Apk file size: 339.0 KB

An artificial life simulation based on JBox2D utilizing simple genetic algorithms. The simulation generates "plants" and "animals". Animals have genes that describe their size, color, and movement patterns. As animals move through the simulation space, they consume energy based on size. When they collide with plants some of the plant energy is transfered to the animal (eating). When an animal gains enough energy it can reproduce.

This program is intended for learning and experimentation. The source code is available at https://github.com/kgilmer/PiccadillyLife under the Apache software license.

Would like more features I've been hunting all over the place for a-life apps that include evolution, life cycle, and so on. Your app is the closest I've found to what I'm looking for. Any chance you'll continue to develop this?

Interesting... ...but doesn't work on phone at all. :/ Motorola Droid II

Fluffy Lansing

Lol Lol I broke the game it later out and froze hehe love it

Cameron Sholly

Can't use I've messaged you before about this not working on 4g slides. Don't feel like you care, am uninstalling.

Quentin Christensen

Interesting Would be great if you could interact with it. Also labels are tiny.

Connor Rose

Terrible No point in the game. They don't give you a clue to what is going on, and it crashed within a few seconds of playing whatever it is.

Christopher Horton

A bit boring Needs to be more interactive.

Todd Turner

A mutation ... That failed to provide any advantage.

Chris FreeThinker

Nice for screen saver but it puts me to sleep

Janine Timiney

A black box There's no way to examine the attributes/genetics for the creatures, which is fairly important for an alife program so we can understand behaviour. This may as well be just coloured circles randomly moving across the screen.

John Ramirezanao

Sigh Does not work at all.

Akos Jager

No info No information what is going on, no interaction, limited space.

Everything went insane when i put my finger on it froze

Loren Peter Martens

Spectators Only A great idea for alife people, BUT there is nothing that the user can do, except watch. Yes, you are able to move individual creatures, but that is all! Unfortunately this is a useless app.

Michael Palmer

Try to not make more games with so much death in and make it so every thing isn't doomed to die
