Download FuelLog - Car Management apk 2.2.1 free for Android smartphone
Apk file size: 327.0 KB
Track fuel consumption, maintenances and costs!
Track and log your mileage, fuel consumption, maintenances, services and costs of your car or motorbike and know exactly how much your car costs. FuelLog calculates a lot of useful statistics like fuel consumption and economy (e.g. mpg or l/100km) of your car or other vehicle, total cost and mileage, average cost per distance or gas amount, average cost per month, year and driven distances, expenses and a lot more. Everything is managed in a nice-looking and very easy to use interface.
Track all kind of costs and maintenances/services like for example monthly insurance, daily bridge toll, yearly taxes, services, car parts, parking costs, oil or tyre changes, and a lot more... (limited to 15 entries in the free version)
FuelLog is probably the first and only app in this category that supports also electric cars using kWh, CNG cars using kg or gge and other vehicles with an hour meter!
6 different nice-looking graphical charts show the fill ups (only Android 2.1 and newer)
Use the included calculator to calculate costs, used/needed fuel volumes and distances for your next trip or the daily way to work with your car, based on the automatically gathered statistical data.
Of course FuelLog supports multiple cars and it is usable in every country because it supports and converts Kilometre/Miles, Litres/Gallons(US)/Gallons(UK), mpg/l/100km defined individually per vehicle and every known currency.
The stored fill ups and costs can be exported as a *.csv file for further calculations on your computer or just to be saved as a backup on your sdcard. If you have stored your gas purchases and maintenances/services on the computer or if you want to restore a previous backup, you can import the data in FuelLog (only FuelLogPro). If you have problems importing your data or if you want to convert an export from another App, from the iPhone or from a website, just send me an email, I will help you!
The user interface is very easy to use, intuitive, clear and simple and informative, nice and "android-like".

Simon Morgenthaler part of our Transportation and have average installs from 500000 to 1000000. Last Update July 1, 2011. Google play rating is 84.465. Current verison is 2.2.1. Actual size 327.0 KB.
Close but not close enough Close to beating MYCARS. But graphs are way too small. Don't seem to able to display 2 cars at same time.ah well after testing shone 15apps still found no replacement for MY CARS
No data backup support. .. Really unhappy. My Atrix died and almost a whole year worth of data is lost..just like that...poooof No reply from the developer to a call for help and I had the PAID version....
Backup info I need to restore my phone as it is getting slow, however, I do not want to loose my fuel log data. How do I back up my fuelLog data so I will have it after a factory restore of my phone then re-installing fuelLog?
Need to be able to email / backup data Also I have to keep pressing a button to call up a different keyboard just to get the decimal point option... when entering numeric values don't you think having all this on a single screen makes more sense ???
Used to be great But since recent update have to hit SYM to put . (period/dot) to add cents (what gas price doesn't have CENTS) or tenths (when do you pump a FULL GALLON) Try doing this with others waiting behind you at pump...ugh
Great App So easy to use and displays costs etc in many different ways, just fuel or including other costs. Driving slower and planning ahead now and getting 70mpg as average economy (managed 85 on one occasion but probably didn't quite fill tank). Just annoys me that I still have to pay road tax for my 1998 1.5d pug when it's so efficient.
24 carat I'm much lazier than I should be about writing reviews, but this app is so good, it's the least I can do. So impressed. Bought the pro version as thanks. Can't rate it enough. Nice one!
Help or lack of Ihave just purchased a new tablet, upgraded to the Pro version so I could export data to sdcard, doesn't work. I have bought 2 Pro uogrades 1 for each device, still doesn't work.I have Sent 3 email s to Developer, no reply. Not happy!
Almost perfect Been using for over a year, excellent app. Would like to see support for travel reimbursements in the Costs section - have emailed dev about this but seems uninterested in adding this tweak. Adding a negative number is all it would take, how hard can it be? Hasn't been updated for 2 years now so not holding my breath.
I love this app! Have been using this for a couple of years and love it. Lost some data once when I needed to reset phone but now I back up on a regular basis. Files can be backed up to an online source if needed or external sd but to restore it has to be in the fuellog file on the internal memory. I keep info between my tab and my phone so it won't be lost again. Would like an apple version so I wouldn't have to keep my husband's info on my phone!
