Who can use the Medibank Mobile App?
There are certain features anyone can use, such as the Members’ Choice provider search. But to use features relating to your membership, you must be a Medibank health insurance member.

Medibank members with Visitors Health Insurance, Working Visa Health Insurance and Overseas Student Health cover may not have access to all membership related features.

Not a Smart user flow So you start the app to make a new claim, choose the new claim Option, Login, and THEN it tells you that you can only claim 4 types of Medical services. Why not tell me at the very start so i don't waste my time!

Dental claims don't work App puts a D in front of the claim item number which results in medibank rejecting the claim. Typical of medibank to give you the D. Shocking app. On the phone with them now and they're telling me I've put it in wrong. Ridiculous

Largely unusable Latest update will not show my claims history - says I have an internet access problem but I don't. Also when making claims for dental services it won't allow only a total cost to be entered - it insists a cost be entered for each item. This is not how most dentists bill.

Glitch when submitting dental claims through this app I would have rated this app 0 star if I can! The app will add a capital letter D in front of each dental item number, making the whole claim invalid and rejected. You need to fix this problem! I have to call several times to sort it out, and yet your staff member told me I did it wrong! How ridiculous!

Ridiculous Down load app tells me to register online. Thats great till it gets to my date of birth and it wont accept my date of birth that its invalid and then wont type it in properly making the numbers go all screwy when I fix it my dob is still invalid. Fix it. $845 per month for certain services I cant use! I hate calling they say the wait time is between so n such minutes and its always triple that time!

Map zooming problem Everytime I look for a service provider it keeps zooming in on my current location and I can't move the map screen without it zooming in again at whatever I touch. A bit frustrating when all I want to do is zoom out and for it to stay zoomed out so I can see a larger area for a suitable provider. Thanks

Not tested. Not working. Not worth installing. Look at the '5 star' reviews for this app! They are not legitimate users! Constantly logs me out and when l do log into the app l am bombarded by error messages. This app was never tested prior to its submission to the Playstore. It is terrible and will be uninstalled!

Can't claim remedial massage I downloaded this app only to discover that you can only claim for Chiro, Physio, Dental and Optical - nothing else. I downloaded this specifcally to claim a Remedial Massage, which ended up being a waste of time.

I can login again! Latest update fixed my login issues, and it does what it says it can do. Make claims, view my limits, and update my details. Pretty handy to find a provider when I need one too.

Good but Tried to register but will not accept birthdate. It has a dd/mm/yyyy format but when I type my date it says invalid date. Tried registering on internet via tablet, mob phone and this app but all give invalid date.

good, but could be better I like that you can see how much of your claim limits you have used, when your last payment was and locate "members choice" providers. But I would like to see when my premium is paid up to and have the ability to log in with a four digit pin.

More to do Logging out doesn't seem to do anything; currency symbol is not localised. Its sterling! Be a nice to have for any waiting periods on extras to be calculated from policy start date.

Useful, but could be better The app and login work fine for me, and you can see a reasonable amount of information: but you can only claim for optical, dental, chiropractic and physiotherapy -- it would be better if you could claim for more types rather than having to use the full website.

Can't log in Used it once and then it could never find my location when trying to find a provider. Uninstalling.

Current version of the app does not work. When I try to look up the provider number, it says "You have entered an invalid provider number". Yet when I enter the same provider number in the web based version claiming, it finds the provider with no issue. Same deal with Claims History. It says to check my internet connection and try again (happens on both wifi and 4g)

Waste of time Why release an app when you can only claim under 4 categories. What a waste of time. Can't see the point in having it with these limitations. Perhaps it should tell you this before you go through the login process.

Worst update ever!!!!!!!! What a complete joke the new website is. Looking for details is unintuitive and guess what, if you are looking at claim history in portrait mode you can't scroll across to see the important details. Get rid of this crap. Most companies move away from browser websites and build the info into an app. You've done the complete opposite. Sack your dopey I/T team.

Cannot claim everything The ability to claim everything you can on the main website should be implemented as a priority to the mobile app otherwise the app just wastes my limited phone storage space. Get with modern day Australia you are no longer govt owned so get with the picture and develop a decent useful app that isn't a waste of time and space.

Terrible- Wont even let you sign in. Wont even let you sign in. Every time you try it says "something must have gone wrong". I can only log in via the actual website. Absolute rubbish. Do not waste your time trying, because then your account gets locked. So stupid.

