If the unpredictable pairings and outcomes in the NCAA Basketball Tournament's March Madness get your juices flowing, then this game may be for you. No, it's not next year's NCAA entrants. In fact, it's three different databases of maddening match ups, including: "Stuff to Eat," "Things to See" and "Executive Decisions."
The first two categories pose random pairings of food and things you'd like to see. You may have to choose between eating "Lobster or Filet Mignon?"… Seeing "the Eiffel Tower or a NASCAR super event." The third category, "Executive Decisions," ups the ante, placing you in the hot seat of a major policy maker, perhaps senator or President. You'll have to "vote" on random match-ups like "fund Medicaid or the Military?"… "fight cancer or world hunger?"… promote "Middle East Peace or pursue a Pro-Life agenda."
The randomization element makes the match-ups different every time you play! Play with your friends and you may be shocked at their priorities. You may be surprised by some of your own choices. Oh, yeah, the game doesn't allow dawdling. So, if you're not a decider now, after a few rounds of MatchUp Madness you'll be well on your way to becoming the ultimate DETERMINATOR.
Visit www.doandyouwilllearn.com to find out how you can get a CUSTOMIZED VERSION of this game as an app (cool for a company conference to test decision-making) or buy the computer version that allows you to INSERT YOUR OWN CATEGORIES and match ups. (Click on the D-I-Y Games link.) Teachers, this game offers a highly engaging way for students to understand decision making. By allowing them to create categories and insert entries, they'll have a better feel what the term "being responsible for your decisions" means.