It's great but annoying! STOP taking the decimal key off the main numberpad! Geesh. I can recall multiple updates adding this to the main screen and other updates taking it away. So ANNOYING to have to hit SYM to get to the decimal point. Why the # and * keys are on the main number pad and the decimal is not is beyond me. The decimal is the only special key used when entering data, not the # and *! Fix that and you get my 5 stars!
Flawed A handy app with a good UI. BUT - a huge let-down, when It comes to backing up your data entries. A "backup" option does show in the app, but (for me) didn't seem to leave a file that could be imported when needed. I've had to manually type all my info; twice now. A real pain!!
Great App...one suggestion/request. I use the Fuel Log Pro app all the time in order to track my car expenses: it's great! One suggestion, though. Please make the period available without having to go to "symbols" to get it. It's not a big thing, but it would be handy if it were available on the number pad. Thanks!
Best App in its class Excellent UI, great graphs, very intuitive. This is the best app in its type. Well worth the cost of the pro.
Developer Does NOT Assist Seems like a fairly decent app but I have lots of data from another app in BlackBerry apps and developer advertises that he will assist with csv import process. Well, that's a flat out lie and false advertising! I've emailed him 5 times - no response. Thanks for nothing. Will apply for refund. LIAR.
No Dual / Bi Fuel Option Been using MyCars, tried this because of the buggy interface in MyCars where CNG/Petrol calculations are messed up. Though it works great on petrol, it's of no use to me. I usually tank up petrol for a month and use weekly CNG re-fills. Mostly the bi-fuel vehicle is run on CNG sparing the start-ups. Most of the vehicles are usually run this way. There is absolutely no option to define a bi-fuel vehicle and units. I have to choose either Petrol or CNG which does not give a right reading at all for such vehicles. This feature would have been excellent.
Easy to use Doesn't transfer to XCel very easy. Doesn't give away all your private info (as best I can tell).
A great app in its day When this was supported, it was a great app. As it hasn't been supported in years it is no longer all that great. There is no data exporting anymore.
Backup FAIL Be careful with backup if you have more than 1 car with different measures (miles and km). My km car data it's completely messed up. Big FAIL for me because I have 4 vehicles and only one (miles) is OK.
Simple, yet perfect! Do all I want to do, the simplest way possible. Couldn't be better.
Clunky backup Obviously the people complaining about the backup haven't read the help file. My phone recently died and luckily I had been exporting my data, enabling me to restore everything onto my tablet, albeit with more effort than a regular user should have to endure. Other than that, good app!
Best fuel App I tried a few fuel log apps and this is the best one, well done guys. Nice graphs, easy to use, good display
Good, but could be better DO NOT BUY UNTIL DEV ADDS MISSED FILL-UP SETTING. I liked this app enough to get the license. Not happy that it appears to be abandoned with no updates in almost a year. Developer had promised many features on his website including a missed fill-up feature. It really needs this. I've used other apps that have this function. Otherwise, this app beats the other fuel logging apps I have used.
Brilliant, however... This app is brilliant and one of the few I've paid for the full/Pro version of on the Play Market. What would make this a 5 star app is for it to "automatically" backup the fill up data to the SD card and even better would be an option to backup to my Dropbox. If Simon could get this into a future version of the app I think he'd be onto a winner frankly!
Great app. Very useful app for Tracking everything you have done to your cars. Only thing I wish I could do is zoom in on the graphs. But other than that. Absolutely excellent.
Very nice to have, until it stopped working This is a pretty useful app, I liked it a lot when I was using it. I eventually stopped using it because all of a sudden one day the odometer data had been corrupted somehow, looks like some entries were removed, then instantly all the mileage statistics were thrown off because it appeared the car had driven 10k miles on a single fill up. So at this point there was no reason to keep using it because the data was askew. It would be nice if there was some kind of backup available, or a way to easily edit or omit past entries to prevent problems like this from happening. until then...
