Fantastic app, but buggy. 4/20/15: Loses Label Folder name & icon (again) after upgrade. FIX: Remove Label Folder from home screen then re-add it. Contents not affected by bug. Frustrating & time-consuming.

A Google User

Bullshit. Every update changes the logic and throws away all my settings. Only use this on a rooted phone. Otherwise you won't be able to revert it back to what used to work. I'm just sick of the stress trying to make this cooperate as it degrades with each update. Aaaagh! Finally got it running yet again..*sigh*

Tyler Berlin

Awesome App This has always been one of my "must have" apps. I rely heavily on this app to organize my apps and export/import setting in-between ROMs.

Jason Crawford

What a joke! This app is so God damned irritating! Every time it updates, I have to go reset everything I've used this app to do. All icons reset and don't come back. What a complete waste of time!

Alan Rubinstein

Stayed perfect after Lollipop upgrade Everything stayed intact after Lollipop upgrade. Didn't have to rebuild folders and labels. Can't live without Folder Organizer. Galaxy Note 4

Javan Dicks

Guaranteed Install I would have thought this would be a stock Android feature by now but it's not. This is still the best for your organization especially across ROMs.

Nils Brause

Very useful! Finally I can organise all my apps in folders and subfolders. :)

A Google User

Best around but.. What I'd really like is a desktop drag and drop app to create folders then sync them with android/FO. Phones / tablets suck for this kind of task.

Meek Acumen

Crap Seriously is this app designed for humans or is it designed for aliens? I can't even perform simple tasks like change the icons in the folder, it takes me through the selection process then changes nothing..... Please refine the app

Jon-Cameron Bates

Disappointing update. Needs modernising. I get excited when I see an update for Folder Organizer but it's never anything major. This app has been around for years and it's showing its age now. Although it's very useful it desperately needs a makeover if only to get rid of the ugly icons.

Edrees Yasini

I wish it had in a notification grid option as well. Currently in notification bar it have a list option which makes my notification bar so long.

A Google User

Great App The best app for organizing apps, shortcuts, bookmarks, and more.

Karl Gendler

Pretty good, but... I would LOVE for you to include the ability to put widgets within labels. For example, my ideal situation would include the 1x1 flashlight widget in a label such that I may include it in a 4x1 Folder Organizer widget on my home screen so it may be part of a row of 5 without text under it.

A Google User

What happened? It used to be much more usable, now it's a nightmare just to create a simple folder, now it's impossible.

Zachary Beals

Such great potential ruined Applied an icon pack, and a couple programs didn't change so I did it manually. Now, they're stuck on that icon as uninstalling doesn't work and resetting the icon crashes the app. Really love the app, but would like to be able to mass import icon packs, but after months, it still doesn't work (and never did in first place over 3 devices). Updates rarely (3 months since last and nearly a year before that). Only added new features/UI once in years. Sick of waiting.

Ankur Patel

crashing on nexus 5 lollipop over all i like it very much but it has bug, it is always crashes whenever i am trying to export my settings, hope to get it fix. and will appreciate if i see material design soon.

George Lynch

WAS awesome, but not with lollipop I have used this since gingerbread. I loved it. However it seems that it is no longer being supported. Has some issues with Lollipop. Therefore I can no longer recommend.

Marco Briatore

NotePro KitKat 4.4.2 Chaos dominator! For a neat freak like me it's essential_ you can really have all in control thanks to the auto & manual operations_ the UI Isn't complicated (as someone says), it's simply multy-layered, giving the total control I talked about. Editing, labels, categories, icons and more, all is here for a tidy life's sake_ ?????

Gary Mackey

Nice app I use this app in combination with Nova Launcher. I just think the folder look of any launcher is ugly. This made folders look great. Also has the ability to export the setting and layouts so if I upgrade my phone, I will not lose my folder layouts. I know that most launchers have folder capability already within, but they are so ugly. My phone is that much more elegant and enjoyable to use. It is the little things that make the experience of my Android phone all worth it. Can't do any customizing like this on an Iphone / Ipad. Some people might say "Why would you need to change that", but I like a little more options, even if it is just to change the look of folders. I would recommend this app for anyone that hates standard folders look in Android.

