Download Loadshedding SA apk 2.0.3 free for Android smartphone
Apk file size: 12.0 MB
This has easily become one of the most widely used apps amongst Blackberry and Android users in South Africa.
Never again be left in the dark without knowing when, what and for how long loadshedding affects your day-to-day life.
Whether you use it as an informational or planning tool, this app uses as little mobile data as possible in order to conserve that expensive mobile data that you have on your mobile device. Other apps utilise a web back-end, this app is a completely local solution and will work even when you have run out of airtime/data.
This app will help you keep you up to date with the latest information regarding load shedding as it is communicated from ESKOM.
Countless suburbs have been added to this app that have been omitted from the various MUNICIPALITIES throughout South Africa
We currently feature the following within this app:
-A comprehensive current load shedding status that includes the current status of load shedding, the current national grid utilisation as well as the latest tweets from ESKOM
-The ability to choose which Twitter feed to follow that the app displays (@ESKOM_SA or @ESKOM_MediaDesk)
-A built-in flashlight to help find your way around when you're in the dark (Look for the orange light bulb on the action bar)
-A daily notification of either the loadshedding probability or when loadshedding has started (This can also be disabled if you wish)
-An OFFLINE complete listing of all the estimated currently affected areas within all of South Africa
-An OFFLINE loadshedding planner for the day (Johannesburg, Cape Town, Ekurhuleni and Tshwane only at this point in time)
This app is currently undergoing tireless active development and is updated regularly. Please ensure that you have the latest and most up to date version in order to have the latest features at your fingertips, as we significantly change the way this app functions with every update.
Typically, the updates are available for download on a Monday morning.
If your area is spelt incorrectly or is not featured, please let us know so that we can correct/include it.
If you encounter a bug, please send us an email to report it!
Latest Development News:
We have been hard at work finalising the latest update, it will be released soon and will include many bug fixes as well as a few additional features. Be sure to keep your app up to date as we will be releasing this soon.
Whilst every effort is made to be as accurate as possible, we are dependent on ESKOM as well as the various municipalities to convey the correct and current load shedding information. As such, our information will only be as accurate as ESKOM makes publicly available.
We are not affiliated with ESKOM in any way, as such, the sources and information displayed is delivered and interpreted from what ESKOM has shared with the public.
Added city of CT support for the LSP feature
Various bug fixes
Rezonet Softworks part of our Personalization and have average installs from 5000 to 10000. Last Update May 3, 2015. Google play rating is 53.7313. Current verison is 2.0.3. Actual size 12.0 MB.
Crap Rather download Grid Watch. Not nearly as many updates and it actually works. No force close issues like Loadshedding SA has.
Awesome Great app, does what it should do. Been using it for 3 weeks and it's been accurate every single day so far. The tweets are a nice feature and I get updates often to notify me of any changes. People who complain about this app are obviously checking wrong areas or aren't allowing push notifications.
Does what it should The app gives the information it should at the current moment, but could use a little more. A predictive schedule would be nice (however, with Eskom's ever-changing times and stages I don't blame the developers for avoiding such a feature). It would also be nice if the app could store your location rather than needing you to enter it every time you want to quickly check for the next power cut. Finally, it would be nice if the app could automatically keep track of the current stage to avoid inconvenience.
Doesn't notify you when not updated Why should I have to update the app in order to receive notifications. Just doesn't make sense to me. Overall I have no other negative feedbacks to give about the app.
Frustrating! I haven't been able to use it once. Keeps on 'stopping' . Uninstalling now.
Planning! Loving the loadshedding planner
Working perfectly! Thank you!
App deserves more stars In it self the app is good. I like the push message giving possible load shedding stages. Updating is a real killer. Have to wait upto 5 min for the cache to rebuild everything the app is updated !!? As a programmer myself is see this as unacceptably long. There must be a more efficient way. If this is resolved the will 5 stars.
Useful app for all south africans Should be installed by all south Africans hoping to plan their day around load shedding. I like the morning notification stating the likelihood of load shedding for the day.... Which gives hours of warning (unlike eskom - which randomly flips the switch as you get in the shower)
Usefull app Sad that we need this but thanks to dev for the effort, good layout, and frequent updates for accuracy, also reported an error and was fixed on next update
Just hoping that this ap is spot on so we the public aren't in the dark!!
Advertisements and bad interface Diffucult to see schedule for specific areas! Ads inside the app is definately a deal breaker
Awesome app Appreciate the effort and it's free. Don't worry about the 1 star ratings. Keep up the good work. Thank you developer
Useless app :(
Only major cities. Under Western Cape only Cape Town is listed, kind of useless if you don't live in Cape Town.
Very useful I update once a week as more areas are covered. Thanks for the effort!
No Eskom customers This app is usefull will give it a 5 star if the Eskom direct customers area is also listed
Westham , Phoenix Please add to your list of areas for KZN.
What's the use? What's the use of the App if you can't use the actual app to see schedules? Why constantly redirect to a website? It would be great to have the schedule on the APP to plan routes and diaries. What a waiste.
Insufficient detail. When Gauteng- City Power is selected and my area Parkhurst, and I return to the Home screen, it reports the current state (Stage 1) & the day of the week, but nothing else. No times, no confirmation that Parkhurst is displayed (which is not scheduled for today stage 1). Needs work as City Powers website is more accurate!
Not very helpful. Does not have, or I could not find any info for western cape
Had potential, but not yet there We are into loadshedding, but the app still shows no loadshedding. The page has not updated.
Misleading There's a little spec on the SA map called Western cape (where the dodgy necleur power station is) that does not seem to feature!!
Don't say SA if its only Gauteng pls!
No load shedding schedules. Installed and Uninstalled it.
Unstable All android users I know experience the same thing: this app crashes whenever you click on a load shedding notification. And whenever you open after that it tries to re-download something that takes forever before opening the app. This has been the case for more than 3 months and the developers haven't bothered to fix it. So they probably never will.
App crashes. Never been able to load it. app crashes everythime u try load it. notification pops up to alert about load shedding but whenu try open app to see where it crashes.
LOAD OF CRAP My area is not shown at all and it's very useless
Loadsheding app Why is it taking time to download I am afraid that loadsheding will catch me off guard while waiting for the download......time is ticking still waiting for the download.
