NutriHawk is the hawk that keeps an eye out for your nutrient deficiencies.
It keeps tabs on vitamins and minerals. You input the healthy parts of your meal, and your vitamin and mineral uptake will be updated accordingly, with nice charts to review what foods contributed to what nutrients and how much of the nutrient you had in the past week. Also has a feature that advises what nutrient you're most in need of based on when's the last time you had it. Text on specific nutrient pages also tells you deficiency symptoms, rich sources, and benefits.
Most apps are designed around weight loss or muscle gain and so keep track of your calorie intake or the amount of proteins you've consumed. This one focuses on health, because deficiency in a vitamin or mineral is a common occurance, especially among people with less varied diets.
Since it's designed to be used as an estimate and not a strict counter like calorie and carb/protein/fat trackers are, your daily value will be considered to be met after 50% suggested daily value has been reached. Line chart plots past 7 days (of course, data is kept longer), and the "need more of" is also based on the nutrition with the least intake in the past week. All measurements are based on roughly 1 cup's worth. Doesn't include certain nutrients in which deficiency among humans is rare (because why would you need to track it then).
Only works on SDK >= 11.
Works on Tablet, but sorry for the odd graphic alignments, I'll work on a fix in the UI for tablets in future releases.
Portrait Orientation only
UI design by Beryl Wang. Sadly I wasn't able to implement all she had imagined, so to see her original designs for the app, visit www.berylwang.com.

Excellent app to track overall health So many apps are pushing the idea that calorie counting is the way to go to achieve a healthy diet. This app really takes into consideration ones vitamin intake...a true measure of a balanced diet. Great job!
Great idea! Great to see an app that focuses on something other than weight! Looking forward to see how this develops - a more detailed summary of where I'm lacking with suggested food groups would be neat.
Nice Little App Could be useful
Great App! Love the design and UI.
New user I think the app looks helpful. I need to track my vitamin intake. I have 3 suggestions for the app. 1 - once I shift the bar on a vitamin in the Manual Input mode, since the bar is so close to the left edge of the screen, it's difficult for me to shift it back to zero with my case on. My suggestion is to scoot the bar over a little bit to the right. 2 - add an option to type in the %DV in manual mode. 3- add in option to track daily intake in mg, g, iu in manual mode. Other than that keep up the good work!
Clicking the hawk should go to the home page. Calendar function that lets you add the foods that day and see the deficiency.
