Download Metro UI Lite apk 1.1.5 free for Android smartphone
Apk file size: 87.0 KB
Rework (from the ground up) of the Metro UI project. This project is designed to be extremely lightweight. While giving a similar appearance to the "Metro" UI popularized by Windows Phone 7.
It will take a while to load the first time. Once it does you will need to pin apps to the home screen from the drawer.
- This will not support widgets (unnecessary bloat)
Feel free to contact me with bugs/issues. I will consider any feature requests. However, as I stated above, the primary goal of this project is to be lightweight, so any feature that cannot be obtained inside those requirements will not be implemented.
kw: Windows Mobile 7, Windows Phone 7, WM7, Metro UI, Live Tile
1.1.5: Drag and Drop performance enhancements
1.1.4: Removed the pin icon from the drawer. This was to improve scrolling performance and make the experience more like WP7. You can now pin/unpin via the context menu.
Removed the uninstall option for system apps

Figure out how to pin tiles first I have been looking for ages for the app drawer to pin apps and couldn't find it. Was just about to rate 1 star when i accidently swiped right, and there it was! My apps! Lovely UI but needs to be a bit more user friendly. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Royally sucks. Used it on a friends SGS. The pro, paid version. For an app that costs $2.99 (against innumerable useful apps that actually had some effort from the developer for $0.99) this really sucks! launcher7 pr somethibg like that is wayyyyyyy better and FREE. No widgets, search... how can the dev have the courage to price it so outrageously, or even price it at all. There should be a money back policy on apps like these. And this one should refund with interest!
Awsome. I just would like to ask for some essencial shortcuts or widgets like turn wifi on and off. But it do what says, lightweight, straight to the point and btw im going to install at my mom phone. She bought her first touch smartphone and have been tricky for her. With those big tiles will help her for sure. Thx
No tablet support/gui? Waited a few minutes hoping the icons would appear. Only icon that shows up is "Google Play", which does work. Able to apply wallpapers, however no other icons. Would be great if more icons were included.
Simple yet effective! This is perfect for me to use as the UI to install for some of my older relatives who are not so tech savvy. Stupid simple and just not anything you don't need. Love it!
No Thanks. This is pure garbage. No fly-away animation, only one stock icon (market), and very little customization. I know it's free, but c'mon! Launcher7, ftw!
Where's the arrow? Wow, this app has the stupidest people reviewing EVER! And lots of 'em. If you are to retarded to figure it out, don't rate one star. Just go buy a flip phone and leave the droids to the adults.
Great work, nice and lightweight To the idiot who was butthurt about lack of "effort," go suck on a tablecloth. I tried out the free version and it is much faster and smoother than Launcher 7 (which I used for months). The configuration is much cleaner and simpler and it has all the features you actually need (seriously, who uses search to find apps?). Tested on Xperia Arc
where's the arrow for the app tray? other than that, well done, lightweight, simple and easy to use. would love function to lock the homescreen (prevent accidental long press). thanks.
Some things could be improved... Some things that could be improved: - Posibility of customize the size of the boxes - Include icon-set or posterize + colorize standard icons to match the metro design Things that didn't worked: - In the screen of Manage Hidden Applications, the buttons Save/Cancel aren't shown (in my Samsung Galaxy550) Sorry for my English. Greetings
Bad Performer Yes, I am a geek, and yes, I am a fan of the windows phone, but this is terrible! Starts slowly, and then has no features apart from shortcuts presented in a boringly no-effort way, and a list of installed applications. There are better apps out there folks. Sorry to the creators who put in all the effort to make this...
Bad experience Whatever I tired, there's only one app on the screen - market. And I can tell half the screen is always disabled, for icons disappear once they're dragged there.
Feels good Its nice for the start good work for the beginning and its very lite also gives a good glimpe of the windows phone7 nice work
I like!!! I personally like metro ui better than launcher 7. Metro ui looks more like windows 7 and alot nicer and faster. Launcher 7 looks cheesy
USELESS I shouldn't call this useless but it won't open on my phone... Keep getting a force close sorry about pushing the average down it's a great idea
It's good Just needs some animations when you choose a tile and it's a little laggy on the app screen when you scroll. Please fix? I like this.