A Google User

Could easily be 5 stars! I have been using this app for almost two years. It has allowed me to minimize the number of icons on my home screens, and group them by function, giving a very esthetically pleasing and useful, result. I completely cleared all but one home screen on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus, though I have over 500 apps within Folder Organizer. However, the last couple of updates of Folder Organizer have introduced frequent crashes of the app (several per day), and more seriously, the font size on apps within folders has become too small for my vision. The font size of icons on home screens had become too small also, but this was corrected by using shortcuts instead of widgets and by using Apex launchers' ability to expand icon text. I appreciate the backup/restore feature; it allows me to recover everything after a factory reset (I use Titanium Backup to restore the stock browsers bookmarks so FO can restore them also). EDITED April 13, 2015: I continue to view this as the best, though Glextor App Manager shows every promise of overtaking it. The FO dev is totally unresponsive to issues, and Glextor is extremely prompt.

Sabine Levrier

Don't like it I thought it would be an app that would be very easy to use and help me effortlessly to group all my apps in folders but all this is really is the same thing that already came with my Xperia Z but much more complicated and far from being intuitive. I have messed around this app for the past 45 minutes and haven't been able yet to create anything worth my time or money. Not expensive but completely useless. I might change my mind but so far I am not impressed

Jez Hoffman

CRASHES ON LOLLIPOP I love this app, use it all the time across all my devices. On lollipop it slows down my tablet, crashes, causes the device to break. This really needs to be fixed!

Yume Nightfire

One of my favorite usability apps! I bought this app ages ago, and almost got buyers remorse a few times because I find apps or even features that come come my phone that make this one useless, but I always end up finding a deal breaker with them and come back to Folder Organizer. It's ridiculously easy to use and I'm always finding new ways to use it. Most recently I've taken advantage of the custom icon feature. Try the free version, if you like it and see a feature you want to try in full, buy it. You won't regret it.

Charles Carey

Great app Update: Still one of my favorites, works well, very helpful.. Appreciate the update from the developer. Orig: I have many apps but this is in my top 5 favorites. It is the best for keeping organized. You can also put shortcuts and bookmarks in folders and get to them quickly. I love this program and appreciate that the author keeps improving it. I have the paid version and am happy with the purchase and you will

Jason Lechner

Dead app In dire need of some major updates. It would be nice to have the folder icons look the same as the stock android folders. It also needs the ability to choose app icon size.

A Google User

Sucks big time. I had problems with app not opening. Sent a dozen messages and no reply. I see he did update and I have my original problem plus the same new one as everyone else. Fabio, you are better than this. Please fix ASAP and make your long time paying customers happy once again.

A Google User

Must-have app, best way to keep home organized, but Lollipop problem Must-have app - better than regular folders for app collections, plus detects new items and prompts for categorization so folders are kept up-to-date. (Lollipop note - can no longer export, app crashes on Lollipop. Still love the app, but need to be able to export to share my categorization across devices!)

Quent Rhodes

Abandoned? I will update rating when the developer fixes the "Apply All Icons" issue. It has been lingering for over a year. Other than that, it's an excellent app.

A Google User

Was smart, creative app. I've used paid FO for years on multiple Android devices with multiple launchers. But developer has been totally unresponsive now for over two years. There aren't that many modification requests; he could've dealt with them. There is no way to apply an icon pack, for example. It is the most-requested modification on his forums. Anyway, don't try or buy. This app is now a crapp. GLEXTOR MIGHT BE AN ALTERNATIVE.

David Rees

Great app, but can't export/import on lollipop This is one of the first apps I install on new phones, but unfortunately when I click import it says "no files found in directory...". When I try to export I get "FolderOrganizer has stopped" when I hit ok to save the file.

A Google User

Love it, but needs a facelift I've been using this app forever, it works but the folder ui need to be updated. The look of the folders just doesn't fit with the latest versions of Android.

John Ray

Invaluable The best and simplest way to organise your apps and keep the screen neat and tidy (Tip: Create one folder for all unallocated apps).

Joseph Banks

Still a good app! One of the few apps I've paid for, just reinstalled to my LG G3. Functionality is still good and had editing features in tact. Wish the "Options" icon in the widget was smaller or some sort of bar on the side. It had a guide function for the option icon but it's better to have it viewable. All in all, does what it claims.

