DO NOT GET THIS GAME! The game itself has a good cause. To raise awareness about what's going on in the electronic business. But how did they get the message out? Electronically. The game is 1.00$ exact, and it's the worst 1.00$ I've spent in a while. The game is short. You get about 5 minutes of explanation playing games you've probably played before. The only good part is the mode where you replay the games, but that even gets boring after a while. In my opinion I wouldn't get it if I had the choice to redo my last 10 minutes.
Brilliant idea Simple game with a message. Apple deleted this from their app store and it makes me curious why they would do that. Again its another reason I have switched to the Note3 because people here realize the enivormental impact and aren't afraid to show the consumer what the real deal is. Not to mention the money you send the dollar goes straight to charity. This is a brilliant game for children to introduce them to the sacrifice it takes to create that fancy mobile phone. A+++
Great This is a quick game with a great message. Download it and if you would like to donate and have something you can show others! It wont stop me from using my current phone because well... It is too late BUT I doubt I will every buy a new phone again. Great job!^^
Moderately good for raising awareness, sloppy game A bit of a disappointment. The game itself is really thin, with practically no gameplay and clumsy controls all over the place. The narrative contains very little information, nothing you couldn't find on Wikipedia after skimming one article. I'm glad it will raise some awareness about the issue, but as a game, this one scores quite low.
Awesome! Best $1 I have spent in a long long time! Great game for awareness. I'm going to share this with all my friends on iphone. This is what is happening (for all electronic gadgets) and we should be aware so that we can make a make the informed decision. Shame on you Apple for ban this game.
Absolutely worth the $1!!! Clever interface. The gameplay encompasses the trajectory of its message so well. People who are giving bad reviews likely missed the point or don't have a solid grasp on the issue the game addresses. My only complaint was that I'd have liked to be able to buy simply content as in game purchases to contribute more money. I had another dollar in Google Play that I could have given them.
on facebook, and in my eyes worth the price. im giving 90000 stars + likes because it got banned fm apple works on htc desireHD (gingerbread 2.3.4)
Good, in principle. Worth $1 to support their work and cause. Requires Adobe Air to run, and I don't want that on my phone, so I haven't played it.
Awesome game, sad story of your phone. Worth the buck for the donation alone. Short game makes it easy to show friends and spread the word.Android ftw.
Important gesture I teach about this game in the Visual Arts 40/ICAM 40 course (Intro to computing in the arts) at UCSD as part of my computer gaming in the arts lecture.
Priceless, tireless, Dramatic, timely, I love it Speaks wonders about the current situation and real state of the world. Funny, literate, and truthful. Quickly becoming a regular in my solicitation.
Horrible misinformation The gameplay sucks, the game guilt trips you, and the so called facts? Yeah, one star. I want my money back.
Purchased. But app is not downloading to my phone I've just purchased the app 10 minutes ago. I clicked [install] but the app is not downloading to my phone (which is online). Any ideas what could be wrong?
Ha Anyone that reads the news already knows all these things but its funny for all those Apple fans that thought that the company was a deity.
It's amusing, and in my eyes worth the price. I'd prefere it to be able to turn off the sound, though. Foolish of Apple to ban this, causing attention
Worth a dollar for sure. I am giving this 5 stars simply for the fact that it was banned from the apple app store. Props to that, and the cause
A fun way to donate to charity Enjoyable game with a good message, very short but as a way to make a donation it's excellent.
Interesting App, and goes to a good cause. It wasn't a very long "game". It wasn't all that hard. But it was informative, and while it won't make me not want the next greatest thing to come out of phoneland, it didn't raise important issues that need to be addressed in the very near future. We can't keep making devices at this pace without having serious ramifications on human life as well as the environment. This is our generations oil boom, and it needs to be cleaned up before it gets to the state that oil is in right now. Good purchase.
Makes its point well, but a bit short Pity it requies Adobe Air, I don't have enough space on my phone to keep that installed.
