Download KMLZ to Earth apk 6.4 free for Android smartphone
Apk file size: 660.0 KB
KMLZ to Earth allows you to view KML and KMZ files on your Android device using Google Earth. If you are unable to view a KML or KMZ file or attachment in Google Earth, then this is the app that you need!
KMLZ to Earth allows you to browse through your local files to select a KML or KMZ file to display in Google Earth. It also allows you to view your saved email attachments in Google Earth.
In the Explorer activity, if you browse to a directory containing images with location information,
* Tap the file icon to view the photo closely
* Tap the file name to create a KMZ file
* Tap "View images to create KMZ" to create a KMZ file with the locations and images from multiple photos
In your email application, save the KML or KMZ file, and then tap it again to choose to view it with KMLZ to Earth.
Since Google Earth for Android doesn't seem to have published limits on file sizes, your success with files larger than 4MB may vary. Large files cause Google Earth to to load slowly, or if they are too large, not display them entirely. If this occurs, try to reduce the size of the images used or the number of images selected to create smaller KMZ files.
The size of the images shown in Google Earth decreases progressively as the total size of images are selected, in order to keep the total file size small enough to view on Google Earth for Android.
When creating a KMZ file, each image containing location information is shown as a thumbnail, along with the image name, time taken, resolution and size. Thumbnails can be tapped for a larger preview of the image. All, none, or individual files can be selected to create a KMZ file from images in one directory.
DO NOT PUT SPACES OR OTHER STRANGE CHARACTERS IN FILE NAMES! LETTER, NUMBER, UNDERSCORE, PERIOD, AND HYPHEN CHARACTERS ALLOWED. ANY ILLEGAL CHARACTERS WILL BE REPLACED WITH UNDERSCORES.
File names must end in ".jpg", ".kml", ".kmz" to be visible to view in KMLZ to Earth, and capitalization does not matter.
Files that you select to view are copied to the "Home" directory, typically /mnt/sdcard/kmlz. WARNING! Any file that does not end in ".kml" or ".kmz" will be deleted automatically from this directory, or when you choose to use Menu, Clear Home, and confirm.
The Home button will take you quickly to the /mnt/sdcard/kmlz directory (or a similar path) to see which files you have previously viewed, and view them again.
This app can't be set as default for any action, if you try, then it will reset itself. This ensures you the choice of action always and prevents a possible undesirable loop.
If experiencing problems with Google Earth, use the Menu, Manage Earth, and either Force Stop, Clear Data, or Clear Cache. Clear Cache is very helpful to get accurate results if you are testing the same file name multiple times.
Likewise, if experiencing problems with KMLZ to Earth, use the Menu, Manage KMZL, and either Force Stop, Clear Data, or Clear Cache.
This application runs a web server on your device at http://localhost:8001/ to serve pages from it's "Home" directory to Google Earth. In order to do this, it will have a running process in the background. A notification will be issued to remind you that this process is running. If you view the notification, then you return to the application, where pressing back will allow you to terminate the application and the background web server process.
Improved handling of illegal characters in file names causing "Not Found" error.
Major update to appearance and function of all activities and dialogs bringing improved performance and usability.
New landscape layouts with improved usage of space created for both Explorer and Creator activities.
Individual photos with EXIF information now appear in Explorer activity allowing KMZ files to be created easily for a single photo.

Great app! I've been struggling to get my Google earth stuff from my computer to my phone. I wish they made it sync. As soon as I tried this app, my maps/routes pulled up on my phone instantly. Great app!!
Only way That I could get android to export navionics tracks to google earth on mh samsung s3 - though a bit convoluted!
multiple kmz's not possible Easy to use but I cannot load multiple KMZ's in Earth (ver 7.1). The loaded kmz disappears everytime I add a new file. Any solution for this?
very useful during trip finally I can play my track in tablet. btw, how to hide point or hide the line?
Not working on HTC one S I am trying to use this to view a .kml I generated on my pc and can view with Google earth on there. There are no spaces or numbers or strange characters in the file name but I still get the "not found" error on my phone with it. Please help!
