Mandelbrot Map 2 is a simple Mandelbrot fractal viewer for Android that acts as an "infinite map". Simply use it like Google Maps, with panning and zooming. It also offers options to save images and set as wallpaper.

Note: this was designed to be just a simple demo app. There are other more fanciful or faster fractal renderers on Market.

Want to fix the OOM bug or add palette cycling? Checkout the web site for the source, it's GPL, gimme a patch!

Update: Fly Mode (in menu>more).
- v12 now uses RenderScript on Honeycomb, if available. This is experimental and may crash.
- v13 supports Honeycomb tablet UI. Switch to double for deeper zoom.

If u could cange colors and allow to zoom in on one specific section this would be amazing!

Works good, extremely small footprint. Some issues at zoom levels that probably reveal limitations of cpu math without warning.

No pinch zoom, and not infinite - got about 10 zoom levels in before reaching limit of precision - no more pretty pictures. Galaxy S

A bit laggy on DROID. Never got the point of fractal generators, the fractals always look exactly the same, so why bother? Heh.

I like Mandelbrot. It does what it needs to do, but given that this is a phone, it has constrained resources; it is slow.
