This app will use the phone microphone to measure environmental noise decibels (dB) and show a value for reference. With this app, you can easily measure the current level of environmental noise. Simple operation and easy to use.
The high decibel value will be harmful to your physical and mental health and hearing function. You'd better avoid exposure in noisy environments.

TACOTY APP part of our Tools and have average installs from 1000000 to 5000000. Last Update March 6, 2016. Google play rating is 68.4209. Current verison is 1.5.4. Actual size 3.4 MB.
Broken by update Completely unusable after the latest update. Meter no longer extends past ads, and it has a fullscreen ad on exit.
Didn't work for me either On my LG LS670 Optimus running Android 2.3.3 just stayed at a "loading" screen.....
Yeahhh so my 4 hds215s on 6000 watts pushed 152db at slamology on there db meter and this thing is telling me 86db lololol what a joke.
Hard to read This would be okay if you could read the graph its behind the numbers you should not put different screens over the top of each other so you can't read what's behind it things are too small to read you should be able to click the graph and expand to make it bigger. Where's the screen to reference decibel levels
Won't go past 89db in a factory Fix it and I'll re-install
Not accurate... I was in a concert that was so lound it it was showing barely 80db. I used an iPhone with another app and it showed 98db.
It doesn't work I downloaded this app so I could take measurments at a drag race and it wouldn't even go over 90 decibels. I know for a face it was at least 150 decibels cause it hurt my ears even with protection.
Bad app This app is so not right... when I was outside and a car came by it said "80" which said very painful on the chart... it was NOT painful at all. That thing is a lie and a fake.
its very basic does ok, job but would be better to be able to go over 90, abd an option of average DB.
Useless Doesn't go past 90. How the hell am I supposed to calibrate it if I have nothing to base it on?
PROS and CONS PRO: Accurate results when compared to other apps. Provides a relevant reference for db ranges via pop-up screen. Sound meter and graph on one page. Exit app with back button double tap. CON: no ability to obtain a weighted measurement (the only relevant measurement in human sound. Also the measurement specified by noise laws / building codes) (no app tested has this ability). OVERALL: good
Good enough - except for the graph I see people talk about accuracy, but my experience is that for "normal levels" it is fine. But downgraded because the scale on the graph doesn't represent the reading - for my phone, there is a 20db difference. But overall, better than other similar apps. Just waiting for a bug fix.
Inaccurate I was sitting in the car and was talking and it said it was 90 db and the app said 90 db is painful I didnt feel any pain It was almost silent in the car this app is Total garbage
Okay With my new sound system it was show 106 and others were showing 115 and above
Not right I got this to see how loud my truck is and it only goes to 90 dbs evens out when I'm still going louder and i know it's way louder
Seems to work Nice looks. Numbers are fine, but words are not in English.
Total garbage, does not work Just installed it. Sitting in a silent room with nothing but my laptop fan as sound and it is showing 40+ decibels sitting on the front of my laptop. Hitting 60+ just from the sound of my keyboard.
Meter Does not work when I first install it
Useful I use this to calibrate my home theater system. Works great. Although, not sure why it needs GPS permissions. Seems a bit excessive.
? Won't do anything but say lagging on my LG optimus prime elite
Not bad This works fine for lower levels but stops at 90 dbs! I was using it for a while before I realised!
It's fast I got another but I didn't like it so I deleted it
Lousy Not very accurate. Poor db meter. Uninstall. Why so many unnecessary permissions?????
Accurate! Not limited to 80 dB, and is very accurate, great job!
Not right I was at the indy 500 it never hit over 90 not right
Terrible and Inaccurate This app says a whisper is dangerous. Don't get it.
Sucks Totally unrealistic I would never recomend it. Waste of space on your fone.
Fail Caps out around 90, maybe it's s hardware limitation of a phone mic, but either way is inconsistent and vertu much a rough draft app
I like it but It only measures to 90db. Is this the device I used it on or a limit in the app? I don't know but that is my only complaint that stops it from getting a 5 star.
Inacurate This s app does not correctly measure db levels
It is not right... 85db is the level of volume that you can start to lose hearing... i was clapping and it was 89
Galaxy Note 4.0.4: Problem with circular meter.
I put it up to a professional sound meter and the reading was about 20db lower then what the professional one was reading. Not sure if I just needed to calibrate it or what, but then there wasn't really any explanation on how to calibrate the app
Poor quality Won't go past 89db when environment is well over 100 dB! Junk!
David Dodd Very nice and cool too!
Don't bother Don't bother installing its just an advert bomb waiting for you exit the app then BOOM non stop adverts ,be warned
Calabirate Doesnt show where it saves the calabirate
Can't tell if it's accurate and too many ads Instructions say to calibrate first but no instructions about how to do it properly or for how long. Ads scrolling on the bottom obscure a grid of some sort. No help at all--click on help and get useful info about noise levels but nothing about using the app uninstalling it.
Used to be good Graphics dont work on my G7 so became unusable for me. Shame, used to be A1.
Not calibrated, no gauge, graph view blocked by ads.
Doesn't show the pretty colors on the scale :(
Ehhh...... Not special, nonexistent interface. Graphics are amateurish. Actual db output doesn't seem correct.
No way it is accurate Regular conversation shows the same as my 4 year old's ear drum-shattering scream.
