Apk file size: 1.2 MB

Easily change the last modification date and time of your files. This app requires ROOT access and BusyBox.
On Android OS, every time you copy a file, the last modified date of the destination file is not preserved. For instance, if you copy an image file (i.e. picture), the Photo Gallery app will show the new file in the wrong order.

Use File TimeStamp to change the last modification date of your files.

This app is particularly useful when copying files between devices. Run the app on the original device (does not require root on that device), copy your files and an additional text file generated by the app to the new device. Run the app again on the new device (with ROOT access) and easily change the date of your files.

File TimeStamp also allows you to change the date of all your images at once, based on their file name or on EXIF Tag of JPEG files.

You can change the date of a single file or in batches.

Currently the application can handle image files with names that include the patterns "YYYYMMDDHHmmss", "yyyyMMdd_HHmmss" or "xxx_YYYYMMDDHHmmss". If your images use another mask, send us an e-mail and we'll consider including it on a new version.

Also compatible with Facebook and WhatsApp masks.

Any questions or suggestions, please send us an email to [email protected]

Application Permissions:
- Internet and network access, to allow the display of advertisements.
- Modify SD card contents, and test access to protected storage: to allow files to be saved on the memory card.
- SuperUser: the changing operation date of the file is only possible with root access.

Worked perfectly for images Just missing the same feature for other files that are stored with time mask. Particularly mp4! I imported lots of media from a WP and this set all images right, but the mp4s continue with bad timestamp. ALso the ability to edit/create masks would be awesome.

Aaron Blankenship

Saved the day My hair was all in a fuss when Kitkat was blocking my rsync file dates. This app fixed all my old videos (3 years worth, 3 devices) and let me create a nice 1 Second a Day. The file name mask worked great.

Alex A

Works pretty well, needs a new mask. It worked really well with pics that had exif data. For the ones that didn't, it wasn't able to process a bunch of pictures from an old phone (HTC DINC) that saved in a date format the app doesn't support. I sent an email in the hopes of an update.

Angel Trinidad

Finally The only app that worked on restoring the timestamps off all my photos after switching phones. Many thanks.

Papas Fritas

With the new update, the app works perfectly for PM times as well as AM times.

Simon Lee

Does what it says on the tin It's the only method I've found for changing the date in a way that 1 Second Everyday recognises

Anthony DeMichael

Fixed my gallery I transferred some pics and vids from internal storage back over to SD after SD filled up and overflowed. Gallery viewed these as the date I transferred them even though the file names represented the correct dates. I couldn't correct these manually thru Gallery or Root Explorer. This let me correct them one by one, then I let it process the whole Gallery folder and it straightened everything out perfectly. The UI is a little clunky but not terrible, and you don't need to spend much time in it anyways.

CWM fixer Fixes dates for CWM backup files, finally a great little tool

Daryl Osbrink

Doesn't work in Lollipop I rooted my new Moto X just so that I may use the app, but I couldn't get it to work. I've installed BusyBox, so I don't know what could be the problem. It always fails with an error message. I've emailed the developer, but he hasn't responded.

Omar Zuberi

Perfect!! Fantastic app!! Exactly what I needed to fix the timestamp issue on photos I transferred over from my old tablet. Does need root - FYI. Big thank you to the developer!

Rani Korkise

Great app I loved almost everything about and it's the only app I found that does this so accurately and safety. The only thing I didn't like is when locating file by file it doesn't remember last folder path, so you have to relocate... Also some date formats of old phone photos are not recognised... Nonetheless, thanks for this great app!

Gaurav Verma

Does what it says beautifully!!! Awesome. Superbly simple to change timestamp of all types of files. Love it.

Kelvin Cheng

Awesome Great tool that help my files got organized again. However, I found a bug that it does not work on non-English characters eg Chinese. I would give five stars if this could be fixed in next version.

Nguyen Thanh

Good but... It would be great if there were a option to sort files by date, name, ...etc.

Digesh Patel

Very useful utility Batch operations are needed.

Robin Lennox

Great App One click, all my images and videos have the correct timestamp!

