With the recent introduction of the Ingress game mechanics of regional scoring, fields active during checkpoints that occur every 5 hours contribute to the regional score. This app calculates how a newly created field will affect that regional score at the next checkpoint.
There is no need to set any checkpoint times, simply enter the current regional score and the size of the new field (in MU) that is to be calculated. The app will then show you how the new field will change the regional score at the upcoming checkpoint (and all following checkpoints until the end of the cycle).
The absolute predictions will only be accurate if no other portals are destroyed or created until the checkpoint. However the relative impact (MU / regional score shift) should be correct at all times. These changes will only become effective if the field is active during the checkpoint time.

Enter these values and the app will tell you that if you create this field it will raise the regional score by 17857 if it is live during the next checkpoint and to a total of 312659 if it is not destroyed before the end of the cycle.
This calculator is not associated with Ingress or Niantic / Google and is not an official tool distributed by these companies. It can be used separately and does not interfere with the Ingress game client.

Nice Great for what it does do. But I'd like it to do more. I'd like the ability to enter a score per checkpoint in order to calculate trends. For example, If a score were decreasing each checkpoint... the ability to calculate the projected, final, cycle score...
