Great stable app I wish It stayed logged in when you exit the app. I was going back and forward between banking and emails and had to log back in every time I went back to banking. (Timed log out? After 10min or something). and landscape for tablets please.
Best mobile app ever! I'm very impressed with ing direct after I used this app. It thought of things I didn't consider and made banking so much easier! I hope ing thrives and stays in business a very long time. They deserve it.
More features than I expected Lots of extra features I didn't expect, eg you can choose to display your balance without logging in. It's also very easy to flip between accounts.
Keeps Crashing when trying to transfer money between accounts Generally works well for BPAy and sending money to other banks. However never works when trying to move money between my ING accounts. Have cleared cache Data etc and re installed. just always crashes on this option. This is on a ONe + One running android. Fix this and i will be a happy man
Londo Very good, reliable and stable. To date, the best banking application i have used. Never had a problem. The model for other bank's. It is however optimized for smart phone screens and NOT tablets. Overall, a very good app, attractive AND user friendly.
Lost a star for security change Great new app but you lost a star from me because the security entry is a standard keypad not the original random placed number keypad
Needs tweaking... Get rid of the Log In button. All banking apps let you in once you've entered your last PIN digit. And the "Are you sure you want to log off?" buttons are the wrong way around. Again, the standard is Yes/OK on the right and No on the left. Otherwise good app.
Good but strange perms Why does ING need device I'd permission in the latest version?

Works well. Well built app. Glad to see the ads they used to serve on the welcome screen are gone too. Most of the stuff you can do on the web site you can do via the app as well. Very convenient!
Landscape mode Please allow the app to work in landscape mode for tablets with keyboards. It is difficult to read everything sideways!
Works better than ANZ and Citibank apps I've got accounts with ANZ and Citibank and their apps are disgusting compared to this one. Gonna switch over my salary and direct debits to ING.

Best banking app I've used Recently switched to ING and this app is clearly better than my previous bank's mobile app. A lot more user friendly and nice features such as displaying my balances without having to log in.

hate that it asks to open new account this latest update is overt pushy sales...I log on to check my accounts not to open new accounts. and if I wanted to do that it should not be the frist thing on the menu.

Keeps crashing Every time I try to log in this app dumps me straight out saying unfortunately the app has stopped working. Tried uninstalling and re-installing but not working. This is on a HTC one, same thing happens on my wife's galaxy s4.

Great Banking App The only thing that annoys me about this app is the ad that appears upon logging out. The app should just exit when logging out, not show an ad.
Update: unstable and worrying trends This frequently crashes since the update and seeks too many permissions for a very simple banking app. Looks awful on tablets and while ok on my phone, worked better on my work iphone.
Topnotch banking app … but I love this app so much I also want to be able to use it on my Android tablet but Google Play Store informs that the app is not compatible with my device. Boo hiss!

Awesome banking app The only thing I don't like about this app is the tendency to crash for no blindingly obvious reason. I love the ease of use and ability to see all my important banking info at a glance. Transferring money and sending confirmation of transfers is a breeze. I love so many things about this app - fix the crashes and you will be 5 stars, no problems at all.
[Fixed] Is currently unusable on my Galaxy S6. It crashes every time I try and look at my bank account. It was a fantastic app, and I'll happily change my review once this problem has been resolved.
Easy to use, very smooth UI For five stars make this app linkable to Android Wear so I can check my balance from my wrist. The Commbank app does this perfectly.

SMS codes disabled Can't use it suddenly. App just keeps popping up the error "SMS codes have been temporarily disabled for security reasons."

Excellent!!! Now, in over 40 years of banking in Australia, NO BANK comes even close to ING, and I've tried probably half of those still around, and many who aren't around any more. This app encompasses everything ING is about. Simple, helpful, compact, efficient, progressive. Just plain brilliant!

Good app but NFC please! Commbank has brought out its NFC payments and it's fantastic. If ING brings out NFC I'll give this app (and this bank, always recommending it to others) 5 stars straight away.

