Classics Loved the ff books back in the day . I remember every boy in school had them . my personal favourites are citadel of chaos , trial of champions , forest of doom , legend of zagor , tower of destruction , legend of the shadow warriors , armies of death , deathmoor , spellbreaker. Citadel of choas was my first . This seems like one of the tricky ones because I keep dying roundabout the same place all the time after the dogs . All in all great music great book look forward to more .
Need to roll own dice I would love to see the option to roll your own dice and enter the results. I never trust computer rolls. Other than that, excellent adaptation!
Finally! Brilliant adaptation but very hard to beat legit (although I think city of thieves was the only one I cleared legit back in the day!) Also it's a pity they didn't keep the same technique in finding the secrets (subtracting from page number etc) Anyway does anyone know how to get the alternative cover artwork?! Roll on next ff title. Ps you still have images of the iPhone and ipad in game. Please change!!!
I like the game a lot, but the fear mechanics are stupid. I mean, its a fear based game, yea, but the things you gain fear points from aren't even that mentally jarring. You practically gain fear points almost every scene, regardless of how frightening something like that actually would be.
Old school fun Wow...great to see the old school rpg books back.I love this one it really took me back.I thought it was the 80s again...lol...great job on bringing this back looking forward to getting more titles.
Not worth the money There us absolutely no way to reduce fear accumulation. The end result is always death in oy minutes. The game us render unstable and unenjoyable as a result.
An excellent choose-your-own-adventure puzzle/maze book This is somewhat similar to choose-your-own-adventure stories I read as a kid, but with many more dead ends. I would more equate it to a MAZE than to a puzzle. You have to get out a pen and paper and map out the game in order to navigate it. Quite fun. I originally gave this a horrible review, but I realize I've been playing it all wrong.
You've done it again Tin Man, another brilliant gamebook brought to our devices, I seriously like your work and that of the authors
A must-play gamebook on Android If I'm to recommend a gamebook to my friend, this would be my first choice.
Excellent Love the whole series and if there on offer I will buy them but the full price is a bit to expensive for me.
I'm young again My favorite childhood book collection. The nostalgia is awesome.
Brilliant Boy, this app sure does bring back memories. I read all these books back when I was a kid and am delighted to enjoy them again in this modern format. "House of Hell" was definitely a classic, and very difficult. Looking forward to "Deathtrap Dungeon" and others and would love to see the Lone Wolf series from these guys. Well worth the money. Brilliant implementation. Thank you!
Too punishing A complete lack of any form of balance.. The story is good and and the music adds to the mood, but having several options in a row all leading to death no matter what option you choose is ridiculous. Would love to see a game like this where you can make logical decisions that actually affect the outcome.
Nostalgia Just as good as Forest of Doom. A delight for an old timer like me who remembers this from the first time around.
I own the book, now I can play anywhere. Thankyou!
Thanks TM games for making these books available to a new generation. Another awesome addition to the FF series and a challenge to beat. I hope to see more soon. Keep up the fantastic work :)
Just played my first run. I died, of course, but I did enjoy the game. Highly recommend this one.
In spite of the cheesy title... This is actually really well written. It has been a long time since I had this much fun. In short this got me back into gamebooks and I can't wait to see more fighting fantasy games in the future!
Awesome til u die Art music story all awesome, but then u die for no reason. Like most of the FF games death seems totally random. You can win a hard fight, have the best gear and max luck stats, but still get game over by simply walking in the wrong door. While the easy mode let's u go back it's still not fair and ruins the experience.
Excellent Thank you ,keep up the good job
AMAZING Such a great transition keep it up guys, love the fighting fantasy books!
This game is exceptional I spent a lot of time playing these books in junior high but never have they come to life like this. The software adds another dimension and is very well executed. The fact that you can decide to play fair makes it all the better!
