Keeps me informed on relevant as well as interesting topics! Love that this version is free. Oh yeah, it's actually factual while having a voice.

Jason Bennett

Better App has gotten better, but the news alerts don't expand properly to show all the text

Michael Blankenship

Fantastic! After messing around w/myriad functions of this latest iteration, I'm happy with the vastly improved functionality; this on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, no less...

A Google User

A wonderful update Shocked to see the LAT Android app follow material design guidelines and not just be a lousy iOS port like it previously was. Bravo to the company for taking mobile seriously.

Sydney Tran

It's Fine I haven't had any loading problems like other reviewers have experienced. However I'd like to suggest that we be able to see the complete title or notification when we pinch out (when you can save the story from the notification panel). It really annoys me when I want to know what's after the ellipses. Every other news app I've owned (and I use quite a few) has this option. Overall the app functions but they might want to revamp their design a bit. There's no wow factor.

M. Nexus

A mediocre app It has nothing special that sets it apart and for all intents and purposes is fairly useless compared to some of the better news apps

G Querxic

Terrible notifications Decent app but poorly designed notification system. Only shows the first line of the headline, which is usually not enough to tell what the story is about. Notifications can't be expanded except to choose a "save" option, which us pointless since I can't even tell what the story is! Also, I miss the old feature in Sports where you could display only articles about specific teams. Please bring that back.

Stephen Bingham

Took a perfectly good app and ruined it. App no longer works at all on my droid. Problem has gone on for weeks unfixed. No more LA times for me. I can do better elsewhere.

Rusty Leavitt

Version 3.2 is improved...but bad At least this version feels modern & works in landscape mode. The app is extremely slow, though. It takes 7 - 15 minutes to download the news. The app's new "follow" feature seems hand baked. Not only does it not let you choose your own topics, but the ones it offers are often way off the mark. A recent article about John Lennon ’s art offered to let me follow "Paul McCartney," but not "John Lennon," "art" or "Beatles."

Ronald Bergmann

The app is better. This app is better than it has been in previous versions. Still has a lot of duplicated stories. The latest update makes the app way too slow to load pages. Waiting 20-30 seconds for a page to load is too long.

Delores Tseng

....a lot of room for improvement Well, I was glad initially that LA times finally has an app. However, I do not like this app especially when it compared side by side with NY times' app. I am not sure if there has a way to turn off the notification because I was annoyed by long beeps.

Erick Williams

HTC One M8 55mbs WiFi and this dumb app is saying "you have no internet connection" wtf first it was supper slow so I uninstall and reinstall thinking that would help. I swear these android apps are getting worse. Maybe it's time to get the iPhone or Windows mobile.

George Cowie

Will not open. Quits. 3 reinstalls. Still will not open.

Eduardo Esquivel

Link it up Update: thanks L.A. times. The app works great. The latest update fixed the issue I had. The app works great compared to other news apps and with high quality reporting. The only thing is when a news update flashes and I tap the alert, it sends you to the front page instead of the article. Fix that and its 4 stars from me.

Marcy Harbut

Hard to navigate to a specific story This app is okay if you are just browsing to get the latest news, but if you want to see something specific you will get lost. I have given up on using the alerts because tapping on them just takes me to the home page, and I can never find the article that interested me. Even more infuriating is it lacks a search function! Ridiculous!

Mark Suzuki

Very similar to the online and print versions. It needs a widget though. Good for getting local news. . Although I miss the days when the times really gave you local news by local area

Michael Gerla

LA times app. No More than I need to know. I like that. To the point.

Alex Pace

Weird back button behavior I've manually blocked notifications from this app in settings, so I never see them. Overall a nice looking app, but the back button behavior on exit is bizarre. When I exit, a random app from my recent stack will pop up and I have to manically smash the back button to get back to my home screen

Richard P.

Aweful! Refresh doesn't "stick" After reading an article and I go back to"latest news", the app reverts back to old news 6 hours ago. I have to refresh each time. This has gotten very old and frustrating. Please fix!

