App will not open The app keeps telling me it's experiencing difficulties handling the current process, regardless of the situation. I've rebooted, cleared cache, reinstalled and still no good. I'm using a Oneplus One with lollipop... I have moved from Vodafone expecting great things, which in terms of actual calls and service it's great, but the website and app are crap.

What crud I am an Optus customer. The app says "we are having difficulty identifying you." Yeah. I am a cable customer. Your support site sent me to the download you morons. So have an option for non mobile customers. And while you are at it, fix my internet which has been broken for 5 days.

App was working well...initially App reflected limits & usage perfectly. It now doesn't reflect my plan or offer representative reflection ie. Wrong amount of data available displayed, says 3 days left but the line is all the way to the right instead of the left. It just doesn't work properly. Done the uninstall, shut down, reinstall to no avail. I'm over it.After letting credit expire, turning mobile off, buying credit online, turning mobile on again it now reads accurately Coincidence? Crashes my music player! UsIng Samsung Note 2 on Optus 4G plan I check my data usage whilst listening to music through built in mp3 player - but when I use this app it crashes my music every time. Have called Optus tech support and they day it's the music player.Rubbish Optus. Please fix this app. There is no reason why background music can't be played while checking data usage.

APP STILL DOESN'T WORK after 1yr 2mths since last review! Since my review on 12-Feb-2014, I've reinstalled this app but once again, am highly disappointed with Optus. This mobile app is still useless and a waste of space as it still DOES NOT WORK on my Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE! After opening, it presents a WELCOME message: "The My Optus app is experiencing difficulties handling the current process. We apologise for the inconvenience. Please try again later." then closes itself. WHAT A JOKE! I am also sick of calling & getting transferred to overseas call centres!

rubbish app not as good as telstra Bill payment option does not remember card details. You have to type in numbers every time. Once done the app does not register the bill paid. I have paid bills twice because app didn't acknowledge successful payment

Excellent app but PLEASE remove the startup animation Awesome app, gives all the details I need for my account, live chat, can check how my data usage is going etc etc. But please remove the startup animation! Because it has some audio in it, it always pauses any music that I may have playing. Just a spinning icon with no sound would be perfect!

Optus Please FIX!!! Issue still remains and for many people from what I'm reading!!! Not happy that I updated this app to version 3.46 as now I can not see my current usage. I get a error message saying 'Can not refresh due to system issues'. I've reinstalled the app without any luck. Live Chat assistant said there was no known issues with the update... We'll there certainly is with my Note 2 Android 4.4.2!! All other features appear to work apart from the current usage screen. Please fix!

Data usage If you have two phones on one account different numbers the first being 1.5 g the other 3gs it will not give you the single data usage for each phone but a shared data 'of 4.5 gs so you cannot monitor the usage for each phone now even though you did'nt request data sharing , it used to give you your data usage for each phone this was good ; so why have you changed it ? Just to annoy people this is not a improvement by you but a very annoying one do the right thing by your costomers Fix It showing no minutes

Not the happiest with the app. Never refreshes properly Having alot of problems with the app. It doesn't refresh well, like it'll be 8 or 9 days behind and won't work again until I uninstall and reinstall the app again, I also can never get anyone with live chat and end up having to call so I feel the app is pretty pointless.

Doesn't work at all! update was required, and now it just loads a blank black screen. Uninstalling and reinstalling do not solve the problem. Prior to the update, the app was never very impressive, but I could work around its shortcomings. Now there is nothing I can do!

Rubbish I wish I could put 0 stars.. App is rubbish and won't refresh due to system issues. I uninstalled it and my whole phone crashed. I had to take my phone into an Optus dealer and start over. App hasn't worked since. Once again.... rubbish!

Not usable I have an optus 4g stick, and want to use this app to monitor it's usage from my phone (with a different carrier). The app tells me that it doesn't detect my optus service instead of allowing me to put in my service details.

Absolute rubbish Never accurate, and not refeshed often enough. I got a text informing me of my data usage which was 4.5Gig the MyOptus app told me i had used less than 4. It confuses me how there can be such a discrepency. Intentional? Optus please let me know.

This app is useless and has cost me $$$ Two months consecutively I've gone over my data allowance because this app won't update for at least half a day and anywhere up to 3 days, the same with sms alerts, and the data usage has been reported to be anywhere up to 750 mb more in the app compared to what my phones inbuilt data usage meter says...all in the same two months.....I can't trust you lot anymore, next time this happens I'm contacting the teleco ombudsman to sort it out...Vodafone weren't even this bad 3 years ago

Love it Optus just generally has better customer service than Telstra. Sometimes you have to walk outside of a building to receive a call, but that's something I'm willing to lose when I pay $60 a month for 15gb of data and unlimited calls/texts (prepaid daily plus) the app is great as well ;)

Not opening I am a new Optus Customer for my home broadband. I would like to chat to someone to find out if I need to buy a modem or if it is supplied. Chat won't open on my phone unless I use this app. I can't log into the app because my mobile phone is with Vodaphone. It has a warnibg message saying I am with a different network and closes. It won't give me an option to login using my account details.

Give us up to date credit information! A useful app for paying bills however the lack of up to date data info costs me every month. It says I have plenty of data left then I get charged an extra $10 for going over my limit. Realised that refreshing doesn't actually give you up to date info.

Useless app does not work at any given time on any given day. I believe it is a complete scam so the user has no way of knowing how many minutes or data they have left. A complete and utter "RIP OFF"!!!