Glitch Fix Pretty good app and does what it does although I have to say the iOS version looks way better! For those of you having problems logging in like the glitch etc, just clear the ING app cache and uninstall the app and reinstall again. I did that once and never had any issues for over a month now.
Waiting for NFC pay wave function via phone The app is pretty good but lacking the pay wave NFC function so that a smartphone can be directly used for payment transactions e.g. like CBA can do. This is actually more secure than the physical card if your phone is properly secured.
Okay app with some bugs This app does the job. However it regularly crashes on start-up and at other random times. It quite often reports having a "glitch" on start-up and that the bank is "working" on it. I get sick of waiting so I uninstall/ reinstall the software just to get it back-up and running. All this is quite concerning for a bank that is totally online. Traditional banks have far better mobile platforms than these guys.
Worst app and developer team The worst bank system ever. They said it shown glitch on my app because the app doesnt support 4.4.2. And i tried on my other android, and it works and that device also run 4.4.2. And i told them, and the customer service said that what information that they received from the developer team when they are investigating the app. What a waste!!!!
Easy to use by first timer but menu could be easier to understand, not as easy as the website but good when you get the hang of it. Very basic banking.
I haven't been to a bank is years. You can do all your banking from the comfort of home with this app (except for people that send you checks).
Can't login Constant error messages about a glitch , uninstalled and reinstalled no luck , called the number to be told no known problem and sen me a link to re install from that. Done and still doesn't work. Get it together your a bank ffs.
Ok. Needs work though. Trying to pay $215 but it ays it needs to be a "value equal to or less than 999999.99" ! Ludicrous! Its great that you can check balances without logging in, but it lacks convenience when you have to wait for the loading screen lion to slide in. Slow & unnecessary. Shrink the icon size to fit the material design guidelines. Its humongous next to my other apps. Needs NFC payments. And when I go to pay someone, I shouldn't have to wait to download all the accounts I've paid to before. Store it locally instead

Seems that if you uninstall then reinstall but not set pre-login balance update to show the app may be usable. 24 hours so far.
Glitch Error Galaxy Note 2 Not able to log in - Glitch Error. Smooth app at the start to be fair, just useless that I can't log in
Cant set up with an overseas mobile number I couldnt even set up the app to use it because it wants my mobile number to send secure codes to. I dont have an Aussie mobile number and it wouldnt accept my overseas number. Useless when traveling.
Needs search function Also, glitchy. Scrolling up and dates have been replicated - jumps from Oct to Nov and back to Oct.
ING PAY ME!!! :-) Love it. Simple, FAST, and does all I need when not at a PC. Very nearly as complete as the full PC app but the omissions are meaningless as my mobile browser could be used but this app adds security by preventing eg a new pay anyone from being easily created. If my phone is lost with the app open (I'm not silly!!) as far as I can determine, all this mystery user could do is pay my bills or transfer between my accounts!
Way to go We almost need weekly updates with new features .. The releases notew does not say whats new features in current version. ING does not have credit card products and they need to integrate that as well ...

Ing does not work, glitch Installed app, comes up with glitch after one or two logins, reinstalled app twice, cleared cache once, did not work, rang ing and installed their linked app, did not work. Worst banking app I have used and I regularly use another 3. Very disappointing as I regularly bank online.
Pretty standard, nothing special For a bank that is entirely online I expected something a little fancier. There are other banking apps out there with cardless payments that would make this app top notch. It is nice to be able to see account details like interest rates and rebates all in one place.
Glitches often but when it works its good Quite often the app says there's been a glitch when I try to log in. If this could be fixed ASAP it would be fantastic as otherwise the app is easy to use!
NFC payment needed This app has been great. Nowadays other banks already integrated NFC into apps. You guys need to catch up.
Easy to use Secure way to do your basic transactions and move your money around in your ING accounts. Easy to use. Have never had a problem with it and have used it for years. Thoroughly recommend both this app and this bank.
I think it's great app. Just would recommend to add finger print log in optio as on iOS device.
Frustrating Takes about 10 attempts before being able to log in. Keeps saying "Glitch ". Once in, it is pretty good.
The app crashes every 3 days. I unisntall, then reinstall and set it up again, it works for 3 days and then crashes again. Fairly annoying but I keep doing it so I can check my bank balance
Needs material design Speed enhances are great. Visuals not so much. Ugly textures on num pad keyboards that originated from god knows where.