Andrea Pignani

Well done! It worked really well!

Marc Lile

Perfect. Took a while before my videos showed up in the correct order, but it worked. Also... I'd be willing to pay a couple of bucks for a version without ads.

Alwin de B

no 24hr timestamp?? example: IMG_20140210_204920.jpg gets it's creation date set to 10 feb. 14 08:49:00 (morning) I would expect it would be set to 10 feb 14 20:49:20 (evening) It would be nice to have this fixed

Colin Reddig

Needs work on time!! Some photos which were taken at night (PM) show up as AM. Please fix this! Otherwise, great, will rate 5 stars when this is fixed.

Michael Nguyen

Does exactly what it does This is a great app that I use to change the file date so other apps can properly see the file. This is -literally- a life saver.

A Google User

Lionel Young

Mauro Cattaneo

Where google doesn't arive... ...arrive this software! Finally the problem of video not in correct order in the gallery is solved! THANK YOU!

Darío Martínez Batlle

Makes my life easier I keep an 1 Second Everyday of my newborn and my wife sends me videos, but they get the transfer timestamp, losing the original date. After rooting my device, this app allowed me to reset dates to their originals and keep my 1SE tidy. I reported an issue with this app and the developer fixed it SUNDAY NIGHT. Great support from him.

Mychi Nexus

perfect, now with EXIF support a very useful app

Sunny Saini

Seconds Problem For per file manual timestamp change, seconds part of the file time can not be set as desired but is set as current time's second. Otherwise good program. Should have option to set if 10 digit Unix Time is also entered.

Marc Directo

Exactly what I was looking for. Developer was very responsive when I came up against an issue.

Efid CRTDbyEf

rarely and very usefull apps, many thanks. suggestion for this apps so we can change manually the "second" field also.

Jared Vanore

Works as described, However... I can not get the application to work with Android 6.0 marshmallow Works flawlessly on nexus 5 jellybean.

KS Ding

Doesn't work It says it needs busybox but i do have both root and busybox.... What went wrong?

Digesh Patel

Very useful utility

Rose Brown

Fixed up my picture file dates! When I copied my pictures using the LG File Manager to an external SD card, all my photos ended up the same date. This great utility fixed the file dates for me.

B.J. So

Excellent at what it does Total feeds the ocd in me to have the correct timestamps on my photos. Finally they're all correct. Thank you!

Amr Khaled

Excellent I wish if i can select single file to fix

Harsh Mandan

Amazing App! Does what it is supposed to.

Ami Y.

Does not seem to work on Android 4.1.2 Keeps complaining about busy box although the latest version is installed. Tried older busy box versions as well. Tested on galaxy s3. Works fine on my 5.1.1 note 4 with the same busy box version. Please fix

MC Legaspi

It works! My photos changed their dates without me doing anything that i know of, it drove me nuts! I uses this and now everything is back to normal! A big thank you!

A Google User

works perfect props to pogsoft!! whatsapp mask works now

Sunny Saini

Seconds Problem Seconds part of a file timestamp can't be changed. What's the use of an App when it can not accomplish the work it is made for?

Sunny Saini

Seconds Problem Seconds part of a file timestamp can't be changed. What's the use of an App when it can not accomplish the work it is made for? TIP! Files timestamp can be changed up to seconds using Total Commander App.

Andrew Fleury

It didn't process all of the files in my folder for some reason even though they all have the same naming scheme (YYYYmmDD_HHmmss). This applied to both some pictures and video (mp4) files. LG G4 on Lollipop, external SD as storage.

Guy Krumer

Used to work great... Stopped working correctly. When running the EXIF option on a folder with many files it fails with an error. Checked the log to see if related to a specific file but found that it fails no matter what...

Andrej Tobola

Superb! This is the best app I could find in market! Pro version is too expensive...

gogo gogo

I love it it's really work as I expect,,, thanx

Michael Young

Used to work It used to work on my Nexus 6p on 6.0.1; however, it doesn't work on 7.0. I did contact the developer through email, but he hasn't responded yet.