Stuart Upchurch

Update Messed Everything Up Updated on Samsung S4 and having same problems as others (customized icons and titles GONE on home screens). Alot of work in app is rendered useless. I may go back to a backup and reload it as all folder titles and icons are identical so I don't know where anything is! UPDATE..used Susans fix and missing titles/icons restored. Funny thing is the issue DIDN'T occur on ALL file labels and icons- just most of them.

Scott Wilken

Landscape only on Android 5.0.1 Updated to 5.0.1 today, and now Folder Organizer forces landscape mode. Fix that and you'll be back to 5 stars.

Paul Renick

My Favorite App (Period) This is not my favorite Folder app or Organizer app, it is my favorite app, period, end of sentence. This is the fourth phone it has been on, and the first app downloaded on each. It makes using my smartphone an absolute pleasure. This app should be standard equipment on ALL smartphones. Having said all of that, it's RIDICULOUS that I cannot make shortcuts from Bookmarks with Chrome Beta.

Trent King

If only If I could set the colour when you select an app instead of the default orange it would be perfect and 5 stars

Shaun Osborne

brilliant I've been using this for about 3-4 years, the very first app I install on a rebuild or new phone.. Dont think you'll find a fully functioned folder organizer

Pavel Belomestnykh

Must have! Problem with applying icon packs to all applications

Пользователь Google

out of date really miss the new look, widgets looks old

Александр Фандорин

Fuck the license checker!

Пользователь Google

Very good but.... On my moto DEFY no prioblems. Simply the best. BUT on Acer a510 after some time starting blinking when the folder is opened using a link on home screen. It behaves like it is opened then immediately closed opened again and so on infinitely. Approximately 4-5 times per second. Killing the process of folder organizer helps but not for a long time.

Jay Money

Needs more features for it to be 5 stars... Needs more configuration editing options, like font size, folder dimensions, app info,... Etc.

A Google User

Love it. Please make an option to align icon for 1*1. For now it is fixed to top left

dd jj

Samsung 10.1 tab 2014 Has become my favourite app organiser on phone & tablet.

A Google User

Still the best Invaluable. Been using it for years. Top 5 most used on my Nexus 7

Paul Oebel

Way too many bugs Didn't work on my S5 - trying out on my S6 Edge - doesn't work here either. Can't place folders at all - worthless!

A Google User

I'm addicted to using this app

A Google User

I have been using this app for almost three years. It has allowed me to group my 500+ apps by function within a multi-level hierarchy of folders, with only the top 2 folders on my home screen, giving a very esthetically pleasing and useful result. I appreciate the backup/restore feature, and the fact that FO's folders are present in Titanium Backup's search criteria. I am concerned, however, that the developer does not respond to issues posed by myself and others, so I have deducted a star from my rating.

Xobb Felane

Don't know if I broke the Play store. I couldn't access the widget for this app probably because I still had the lite version installed. Uninstalled both to try again but now I just keep getting an error message 961. What??

Jon-Cameron Bates

Abandoned by developer Have been using this app for years and it served me well but development has stopped it seems as updates are rare and they offer little in the way of fixes or enhancements. It now looks dated and ugly. So it's been about a year since the last update, I can only assume the Developer has abandoned it. It's time to switch to Glextor App Manager.

Zachary Beals

Get Glextor - it's not abandoned and it's far better Really love the app, but far too many problems. Almost never updates (nearly a year between them usually). Only added new features/UI a single time in years. Problems pile up, but are never fixed. Have been forced to completely redo everything 4 times due to app randomly deciding it's going to crash every time you open it or change anything, making it useless.

A Google User

Powerful, versatile, must-have app! MUST-HAVE PERIOD! As Android improves with each update utility apps fall by the wayside and are no longer useful... NOT so with Folder Organizer. It's the shiznit!!! It is so versatile and even on my newer quad-core (octa-core even) Samsungs it makes Android cleaner and more elegant! Easy startup but months to master--super powerful!

Fix to allow app names to wrap or be edited; allow to choose number of apps to show in rectangle. Cannot reposition and/or edit app names. Wasted my MONEY!

A Google User

Most-used app but could be more Have to agree with others. This is my most-used app, and it's great, but in ten years it really hasn't changed much, which is disappointing. It still lacks some basics, like the ability to sort by installation date, and the dev could have done more. Lack of add-in functionality is a notable gap, for example. That said, it's still top dog, for now, and I get a lot out of it.

