Wrong permissions? It say that this app do not need any permissions put it still sneak out on internet to download adds, I do often accept adds as long as the premisson say that it need acesd to Internet. In no of the preview images are adds or that space visible so I see this as the developers try to fool the users then there is better free version on Play Store.

A Google User

Nice tool for quick dof calculation Hate the adds though. Willing to pay for a "Pro" version without adds. BTW. Haven't seen any miscalculations of dof yet. It does a good job.

Robert Parks

Great App For Quick DOF Info Easy to use and has several common Camera/Lens attribute preloaded for quick updates when changing lens.

S Cargill

Wow This app will save you in certain situations. No more bokeh ears or blurred family in the back of your main subject

Joshua Son

Dof calculations incorrect When choosing a 50mm 1.4 at 10 meters on full frame and m43 they show different dof. Thats incorrect. At the same distance with the same focal length and aperture they should have the same dof. It shows m43 as having much thinner dof however.

Fito Rodríguez

Great I suggest a graphics improvement. Something Android L-esque maybe...

Michael Burke

Note to developer. Only remembers settings in Quick & Manual Modes. Settings in Aperture mode reverts to a default on my LG VS-890 4G Android 4.4.2.

David Rosenberg

Does what I want Simple DOF calculator. For the low ratings claiming the calculations are incorrect because the values are different for full frame cameras vs crop cameras: those reviewers are wrong. All DOF calculators ask for sensor size because that changes THE IMAGE'S angle of view and/or shooting distance

James Dima

Useful tool I'd pay for an ad-free version.

John Gulizia

Complete waist of an app! Does nothing.

David Hall

DOF Calculator Does what it says on the tin. A very useful app for the serious amateur (like me). If I had a criticism, it would be that setting a specific camera in a set-up menu at the start rather than entering your camera on each and every screen (yes you can save them in the custom calculators) but how many of us have more than one SLR.

Carmen Maldonado

I have a canon sx50hs. What would be my setup.

Ian Blay

Nice Just what I was looking for. Well thought out.

Mark Fisher

Units Please When you've got zero significant figures 'cause you haven't changed to appropriate units you really need to take a long hard look at yourself in the mirror. EDIT: 7 s.f. is just as bad.

Kalyan Koley

Annoying ads

Cornell Tramontana

too cumbersome

Roger Pringle

Depth of field calculator. Works well for the depth of field calculation but the hyperfocal distance bears no relation to reality. For a subject distance of 12 inches for example, it suggested a hyperfocal distance of over 3000 inches. Given that the dof was only 0.1 inches I rest my case

Andy Schaeffer

LOVED this app when I first downloaded it; with recent updates, now it's just misery to use. Whatever I pick as a unit of measurement, I get the results in centimeters. When I'm actively working a shoot, the last thing I need to be doing is converting in my head. PUH-leeze let me revert to the older working app.

Craig Barratt

A bit rustic Works well, seems to be accurate and is simple enough, maybe too simple when it comes to the aesthetic, photographers are often a little funny about that.

Ken Livesey

I like the new UI but really, really hate that it now includes ad's. Would absolutely support a paid version if it stopped the ad's. Well done on an excellent photographic tool. Would be happy to pay for no ad's.

Kan Kumar

Nice.. Does what it suppose to do very-well...

John C

What a shame !!! What a shame that the author does not advise that this app contains ADDS. ADDS use my data. When I come from, EVERY byte of data costs me money, therefore this app is NOT FREE. It costs me money via these dumbarse adds. app deleted

Xavier Ruiz

Good, but but too detailed when on field

Max K

Updated GUI is the best so far New GUI is much better than the version with sliders. Well done!

Richard Jozefowski

I hate the ads I regret updating to version 2.2 today. I thought it was odd that it wanted permission for network access. Of course, it's for the ads. I quite like the new version but I find the ads terribly intrusive. It drove me to install Adblock Plus, which works but isn't ideal. How about releasing a chargeable 'Pro' version for those of us who can't stand the ads? Otherwise I fear I'll be uninstalling.

E. Geno Frazier

Amazing App This developer has created an amazing and easily customizable app. Note when listing cinema cameras he uses F stops instead of T stops. Update: The new permissions seem to exist for ads.

Nico Ras

New UI not nice What used to be an easy to use app is not so easy anymore. To select the exact settings with the scroll bar is not working well on a cell phone. Prefer older interface.

Chris Lamb

Does what other apps do but with added adverts! Don't change your app to be ad driven without giving the option for a paid version without the intrusive marketing. Aside from that, if you can ignore the adverts it does the job.

Jenny Gavin-Wear

New version : ( Why did you have to change a perfectly good app? Please change it back. Subject distance won't change from metric. I use this a lot, maybe time to find something new.

David Jory

Old version was much better. Give us the old interface back!

Sean Goodhart

U I now difficult I prefer the previous version, it seemed easier to use.

Ron Stransky

Don't like the new interface Not easy to set the distance. Not a great upgrade, sorry

Steve Walsh

Not useful anymore Can't even figure out how to get more than 1000cm subject distance. Need to return the direct data entry capability.

N Adams

Quick, simple Exactly what is required. Could be improved further by: * Listing more current camera models, e.g. Canon 700D and 70D, and perhaps grouping them with headings, e.g. 'Canon Full Frame' and 'Canon APS-C' * Include hyperfocal distance above table when in Av mode. [UPDATE: April '14: New version still doesn't show hyperfocal distances in Av mode's table. Add that and this tool would be complete.]

A Google User

Nice update Sliders make it quicker in the field to backward engineer a needed f/stop for a given dof.

Captain Packrat

Ruined This used to be a great app, but not anymore. Uninstalling.

reggie b

Very helpful app that's easy to use.

Пользователь Google

Pentax, not Pentex. Please fix.

Gary L

Rubbish Don't know why you would keep this one. Other DoF apps give a visual display of the Depth of Field, much more intuitive than this one, and they're free, this one has ads. Misses the mark! Well I didn't 'hate it' just that other apps do it much better :(

Akum Chang

Loved it