Used to be good, now unusable and unsupported. Liked this so much when I originally installed it I bought the pro version and it's been fine over the years. Unfortunately the app is discontinued, there is no support, and newer phones give no means of accessing the settings so you can't import your old data (or back up your new data in case you want to save it). Due to this, it's useless now and will be uninstalled shortly.
Developer responded quickly and accurately to my questions/needs. App is very useful and simple to use.
Great application Application used to be spectacular, but needs to be updated. On KitKat OS the data entry isn't as great as it used to be causing you as a user to have more clicks than are necessary. App hasn't been updated in nearly 3 years and could use a refresh. Dropping it from 5 stars.
Exellent app! Nice interface, nice features, and above all is *accurate*! I switched from Mileage due to some serious math errors with partial fill ups. After entering my old data into FuelLog, I can confirm it handles partial fill ups correctly, without any math errors. The calculator feature is an absolutely wonderful bonus. This gets 4 stars rather than five ONLY because it's feature restricted *and* has ads. If it was only one OR the other it would be 5 stars, but both is just over the top.
Great app! Worth 5 stars! Great app, has served me well. One idea for you: The ability to specify a gap in information would be nice for work vehicles. (Enter odometer and click a "gap" check box, provides a starting point for the next fill-up)
Does not use the Google backup API! I lost my entire log because this app does not use the Google backup APIs to back up its data to the cloud. I am very disappointed in this app.
Pretty good with 1 glaring bug Overall, a good tracking tool. Could use a mileage log for tracking business mileage. There's one glaring bug, however -- the total cost per mile calculation is just flat out wrong. It continues to go up. Currently, it says my car costs $1.77 / mile. Exporting the data and doing the math manually ((total cost of fill-ups + total other costs) / miles driven) comes to $0.34 / mile. Contacted the dev re: bug report and received no response.
Best ever I own my own business this program allows me to keep track of all my purchases for my vehicles and breaks it down for me. The only thing I'd really like to see is an export button that would automatically attach the export to my Google email so I could email it to myself. I lost over a years worth of information when my phone died and had to be factory reset. I export to the phone after every fill up.
Feature packed & easy to use. BUT ANNOYINGLY when entering notes and screen blanks, remarks field does too. Needs to prevent this from happening, perhaps by preventing screen blanking or saving every few characters entered!
Do not get I tried entering fuel dates, but if I did not enter them in order it modified my values with random numbers. there is no way this program ever change the values you give it. after spending a great deal of time entering in value I've returned later to find them changed!
Used to love it. No development or support for 4 years. Used to really like this app a lot. It's sad that the dev stopped looking after the app. No replies to emails or any contact. No updates for 4 years. Yet the dev seems to still be taking people's money. The app should have sync to cloud by now. It's always a mess to export and import (some metrics get messed up on import). Such a shame. The dev could have at least transfered development to someone else if no longer interested.
Fantastic app. Intuitive, robust, comprehensive, reliable. Will definitely outlast my phone so can't wait for a PC backup & data transfer function.
Good but... The lack of a way to backup data is annoying. Worse in the keypad. I realize they probably plugged in something pre-built, rather than reinvent the wheel, but couldn't they find one with the decimal key on the FIRST screen? I try to quickly enter my data before I leave the pump & have to toggle between screens TWICE to enter price & amount in gallons is awkward and annoying.
Import function is ridiculously frustrating I have an excel spreadsheet with a few years of fuel data etc. and thought I would be able to import it into the program...I have working on it for a few hours through NUMEROUS iterations and still no luck. I am not sure why the import function is completely lacking an intelligent design for the following reasons: 1) EXCEL does not intrinsically export files as semicolon delimited...so I had to utilize a cuctomized macro to do that 2) EXCEL does not intrinsically export files WITH quotes (") around entries...had to utilize a different macro 3) Date format after export with macros was dd-mm-yyy...apparently, the app requires yyyy-mm-dd...again, still looking for a solution!!!! What a pain in the a$$ thus far. Why wouldn't you design app to import from a file format that is typically utilized by the majority of people??? App is otherwise fine...as long as there is no need to import. P.S. YES - I tried utilizing thr sample files that were included...if you open / save it in excel (without even changing anything the file AND leaving the file in its original format), it becomes unreadable by the app...why? Because excel does not support semicolon delimited WITH quotes!!!