. Doesnt give option to pin tiles.. Do explain how to pin icons on screen
F-naaaah Launcher 7 is so much better this one doesn't even have the customization launcher 7 has (I understand its a lite version but still) I will say this though it has potential
seems unusable. Very slow to initialize and then it just showed one tile, the market app. How do i reach my other apps?
Samsung galxy s I cant even change Icons I would rather pay 100 dollars for a crappy theme then this theme
Doesnt work Not working on Epic Touch 4G
Good but can be better 3 stars for now but can easily do better.
Amazing! For those with black screen, touch right edge of screen to open app drawer. Long press on desired apps to add to homescreen.
Doesn't work Only shows one item and that's the market. Can't add any more.
Love the concept especially no ads but!!!!!! This launcher doesn't appear to work like in the photos listed above. There are no customizable icons to choose from. Yes you can pin any app icon to the home screen but there are no customizable icons that show on the home screen just the regular ugly default icons. Please fix for the epic 4g touch......
Decent app Guys u need to add the apps u want to the home screen. Colors wud hve been nice
Dead simple and crazy quick (after the first load). Few features but very lightweight. Great for my older deactivated phone.
Real nice, and easy to see. No ads! However, I personally prefer launcher7 to this :) congrats tho to the developers... add widgets etc.
Bunk Doesn't work on my sg2
H Would be great if more metro icons were added
Doesn't work on nexus s
<3 It just perfect nuff sed (;
Good Nice AAP but could have been better if every tile could be coloured
Beautiful Perfect. Fast snappy & light. Couldn't ask for more. Keep it up. :) And to all who think it's not loading or that only one icon is visible : swipe to the right and you will see all of your apps. Press and hold to add more to the home screen.
HTC Rezound Not bad, simple and fast. I like it.
HTC Inspire 4g Peeps Snab launcher 7 way better ui and the lite version is full with adds in app drawer that's it plus way better lol
Great app but needs fixing Tested on both my Samsung Galaxy S II and HTC Sensation. Works flawless on the Galaxy but lags a lot during animation in Sensation. Love it!
Loving it It's lightweight and after the initial startup, is really fast. Thanks to the dev for making this free with no ads.
good but its great simple and lightweight two issues 1. it gets killed when I clear the RAM through the default Samsung task manager 2. please add the option of changing the colour of each tile individually.
Suck big Dosent work only shows market and phone tile on my galaxy note
peace of crap its not refreshing app drawer even in last ver !
2x1 icons please
Great launcher. What is realy necessary is a small weather wiget in one of the squares, and possibility to move tiles. Great THX to the developer.
I have all apps dublicated or even 3-4 times repeated in the menu. The ability to move tiles is appreciated too. HD2
Perfect! Ok, so, I have tried lots of other launchers and bought the full versions too. None have been this easy or good looking either. I love the easy operation of Metro UI Lite...will probably be buying and sticking with the full version...VERY SOON. After I give lite version a test run for a while. I do like that it looks like Nokia Lumia Windows Phone.
Incomplete I wish the tiles is more costumizable... like a picture can be used as tile... Or 2x1 tile (vertical or horizontal) for a tile... Plus, please allow tiles to have widgets (like time and data, or weather). Good start though... just need more work..
Works as stated. To add icons you slide the home screen left to bring up the list. Hold your finger on the icon you want and up comes an option window. Then add it to your home page. It isn't exciting but it works and it's easy.
Slow Very Poor app design. Slow and does not show my apps. This app was great a few years ago. Cm10 nookcolor
Crap Won't let me add any tiles. All I see is a black screen and the market tile.
Simple n light launcher This is the simplest n lightest launcher I have ever tried. It is soo light that it doesn't make ur phone lag. Try it :)
ahhhh looks goof but dont work on my gs2
Rubbish Do I need to say anything else?
Shit This shit does not work
Samsung Galaxy S Advance This one is the best UI and is working brilliantly on my phone..I really had big interest in Metro UI and this one really fulfills my needs.. Big thanks.