Does not works on Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Works well with Galaxy Note 3 but not Note 4 and 5. Never able to load claim history or make a claim. Cannot find provider or previous claimed provider. Have to use PC to login to do claims. Sucks!

Buggy Very buggy, get error messages every time i try to use it. Can't view claim limits... also have problems with medibank website, get error message when i try to change my password and have to log in with a new temporary password every time i need to log in. Very frustrating.

Cannot claim When claiming it will go through but with no benefit to be paid back. The contact centre staff were equally confused and told me to try it on the website. What is the point of this app if I have to do that?

Hey Medibank, check out the nib app to see what a useful app looks like Have recently transferred from nib. So far happy with Medibank but this app is useless. Says provider number invalid, error retrieving provider history, small amount of claims available, can't lodge claim for my wife. I never had to go to the website for nib as their app had it all covered.

Useless Any claims made don't get paid, and you aren't told why they just get rejected. It only when you call up they advise you claimed with a letter in front of the code which is incorrect but the app does this automatically!! very poor attempt

App shows invalid id when u try enter a ID that is not on their list... What's the point of the app if u can't enter non listed health providers

Known bug? For a few months now, each time I log in it keeps telling me to 'check my internet connection and try again'. Yet when I select a different option, it would display my information. Having said that I like this app, and use it quite frequently and finding a provider is such a breeze. They also make it pretty easy for me track my claims limit. Wouldn't it also be great to link providers directly on the app so you can make an appointment as well? Thumbs up, but had to deduct a star for the bug mentioned above.

Pointless app So I can apply for and pay for family cover with Medibank without anyone asking my husband for confirmation, yet your app won't allow me to upload any claims for him. It also only has 4 categories of claims I can make for me and the kids. Bordering on the most useless app ever.

Won't load providers, won't recognise providers...apparently the chiro I've been seeing and claiming on for over 12 years isn't a valid provider??? What a joke medibank... You charge us SO MUCH for premiums the very least you can do is build us a decent app!!!

Doesnt work Cant make a claim. Keeps coming up wit a message saying something went wrong and to ring medibank. When you ring them they just didect you to use the online claim. No help at all.

No longer works on all my Samsung Galaxy devices. Noticed this app stopped working on my S3, S6 and Note8 sometime in September 2015. It no longer allows me to see my claim limits, rendering this app useless. No point having an app that just shows your member details as I have a card for that. Needs to be fixed asap! Still doesn't work as at February 4th 2016.

Needs work 1. Never saves my previous providers, I get the error 'an error occurred receiving your recent providers', tried a number of times over the month. I don't want to type in the provider code every time. 2. Please add a Save Password option, I don't want to be typing a complex password while I'm on the go. 3. Seems to work OK... Press the Android menu button and the app crashes every time. Handy way to find providers and to check on extras limits and claim levels. Time will tell if I actually use the app much.

What a joke The app has several different options which all just link you straight to the medibank website. It also advises you the website may not work on mobile devices and may need to be viewed on a laptop. I was able to view the website but couldn't log on via the mobile site even though my details were correct. Why have an app if it just links you to a website. Why have a website that doesn't allow you to log in. This is a joke. It's 2016 guys; sort yourselves out.

Noticed this app no longer suppirts my Galaxy devices with Android kitkat sometime in September 2015. It has now become just a weblink to the website, rendering this app useless. Privatisation has worked wonders for Medibank....NOT! Uninstalled.

What's the point? Useless app, just refers you to the mobile version of the website. Claim history is not in chronological order & impossibly to can't find how much you have left for things such as extras. The old app used to show your limits, and how much you've used. You should make that feature available as a part of the mobile version. Premiums keep going up and use ability keeps going down.

Totally and utterly USELESS! It has now become just a weblink to the website requiring you to log in. Once in, all it does is show your member number, a tab that shows your hospital cover (what you are covered for or not covered for), and an extras tab that only shows your max limits. Basically it's a dumbed down version of your T&C's and that's it. It no longer shows running balance of your extras like the original app, so there's no way to check what you have left to spend without calling.


Absolute junk Hopelessly useless CRM and IT staff. Surprised the CIO still has a job. For those who don't know this isn't an upgrade. Medibank recently transformed their systems into a complete dog's breakfast of a failure. All their systems are screwed. Your premiums are going towards financing this rubbish and the people/integrator associated with it.