Started getting sms marketing messages shortly after I installed this app. It might be a clever marketing ploy since most people check out an incomming sms almost straight away. Dunno about you, but for me it isn't clever at all, and it's completely unacceptable. Maybe I missed it in the small print. I wonder what else is in there.
A very handy app indeed! So easy to use and keeps me instantly up to date with how much I can spend! They seem to have thought of everything I would need in a banking app.

Takes 4+ minutes to open! Even after long awaited update this app still glitches on login and when it doesnt its even slower to open than before! Its faster to check transactions n tranfers n payments using phone banking! Not happy.
Considering buying iPhone to get away from this app Omg where to even begin. Cannot log out for one second to check an account number without having to go right back to the login. No option to give same description on yours and creditors bank statement, you have to type it out twice. Pending transactions don't show up in the account screen, they are hidden in a separate drop down menu. There's more, I could go on all day. Why make it so different to the iphone app? Get your shiz together ING. I've had enough of this orange-flavoured horse pizzle.
Mobile problem worked great on tablet The log out button and access to email buttons don't work on my mobile, there were no problem using my tablet computer. Will uninstall until fixed.

Looks nicer but less practical Recent update makes it hard to login. The pin code digits you enter are now really really tiny.

Problem with latest update HEY ING YOUR LATEST UPDATE IS A FAILURE!! See message from kbpchan168 and numerous other users flagging the same issue. Since I updated, I have been unable to transfer from my linked bank account to my corresponding ING one. A red message appears telling me there are insufficient funds - there aren't, and anyway ING wouldn't know how much there is in my other bank account. The reverse transaction, from ING to linked bank account, works fine. Sony Xperia Z3 compact .
Can't log in after the last update It was a nice app but after the recent update I can't log in to my accounts. Looks like will need to change the bank until this issue is solved.
The app looks nicer, but hasn't fixed the annoying login steps. If I open the app, of course I want to login - why do I have to waste time confirming this a further 2 times? Logging out is much faster now though, thanks.
Good but login numbers too tiny Login numbers are too tiny in last update. Otherwise, intuitive UI, fast, stable, secure. Lots of payment options. You can even edit your address book. Would like to be able to download statements as well.
Beautiful design! NFC support needed! Changing my review because the new look and feel is fantastic! It's finally updated and if looks amazing, thanks for the long overdue visual upgrade. Next step is to make it compatible with nexus imprint fingerprint login and NFC for in store purchases!

Dont like the new app layout. Please revert back to the previous app layout. The new login page is better but the new general layout is stail and worse on the tablets.
The windows app needs considerable work to bring up to this standard. 26/2/16- update has made small changes which make it even easier to use.

Best Banking App I've Used Works flawlessly. Nothing to complain about and everything to love. It's a shame other banks can't make a similiar effort with their apps.
Does what it needs to Looks nice, everything seems to be where it needs to be for what I use it for. Although, Following the recent update the smaller login numpad is a bit of a step backwards. Not a big issue, just annoying.
Brilliant New layout is OK, preferred old layout with pending transactions instead of having to scroll through last few days of transactions.

App Issue I just updated the app, and I'm still having problems with not being able to log in. I can log in just fine in a web browser, and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, and still no luck. Please fix this!
Linked account transfers now don't work Recent update no longer allows me to make transfers from my linked account into the ING account.
I love this app I really like ING and this app is just another thing to love. So quick and easy to use. Still waiting for ING to give me NFC access to my n money though.... next step hopefully.
Good app, but... After the most recent update, it's impossible to transfer funds from an external account into one of the ING accounts. It says "insufficient funds". Greatly appreciate if this could be fixed.
Getting better with every update Better font and cleaner design in the latest update. Login buttons a bit small as mentioned in other reviews. Would be nice to have a version optimised for tablets as well.

I use this app regularly, the interface is much better than the data ING website. However there's a couple of things I would like to see improved before I would award 5 stars: 1. Fingerprint support, 2. Less steps to transfer between accounts (it currently takes a minimum of 7), and 3. Support for NFC payments.
Great bank awesome app. Works very quickly. Smooth and easy to navigate. Using spacing and layout very well so i can quickly check transactions.