Gregory French

L.A.Times I have to read the L. A. Times it's truly a tradition.

Derek Turner

Supposed fix on update for push notification taking you to the article is still not working properly on Andriod Note

David Kotowski

Infected? Annoying App Pop-Ups I love LAT and the newest version of the app is great, except for the pop-up ads for app downloads. I thought one of the versions was infected, but it has persisted. Any fix? It's annoying to read articles and then get interrupted to download a game in Google Play.

Eric Mazariegos

Beautiful UI but... If there are pictures embedded into an article, they won't load on this app. This is somewhat confusing as a reader, because I come across photo descriptions sometimes while browsing articles, but I see no actual photos. This seems like a simple fix. Otherwise perfect...

Armen Zakaryan

It's OK Clicking on notification should take me to the story and not the home page. Other than that it's a 5 star app.

A Google User

Terrible update. I could walk to the corner and pick up a physical news paper by the time this app opens.

Deegant Adhvaryu

Issues Headlines in the push notification are never available to read on the app. What's the point of having push notifications to an article if the article hasn't been uploaded to the actual app yet?

James Matheson, Jr.

Fails every time. You are better off accessing this newspaper through the web browser than this app. The app does not open at all. It is a waste of time.

Ronald Wagner

Alerts disconnected from app I've used this app for several weeks and notice that virtually every story alert notification will not take you to the indicated story and it is practically impossible to find the story that generated the alert. Very frustrating.

Andrew Eklov

Please fix the glitch... when I get a notification, I click on it and it doesn't take me to the article. It takes me to the homepage and I find it difficult to find the article. Half the time the article doesn't even exist. Very annoying.

Jeff Brooks

Huge Improvement Over The Previous App... There is absolutely nothing wrong with this app. It's a huge improvement over the previous app, and works just fine. Is it the greatest app ever? Not really. But it gets the job done.

Soroush Ismaili

Notification preferences The app is much improved, however the latest version does not honor notification preference settings after you restart your device (in my case a Samsung Galaxy S3). Been waking me up at night. Have to uninstall until resolved as I switch out batteries multiple times per day. Please fix.

Pigbutt McGee

Actually Free! I was expecting to have to buy a subscription after installing this app, but I was happy to find that it is free! Great interface, nice clean look, and offers download for offline reading. Great job LA Times!!!

jorge fuentes

Where did the high school section go? I like the older version ,where you can choose your team news

Jason Lee

Excellent Much better than previous app

Robert McKim

Bug fix In the LA times overview page, two stories will not clear out. "Senate race tightens" mary land row and "Chicago Fire stalls air traffic "

Wesly Moore

Dramatically improved BUT The new app design is a great improvement. Kudos to the design team for that. BUT - breaking news notifications do not link to the actual news item, instead they take you to your last viewed item or the app front page. Come on, this seems like a no-brainer. HTC One.

Abel Tapia

Awesome! Very nice UI and easy to navigate... And now, offline mode works!

Derrick Segee

Don't like it should have option to switch to E edition

James

Needs search function. Edit: Search function has been added, thank you!

Ronald Bergmann

The app is way too slow. This app format is better. However, I am truly tired of watching little circles go round and round while the articles load. Good grief, could this app be any slower? Yes, it has gotten slower. Waiting 50-60 seconds for a page to load is ridiculous.

Byron B.

Offline DOES NOT WORK at all, therefore I have no use for it! I used to use this app to read the LA Times at work where I have no Internet access. Now the developers have decided to break that functionality. Either that or the coding is just that bad! DO NOT DOWNLOAD! NOT RECOMMEND!

Richard Massey

Offline doesn't work well at all When I download to read offline I always have problems with pulling up articles, sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Very frustrating. Older version worked better.

Reynold Akinboro

Not Worth Getting a Subscription Had this app and the subscription for around 6-8 months. Subscribing was a horrible mistake. It still had adds which is surprising because you ate alway paint a monthly fee, opening the application through a notification is a hassle (because it claims that I don't have a subscription). Overall, the experience was a huge letdown. Save your money, and just use Flipboard or News Republic and Appy Geek.

