Do your Centrelink business with Express Plus Job Seekers - simple, fast, mobile.
The Australian Government’s Express Plus Job Seekers app helps job seekers report their income and changes in circumstances to Centrelink. No need to visit an office or wait on the phone!
Job seekers on Newstart Allowance, Youth Allowance or Parenting Payment (with participation requirements) can view their payments, view letters, receive reminder messages and in most circumstances report their employment income.
To use the app, job seekers can use their existing Centrelink Customer Access Number (CAN) and Centrelink online account password to set up their 4-digit PIN for the first time.
Logging into the app each time is simple – only a 4-digit PIN is required.
Who can use the app?
Most job seekers receiving Newstart Allowance, Youth Allowance or Parenting Payment (with participation requirements) who:
• have a Centrelink online account, and
• own an Android device.
Services available via Express Plus Job Seekers
• report employment income
• use a reporting timesheet to record daily earnings
• report changes in circumstances and personal details
• subscribe to and access Centrelink Online Letters
• view and apply for advance payments (if you are over 18)
• view payment history
• request a Centrelink statement, income and asset statement and payment summary
• store letters and documents in the Secure Vault
• receive reporting reminders
• view any debts you owe
• find your local service centre
• capture and upload documents
• find available BasicsCard merchants
• view Income Management and BasicsCard details
• transfer funds to or from your BasicsCard.
Some permissions are necessary to allow the app to work effectively with your device. We do not use or keep this information for departmental purposes.

Required for the office locator and directions. We do not store your whereabouts.
YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Required to allow you to use the timesheet feature for reporting. We do not retrieve any details from your calendar.
Required to allow you to contact us while using the app. We do not log your calls.

Angry about the new app! An attempt to get everyone to use the same app! WARNING TO ALL: MAKE SURE YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOUR PASSWORD IS! I had to download the Centrelink app as prompted by this app, and then had to re-enter my password, and after two unsuccessful attempts, I have been blocked from my account for a simple Caps Lock mistake. Uninstalled the other as I have discovered that it is unneccesary to have two apps and has also caused an inconvenience to my reporting schedule, and has utilised data that didn't need to be used. Why fix something that doesn't need fixing?!
Older version much better Updated to new version and current 4 digit password had been erased? Have to go back to the website and reset my password again.. Pathetic.

Good for submitting reports and viewing letters Should have reminders build in: for fortnightly reports and Centrelink / Job Search Provider appointments.
Typical Just like talking to someone on the phone or walking in and speaking to someone in person, something has to go wrong as it always says "services are temporarily disabled"
Its bloody great. Works best on andriod not iOS.
Not good at all, terrible app. Not worth downloading!!!!!!!!!!! Terrible app as it is WAAAAAAYYYY too slow. It's faster just to use the Internet to do it. Can't you make an update to make the app faster? I would put -5 stars. >.<
Works some times Only opens when it wants to. Please fix it. It breaks down to often.

