FingerSpell ASL was helps you practice ASL receptive Fingerspelling.

Words or numbers are shown fingerspelled. You try to recognize the word or number before it is displayed.

Practice with the numbers 0 – 99, choose one of the three included word lists containing almost 500 words, or create your own lists of words. You can adjust the speed for individual letters and the delay between words.

Press the Start/Stop button on the main page to begin displaying fingerspelled items.

A word or number is fingerspelled. Following a short delay, the fingerspelled item is shown in the blue box.

The next word is automatically displayed, or in settings, you can select the option to choose words manually.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 I wish there was a way I could comment without giving a rating only because I didnt get to use this app long enough to give it 2 stars. I just got the Galaxy Note 4 and this app doesnt support it (it did on my Samsung Note 2). The screen display is small and I dont have access to the settings to change the speed (Samsung Note 4 doesnt have a dedication menu button as did the Note 2). When this app supports this phone, I will gladly change my rating.

Really liked I am trying to learn signing and my fingerspelling recognition is terrible. This app and ASLAlpha are really helping me get faster at learning.

Looks nothing like the preview photos. The display is so tiny and the menu is cut off.

-Jenny Screen was to little! the advertisement was blocking the hand movements! I just don't recommend this app for anyone its a huge letdown no point in downloading it. (._. )

Tamara Brown

Great learning tool I love this app. It makes it easy to practice fingerspelling. I can tell that it is helping me improve my skills. I like that I can control the speed and choose from different categories of words.

Dani Nielsen

Menu wouldn't open fully I needed to slow stuff down. I went into the menu and choose slow for everything but I couldn't get it to stay slow. I think I needed to hit accept but couldn't see it. Could only see the menu options not the category of what the options were for.

Ceth Baumann

Love it except I don't know how to get additional lists. Otherwise, I've gotten fast reading fingerspelling.

Too fast and top small. They need an option to slow it down and make the video bigger. Plus there was nothing for signing numbers.

Its a good app but is kind of hard to use when you have just started learning asl. I wish there was an option to change how fast it signs but other than that great app.

Marco Rubio

Too tiny to see Can't you adjust the display so it covers the whole phone?

Amy Hernandez

Its alright Well it is ok just that it is to fast

deb obrien

Very helpful app...

Danielle Woods

Can't find settings I get a small window with only animals as my words. Tried to find settings, tried scrolling up, down, and side side. Nothing. Just a blue rainbow background and a small screen

Reading practice Good to see words spelled back to a beginner just learning. It is different skill to read vs to sign. Wish pictures were clearer but for a free app, not bad.

Very helpful practice Excellent tool to learn to read finger spelling. Increases comprehension speed. I really like how configurable the app is. Wish users could upload their own word files to use...

Need App to SD Nice app, it fs names, animals, & fruit/veg, & you can adjust the speed. It's helping me for my ASL class to read finger spelling better & faster. It would be nice if it would fs random words too. But the app just needs to move to the SD card & then it'd be great.

Karen Goodner