Multiple KMZ not possible I gave some problem as others, only if I could add multiple KMZ it would be 5 stars
Wow. It appears to work. I downloaded a KML file from a site I frequent often and this app actually displayed it in my tablet's watered down version of Google Earth. But it would be nice if I could just tap on the KML file and have the app recognize it instead of getting the "No applications can perform this action" message. (Extending the functionallity to GPX files would be good too.)
Great Could do, what I wanted. Can load personal map along with GPS location, on the go. Tried many other methods, this one is unmatched when clubbed with Google Earth.
Cool !!! This will open KML or KMZ files stored in the SD card or built in memory, this works good.
Email doesn't send attachment. I just wanted to email off some files and the attachments never get sent. It seems like this would've come up before. I'm running a 2.3 phone. I also tried on my 4.0 phone same thing email attachments don't get sent.
Fail Tried to import KML to Google Earth and it fails. GE keeps crashing, do the makers actually read their mail ?
Working perfectly! Only app that can show my kml in Google Earth just like you can see on PC! Just perfect! I uploded some polygons and grids and it doesnt look weird like it does in the other kml apps. It looks the same as in PC! Can't be happier!
Dont Bother Doesn't actually work. I imported the .kmz file but Google Earth only shows the location, no pointer, nothing. Don't bother.
Crashes Nexus 4, requiring reboot Uninstalled ... didn't display U.S. placemarks either, but insisted on a tour of Paris when opening my kml file. Phone had to be rebooted several times due to complete system failure.
Did exactly what I was looking for We have some custom .kmz files that we built at work, and we were unable to load them in a phone for testing. Kept getting a "Not found:" error. Used this as an in between program and it loaded it perfectly. Just what I was looking for.
Works like a charm Couldn't open any KML files until I discovered this app. The local server and emailed file both seem to work flawlessly.
It works! Sweet Zombie Jesus that GUI..... but it works!!
Excellent Point and click. Easily imported the tracks that I created with my hiking GPSr. Now I have my backpack hikes on GE android. Galaxy Tab 7.
Doesn't work at all Great idea, always loads Google earth, then hangs, then returns to kmlz app, 5 stars if it simply played the files that work on desktop
A very useful app The KMLZ to Earth Explorer app worked a treat. I installed the KMLZ app (on the phone) and then I uploaded three KML files onto Google Drive (on the PC) and then it is dead easy to go to GE on the phone and then open Google Drive select the relevant KML file and within seconds it shows as an overlay on the phone GE. Fantastic! Thanks!
Excellent app u git 2 try it now.
Fc on new nexus 7 Fc when extracting the kml
Brilliant Sell to google and have a nice long holiday! Only improvement would be a way to view multiple KML or KMV files.
Doesn't work. Every time trying to extract kmz file to view in google on my tablet app keeps on crashing and stops working then closes down. Prgram does not work!
Thank you very much Now i got the answer
Thanks Still the best working with Google Earth for Android
Exactly what I was looking for!!! 5 stars Thank you!! Exactly what I was looking for!!! 5 stars Thank you!!
Latest GE update messed it up? Having trouble adding multiple KMZ's now...since the latest GE update. Add one, the previous one disappears.
App It should be good
Just got It's cool
Very helpful application, love it
The application doesn't work Appears an error when I try to open my files
Not working It gives the same error as Google Earth when you open a kmz with a picture overlay. Uninstalled.
How too get were ya whant Just put. Town range section
Didn't worked for me..
It's stopped working, and in possible to delete old files, and does not record new files, ,,,was working grate
Did not work, just like GE, 1/2 the time it crashes, and 1/2 the time nothing is displayed. I can see the KMZ overlay just fine on the desktop version of GE, just not on the GE version 7 or 8 on my Samsung S5 phone
Doesnt work Installed and selected a kml file of 514kb. Opted to open in GE. GE opened and nothing happened after that. Map not visible on GE.
Will be trying it...