Jeff Cameron

Crashes Pages load slow... then more slow...then the app will freeze. Maybe, if we had an option to turn off the thumbnails on the menu page, the pages would load faster. Anyway, something is wrong. I am looking forward to the day that I can use this app to actually read the Times

Wally Hass

Not working Nexus 6p Once I upgraded to new phone it worked OK until I provide credentials and then crashes at start.

bernard morris

always crashing I picked up my subscription to the times for online access. I was looking forward to finally reading the paper on my phone since they gave no access to windows phones. I have not been able to open this app and browse the paper once. please LA times fix this issue

Jim Norwood

Rated 1 star. Was a great app. Now it displays the cover screen when opening but never loads the stories. The only way I could fix it was to delete the cache and then it works. But I have to do that every time I want to open the app. For some reason the app and it's cache get hung up. 5 stars if they ever get that fixed. I have android version 4.4.1 on a Galaxy Note II.

Fernando Serrano

$ 4.99 plus adds for crappy articles... I don't think so deleting the app today

Andrew Young

Unstable I like the app, but it is a bit slow and crashes frequently, even with the latest "stability enhancements ". Crashed 4 times this morning while trying to read the news. You may be better off with LA Times channel in Flipboard, Digg, or similar.

Matt J

Confusing article layout I am a subscriber to the print edition, as well as digital content. My rating is for the app... functionality, in particular the article layout. The articles appear in some sort of a two column grid, which at first looks like a well organized array of several articles displaying the article header and in most cases a few lines of the article. Things get really messy after refreshing the article list by performing a "pulling down" gesture and upon reading an article. The layout permanently moves around, switching articles randomly from left to right, and up and down. Hard to follow what is going on. Please make the layout more static. There are numerous news apps that can do this a lot better.

Douglas Kerr

And the app keeps telling me that I've reached my limit of 10 articles per week. Fix this LA Times, and it will deserve more stars. NEW- I like the Times, but now the app crashes when it starts. Reduced to one star because it is essentially worthless to me.

Allan Knies

Crashes every time on startup on Nexus devices. Not good since I am a paid subscriber... Will cancel if not fixed very soon.

Nick Pullman

Excellent when it's not crashing Great layout, can even download for offline viewing. Problem is it often crashes, and the push notifications often never load the page they should, or tell me im not a subscriber, then crashes. Other than that, great.

Melissa O'Leary

Soooo sloooooow. And then it crashes. Also doesn''t allow for readers' comments, which is the best part of the New York Times app.

Olivo Carlos

Was a great app. It freezes and takes a along time to load. Please fix it. It use to be a good app.

Autumn Sandeen

My number one source for news I'm paying because I want the writers paid, and I know the numbers don't add up for traditional newspapers if no one pays for the material. App is easy to use, and I'm using it.

Karen Vuleta

Had to replace subscribe when I canceled home delivery Slowest app ever ..getting slower. Often go outside app and find article to share. .still counts my free reads before allowing access

Tony W.

Welcome to the Pay Wall I may try the subscription, but $5 a month for limited access probably won't work out well as a long term survival option when so much other (and more objective) news is available online without charge.

Raul Contreras

This IS the best News App for California/West Coast Advertisements in the sections and throughout each article wasnt enough revenue, now it is 4.99 a month! What a shame! I am completely disappointed amd bummed. Subscribing because I LOVE LA

Brian Tankersley

Still doesn't work right - updated x3 I'm a paid subscriber now and it still doesn't work right. Not all offline reading articles download. It still crashes all the time. Please update!

Kevin Hengehold

Freeze, Crash... Freeze, Crash... Freeze, Crash... Freeze, Crash... Freeze, Crash... You get the point.

Rich Ellis

R Ellis It takes forever to load, freezes and then crashes. Why do I need to see ads if I'm paying a fee?

Lena Kay

Pay for play! I used to use this app all day but now with the 4.99 subscription.. I am sad to have to delete!

