Ham Radio Tools is a simple program that is to assist ham radio operators. Ham Radio Tools comes complete with a contact log and handy calculators and tables that will assist beginning ham operators and even the pros.

with Ham Radio Tools you can:
-look up callsign information!
-find current GPS location information
-save each contact to a log database stored on the phone
-review and edit each log entry
-search for keywords in different fields of the log entry
-calculate a simple quarter and half wave antenna length
-calculate the wavelength of a frequency
-many more

*** Now includes band limits for All Amateur Licenses ***

*** Calculators for Yagi, Dipole, J-pole, and Vertical antennas ***

*** Callsign Lookup is now included!!! ***

Callsign database is pulled from FCC website and updated daily! Callsign lookup works for U.S. callsigns ONLY.
Results include address, current and previous license updates, date of any updates, type and class of license, and even includes a link to the FCC database for even more details. Address can be mapped on Google Maps by tapping on the address.

The contact log allows you to store information about a completed contact including date, time started, time ended, frequency, mode, station, location, signal reports, and an area for general comments about the contact. A must for field day and general book keeping. Data and start time are filled in when starting the log to save time. End time can even be filled in automatically upon saving the log entry.

The contact log also comes with a handy search feature for quickly locating that one of a kind long distance contact you like to brag about. The search is focused on fields chosen by the user. If you want to search for a specific call sign select station as the search location and enter the call sign in the search box. Search keywords are CASE SENSITIVE meaning capital or lowercase letter DO matter.

A summary of the band limits for each class are included. Always refer to the official ARRL Band Plan when in doubt.

Some simple formulas and calculators are included for quick reference in the field and includes: Yagi, Dipole, J-Pole, Vertical antennas, and wavelength calculator.

Better than expected! I never waste my time reading things, but wow! I think this is one of the best apps I've ever gotten, and it is easier to use and has more features than I expected. I'm only in amateur, and even I can see how to use this! That's important to me. Some of these ham tools are so complicated, I don't even know what I'm looking at. This one is useful for the amateur to the extra.

Search for null Turning gps on in-app fails, shows all zeros. related: Searching for 'null' in google maps gives the nearest Null, as in someone named Null! And that aint right! Alos, put an exit in the app, please.

Poor Cannot Input Letters for call sign on Galaxy S2, so pointless. Uninstalled

Bob Partain

Pretty good for quick formulas Just be aware that the dipole calculator gives the FULL Wavelength. Just take the result and divide by 2. If the application writer could Change that so the results are for a half-wave dipole that we use in the real world and it would be better. Also add a database of common feedlines. Including velocity factor. Also the loss per hundred feet from the published tables. Otherwise thank you.

Id give it 5* Id give this 5* if it had UK bandplans. And able to export the logs. Other than that itd good

James Bates

Good It is good to record your logs digitaly. Shame I could only find a usa version of this app. I hope there are more regional versions of this app.

A Google User

Awesome app Would love a quick guide to common frequencies. Eg. National calling frequencies, common beacons, etc

A Google User

Michael Goodner

Great Works great and as advertised. I like being able to look up call signs to see who I am talking to.

Eddie Spaghetti

This one seems to be the best in this field.

Carsten Bauer

Great app but.. Great app but there should be a disclaimer about that band plans being applicable to people in the USA only, each country is different.

Great at first...then crashing Great app-lots of useful features, or so I thought at first. And then after the 3rd or 4th log entry, every time I would try to enter a call sign it would crash my Galaxy S3. Sad, it has such potential.

Occasion Brass

Almost everything a ham would need This is a great app. If it had repeater lookups and solar weather, if would be everything one would need in one package.

A Google User

Good program, but has some issues The only reason I couldn't go higher is because the callsign lookup is not correct.

A Google User

AWESOME APP Lacking only repeater data for 5 stars! 73's! KD5JTC

A Google User

The only thing that could make this app better is a repeater search/lookup. Hands down the most useful android ham tool.

A Google User

Info not current Some information, band plans, etc., is not up to date.

A Google User

Bumping up to five stars with new features Thanks for offering the app for free!

More to code. No calculators for formulas. Log has a lot disadvantages such as no report fields, insertion order. Nice: band plan, formulad, q codes.

Bad app Can not view the band's.