Unpolished Optus has done a fairly decent job of building the app, but it lacks polish. Its disjointed as it uses graphics from older versions of Andriod. Optus has a nice colour scheme that would work well with a full material design overhaul not small amounts here and there. The widget could also do with some work as it appears to be of a low resolution, and lacks the ability to show the most recent refresh of information.

Please take away the ridiculously long and unnecessary "loading" animation. It's a nuisance and a waste of time when you just need to quickly check your balance. Also, rename it to just "Optus". So many apps have unnecessary first words their title. It diminished their branding, and messes up the apps position in the app drawer. For instance a user goes to "O" for Optus and then has to ask themselves "what was the stupid extra word that they put in front of the app name? Oh, thats rights its "MY Optus" ".

Data widget?! Where did it go? I used to be able to see how much data I have used in the my optus widget but now its gone. Instead they replace it with some useless feature. And whenever im refreshing to check how much data and credit i have left. Why does it keep saying "error cannot be refreshed try again later"? Its useless. It used to be good but now its just useless. The only thing this is good for is recharging your phone with vouchers quickly. But other than that its bad. Really bad. Please fix this optus.

Real time update of usage please It's useful for paying your bill, but the 24 hour delay on seeing your data usage sucks. In this fast paced world, surely it could be in real time. If I'm 24 hours late with my bill, Optus will tell me. (In real time) I think they can make it real-time, but they don't. When they fix this it will be worth while. At the moment I feel like something dodgy is going on with Optus. I used to have a pre paid Optus 1 gig a month which never ran out, now on post paid plan 3 gig and I ran out 2 weeks in. Sucks.

Worked great but now buggy Used to be great, data use was quite accurate and it was very simple to use. But now it quite often won't reload for hours which is obviously very frustrating. Hopefully it goes back to how it was earlier.

Very happy My wife & Myself have been with optus for over 18yrs, we are on the $2 Daily Plus Prepaid Plan, we both think it is the best plan ever, We love the unlimited texts & Calls as well as the 500mb data each day. The only thing we wish optus still had was the rewards they had years ago. Me and my wife are very very happy customers. Loyal long customers should also get free credit if been with optus for a certain amount of time as a thank you :-) I would give 100/100 if I could. :-)

First received a system error message and when I tried again there was also a message saying I had no more credit and needed to recharge. the app during the day works well and does what its supposed to do. But after say 5 o'clock the app doesn't seem to be updating, specially after heavy data usage. the app refuses to refresh leaving me hanging with half downloads because i cant buy 500 mb for an extra $2. so please fix this issue and I'm sure the rating will go up after that :)

Ran out of credit You cannot recharge when you have no credit. Try and use wifi and it says you have to use mobile data. Fails because you have no credit. Useless crappy app. Used to work well untill someone screwed with it


Doesn't Work It's a really helpful app but it just never works. When I want to recharge or check my balance it always says there was an error. When I tried to add another 500mb it says I was unsuccessful but somehow it wasn't. They need to fix this app asap

Works on my son's alcaltel phone but my my daughters alcaltel tabs. Got all three devices direct from optus. Now the my optus app works on the phone but not on the tabs. Lift your game guys. Not happy.

Good for what it needs to do Great improvement in recent updates. Shows usage fairly well with the occasional hitch but other then that does what it needs to do well. But might I suggest in case of ease of use, consolidating what a bunch of the other apps do into this one?

My optus app Downloaded it to enter the Samsung competition but no where to enter as per instructions. After 3 days trying to get in touch via the apps Web chat optus tell me to uninstall it and reinstall the updated version which is the exact version I installed 3 days earlier and it still didn't have the link to enter the competition. Am going to uninstall it for good and not bother. Total waste of time!

For those who struggle to open the app If your app crashes after the latest update (3rd of May) please uninstall the app first, reboot your phone and reinstall the app. Good luck! Other than that the app is not too bad offering a couple of new useful options eg 'Data insights'.

Poor customer service This app is broken. It no longer checks my account balance. Shows an error instead. The solution from Optus? Uninstall and reinstall the app. That is a crappy workaround but even that can't always be done. Last time it said I had no credit so I couldn't use my phone for any communication or data. Could not contact support as the app saw no credit. When support told me the reinstall method the credit reappeared and I could make calls again. Very poor service Optus. Your customers deserve better.

Pathetic This app has become worse and worse. When it works, it's fine. Does pretty much what you need it to. I've been on Optus and using this app for about 18 months and periodically the app just completely stops working (citing network issues) and cannot be made to work again. The only way I've ever been able to get it going again is by reinstalling the app. Now even that does not work anymore. The app just simply does not work at all, completely useless. Time to change to a real provider. Optus is a disgrace.

Absolute Rubbish!!! Always comes up with "cannot refresh due to system errors"... found the only way to fix is to delete app and redownload. Then works for a while and then does the same thing. Then today the app showed the message "all credit used up please recharge", even though this is completely false. Deleted app again, redownloaded and now I can't even set it up as the authentication code optus sends "cannot be verified". Requested and tried five different codes and still "cannot be verified". DELETING FOR GOOD NOW!!!!!!

App does not work properly when calling optus. I was having problems with selecting options on the optus interactive voice response after calling from within the ny optus app. Optus live chat advised me to uninstall then reinstall from the play store. That solution appears to have worked.

Extremely poorly designed, chews up data in background The only useful feature on this app is the data usage meter, and that doesn't even work half the time. The other features are just bloat. I was also disgusted to find out that the app used 65mb of data in the background over the space of a 3 or 4 days. Being on a 512mb plan, 65mb to download nothing (as far as I can tell) when the app isn't even open is just ludicrous! Fix your app Optus, it's absolute trash at the moment.