Osvaldo Lopez

Pay Subscription Sorry but I am not paying when there's apps out there with same coverage that are free, if they can do it LA Times brass might not know what they're doing. Bye app !

Matthew Maland

Started charging for articles Plenty other free news apps. Don't bother with this crap.

B. Stuart Walker

Like the news but often doesn't work.

Robert Weber

Need to fix the bugs! I pay for a digital subscription to the LA Times so I want the app to be reliable. Sometimes it's so glitchy as to be unusable. Please fix so I can enjoy the quality reporting.

Lissa Christian

Too bloated and slow, slow, slow There are so many ads constantly being loaded that it takes forever to load news. It is not worth paying for online version. If free might be worth trouble to put up with such a bad app. If going to pay, get the paper addition. At least the ads stay still.

Allen Thompson

Crashes faster than competing news apps I'm a subscriber, so I'm not bothered by the paywall as others have complained, but the app crashes consistently on my Nexus 6P running Marshmallow stock. Not the news app experience I was expecting.

Traci Calvillo

No Paying I'm not paying to use the awful site, deleting.

Bennett Smith

I pay for digital access With my Sunday Times subscription, yet it doesn't seem to work with this app. Fix it!

Mike Defibaugh

Not useable Get notifications but then crashes when I go to the app.

Jess Winfield

Still the Worst Why the Times can't make a decent app, despite many tries, is beyond me. Current deal-breaker is that it warns me that I have "x free views" of articles keft, subscribe today! Only when I've dismissed that ten times do I get the option to to tell it I'm already a subscriber--which it promptly forgets the following month. And repeat. So annoying.

Ros Tobe

Recent updates don't help Fix the app already, why does it take 5 minutes to load over a fast WiFi connection. Was working great but now loads very slowly and ads disrupt loading

Jay Berger

Up to date and accutate Great news app. Lots of details and you can depend on the accuracy.

Sandy Skal-Gerlock

Love it! Great way to keep informed!

Paul Rabinov

New version (11/2015) Slow and laggy. Crashes frequently. This is increased stability? Thus far it is terrible as it won't even open. If I could give it 0 stars I would!

Donald Hagen

I grew up in LA 1947-1966 all sports stories are exceptional Dodgers, Lakers, and now my beloved Rams, they finally came home!

Jon Winston

Too Slow Sometimes it's not news any more by the time the app loads...

Paul Bent

Great Until Subscribed App worked perfectly until I paid for a subscription (after lots of hounding and "10 free articles" scam). Now it crashes or freezes every time I use it. Aaaargh.

Carina Vasquez

I just don't like that we're limited on how many we get to read

Filippo Anselmo

Now YOU HAVE TO PAY... updated my app and now im only allowed 10 stories to read before I have to pay...horrible. Your adds dont pay you guys enough i guess. Im going to FOX news app.

Dennis Doherty

Big problem yet to fix Does anyone at LATimes read these? Thankfully you've improved the massive bugs and stability problems. Now how about putting a story under one online section only? The daily delivered newspaper has five sections and stories are not repeated. Your Android app has twenty sections and stories are repeated multiple times! Why? Fix it. I want to scan the sections and see a story only once. Check your competitor's apps.

Raul Contreras

This IS the best News App for California/West Coast Advertisements in the sections and throughout each article wasnt enough revenue, now it is 4.99 a month. I am completely disappointed amd bummed. Subscribing because I LOVE LA. UPDATE: Ads still predominate in subscription form, plus the story counter still counts my 10 free reads. Same great articles. please reduce ads and take away story counter for subscribers. thanks!

Jason van Leeuwen

Buggy - hard to search If you want to know how it's done, check out the NY Times app. 2 stars is being generous to the LAT

Rusty Leavitt

Disappointing elements still disappointing On a phone, this app is awash with ads. At least this version feels modern & works in landscape mode. The app is extremely slow, though. It takes 7 - 15 minutes to download the news. The app's new "follow" feature seems half baked. Not only does it not let you choose your own topics, but the ones it offers are often way off the mark. A recent article about John Lennon ’s art offered to let me follow "Paul McCartney," but not "John Lennon," "art" or "Beatles."