Great app that's constantly getting updates Credit to the ing team, this app does the job you'd expect of a banking app, it's rarely down for maintenance or issues. Instead of just leaving it at that, the app regularly gets updates to fix issues or introduce new features. Happy customer here.
The apps not working all day?? Everytime I try to login today I get this pop up saying sorry etc and to try again later..that ing will have things up and running soon..what's going on??please fix thanks
Will not log me in Since I updated this app it will not let me log into it. Not helpful in the slightest. Never had issues before but this is now 4 days with no mobile access grrrr
Usually good but cannot login in Never had an issue with the app before but like the other reviews previously I have been unable to log into the app. My phone is a samsung galaxy s6. Any timeframe on when this will be fixed? It's been easily 7 days since it was last working.
It was great and get worse The old app was the best banking app I ever had. But with every update they screw around with graphics and functions. What's the reason not to leave it how it is? I will use it because I'm customer but it would be nice to ask the customers first they want more functions. Or leave the old version running.
Great for information, but beware editing transfers/payments Very good in general, but there's an issue editing transfers/payments... The scenario: I have an existing scheduled repeating transfer from account A to account B. The app allows me to edit this payment so that it is now from account C to account A. However, the transfer will fail to take place, future repeats will fail to be created and, as the transfer has a historic scheduled date, it is no longer possible to delete it within the app... The lesson: if you need to edit, delete and recreate.
Usable The app is generally very good and useful however after updating to a new phone i was disappointed to find that instead of just being able to put my pin in i had to go through the whole process of trying to find my customer number etc which is not that easy to find. I realize this is a security thing but it is frustrating.
UNUSERABLE SINCE LATEST UPDATE What's happened? I can't even use this app for my banking!!! It says enter my access code, so I do, but then within 2 seconds it brings up a notice informing of a glitch. ING, Are you please able to fix this glitch?
Usually great! Buy today no matter how many times I've tried logging in I keep getting "glitch" "try again shortly we are trying to fix this" my mum's not had a problem all day! So why am I?! My apps up to date and never had a problem before. Please fix!

Few missing features and bugs It's OK at basics but I couldn't find a simple way to share my account details with friends like some other bank's apps. Also, the "description of scheduled transaction - what I'll see" doesn't get saved.
Convenient banking app I usually have no problems with this app. It's convenient and easy to use. The only thing I'd want in addition is the ability to change savings plans through the app. However, I haven't been able to log in or view the account balances on the home page for about a month now; upon trying to log in, it says to call or close and try later. Hoping for an update to fix the issue soon!

Keeps crashing I love this App when it works but it keeps crashing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times but it always crashes after a couple of logins.. I'm using a Moto G 4g first gen on Android 4.4
Ridiculous update for the app!! Since the latest update, everytime I try and login it comes up with a message saying there is a glitch. The only way I can login is to uninstall and reinstall the app. I have done this about 10 times now and am only able to login 2 or 3 times. This is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!! I have been in contact with the ING support team and they have no knowledge of this problem.

Easy to use but could be better The user interface is relatively intuitive, although it could use some improvement when it comes to making transfers--the wah the accounts show up is confusing. I would also love to see NFC payments with my mobile. A lot of other banks have this now, and this would make ING the perfect bank!
Ridiculous I had the problem where it wouldn't let me log in at all because of some glitch. Have re installed the app numerous times and it only worked for a day or two before having to uninstall and re download the app. Contacted ING and there support team pretty much denied the app having any issues and one customer service officer even said (my app works fine). I believed I was the only person with the issue untill reading these reviews....disgusting
Can't access the account anymore For some reason i can no longer access my account. It keeps saying that there is a glitch in the login. I would now give this a zero if I could.
Used to be a great app, but I now constantly receive the "Glitch" error. Unable to see account balances or log in to the app. This has been the case for the past couple of weeks, have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it makes no difference. This is a very disappointing experience from ING Direct, which has always set the benchmark in customer service and innovation in the banking industry. To leave so many loyal, yet, unhappy customers stranded without a solution or acknowledgment of the issue is not good business practice. I really don't think the 1 star rating is deserved.
Does not work Can't log in. An error screen declaring there's a temporary glitch has been showing for a week now! Not good enough. Fix it!

