Frustrating to use Next to impossible to change locations. If like me, you want to check out a few different holiday destinations, it seems to just stick to the first one. Well behind the likes of trip advisor.

Michelle Behan

Could have been good First of all 80mb is way too big for an app. Secondly, looks outdated. Functionality is poor.

Sergey Parshin

Crashes on start

Mike Basile

Initial set up painful This app could be good, I have no idea. After downloading a colossal 80MB for the app, I then have to sync which is taking forever on a 120mb internet connection. Fire your dev team and start again.

michael watkins

Horrible updates Updates are huge and time out often..... Network or data updates fail constantly...

Rogério Cruzeiro

Maps and sync don't work This is a classic example of "trying to bite more than you can chew". The apps tries to do so many things and ends doing nothing. It's unstable, super slow, the sync mechanism is a joke and HD maps don't work. This app needs a complete redesign. (HTC One)

aaron kenny

Socking Wow, 100mb download!!! On what planet did that 100mb sound like a good idea? The offline data argument simply doesn't cut it. Fáilte Ireland should make their data publicly available to developers so that some decent apps can be created. At the end of the day it might help Irish tourism.

Keith Dickinson

DI App Good idea but terrible App Sorry DI, I love the idea of your App, but it is simply terrible. It is huge by any standard, unstable, could not get the HiRes maps to work., others can add to the list. I don't know who developed it but its clear that the project manager should be looking for a job somewhere else.

Paul McCann

Waste of space, extremely buggy Firstly, yes, it is much too large. That wouldn't be so bad if it actually worked though. Even though I downloaded the enhanced maps, they still disintegrate when you zoom in. Also, stop asking me to sync, it is not five days since I synced. I downloaded this morning, synced, you said it was done but then you keep asking me to sync again because it's been five days, yet the timestamp is for today! Very irritating, total waste of the money it cost to develop.

David O'Doherty

Good idea very badly implemented Very poor app which is a pity considering it is ostensibly an official Tourist Board app.

Seán P Barry

Download errors! Tried to download many times but gets package file invalid error every time. File too big, should be divided into smaller add-ons which can be downloaded separately. Your software devs messed up!

Paul OMara

Pretty but too big and stubborn Over 100mb of a download and the first thing you have to do is run an update! Update will not work over WiFi and is too slow to be useful over 3G. Maps disintegrate if you try to zoom in. Total space required is over 220mb. Nexus 4 phone.

Declan O'Sullivan

Full of issues Firstly, 1 Star and 5 Star reviews only? Must be both the worst and best app ever. Could you ask your staff/developers to stop leaving silly reviews? Secondly, the app is too big. I don't care about the 8 million listings, it's way too big. Needs trimming and management, and is so badly coded from a storage perspective, it's just simply inefficient. It does not scale properly on Android phones, and the AR is annoying to say the least (Yes I know I can swivel the phone, I don't need to be told every 1.3 seconds). On the plus side (and the only reason it does not get 1 star), the app is beautifully designed and flows form screen to screen really nicely. Finally, it crashes. It has Java errors all over the place, does not update properly and is prone to crashing in Airplane mode. This is not how we should be showcasing Ireland, and there are other apps out there doing what you are trying to do, but only much better. Have a look at other apps, and please fix ASAP. Declan

Slow It took about ten minutes to load on the second go... Crashed the first time..... Way too big of an app lucky I'm on three with all you can eat data otherwise all my credit would be gone.... :'(

Darren McCormack

Terrible This is quite possibly one if the worst apps I have ever seen or used. Very bad.

Neil O'Sullivan

Constantly crashing App crashes every time I try and search a category. I like the idea of it but it's useless to me at the minute. I've tried a reinstall a couple of times.

Nessa Toale

Going to uninstall I can't even open the app. Ridiculous.

Shane Lynch

Nice app Decent app to get info about what's happening locally

alan kent

Won't even extract the files and keeps failing

Mehdi Haghandish

Worst app ever 5 min download on WiFi and several hours of extracting. Give up now since it is not worth the effort

Padraig Kelly

Doesn't sync Nice app with some useful info. Unfortunately it keeps failing when I try to sync it even over WiFi

Chris Collins

Way too big. Ever heard of cloud computing? I don't need to download the whole database just to see one row. Even then you can't search by date or event type only by rigid location. Very poor effort. No thoughts spent on usability.

Jonny Watters

Errors Errors errors errors you'd think with tourism being so important to the economy a little more preparing would be obvious. Not good guys.

Gerry McClair

Useless Downloaded very slow maps are rubbish. Waste of time

Gavin Fitzpatrick

Crashes and updates don't work Make sure your application works before expecting people to download it

David O'Callaghan

Crashing Too big crashing, auto locate instead of letting me set location. Uninstalled

Cormac McCarthy

Not great Installed it and immediately regretted it and uninstalled. Pity as the discover Ireland material generally is excellent.

Do No Evil

Ridiculously large The app is over 75 meg then it extracts to over 100meg in your device. Then it downloads HD maps that are far inferior to Google maps. Then the To Do/Go/Eat info just links to websites. For Cork simply download PROC. It's smaller and quicker. There are similar apps for other counties. Entertainment Ireland etc. also smaller, quicker and easier to use.

Derek Boate

Useless Information years out of date !!

Michael Grace

Keeps crashing and massive download Completely unusable

Gordon Hannon

Excellent app Brilliant app made my bank holiday weekend :-)

david harkin

It's ok.. The bizlocator app in the south east of ireland is much better

Ari G

"Looking for resources to download", crash, rinse and repeat.. (Galaxy S5)

Melker Hansson

Lots of quirks but at least it works offline Have downloaded "HD maps" for the area but can't zoom in to see streets: the download message still shows up. Very dated, clunky design. Icons on map should give an idea of the type of POI, at least by color.