Brian Tankersley

Still doesn't work right - updated x4 I've bern a paid subscriber now for a couple of months and it still doesn't work right. Not all offline reading articles download. It still crashes all the time. Looking forward for a repair or two.

Michael Gonzalez

Forced Subscription The Internet is free, I'll get my news from a more reliable source that doesn't nickel and dime it's customers. Uninstall this app and show these greedy people that this will not stand.

Cynthia Sabatini

Ads take some time to load This is one of my go to apps while I'm waiting anywhere. For awhile I was getting a message counting down how many times I had left for free reading, but that has recently stopped. The time to load the ads is distracting, but the stories are worth it.

Paul Atkinson

Crash Problems Crashes all the time. Have not been able to open the app for a week. Even after uninstall/reinstall the app is unstable.

Leanne Ahmadi

I am a subscriber App won't let me see any further articles even though I am signed in AND I'm a subscriber.

Marco Sanchez

They finally updated the app so it can work on Android again. It took 2 months. Still has ads even though I pay a subscription. Why?

Gene Venable

Not particularly worth reading I used to consider the LA Times right up there with the best newspapers in the country. Now I can't find anything in it I want to read. I subscribe to the NYT and the Economist. Why read this, at any price?

Charlie Rebich

I hate default push notifications I like the app and the content but after I installed it I noticed that I started getting push notifications after a couple of days for articles that I didn't care anything about. I just hate when application designers assume that you would want to receive notifications when if they thought about it, they'd probably realize that most people dont. They should ask first. I work in marketing and that is just a stupid marketing assumotion

William B. DeClercq

Good news coverage but keeps freezing.

David Blakely

App slow to load. IT will also shut down for no reason. Frustrating!!!

Jim Rickard

Not Free Even though the app is free you can only read 10 stories a month for free. Not quite free

Jim Moore

Not good Crashes often and will not respond

Timothy Hansen

Annoying The random page layout is bad enough but just when a story catches your eye, BOOM! It shifts position on the page.

Brian Zeek

Works Well Pretty handy and organized nicely.

Mark Greening

Still crashing every few minutrs

Greg Gehrich

Frustrating Keeps crashing on marshmallow

Matt J

Confusing article layout in tablet app I am a subscriber to the print edition, as well as digital content. The layout permanently moves around,

Eric Vargo

Unstable on my LG G Pad II The LA Times is a great source of local news and human interest stories, but this app is awful. It crashes almost every time I open it.

Douglas Kerr

And the app keeps telling me that I've reached my limit of 10 articles per week. Fix this LA Times, and it will deserve more stars. NEW- I like the Times, but now the app crashes when it starts. Reduced to one star because it is essentially worthless to me. LG G4 running 6.0 Marshmallow

Tom Leykis

This app SUCKS. Can't read more than five articles without it crashing. Tech support is in India and it's awful. Don't pay to subscribe to this paper. Much of the content is available for free elsewhere.

Patricia Bailey

Highly unstable I enjoy the Times, but this app is maddening. It continously freezes or throws you out of the app while reading an article. Not sure why they can't fix this.

James Morris

Hangs, crashes, slowed by ads I subscribed in order to get pages to load faster and not hang as much, but the ads still hang and crash the program.

Mike Selevitch

I like the app I'm paying for a subscription, why all the advertising? Now it's telling me I have 10 articles to read. I'm paying $9.99 a month. What a waist of money. Sorry LA times, I'll find my local news somewhere else. (and they wonder why they can't make money)

Brian Tankersley

Worse than before - updated x5 I've bern a paid subscriber now for a couple of months and it still doesn't work right. Not all offline reading articles download. It still crashes all the time. Now some articles don't load.

A Google User

Gotten better. I am updating this review as the app is working better. The crashing has stopped, but there are some articles that just won't open. Also it doesn't allow for readers' comments, which is the best part of the New York Times app.