Very impressed, good on my Xperia Very user friendly. No more crashes, log in is fast, transfers are easy now. Feel very secure with set up. Do all my banking on the phone not laptop now lol time saving
Numeric keyboard The numbers are too small to read without my glasses. I also use the Westpac app and the numbers are much easier to read...so I can log on and check my balance with my glasses.
So much nicer now The app has had a bunch of improvements over the past few updates and it's so much nicer now!
Great app!!! Fantastic app and on par with the major 4 banks.... one question though, when will ING bring out the feature of paying using NFC using our phones NFC?
Simple and functional This app is a great example of how to keep things simple and clean, yet provide all the information and services to the user. I love it.
Request for more features As a customer of CommBank as well as ING, I would love to see more CommBank app features implemented - for instance, the ability to pay to a friend or colleague's mobile number instead of their bank account number; cardless ATM feature, and integration with whatsapp (to notify friends of payments made).
Its not working on my S5. Keeps saying ERROR Glitch. Been like this for 6days now and counting

Good banking app but no NFC One of the cleaner banking apps I have used. Shows up pay waves quickly. Really needs mobile phone tap & go NFC Technology to keep up with other banks.
Glitches Been 2 days no access to app due to "glitch we are working on"... Sony z5. Otherwise looks great, with gr8 features and would give more stars.

SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!! Why can't I access the ING app? My money's trapped! I've deleted and downloaded it several times to try resolve the error with no such luck and I'm not a fan of phonecalls. I'd like to see this resolved quickly please.
Pretty standard banking app. I'd recommend adding paywave on it like the comm bank app (as that's the only reason my partner is staying with them) and a search bar to search for particular transactions.
Great App Easy to use.. Like that you can check balance without logging in..!! Can easily transfer funds between accounts which is a must for me.. Have now abandoned B.O.Q mobile app as they are to hard to use now.
Good app but Hopefully pull the top to refresh app is not really material design and could be improved using the new way android provides.
Address book bugs. Since latest app update, address book does not show up to select a payee when trying to set up a recurring payment. Please repair asap :(
ATTENTION GLITCH, I HAVE A FIX! Those of you who updated to Marshmallow or the app just stopped working you have to reset your app data in settings and delete the cache! This will set the app back to default and set up for your phone/tablet configuration.
Will not log me in 26/03 Since I updated this app it will not let me log into it. Not helpful in the slightest. Never had issues before but this is now 4 days with no mobile access grrrr UPDATE: STILL CAN'T LOG IN! AND IT'S THE 4/6 NOW GRRRRRR
Winning at mobile banking. Yet again, the best banking app ever! I'm loving that pending transactions show up in place. Interface is fast and clean! Looking forward to android pay soon!!!! ;)
Nice Great app design. Lacking NFC payments however. Another great feature would be app notifications for payments sent/received, but obviously configurable for those that don't want them.
Reliable App with Safe Update. This app maintained its reliability after the recent update. It's well set out, making it very user friendly and able to do everything you need to do while out & about.
Can't login Constant error messages about a glitch , uninstalled and reinstalled no luck , called the number to be told no known problem and sen me a link to re install from that. Done and still doesn't work. Get it together your a bank ffs.
App doesn't work Used to work perfectly fine, but the last 2 weeks it won't open. Just says "sorry we should have things up and running shortly". Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and still no good.