Very good. Will purchase in case of Russian localization availability.
Up No updates, for the last 3 years
not working on ICS
Can't import to new phone LG g3 Hi. The Pro version is installed on mynew phone but the features are not active so I can't upload my fuel log history. Please advise.
Used to be great but not supported well on new Android This was the very first app I ever paid for back in 2011 but now with Android lollipop the left option button doesn't work like before and so previous functions associated with that button is lost, which is a pity
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 I' ve used the Pro verison for two years, and would give 5 stars if there was a better method to backup data and transfer data to new or other devices. I was able to do data trans. before on other devices through import/export selection within the settings menu. There is not a menu trigger to be found, for the Note 5... Please fix and come up with better backup and transfer data method, possibly a backup to "Dropbox".
Can't retrieve backed up data After over 2 years of saving data, I just got a new phone and I can't reload my saved data! How do you get into settings? Fix those issues and will be 5 stars
Can not get to the menu Since I have upgraded to the Samsung Note 5 I can not get to the menu to import my data that I exported from my Note 4. If I could import the data I would continue to use it since I paid for the license upgrade. Right now I don't want to use it if I can't export/import. Software needs needs to be updated.
Great app for keeping up with gas expenses. However, if moving to a new phone the menu to be able to backup and restore is no longer accesible since the app has not been updated in quite some time. An email to the developer did not receive a reply to the problem. This has forced me to move over to Fuel Buddy. I'm also a pro version owner of this app which is quite dissapointing.
Outdated Design A good functional app that has almost all the important features you want in a fuel log app. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated in years and the user interface is now sadly outdated.
Terrible I have been using this app for 4 years now and purchased the license 4 years ago. I changed my phone to one plus X and the settings menu has disappeared. I am able to add fill up etc, but can't export the data. I need to reset my phone but will lose all the data. I even mailed the developer, but he didn't even bother replying.. Please don't buy it...
Great but not updated. I have used this app for several years but am no longer able to. With Android Kit Kat and prior you could hold down the Recents button to access an apps menu. In Lollipop that was removed but a floating button was added to accomodate legacy apps that still needed to be updated. Now with Marshmallow, that accomodation for legacy apps has been removed. As such, I can no longer use this app with my Galaxy S7 Edge as it has not been updated in almost 5 years.
Problems with S7 I have used the app with great success for years. Just upgraded from an S5 to the S7, and now I cannot get into the settings menu. Whenever you long-press the settings menu button, it states the app does not support split screen. Send an email to the developer, no response. So now I can't continue to use it.
Great app for fuel costs & performance. Been using this app since Nov 2013 & it's a great tool. Works for more than one vehicle. Add fill ups to see best, worst & average mpg. Work out costs, see stats as a graph & calculate journey costs. Always added to new phones.
I just upgraded Phones, and Now I can not add a second car. Pressing Resent App button (long) would bring up Menu, now it's Split Screen. Are you going to fix this?
Excellent fuel app! Buy pro! A great app! Graphs show if you drove lead footed and also you can tell how weather can affect milage. Im a licenced dealer tech and always show trouble customers this app to prove its not the car its them!
One major flaw I needed to reset the phone, after carefully backing up multiple ways but fuel log does NOT get backed up so my data us lost. I'd also love the ability to import historical data as I've had the car some time with the fuel purchases in a book but only just got the app. Then I could enter these in Excel, say, and import them as a csv or similar file.
Easy gas mileage and maintenance tracker! Great app! Although it should have a missed fill up button and maybe a share function so I can send the info to my husbands app? Otherwise it's easy to use and was quite helpful! *Would be nice to add a photo album, take pics of reciepts for work done to vehicles. :)
Excellent app! I've installed this app to track the fuel consumtion, and got much more that I hoped for. You can log all cost associated with the vehicles. Yes, vehicles, because it will take more vehicles. It is also very flexible with units. For example, my odometer is in miles, but I prefer to have the fuel counsumption logged in l/100km. No problem there. I input the odometer in miles and fuel in liters, the app calculates and converts all units. Easy peasy. And last, but not least, the Fuel Log never crashed on me.