Arturo Leal

It keeps you well informed Register with your paid subscription for full access to all sections

Joe Weyers

Nice readable interface Headline notifications don't always take you to the associated story. Scroll can be repetitive on fast moving stories with lots of updates. Previously read stuff can hang around. But it's still the reportage coming from the LA Times, hard to beat that!

Juan Lopez

Link your account Ever since i linked my subcription account, i get unlimited access to all sections. Keeps me well informed of only the info I've requested by taking the time to personalize

Paul Rabinov

New version (11/2015) Much better. It actually works!

Ken Lee

Low quality app. I'm thinking to stop subscription due to many malfunctions, including news Alert not linking up properly, bad editing, etc.

Scott Vanderbilt

Slower than molasses in winter Unbelievably slow and constantly freezing up my Android phone for several minutes at a time. I don't want a flashy media "experience". Just give me the news.

Edric Guise

Waaaaaay too slow. This app is uniquely slow to load all content. Sad since it's a great newspaper.

Myron Glenn

Awesome! User friendly and informative. And notifications are great.

Kim Sanchez

There has been no real estate section update sine May. Why not?

Daniel Martin

Excellent journalism Accurate, objective and informative.

Guy de Gramont

Very slow to load on tablet. NY times app is a lot better.

allan hunter

Excellent Easy to navigate. Great variety of content

Francisco Moreno

Very good app, quick and easy All news on hand

Barbara E weitekamp

Crashes too much

Gary Leikas

Great App Great news. App works every time

David Sack

Confusing Ads redraw the screen. It forgets I'm signed in. Sections at the top are in too small a font

Victor Santillan

It's ok, but not the best

Clare Laufenberg Gallardo

Slow to load. Awkward layout.

Greg LHeureux

Too slow and clunky Slow feeds

Rusty Leavitt

Disappointing elements still disappointing On a phone, this version of the app is awash with ads. At least it feels modern & works in landscape mode.

LeGrim Reaper

Too much ads Even though I'm paying for a Los Angeles time subscription I still get advertisements and those advertisements block text of an article. I am unable to close the advertisement.

sam beal

Do not subscribe The app does does not work. It does not give you unlimited access. It is a complete technical failure.

Dave Jones

Way too slow to load I am a Times subscriber and I prefer this app to the print version and even the website. But it is WAY TOO SLOW! It is slow to load, and slow to change categories, and slow to move from story to story. I like the content, but technically, the app is unacceptable.

herry budiyono

Members not recognized Digital all access member but still have 10 limit on how many article I could read

Richard Massey

Offline doesn't work well at all - When I download to read offline I always have problems with pulling up articles, sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Very frustrating. Older version worked better. Even though I have digital access when I read off line, I only let's me read 10 articles. I end up deleting the App and reloading it to read.

Mark O'Deady

Great (Albeit, Still a Little Quirky) I appreciate the fact that the app downloads and updates stories on a regular basis. I am occasionally incensed when the app tells me that I can only access ten stories unless I become a subscriber (even though I AM a subscriber). It took me a long time to conclude this is simply a quirky programming issue that never was corrected. Subscribers need not log out and back in when they see this note. Simply check to make sure you're still logged-in (you are) and simply return to home. The app self-corrects.

kirk larson

App needs to improve: see nyt Articles take a while to load, even on wifi. Each time in change headings (latest news to California, for example) all the articles have to load again. But your journalists are top notch!

Ken Cee

Used to love this app....it was my go to for news daily. Updated it and now I have to pay to see more than 10 stories, & it loads slower because of the ads..........did I miss something?

Sergio Sánchez

While the app has most of the functionality I would expect, there are a few things that keep me from giving it more than 3 stars. Firstly, the app can be painfully slow. If I'm done with an article and click the "Back" arrow, it takes 1 or 2 seconds for the app to register and complete my command. It's very annoying. Secondly, there's no way to see the "E-Newspaper" like there is on the website. While the content is all the same, having the eNewspaper provides the reader a way to rank the importance of articles based on their position within the newspaper.

