PIDcalc is a utility to calculate Proportional, Integral and Derivative (PID) tuning values for a process control loop. Enter process data from your bump test and PIDcalc will give you P, PI, or PID values for most controller types. Select your algorithm from Ziegler-Nichols, Internal Model Control (IMC), Lambda, Allowable Level Variation for surge tanks, etc.

Whats new

    Version 1.05 tries to address a crash report concerning the Settings screen. I have not been able to reproduce the problem yet, but I made changes that may help.
    Version 1.04 addresses scaling issues on tablets and newer phones with large high density screens. Also adds Lambda as selection for regulating loops.

Poor design and layout Running it on Nexus 7 it looks horrible. You can't select lambda tuning for self regulating loops which is where lambda tuning is best suited not on integrating loops which is the only place you can select lambda in this software. Update. Changed my rating because they actually listened to feedback. New version looks and functions perfectly on my nexus. Thank you for actually listening.

Great app - suggestions The app appears to be just what I am looking for. I would like to see a Drop-Down menu that pre-loads variables based on processor type. Also, on my tab the right side of the help screen is cut off. It will not rotate, so I have to guess what is on the far right. Overall it is a great app. Thanks,

Awesome I've actually used it at a couple of sites to tune integrating and self regulating loops - I no longer have to calculate the tuning parameters, it does it for me. I love it, thank you.
