Pocket Planets is the most comprehensive 3D Solar System Simulator in the Google Play Store.
With accurate scale representation of the Sun, Planets, Moons, Asteroids, Dwarfs and detailed information to the celestial objects.
Use it as educational software for your kids, or regardless if you are a beginner or advanced astronomer, this App brings you closer to the planets than any telescope.
Working great on smartphones and tablets.

Discover...
★ the Sun, the bright shining star in the center of our Solar System
Mercury, the fastest planet orbiting around our Sun
Venus, its greenhouse effect produces a surface temperature that would melt lead
Earth, the blue oasis and only place filled with life
Mars, inspiration for many SciFi films and books
Jupiter, the giant, guardian and protector in our neighborhood
Saturn, with rings of unique beauty and elegance
Uranus, which rolls over its orbit like a bowling ball
Neptune, the outermost recognized planet
Pluto, one of a new category of dwarf planets

But these are not all objects of this simulator, because so far you do not know Orcus, Varuna, Ceres, Pallas, Haumea and all the other asteroids and dwarf planets. Not to mention Sedna whose orbit is still speculative to science.

Nearly 200 objects are included, but not as static images, rather as living objects in a living universe. Enjoy the Solar System in realtime, in the future or past.

Bring the cosmos to life with an innovative timeslider. Let time take its course, how fast depends on the scale factor of the timeslider. A wipe with your finger and the simulator comes to life.

For a more exiting viewing experience various camera modes are available. Attach the camera to a planet or place it at a fixed location in space and let the celestial bodies pass by, in portrait or landscape mode, whatever you prefer.

And that's still not all. A built in encyclopedia gives you useful information about each object of the simulation, extracted from Wikipedia.

Don't miss this unique viewing experience, there is no easier way to explore the wonderful world beyond our planet.
And if you ever feel "Lost in Space", don't worry, because it's just a simulation.

Features:
★ Super smooth UI
★ Nearly 200 simulation objects
★ Simulation of real celestial body distances and dimensions
★ Adjustable simulator time with an innovative timeslider
★ Flexible camera system for a unique viewing experience
★ Portrait and landscape mode
★ Many HD textures, some of original recordings (NASA Voyager, Cassini spacecraft)
★ Many preference options
★ Ephemeris data based on NASA Horizons system
★ Orbit calculations with modified Kepler algorithms
★ Encyclopedia function, the most important information from Wikipedia

Please try Pocket Planets Lite before buying this full version to ensure device compatibility.

If you have any problems please don't hesitate to contact me via email because this is the only way I can help you, thank you.

Brilliant! Really good astronomy app. Loads of information on planets, moons etc, etc. Good graphics, love what happens when zooming in too far. Totally recommend this and it works perfectly on my phone. Thank you dev!!

Andy Harris

Beautiful app ☺ Beautiful fluid graphics which are pleasing to the eye. Smooth and accurate operation. Loads of great information on objects. Love it. ?

Maria Johnson

Sgs5 It's awesome. I like the idea that you can hit the planet.

Glenn Shoemake

Well done for the amateur astronomer Extremely smooth and fluid movements of the planets and their moons makes this a wonderful app to gain amateur information on the solar system.

Condor 78

Galaxy note 4 Very nice and accurate which is important.

Dmitriy Galkin

Almost Hubble. May be because I learned astronomy...

Clayton Edge

Great detail Great for kids with interests in planets!

Mollie G

Fantastic App! This is one of the best astronomy/planetary science apps out there. Highly recommend!!

Niel H

Mindblowingly Awesome Really impressive app! Can't wait till I have kids old enough to be able to teach them astronomy with a tool like this.

Jason Clark

Awesome

Brian Parkinson

Beautiful App If you are just wanting to have a look around our solar system, then this is the app for you. The quality of the graphics are amazing. It works perfectly on my Asus Nexus 7. The amount of detail is incredible, right down to the tiny moons of Jupiter. Amazing. It does exactly what it says on the tin! And more. You won't be disappointed.