Mark Royall

Love it, but loses one star... One of my 'go to' apps on getting a new gadget. Loses one star as I can't change the widget theme, seems to be locked to 'default'.

Yvan Richard

Not needed anymore Used to really like it. Uninstalling now since I'm using Action Launcher 3 and its drawers

A Google User

Absolutely love this I have used this for years now and its the only way I set up my screens still with I could change the pressed and focused color but perfect otherwise

Mark Schwandt

I paid for it, but now it tells me it's unlicensed? After updating the app, now every time I open it, it tells me it's unlicensed, and gives me an option to exit, recheck, or purchase. Wasn't it enough to buy it once? Now I have to buy it again every time I update it? Please fix this.

Erica Strand

Don't know what people do if they don't have this app! Tag all your apps in as many categories as you want, you will find them QUICKLY every time!

Robert Cousins

Ok App Excellent app and could be rated 5 stars. One BIG flaw, it cannot handle an infinite amount of apps and crashes once a certain level is reached (663 apps). Less than what the S6 can hold. Please rethink and increase ability to hold more apps please without crashing. Or at least inform when limit is reached. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!

Sterling Chavis

Great app Does what it's supposed to do very well and has never given me any trouble. Would be 5 stars of it were to support the edge screen of the Galaxy Note Edge though. Uninstalled until the Edge is supported.

Samson Samuel

Money well spent The one app I possibly couldn't do without! (4 years using it, and still loving it through all the phone / ROM upgrades)

sanjay prajapati

Note 4 The best only one should know how to explore and use

Suzannah Porter

Can't live without it. The only thing needed for a five star review is an overhaul of how it handles bookmarks. It seems by default to recognize chrome bookmarks over other browsers, but doesn't seem to recognize the title of a chrome bookmark, so you end up with a hundred item long list of blank bookmarks. I cannot incorporate bookmarks into my labels, which is a bummer.

Dan Feigt

Excellent app. I've owned it for a long time, have had it on 3 different versions of Android, and have never had an issue.

A Google User

nice to organize the desktop, apps, scrollable widget, contacts, bookmarks. I'm a user since it came to life. Unfortunately my license isn't detected by Folder Organizer anymore, but Play Store still knows about my purchase

Ernesto Cruz

Loyal user Been using this since cupcake. The absolute best. I've must have tried them all and none have come close to the ease of use and customization options of folder organizer.

A Google User

After many years still a good app Moved on to lollipop on a Galaxy S6. Only thing that doesn't seem to stick is bookmarks. After a reboot they seem to lose their way. Assume a fix will correct that after time.

Marcel Uithoof

Great program But could use a makeover. Very dated interface.

Michael Sidor

Use all the time. Android 6.0 breaks features. I love this app. Smarter way to sorted and categorize apps. Discovered that bookmarks and apps csn go in the labels gogether only to find that Marshmallow breaks this. I think the app needs to find a way to request access to bookmarks in the new permissions model.

Chris Monachino

Could be great... I've used Folder Organizer for a few years but stopped after moving to Smart Task Launcher. With a bit of polish the two could be great companion apps, but unfortunately FO needs some polish and feels dated.

Kellie Knox Capps

Have used it... But it fails with a -505 Have used it... But it fails with a -505 install error now with the upgrade to lollipop...

Larry Buchanan

I have used this app for years. I have over 600 app that are nice and organized thanks to this app. What great as you can backup your configuration by exporting it. When you upgrade to new phone you just import configuration and place them on the desktop.

Marco Villagran

Help! Anyone know how to make the folders look like bullet points on the homepage?

Rora Xyz

Too good!! What a great way of creating personalised folders. Plus you can rename apps too!! Works well on my Galaxy Note 4.

Richard Relos

Pls store settings in Google Every device has their own settings. But it would be nice if my organized folder is consistent across my devices.

A Google User

I cannot change the widget theme :(

M Merrill

It crashes! I installed the paid version, it was fine for a few days and then it cleared my phone now it's going to take hours to get all back to normal.