They just get better and better PSA: The intro has lots of flashing "lightning" strobe effects, for those who may be sensitive to flashing lights. You can really see how Tin Man has evolved from their first releases by looking at this gamebook. While the story itself wasnt one of my favs back in the day and still isnt, it has been beautifully rendered into electronic format.
Reminds me of those Hammer Horror Games Brilliant.
A trip down memory lane... This book still gives me the chills as it did when I was 10 years old. Probably one of the hardest FF books to complete!
Excellent Very happy to be able to possess this book again. I miss my old paperback collection I began collecting in kindergarden but glad fighting fantasy books are being made into apps
Good game Well worth purchasing
House of Hell Takes me back to the books still have some on the bookshelf Creature of Havoc was always my favourite
Really fun!!! Highly recommended
Perfect! Being my first ever FF book back in '84 I couldn't wait for this to release! TMG have the perfect game engine to do justice to the FF series, their own gamebooks are brilliant, so it's no surprises 'Book 10' is up there too! The choice of music is sublime! Fits in with the material superbly, feels like a true Hammer House movie!!! Roll on 'Book 3' (That's one for the true FF fans!) ...oh and for that true FF feel, play it in retro mode!
Wow Brings back great memories. Thanks!
Great nostalgia Brings back so many memories, still just as hard to finish today still have the paperbacks!
Another great tinman game!
Buggy but still enjoyable... Crashes frequently but very nostalgic.
Actually scary A book which is a game, that can stir my emotions and costs the price of a sandwich. Money well spent.
Not as good as the others... The conversion into digital form is a job well done however this is not the best FF. It is very short and linear and there is only 1 true path and lots of dead ends. Even the 'optional' rooms will likely lead to your death at some point from your fear getting too high, as you need a high fear score to win sticking to the right path as it is which is also unfair. I'd avoid this and recommend Assassins of Orlandes instead if your looking to get into game books!
Fighting Fantasy heaven An excellent conversion of the classic fighting fantasy gamebook with great 'directors cut' extras, looking forward to more FF books from tin man.
Great i really like though memory consumption is a little too high, even for device with more than 1gb ram. And since you renamed FoD, why don't you rename this one to FF:HoH?
A dream come true I've been waiting for the FF books I so enjoyed when I was young to make it to an electronic form. This is an amazing port of the book sticking to the original material and allowing the option to experience improvements or not.
Great! This is the third Fighting Fantasy adaptation that I have purchased from Tin Man Games. If you keep making them, I'll keep buying them. I'll also check out some of your non - Fighting Fantasy gamebooks, too.
Hard book to beat, please add maps in the future. That would have made it more interesting
Great Love the choose your on path games great game had no trouble with it
Not the Best Basically, in an attempt to avoid spoilers, practically every decision ends in death, and it gets to the point where there's really only 1 or 2 ways to beat the story which leaves you having to memorize the correct path each time. Some paths have 2 or 3 choices yet all end in game over, so entering that "door" or scenario is pointless because all roads lead to defeat. This to me ruins the replay-ability. Overall a decent FF port. Good music and story really shine here.
Classics Loved the ff books back in the day . I remember almost every boy in school had them . my favourites are citadel of chaos , trial of champions , forest of doom , legend of zagor , tower of destruction , legend of the shadow warriors , armies of death , deathmoor , spellbreaker , vault of the vampire , keep of the Lich lord , dead of night , warlock of firetop mountain.
Way too hard When results are not based upon logic but chance, we deserve some respite.
Great nostalgic fun, i used to own the original book when i was young. I hope to see more FF books converted to mobile games!
Oh, the nostalgia.
The first and best
One of the Classics This is one of the all time classics of the Fighting Fantasy series, and one that everyone should play. It's beautifully adapted to the Android platform.

A fun spookhouse romp with a broad, comic book feel, presented in a polished way.
House of Hell Takes me back to the books still have some on the bookshelf Creature of Havoc was always my favourite. Made the font to small and can't turn it back up again

More originals? You need to add more of the old books like Demons of the Deep and Freeway Fighter.