One Suggestion Best app! If you dont mind i only have one suggestion, IT WOULD BE THE MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE IF YOU WOULD ADD IN A SORT OF "SWIM MODE" TO THE CAMERA OPTIONS similar to the lazzy camera mode were the view just drifts away but having the option to SWIM OUR WAY FROM PLANET TO PLANET, TAKING A SPACE WALK SO TO SAY WITH CONTROL OVER THE SPEED AND DIRECTION OF WERE EVER IT IS YOU WANT TO EXPLORE. WITHOUT HAVING TO QUICKLY RUSH OUR WAY, BUT HAVING THAT SWIM BY ACTION WOULD BE BREATH TAKING! HOPE YOU CONCIDER IT

Abelardo Zavaleta

Good app Good solar system app . Needs more information on planets. Isn't nothing like redshift or solar walk for iOS. Great but gets boring very easily due to lack of features. I'm a person very interested in space and I give it 2 stars because it just doesn't have a lot to offer.

Mark Sabaria

Amazing Love it, runs very smooth, great visuals. Well made app.

Geoff Hilton

Satisfyingly good Professionally made app that looks superb, instant response from developer Bruno, you get the feeling this app will just get even better over time.

Clyfford Hazell

Interstellar travel in your pocket This is the next best thing to interstellar travel. Graphics and features are fabulous, great job!

L Schmidt

Room for improvement Could be better if vertical rotation had not this artificial restriction which it currently does. I suppose it allows taking algorithmical shortcuts, but in space, there is supposedly freedom of rotation along all spatial axes, and blurring of top/bottom concepts. Interface is smooth, frame rates high, images are nice but could be of higher resolution. Space backdrop is decoration only - shows LMC and SMC above northern earth hemisphere.

Jiri Fejtl

Great work sooo use full Just what your tym can do more like if comin comet we can trakin real time.or see speed travle every planet tru the space how fast rotary spin earth.because for the me is important for wheather on planeth earth. and many more that by nice.this app i lovit thankx

Redman Ardgeeza

Very smart and smooth After discovering lite version, bought full one first chance I could. Well done ! There are a few tiny wobbles at some extreme magnifications, but thats not what its about. Beautiful learning tool and amazing perspective device for those seeking deeper insights to our system. Thanks big. I can look up and know where and what I am in the bigger picture. Worthy app

Neko A

WOW !!! Overall this is an amazing application -- informative, has very beautiful graphic and so many things to see. Although, it would be nicer if we could compare the size of objects side by side, and maybe if we could actually see the shadow of one object on another (i.e. during eclipse). I also hope that the developer would expand the encyclopedia with more general details of solar system, definitions, and exploration missions.

Steve Andrukaitis

Sweet app Very well done, one thing, I'd love to see more detailed information, but still a great app.

Esmée Graver

Best astronomy app This is imo by far the best astronomy app out there. I thought the free version was great, so great in fact that I was willing to pay for the app because of the effort that was (clearly) put into it! If you buy the full version you get extra features including interesting facts on the solar objects (nearly 200 objects!).

Larry Carlson

Really nice app Smooth, crisp, responsive and beautifully done. A must have application for everyone.

Kim Desjardins

I wanted something like this for some time now! Now that I have it I am very pleased with this app. It contains everything and more info than I could imagine. Thank you...smooth, sophisticated and simple to use. I give the pocket 5 stars because the options are numerous and the camera is just out of this world.

Gary Slegg

Not sure what it's supposed to do I can't find a menu on it, so can't go directly to the object I want to find....Having emailed the developer I have realised the problem was with me not understanding the symbols on the Nexus 7; the programme does have a menu and is full of really useful information, an excellent programme.

Kendall Krueger

Sweet A whole new way to explore/view the solar system! The more I use it the more I am impressed with it. Brilliant programmer.

Edward Wright

Noone This spectacular. I really do not need to say more.

Edward Thomas

Stunning Great job. Very educational and enjoyable to use. I'm sure it will even get better over time.

Rick Dwyer

Pocket Planet ? notch graphics! Smooth tour of the solar system. Developer rarely updates his work. I believe it to be important for a paid application. What gives Mr. designer?

Beclipse Delune

Great After installing the free version i decided to buy it as a thank you for creating this beautiful app. Thanks

Andre Le Roux

Great! A neat tool for checking positions of planets at any time. Also, a great visual tool for explaining how the planets revolve around the sun.