Richard T Washington

LA Times App Generally, I like the app, but it's not the newspaper. It lacks that depth (as shallow as that has become with dwindling revenues). The digital aspects appear good but I'm no expert.

The worst Apparently nobody writes story summaries for the main section page SC, but the first few sentences of the story are shown latimes writers write terrible leads so who knows what the story is about.

Scott Sewell

The Times can do better Slow. Unorganized. Often out of date. Usual great content in a unoptimized and under performing package.

Great Read and Well Designed I use the LA Times app daily and it is always my first read of the day. The app is well designed and the content first rate.

Marco Sanchez

Doesn't recognize my subscription First the app loaded slow. That was fixed. Now it doesn't recognize my subscription. What kind of people are you hiring for app development?

Gary LaForge

Search can be frustrating Sometimes searching with key words from the print edition fails to locate the article. So one star withheld.

Peter Chang

little flaw When I enlarged the text font size, some of the texts are now blocked by the images in the articles.

Chip Wright

Good App, but the paper is always better. I love having the app in case I don't have time to read the paper at home. But I'm old school and I prefer the paper.

Richard Solomon

Does the job Would be 5 stars if the comics were included!

Richard Shirey

Provides wide range of stories I like reading the latest news and sports which provides me local, state, and national news.

Raymond Rivas

LA Times Thought I was getting copy of the paper

Jon W

Like the app, it's just not the full LA Times

Dante Sinclair

I like the app. Just not the same as the newspaper.

Linda Deogracias

I love my LA Times on the go. I have a subscription so I get the best of the Times.

Frederick P.

Worthwhile but not world-class

Roberto Rizo

Great app. Makes staying informed about current event very easy. Great app.

Fred Mc Gehee

Could be better Needs more depth of coverage, and more updates

Mikhail Zinshteyn

Fine. Mobile site offers more content

Brent Smiley

Clunky and slow

Brian Gratton

Solid And often cool

Rusty Leavitt

Disappointing elements still disappointing The app is extremely slow.

S Cl

A bit slow The app is a bit slow, but what I really don't like is that I can't use Google assist or web search from the app. I've notified them of this, and while they've acknowledged my request, they gave no indication of trying to implement it.

Frank Bellino

Works very smoothly Only complaint is it doesn't always recognize me as a print subscriber and challenges my right to read articles. Probably my fault but procedure for resolving that issue should be more obvious or easier.

Roger Fiets

Just OK If you like Hillary Clinton, you'll love the L.A. times. It would be nice if they allowed comments. But they won't. They don't want to be slammed for their liberal bias.

Paul K.

Stupid idea New app update limits you to max 10 articles a month? In this age of free media? I'm sure I'm not the only one deleting this app. Good idea, guys.

LaMonte Lawson

Uncertain Stories disjointed at times. Some not well written seems to demonstrate lack of fact checking in many articles. Definitely, could be better!

Cody West

Mediocre I still find the format of the app to be very unappealing. As a result I have moved on to better news apps.

Michael Blatt

L.A. Times app Slow to load stories. Locks up too often. Previous version was much better.

Mike Wong

Could be better Crashes frequently, slow at times, and just overall buggy.

Paul Lambert

Good for the most part Great content but the actual page layout isn't as easy to navigate, also you can't use return

Janine Roach

Why are there ads? If I pay for this, why are there ads? There aren't ads in my NY Times subscription. And it asks if it can use my location literally every time I open it. NO. The answer is no. Stop asking.

Charles Blue

Usually good, but not perfect Normally works well, but a lot of crashes this year (2016).

Eric Johnson

Slow and clunky This app continues to be slow to load, especially compared to other news apps. Why do the story tiles move around? It's distracting and you have to go back up to make sure you didn't miss anything.

Brian Miller

Nice app I haven't had any issues with this app. Performs well, laid out well, very good app.

Brian Embry

The problem that I was having earlier has been fixed. Upped my rating to 4 stars!!!

Tom Lovell

OK, but I'd like to have a view of how things look in the print edition.

Ian Chessum

slow does not work well... slow often
