Jupiter Simulator (previously know as JoveMoons) is an astronomy app that shows the location of the four largest Jupiter moons, and the Great Red Spot.
All positions can be shown in real time, or in faster animation. You can set the clock to other times in the future or past.
You can navigate in three dimensions, and zoom in and out. The orbits of the moons can be made visible. Information on the nature of the satellites is given.

Helps plan when to take pictures I like to get the moons close and the great red spot facing my way in photos, this lets me know the best time to bring out the camera and scope.
Great for the Observational Astronomer By Jove, this is a great app! Now I know when the Great Red Spot transits Jupiter's disk. Accurate moon positions. A real keeper.
Great app to learn about planets an specifically jupiter an its satilites great gui graphical user interface good sources too Beautiful design great sources easy to use app / guide on planet Jupiter an its satilites actually tought me somthing its very fascinating also tells u when the jupiter hurricane is close an days an times it arrives good work on app great user interface easy to use especially of u like science an planets
Jupiter's moon's and planet face Great app that helps me to plan an observing session with my C8
Really useful and easy to use Very useful to see moons positions, shadow and great red spot transits.
Great app Fantastic animation. Great for explaining movement of Jupiter and its moons as well as planning observing session!!
Nice app I want to see live space please help me thanks
Tony Gordon Fantastic idea, great graphics, being able to move everything around then put back to their current position is a real plus. Now ,when viewing , the 4 moons can be identified easily.
Excellent app! This is exactly what I have been looking for. Keep up the fantastic work.
Found the GRS! I finally found an app that let me find the Great Red Spot in real time!
Great apps This is very good application for students. I LIKE IT
Only drawback is the photos of Jupiter need updating as features on Jupiter do change. Very nice app
Great app Very accurate time wise, let's me easily plan my imaging sessions
Solid app. Wish it had more zoom features and info on the moons of Jupiter.
Great app, easy to use. I use this little app each and every time I go out to look at Jupiter. Easy to plan observation session of the planet.
great visual aid! Great way to visualize the planet and the lunar orbits of the Galelian moons. A wonderful educational device!
Needs to show more moons.
Great My non astronomy friends love it!
Very nice for student
Great app! Very handy for the home astronomer
A lot of good and accurate information. I will certainly be downloading this for my grandchildren.
Awesome app. Useful at the scope. Also runs flawless on BlackBerry OS10.2.1 Very smooth and well thought out app.
Animation didn't work. Basic information. Kind of a dud!
Amazing app Keep the great job. I can't wait for the updates. Awesome!!!!
Great app It works flawlessly
Both pretty and accurate The app looks graphically great and provides useful, accurate information. Recommended
Great app Really good app. Only thing I'd like to suggest as an improvement is the ability to change the view to inverted and/or mirror reflected to match eyepiece views through all telescope configurations.
Does what it says on the tin ...
Simple and useful Pretty simple to use and ad free
Happy with this app at the moment
Simple and effective.
It was ok NOTHING much spectacular though
Useful Needs to have time manual entry.
Does its job, very happy with it. I'd never been aware of seeing the Great Red Spot, so having this app available meant I could plan my session with that in mind. Did exactly what I wanted.
I'd never been aware of seeing the Great Red Spot, so having this app available meant I could plan my session with that in mind. Did exactly what I wanted. Just downgraded it to 2 stars because the adverts are really intrusive. Noisy, Long, Unwanted. This is a great app, horribly spoiled by adding adverts.
Very good I really like this to plan viewing. I would also suggest being able to invert image for telescope view. The one major issue I have is when forward or reverse with finger swipe in small increments on screen the clock doesn't update with the moon positions. I would like to be able to find a frame such as when a moon is in middle of transition or two moons eclipse each other and then see what time that is viewable.
Simple clean and easy to use. Quick and easy to see what's happening at Jupiter. Would like it even more if you could freeze the viewing angle so we could zoom in without accidentally changing the angle. Love that it shows the GRS accurately as well as the moons.
Excellent App This is a very simple clearly understood app for seeing what happens with Jupiter and it's Moons. A way of flipping the FOV to suit different telescopes and eyepieces would be a good upgrade, plus seeing the shadows of the Moons on the disc of Jupiter would be a nice add on too or you could miss seeing a shadow transit by not knowing about them. All in all one of the best
Beautifully simple. It really helps me plan my photography sessions.
Excellent app. Very accurate.
Nice bit of work. However not totally useful for astronomy. The perspective is from near Jupiter and not Earth. Still good for the GRS though. And free so can't complain Nice bit of work. However not totally useful for astronomy. The perspective is from near Jupiter and not Earth. Still good for the GRS though. And free so can't complain. Also it slips a lot. The controls are a bit fiddly on my phone.
Does exactly what I want This little app is simple to use and does exactly what I wanted. It shows Jupiter and it's moons as they are and let's you run a simulation of their positions in the future. You can see when the next sighting of the great red spot as well. Jupiter is my favorite planet and this is one of my favorite apps now.
Love the app, wish I could lock perspective to now I love the app, useful to show newbies what they are looking at... I really wish to "reset perspective" button want hidden, and there was a way to lock the perspective to live, so I could zoom in and out freely without worry.
Excellent observing aid. I am now able to identify the individual major moons of Jupiter with this handy app.
Awesome app This app is great for my lesson at school learning about mars and other planets
Neat app I installed the app a while ago to show someone what I saw through a telescope and it was great. Opened it some months later and there is an obnoxious flashing white ad telling me my device's memory is full. Not only is it a scam ad, but it ruins the great experience of the app. I'm not against monetizing apps, but this severely degraded the app. I did notice an option for in-app purchase as I uninstalled, so maybe you can purchase a way to remove ads. Dev, you might want to let users know this.
Does what it does well I was wondering when I could look through my telescope and see the Great Red Spot. Now I know :) And nicely presented to. I reckon a reset button would be great.
PERFECT: It's indispensable for planning an astro photo session.