Keeps crashing This app is terrible. It continually fails telling me that they have a glitch and to call the telephone banking. Only an uninstall and reinstall solves the problem... temporarily until it happens again
I couldn't log in for days Kept saying there was a problem and that ing was working on fixing it. After reading some of the reviews I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling it, which seems to have fixed the problem in this case. However I do not want to have to do that everytime there is an issue. Ing have great banking products, don't ruin it by not having good technology to match!
Simple... But too simple Desperatly needs an option to filter transactions. I dont always want to see those paywave rebates, its just noise and clutter. Needs an option to hide them.
Good but crashes a lot Too many app crashes even on a high end android device. I had to consistently try 2 -3 times to get over it. Seriously guys please compare it with commbank app for reference. Commbank is easily the best banking app in Australia
Glitches after reinstall I'm a fan of ING as a bank, and iOS app is ok, but if you install Android and then have to get a different device and reinstall from your account - you're stuck my friends, it will glitch out and won't let you log in. I reported this issue like 2 months ago and they do nothing to fix it. Not impressed.
Needs NFC Need to update app to incorporate NFC payments but awesome bank. Other banks already have it as part of their apps now & samsung pay is live.
Efficient and User friendly Credit to ING for ensuring the app is available 247. Hardly ever do I encounter downtime or any issues.
Can't paste login details from enpass Typing and visually exposing credentials is so 2000.
Lot of bugs since last update This used to be the best phone banking app but ever since the last update it "glitches" whenever i do anything. Takes 2-3 times to log on. Glitches when i make a transfer and the app doesnt update to show the change. I need to log out then log back in to see the change. This needs to be fixed ASAP.
Why fix something that is not broken? Good bank, good services but rubbish app. New app needs to be re-installed and re-validated via SMS every time when there is a "glitch". Ever since the option to view account balance without logging in there has been trouble. Other Android users review suggests this is clearly a software error beacuse it doesn't happen on the iPhone. Please fix it or revert back to the old version.
Awesome App! App works really well, but some additional features would be handy: * Hide the balance of your accounts when minimising the app so it can't be seen from the app drawer, or briefly on reopening before being prompted to login again, * add an option to disable the 'are you sure' prompt when logging out, and * add the ability to send messages from the app.
App does not work App crashes each time on Samsung S5. Phone is running it's latest version. Support seems non existant except to say reinstall it (kinda obvious really) but that makes no difference. Very disappointed at the silence from these people after initial contact.

Android Pay! So glad. Thanks for the email as well which explained the setup process... not sure I would have realised that there's a separate app called Android Pay otherwise. Would have preferred to use Samsung Pay, but it's probably all the same anyway. Was a happy user during my iPhone days and still am now that I've switched back to Android.
How many times i need to register There seems to be problem with App. Initially when i installed the app i understand that i need to register. But what the hell it worked only for few days and asked me to register again. And this has happened so many times that i have registered more than 15 times on same android phone. Please fix it.
Good if it works Won't let me log in. Says there's a glitch. I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times but nothing changes. So all is doing is wasting space now.
At last a great app After a long wait finally a good app I love the option to check balance without having to log in. Awesome. But would like it to move to landscape on my tablet. minus 1 star still no landscape.

Missleading There is no option anywhere in the app to register your card for paywave, I've spend 20 mins to try and find it after the update which is an obvious indication that it isn't productive for 2016 life style. (25/08/16) I did download the Android pay but it still does not work.
OMG! So Excited! Has almost everything! Can use Android Pay, view accounts easy, make all your regular transactions, see Super. The User Experience is amazingly so simple and intuitive! Well done guys!

Can't get it started I keep getting a screen overlay error. I've turned off screen overlay for all apps but it doesn't fix this.
Android Pay! Used is a few times now and works well. Just have to hold your phone to the reader slightly longer. Awesome app and product.

OK app - needs fingerprint authentication, bug fixes and SMS payments The ING DIRECT app is almost the best banking app I've ever used. Since the past two versions, I'm experiencing an issue where the app will automatically reopen after the session times out, despite having left the app. Additionally, it would be great to see fingerprint authentication added to the app and support for ING Tywp SMS payments, which would be a brilliant addition to the app.
Best Bank App Right Now! Certainly the best bank app I have seen! But could do with some better reference features and would benefit from an add on like TD Bank in Canada has called "My Spend". If ING integrated a budget and auto category app like that, the whole experience would be awesome! Oh, also, stop letting the app take over my screen when it logs you out... very inconvenient.
The last 2 updates have made the app a piece of crap. Between the app just opening itself whenever it feels like it to not being able to transfer my own money between my accounts & getting completely stuck out without money its an absolute joke. Such a shame because it USED to be fantastic. My money is going elsewhere til you sort your crap out
Can't log in For a while now I can't seem to log into the app. It comes up with a notification that something is wrong but your onto it. I haven't seen any information about this on your website and I had assumed it would be fixed by now. I just updated my app thinking that would work, but with no luck. Looks like I'll be logging on via the website. Such a shame because prior to all the recent changes the app was excellent, easy to use and actually worked.