DARTH VAP3R

Great Wish i had this back in the day.... Like before smart phones...

Brandon Staley

This is the best solar system app! I didnt know about the groups of specific moons.

laurent voituron

Absolutely gorgeous. I love that app. I installed it few month ago on my mobile. Now I just bought a tablet. It's even more beautiful bigger. My only problem is the extremely sensitive screen that make the planets flight through the screen, but I'm learning to control it. Great job, thank you very much

joe sparks

This is hands down one of the top apps to own in the market. Fantastic! Evo 3d

gyaeger123

Great to learn the astronomy of the solar system and have fun doing it.

Victor Cruz

Not bad Its good and fun and all that, but why dont you add comets? At least Ison, i forgot what app mentioned it had it? I thought it was this one, but no; really thou you should add it

Steven Ross

Pretty awesome My son and I have been stargazing and this app is great.

Mark Landis

Awesome Very good. Educational.

Ahmed Safwat

Excellent app I love this app so much, hope more updates info. and need to full resolution view when full zoom in any planet and view street mode like Google map . Thanks for this app.

SethRC TwoTwoFive

This is the best app I've seen...but I think you should re-texture Pluto and Charon, now that we now what they really looks like! Anyways this an a amazing app! p.s you should add more dwarf planets like Quaour ect... But anyways amazing app!

James B Hansford

A Masterpiece! I have seen quite a few various types of astronomy and planetarium apps and none of them come anywhere close to the visually breathtaking and absolutely realistic representation of our solar system as presented in this app! The close up views of the planets are mesmerizing! This app deserves 10 stars and many awards! My compliments to Bruno and all who may have been involved in its creation!

Larry Stewart

Superb and powerful! I have used a great many Astronomy apps on various devices and some were quite fantastic, but this one takes the prize for its class! Incredibly powerful in the scope of the objects presented and in the range of features and conformability, it does it all with the most beautiful graphics I have ever seen for phones and tablets. For exploring the solar system this is the one to have!

Sam Sroka

On my Homescreen I love this app so much it has a coveted place on my droid homescreen, first screen, next to gmail and google chrome

Chris Riches

Not good Lovely view of Earth when i open the app, but can't do anything else.

Charles Kariuki

Great app for armchair astronauts Great app with some of the best animation and detail. I hope the developer considers an update especially for Pluto

Brian Parker

WOW!!! Simply AWESOME!

gihan asela

need to update

laurent voituron

Something went wrong. I discovered that app a while ago. I loved it and payed for the full version. Everytime I got a new device, I installed it straight away. But recently I bought a Samsung tablet, there is no control no access to options. In short IT HAD BECOME USELESS. Please fix it.

feckot67

Never would have believed Never would have believed that when i grew up i would have the whole solar system in! My pocket!! Truly a wonderful and amazing app

Ali Haider

Absolutely awesome This app is awesome

Andrea Howard

Complicated! Not for someone with only a basic knowledge....not enough guidance! Great for potential nerds!

NM Wordsworth

No forward compatibility Worked brilliantly on Galaxy S4; but when I upgraded to S7 Edge, this app lost all functionality. As the previous reviewer says, the controls are missing (apart from the time slider). Nothing can be selected -- therefore the only planet which can be viewed is Earth itself!

Andy Harris

Beautiful app ☺ Beautiful fluid graphics which are pleasing to the eye. Smooth and accurate operation. Loads of great information on objects. Love it. ?

David Y

Worth a million words! Graphics and manipulation are excellent. Please increase the amount of information for the different structures and keep adding and updating structures. I didn't know about Sedna till this!

Sam Borsman

Not bad... Graphically the app is great, but it lacks a lot of features to make it interesting. The Wikipedia info supplied on the planets is way too minimal. There are no labels for features on Mars or the moon. There is no satellite information. Take a look at Solar Walk on ios to see how this could be done.

Sherri Dalton

Beautifully done I've been using the free version of this app for about a year, and I just purchased the paid version and it's worth every penny and more. I love this app. Thanks to the developer for making this happen. :-)

Alister Hillman

An educational & awe inspiring app. Excellent in its free version but also well worth buying to get surface detail for the smaller objects.