Organized Just need updates for appointments
Annoying popup Get rid of the healthcare card popping up every second you try to do something!!!
Fix the vault and upload features and the submit process Electronic documents can't be saved and submitted. They have to be printed on paper and "captured" saved. It took me one week to submit saved documentation. Not sure what is required with the submit process for it to submit successfully.
Upload Document Fix Required When needing to upload a document - the app's camera mode does not allow the user to select image from their phone gallery. The app's camera mode is of very POOR quality, resulting in blurry shots of the document - Hence defeating the whole purpose of the app's upload feature. The user ends up frustrated, the rising queues and workload for PSOs.
No longer works Since I updated now when I type in my 4 digit code it shows the loading box for a second then just stays on my typed in code with no options. I can't log in or anything. Really, really frustrating
poorly designed app; BEWARE: requires too much metadata; location, handset id, Google account info, installs as device admin (government backdoor?!). CyanogenMod et al versions of Android mitigate these privacy invasions. Poorly handled user info over network; data packets are easily sniffed and examined using Linux and Wireshark. Use a trusted web browser with https enabled, or que up to hand in your form. Like when before the Internet was on computers. DHS can do much better.
Crap! Got told to use app to submit documents because it was near closing time and nobody wanted to do it. Surprise surprise it won't let me.
Useless Typical govt....nothing works...I log in and all I get is a white screen with "express plus" in the top left hand corner....I spoke to the "IT" person at my local office, who said "don't know, can't help, uninstall and re-install, change your password and see how you go"....done that and surprise surprise, no change...USELESS JUST USELESS
Incompatibility... I'm a bit confused. How can an 'update' be coined as such (when clearly, this is the very antithesis of UP-TO-DATE) by virtue of it's epic instability to successfully log in for longer than a nanosecond without logging back out again?? I'm confused because the current operating system running on my s5 IS actually up to date, so... I'm left to wonder whether this 'update' is either incompatibile with the CURRENT DATE, or that it's title is a lie ... just like how the cake was...
Worse and worse It was great app.. but its getting worse every day.. so slow..lagging. .fix it or get rid of it. . 1 star
Great when it works Just need to reinstall it everytime you need to report in. And it works fine. Quick and easy. The Web version just crashes my chrome.
Was working fine but update was horrible Was working and couldn't login via app, website had problems half the day, phones 40min wait unless self service. On a whim I've just resetted my pin now and now I can log in! Would have been great to have figured that out on reporting day..
Lacks MyGov authentication integration and is not at all useful if one does not have or is not able to create a centrelink online account. It was working fine but now all I receive is a blank screen after pin login with the express plus logo top right and tasks at the bottom. EDIT: the blank screen issue was resolved for me by clearing the application cache in Settings->Applications->locate Job Seekers app and select->tap Clear cache.
Easy to access and use but lost all my info on the latest update Since the update it freezes. I was tracking my casual work on the calender. This afternoon I log in to add todays working hours and two weeks of my logged working hours have been lost on the calender. As I haven't tracked my daily hours anywhere else, I will now have to estimate the hours I worked. Grrrrrr!
Appointments.. This is a good app but would be better if you could show appointments with job service providers.
Constant crashing !!! Considering this is the national app for job seekers and should have been descrashesnd t by the government it is full of faults eg. What is the point in giving a document upload feature (to save the staff/customers time and unnecessary man hours handing simple forms in by person) if the app crashes everytime you go to upload one? Or the fact it doesn't simply allow you to upload a presaved file you have to take a photo live from you camera? A ridiculously inconvenient feature. Asides from the usual crashes
Needs to have capability to attach files. Instead of printing doc, taking photo & then uploading should be able to attach doc from computer/tablet/phone files. For eg - my payslips are emailed to me as a pdf but I have to print them, take photo & upload which means I'm wasting paper & time.
Suzette It might be your mobile software version. If your phone isnt using a suitable siftware the app wont open completely. Upgrade from your nokia 3315 and try again rather then dissing an app rhat runs fine for everyone else.
Why am I still consulting in-office? Get online! Needs updating|fix|bettering. Shouldn't require visiting Centrelink offices and service centres to check on slow and nonresponsive service; weak fruition of the guarantees to "self-service" and "time saving"... The departments remain horribly inefficient
UTTER Rubbish Twice now I'm told by centerlink to re-install the Job Seekers app, and yet the same problem over and over seems to be continuing...nothing but white screen..Either fix this app or get rid of this utter rubbish...
Upload document doesn't work I was in centrelink and they told me to just use this app to Upload file didn't work redid upload six more times still doesn't work useless as always
Last Update Ruined It! It worked flawlessly until the last update, then I couldn't log in as when I put my pin it it did nothing. Uninstalled and reinstalled to be able to report.
Would've given 5 stars, but... Please fix the app so I can send photos of medical certificates instead of going into the actual Centrelink office to hand them in. It works for iPhones, why not Androids?
Very functional This app works well on my device and is so much easier than having to cancel part-time work hours to drag myself in to the Centyrelink office and stand in a queue for an hour just to hand in this or that form. It's easy to use and the best feature is that it lets you report your income directly using your smartphone. You can even upload a document by taking a photo of it but you had better have a good camera or Centrelink will call you back to ask for a scan. The only weird thing is that when you download a statement it doesn't seem to download onto your phone, just into the app which means you can only view it not do anything with it.
Very poorly made worst app i've honestly ever used, if the website was any better i'd use that but its worse even than this somehow... both app & website have ridiculously slow loading times & are very poorly formatted and set out, i think the aust government decided to save money rather than actually giving the aust people sumtin they need.
Average. Liked but for a better all inclusive user friendly app- Great functions but more app functions needed such as add PR change deduction, make a claim through the app, lodge and download rent certificate and Centrelink medical certificate plus many more
Doesn't make things easier. Difficulty accessing site, often told to try again later, also there isn't much you can do. I only use it to report.
Wost ever Was working but now wont work
Broken but functioning Poor UI, and long loading times, not much help on where most things are... But gets the job done on most cases... After you find it.
I put my 4 digit pin in and I can't go to the next page. It's crap
Broken functionality The last update broke the 'Import from Timesheet' function. I now have to manually calculate my hours and income. So frustrating.

Horrible 90% of the time you will get the same message when you open the app saying centerlinks services are temporarily unavailable. Very irritaing please fix.

Works atleast It works very easy to use and understand unlike the new version which is horrible to use and very confusing that's if you get passed the load screen
I use the Centrelink webpage cause the App never opens. How about reliability over 'looking flash'. Comment updated 15/6/2015. Rarely works. Works maybe 1/5 attempts...considered thought here.