Appreciate what you hold in your hands now I guess we all have to face the truth sooner or later, I just didn't realise the truth was going to be as harsh as this.
Nice! Bought it for one simple reason: that Apple users can't! ;) First app I've ever bought.
Takes up too much space The app is 5mb and requires Adobe Air at 15mb. Neither of which can be moved to my sd card. Phone no longer working. Removed w/out even playing
Adobe AIR I know you guys wanna be all socially conscious and whatever but must you subject more android users to adobe AIR to do it?
Great point Not that great of a game but makes its point in a unique way by being a game
For a good cause Bought it for a good cause. Also, it's good to see that google doesn't handle their store like some police state...
Buyer Beware I'm not going to demand my money back... it's just a buck and the proceeds go to good causes. But it force-closed on my droid incredible (CM 7.1, AOSP 2.3.4), after installing the latest adobe air. I do appreciate the point they're making. +1 for that.
Top message! Love these style of games. 5 stars when SD support added. HTC desire
Like the message Good to see more apps challenging the status quo - first level isnt quite clear to player though.
great app, great truth paolo is one of the few great game artists working today. get this app. we are all complicit
Great satire Thanks, causing suffering in Africa is not worth being able to play angry birds. I'll keep my phone until it breaks, and then I'll get a second hand one.
Why is this the 18th result when I search 'Phone Story'? Well today its the 23rd result. Bizarre. The voice quality is too low and too quiet. Still 5*
Love it. Makes a good point although it is common sense. I-thing... And involving foxconn.. Can't see why apple would ban it... Lol
Informative Made me reconsider buying a new phone all the time
Insightful as an educational tool. Boring as a game. Not worth a dollar.
Refreshing Someone had to do it. I think it's hilarious that apple pulled this app.
pfleck Somewhat informative, would have liked more research and information. Some controls felt a little sloppy. would be better as a free app.
Short but nicely made, and educational! What a stupid move to ban it!
Great concept, I'd have donated more.
Good cause but app needs a little work This app is for a really good cause but they need to work on the app a ltiile bit. Specifically they need an option to resume the game if you accidentally quit it
Great game This game raises awareness for your phone, while being fun to play. Guys, its better than an educational video
1/5 I could not play: it looked interesting but it asks me to install that adobe air crap and I don't want to. That's a pity. Asking for a refund.
Thanks for not censoring, Google! So we all know technology has a darker side: we gain while someone else is losing. The games are simple and well done. Apple banned this game and that's why I'll never own an Apple product again...
What's a phone worth? App requires adobe air. It took a while for my download to work, but it installed fine on my Droid1. I guess because it was just pushed to our market.
Awful Repetitive gameplay, too short, glitchy. Definitely not worth money, the devs would be better off releasing it for free with ads.
Brutal Truth Sucks that Apple had to ban this app, just gave it more attention. Thanks for educating those who didn't know!
Fantastic! Very well presented message. Game is fun. Took me awhile to figure out the relationship between the progress bar and the red goal line as too small
Ok This game is okay but after playing a few times it gets very boring. It has a good cause otherwise.
Apple banned this Apple banned this. But you can still avoid being an ignorant consumer by supporting this app here. Nuff' said...
Purchased, What to do with it next?? (edited) I think this is a market issue, Gave one star in error.
Nice way of sending a message Like the art, like the attitude. Would be great if you had in app donation payments.
Worth the $1 for charity Fun and educational game that iPhone users will never be able to play since Big Brother Apple banned it!
Very good Game and highly informative on the hard work and devotion of millions of people all over the world to create an iPhnone
Great concept but keeps shutting down Not a force close. Complete shutdown after about 30-45 seconds. HTC thunderbolt.
Great game, great concept Playing the harder setting on the game, you realise you can quit anytime but for the people depicted in this game, there is no quit for them.
Controversial First to review, :D lots of mini games, I can see why apple banned it on the iPhone. Reasonably entertaining though.
