellent btw) about issues I'm having. Unfortunately issues since September update remain: data update takes 10-15 min and several tries, columns do not line up (seem shifted), previous data always must be re-fetched (again, very slow). And quite frankly, I find the dashboard implementation quite cumbersome.

Michael O'Loughlin

Pretty unhappy since last update. Dashboard inconsistently displays graph size. It now requires multiple clicks to get to see the table data I want. As of the last update, the data loads quite slowly. Developer unresponsive.

David Klaverstyn

Gives the required information Works well. Provides the information that you need.

Debbie Kubala

Because my husband had it first, it never even worked for me. Can't 2 people in the one house use it?

Trent A

Super app and widget

John Winters

Useful. A tip on how to get rid of the adverts, because the instructions aren't clear. You need to be a PVOutput financial supporter, and a member of the "Android App" team. The instructions just say you need to be a member of a team, without specifying which one and it took me a while to work out what they meant to say. Also, the instructions refer to a menu hierarchy with things like "Menu -> System -> Detail" which doesn't seem to exist in either the web interface or the app. Not sure what it's trying to say.

Eric Johnson

Used to be great Not sure what happened but this thing is now sooooooooo slow it's just about worthless. Really wait 2 min just to load 1 graph? It used to be almost instant. Sorry to say but barely worth using like this. Hope you can fix whatever the issue is. Maybe need to find an old version I have backed up somewhere...