Cannot import the fuel log at Nexus 5 (android 4.4) First of all, I like the application very much and I purchase the key to unlock it. Recently, I was migrating my data from the old phone to Nexus 5 (android 4.4). Some how the import from excel doesn't work. (By doesn't work, it means the application itself doesn't show up and csv file in the system even though there's one if I use Astro(file manager) to check it). I hope someone will fix the issue for me. Thanks
Brilliant I've been using this app for a couple of years and I can tell you that it is sensational. I've tracked all costs and the stats it provides is amazing. I have three vehicles logged and I know exactly what their true running costs are. It even tells me how much it will cost me to travel any given distance in either vehicle. This app is worth every cent. Congratulations to Simon and thank you. Oh and I imported my data to my new Samsung G4 by emailing myself a copy of the .csv backup file then imported it.
Great, but... This was wonderful. I started using it just as I bought two cars, and it kept every dime of expense for each of them neat and organized. For almost two years. Then I had to reset my phone, and lost all the data. Seriously? This application gets reinstalled automatically (thanks Google), but the data is not backed up at all. The 'pro' option allows you to do that manually. How 1997. This is a great tool, but it has a fatal flaw. Now that I have to start over again anyway (and have lost my only expense data), I will be trying something else. WITH an automatic backup.
Changed phone now app more limited than before Not as good! Changed to Samsung s7 edge. On my note 3 I could have 2 cars details on this app. Now I can't. Just the one car as far as I can see. Any help on this would be appreciated then I will give it a better star rating. But as this app hasn't been updated for over 4 years I don't think things will change!
Much Better Than the Old Pen and Paper Log Method Good detail. It’s great having all the stats on the vehicle in one spot. (My phone) I do wish there were some sort of cloud backup for information. I'm still unsuccessful in retrieving fuel log information from my old phone with this app.... Over all a great tool!
The app itself is really good. Its easy to use. Its well layed out It has lots of features and useful information. Just don't ever lose your phone. The data is not cloud based. And, don't ever buy a new phone either. There is no way to retrieve the data off the old phone, even with the purchased license key that is supposed to allow you to do that (I lost almost 3 years of data when I got a new phone). And, if you ever need support, forget it. Numerous emails have gone completely unanswered. Apparently, lots of other users are having these same issues with it. Uninstalling, and never coming back.
Good but restricted I'm using this since last two years and finally decided to give-up & start using other app. The reason being it only allows limited no. of costs entries in free version. So if you are planning to use it for long term without upgrading to pro version, then you are making a bad choice as I made. Otherwise it was very easy to use and UI is very simple.
the feature that I'm looking for is not on this app As a Canadian that lives beside the US / Canada border I need the ability to input the distance in kilometers and liters and the Canadian dollar price when I fill up at home. The feature I don't see, is being able to enter the distance in kilometers and the fuel in US gallons and the US dollar price. If it could then be converted to liters and to Canadian dollar pricing and give me both a miles per gallon and a L/100km. This shouldn't be too difficult as there are several currency converter sites to pull the relevant info.
Something changed-invalid date This used to be a great app, then something happened. Either it doesn't want to work with my replacement phone (same make/model Droid Bionic) or it doesn't like 2013. It gives me an (invalid date) for 1/3/2013 and 1/10/2013 but not for 1/16/2013. The fuel calculations are not right. It used to be great, but this doesn't work. Please fix and update and I will change my rating.
Almost there This app is pretty good but needs to few more functions to make it great. Please add the following: 1. Automatically add the decimal place when entering volume and volume price... This drives me nuts. 2. Service reminders would be great.. The app should allow me to enter in the service and set the interval. Then based on the fill up mileage, send a reminder on the service.
Lost all data after factory reset Like the app, used it for years. Wanted to reset my phone, and I was conscious of the fact that the data is not backed up on the cloud, so I wanted to export the data. On the import/export page it says "The data is exported as a CSV file to the sd-card". Unfortunately, that's not where it goes - it goes to phone memory. Four years' data wiped. Feel like there's not a lot of point in using the app anymore.