Doug Bohrer

Makes Organized Apps Portable You can copy your organized apps and shortcuts from your phone to your tablet. When you upgrade, your organized folders can be copied to your new phone or tablet. In low memory situations, your app folders don't take up as much memory in the launcher. They're just single widgets. You can get icons you like for groups of apps and move them too.

Ghassan Kassem

Excellent folder organizer . Excellent folder organizer . Very nice. .Easy to use. . Make your own scrollable widgets.. Serious Problem with Galaxy S7 edge Android 6, It doesn't load the Bookmarks.

Ray RedSpider

I find it vital, but... I have a fave folder that I keep on main screen as a widget, to scroll and easily get to most used apps. But now, I keep finding a blank widget with no apps. And I have to remove and replace it, only to have it go blank again. I give up. There's nothing convenient about that.

Josef Handsuch

Invaluable... I have been using this app for about 5 years now on different devices and I can't imagine using Android without it. This should be inbuilt in the OS. Even though it's no longer updated, it hasn't got obsolete or outdated as it's fully customizable.

Imran Yusof

Great app but outdated Functionality ably handled by Nova Launcher as a built-in feature. So I am uninstalling this app after being a longtime fan.

skyrunr skyrunr

have used this for years could be made much simpler to use, but i still like. novu launcher is preffered/better, but too much other stuff i don't need.

Terry Prince

Folder Organizer Paid Version App not complete. Will not see bookmarks from any browser. Notified author numerous times. Will not reply back. No support whatsoever. Would not recommend to anyone.

Nathan Kester

Abandoned, but great I use this on every device I manage as it's Really nice to have intuitive folders for at a glance clicking.

And why has it dropped all ability to see or use browser bookmarks? Seriously, I paid for this but am losing features from it for some reason

Johnny Umphress

Good app, very poor instructions, difficult to figure out on your own. After figuring out how to apply the newly created shortcut I bought the full version. I believe in supporting the apps I use.

A Google User

I have been using this app for almost 4 years. It has allowed me to group my 500+ apps by function within a multi-level hierarchy of folders, with only the top 2 folders on my home screen, giving a very aesthetically pleasing and useful result. This is the best by far of this type of app. It works with 6.0.1. I sincerely hope that it will continue to be supported.

Ronald Lemmen

Such a shame This app allows me to organise my apps just the way I like it. The first one I install on a new device. However, since the update to lollipop it doesn't show the label names anymore on my Leno Yoga 2. Way less helpful now.

Georgian Cernat

It might not be having active development but for me it works perfect still. I can organize my apps tge way i want, which app, where i want it. Way more easier to find apps in smartphone with a huge amount of apps installed. Thanks!

Robert Rees

Must have app This is the best folder organizing tool for a phone. Multiple sublevels, easy to use, totally replaces app drawer. After using it for several years, I am still amazed at its capabilities as I have gone through several phones.

Fantastic tool Used the free version for a day and liked it. Here's a euro I'm not going to regret paying. Free ver decluttered my desktops all the way to only needing my home screen anymore. Pro version perfected the styling i was looking for. Loving it. Clean home and dang it looks FINE now. I call this an ESSENTIAL APP if you like gui customization to get rid of the typical smartphone clutter.

Charles Greene

Can't add some apps.. Occasionally an app will disappear from a folder I have created.. I haven't found a work around either. The app no longer shows up on the app list, and the app is installed.

Nancy Davis

Wonderful app I love this app and have been depending on it for years. However, on my new Galaxy Note 5, 6.0.1, it does not load bookmarks. That is one of the functions that makes this app so great. PLEASE, PLEASE fix this issue, as the app is not complete without it.

Jez Hoffman

Great app, can't live without I love this app, use it all the time across all my devices. I find the icon pack integration buggy and would love an option for animating the folders but even without it is essential

Gene Leonard

Needs some work It used to see my bookmarks from Chrome, doesn't anymore. Will rate again after issue is fixed

Alex Hernández

I decided to pay, because... after using the app for a long time, I was able to see the developer deserves a compensation for a great job. You install an app and is so easy to categorize the app, you will get an option to do that after the installations. You can set the icons that you like from the provided ones or your own. The backup is working, removed the free version and after the installation of the pay version restored all my folders fine. I hope to see more features and customization options on future updates.

A Google User

Stability issues under Android 7 Sometimes the widgets disappear for no apparent reason and I need to reboot my device.