Does not work on newer Samsung Galaxy devices I've used this app for a long time, but unfortunately it appears this app is no longer updated. On the Samsung Galaxy 5, Android 4.x and 5.x, there is no way to access the menu to add vehicles, adjust settings or anything. It was a good run, but unless you have a hard menu key on your phone, you won't be able to access the menu system.
Decimal point hard to use. Have been using for about 4 years have three vehicles recorded and have exported and imported across 5 devices with no problems. Decimal needs to be with numbers. Fuel map by wiki camps has decimal in good spot easier and quicker to use. Hope an update for this one comes very soon.
Great app, 1 flaw I love this app. It allows me to diligently keep track of my fuel consumption and my car's performance. My ONLY suggestion would be to put the decimal symbol on the main number pad since it is the most frequent symbol used. Well, for me, it's the ONLY symbol I use. I shouldn't have to change pads to get to it every time I'm entering a number. Please update this so the app can be a 5 star all the way!
Can't import data, no response from developer Bought the app (mistake #1) and tried to import years of data for my vehicles (the data was formatted correctly), but the app kept erroring out with no explanation. Tried to contact the developer for assistance (several times over a one month period) with no response. Can't get a refund. Probably a good app if you are starting of fresh, but don't buy if you have existing data you want to import.
Does not work with Samsung galaxy s7edge Developers email address seems to be non existant as wanted to get an answer as to why i cannot get the options tab anymore. Cannot import or export data since changing my phone and tried writing to this guy but his email address is either incorrect or has deleted it. Did really enjoy using this app until now. Do not buy if you need to be able to save your data using the new galaxy S7edge phone and probably the std S7 as well.
Two fixes needed... No more printing gasoline receipts, I just enter the info into the app, and I'm good to. Would like the decimal point to be on the front page since it's used more than once on each entry. And would like to be able to back up data so it doesn't get lost.
I just upgraded from a Galaxy S4 to a Galaxy S7. I backed up my data on my S4, but there was apparently no "menu" button on my S7 to restore the data. I was able to find a "floating menu" button using "Settings > Accessibility > Dexterity and Interaction > Assistant Menu". This allowed me to import my data, from the .csv, file backed up from my S4. Phew !! I'm back up and running, and havent lost years worth of data :-)
Good App Bad Service I was using this great app for last 2 years but lost all the data when I purchased license to export the data before doing a factory reset. Even tried reaching out to the App creator as mentioned the licensed version. Unfortunately Simon did not respond. Please make yourself sure that you have exported the data correctly. Sometimes it does not import back correctly. Would have rated this 5 star if Simon had responded...
One major issue with Samsung J7 Previously i used fuellog on nexus 4,it worked very well but when i switched to Samsung J7, i m nt able to add vehical details. Infact i m not getting any option like settings. Due to this not at all able to use the app. Forcibly i have to use the other app which i dont want. Pls solve the issue on high priority. Once the issue gets resolved, i would like to give 5 star to app.
No updates but great app Great app, would like maintenance reminders based on distance travelled and calendar time. Some of the other maybes that are listed would be nice as well. Cloud back up is a must now. No updates in 3 and half years is OK because the app was very good at the time, needs to be updated to modern times now though.
I really liked using the app until I upgraded my phone to the Note 5 and lost the ability to get to the settings menu. Now I have no way to import the data from my old phone or tablet. The app needs to have another way to get to the settings menu for the import/export feature. Without access to the settings option I have no choice but to only use the app with my tablet. Please fix this issue.
I Fixed No update problem. I had the same problem as the developer can't bother to update the software. But I fix it by going to settings > accessibility > dexterity and interaction > assistant menu > on. This way I was able to use the menu button in order for me to import and export data from my old phone
Missing something... This seems great tool.. reporting is great and the additional costs is brilliant. But personally I am looking for an app that provides consumption based on the data I insert independent of beings partial or fill.up... and the accomulated consumption can be part but additional to the refill average consumption..
