ALK Technologies, Inc part of our Travel & Local and have average installs from 10000 to 50000. Last Update Dec. 21, 2015. Google play rating is 79.8103. Current verison is Varies with device. Actual size 0 bytes.
Very Good! I'm an appraiser and drive to numerous properties most days. This app works great with very few errors. My only recommendation would be to offer desktop integration so you could input all of your destinations on a PC.
After update After update it says that I have 12 free months of active traffic but once I try to enable the feature I get an error message of 806.
POI POI Needs to be increased on the maps otherwise it is great apps and very helpful even in my city I use it to get away from traffic jams. It is great and wonderful. Thanks to all Co-Pilot team.
Stay away, save your money Here's the update, I gave a few more tries and found, it's not too bad, revising my rating from 1 to 3, will update later. First Review I bought this when it was offered at low price but I still regret that waste of money. I gave it a try twice but it miserably failed, I have doubt about play store reviews seems fishy to me. I drove from west suburb to Chicago via I-290 but during whole route it behaves pathetic, same on my way back to Suburb. If you guys are looking for something good and free Waze is 10 times better than this and if your preference is offline maps HERE beta(download from their website) and NAVIGATOR on play store, is far better than this, paid app.
Works OK, but has its annoyances Works good, but the layout is a bit complex. It does periodic traffic updates instead of automatically rewriting you to the least traffic areas like Waze. But, you can download off line maps which is a bonus. Voice instructions are very computer like and not nearly as clear as the free Google Maps voice guidance.
Awesome App! Worth the money! This app is great. As a Republic Wireless user, it is great to have access to a fully downloaded map app for navigation. The price is great, and means I don't need a standalone GPS device.
New version stinks Worked great until I switched phones. Now it won't let me sign in. I have tried resetting passwords etc, but won't accept it. Big fail.
Truck Driver GPS with save maps and downloadable custom voices. Would give 5 stars but there is an occasional error. Wish I could customize color and color intensity a little more. Burned the image into my AMOLED screen but I used for hours on end. Black/Night time screen helps alleviate this but some dashboard items are bright, don't move and leave a ghost image as well.
Wonderful app Great app does exactly what it says. Works better then Google Maps and doesn't require a data connection. Keep up the great work.
Worth the $$$ Using CoPilot on a Samsung Galaxy Pro 8.4 tablet currently & it works perfect. I've been using CoPilot for the last 4 years with past minimal complaints/problems. I have the 8.4" tablet on a fork stem mounted panel on my Hayabusa. Don't forget to buy touchscreen usable motorcycle gloves; The ICON Justice gloves are good for sport bike riders like myself.
Best Android gps Very accurate and up-to-date. Finding and setting up navigation for points of interest could be a little more user friendly, but overall this app is awesome! Definitely worth getting premium version. It's paid for itself many times over!!!!
Excelent GPS program I use this program all of the time. Runs very well. Is easy to use. Never get lost. I would recommend it to anyone.
Pretty good and much better than google Works fine but be sure to do prep work at home before heading out on an adventure. Maps take time update. Pasting an address is very tricky, so pull over!
Force close on S4 I uninstalled it previously because I needed more space on my phone. Today reinstalled but it force close. Please fix or refund my money. Thanks
Now compatible with Droid Turbo I contacted support and got a response back. Looking forward to using this again. Hopefully soon. Update: 3/30/15 Just got an email today saying that the problem with Droid turbo is fixed. Downloaded it and it works perfectly. Good customer support and communication. I love this app, worth every penny.
The app takes forever to locate while other apps have done so a long time ago.
Good so far I like the program so far. Seems like support has canned answers.
A most have App for me. A true stand alone GPS App. Mobile Networking not needed. Save your Data usage.
Meh... I am disappointed. I was willing to pay for a GOOD app, so did my research and downloaded this one. I decided to do a trial trip to a place that I am familiar with. It told me to turn down a road that hasn't existed for over 20 years in my city. Then it wanted me to turn down some random dirt roads when I needed to just continue straight ahead on the freeway. Bottom line, I do not trust this app to navigate me out of an unknown situation.
Waste of Money Your better off to just by a cheap GPS or use Google maps app. I have found nothing but "UnNamed Road" everywhere. Complete waste of money.
Google Maps Much Better! For a paid app this is only fair. I have found that Google Maps is more accurate, has turn by turn instructions that includes street names, and it's free!
will not fully launch, wish they would Help?? LG G3. Best nav app on market. 10 stars on previous smartphones
Live traffic should be free by now I've had this app for many years now... Live traffic should be free
Senozlu1 After reinstalling unable to restore my 29.99 European maps! copilot team useless as helping there are suggesting usual uninstall delete all copilot folders and reinstall, result is same I got ripped of 30.00 bucks.
Great off line maps with multipoint routing
App Crashing stuck on from dispatch...latest update broke app
This app sucks I paid for the app for the street ame announcement feature. However all i got is turn left ,turn right when i use the GPS.i go to settings and activate language and voice, then download the appropriate voice.i still don't have street ne.Tech support is a joke.i should get a refund.
Best Nav App I have used many including TomTom and garmin and love your product
It's been a good app for me so far and love its features.
Best Navigation Ever best navigation program I have ever used....beats garmin and the likes
Co - Pilot Amazing I have used many other navigation devices over the years but this one is ideal for cell phone users without a data plan. It works, is user friendly and will be the demise of many much more extensive alternatives. It rocks!
No 4.5? Then give it a full five. It does so much right, the rare faults are too small to matter. Yes, the maps are huge. Put an SD chip into your device and put the maps there. Power your device completely off between trips. But enjoy the damned trip because it is an awesome app!
FUNtastic My Copilot got me safely, Trustingly across America.. I travelled to some mountainous remote places, yet she was still there guiding me in the dark.. Incredible! As a lone female traveller, this gave me assurance I needed.. I AM truly Grateful! We had a Blast!
Robust app but some limitations Robust app. But maps are highly innacurate and i frequently have to resort to Google navigation to locate my destination. Also the navigation animation is very jerky. But finally the issue with high res displays has been fixed and also we can now finally save maps on external SD card. Good job by the developers. I have increased my rating to 4
Awesome This is by far the best gps mapping app I've used. Directions are accurate and I like the fact that it actively notifies you of poi's, this can be customized to poi's that you want, ie gas stations, restaurant's or whatever combinations you want. When planning a trip, it gives you up to three alternative routes, but if you know you want to take a certain road this is the easiest app I've used to be able to manually adjust. Also, say you miss a turn, copilot will keep telling you to make a uturn, as most gps apps will do. With copilot though, you can tap on the map and tell it to reroute you there instead of it insisting on making uturns. This may seem minor, but it is very conveinent, and something not easily doable with other apps. All in all, worth the purchase. Edit:another great reason this is better than google maps-i have a low end phone and i can run this AND my podcast app in the car at the same time, with Google maps everything crashes. Best map and navigation app ever!
Great app except, SD storage. (updated 1/14/15) (SD card storage available on Android 4.4!) Works great and is easy to use and customize. Like the ability to save settings and configuration. Does everything a standalone GPS can do and more. The offline navigation alone is worth installing. The only downside is the inability to save maps to the SD card. On an LG39C it uses a third of the available internal app storage. I had to dump a number of important apps to keep the phone from locking up. Probably should have researched the app a little more before purchasing. Had to uninstall and go back to NAVIGON which is not as user friendly. I had assumed in this day and age large file storage on external SD would be a default. Fix that issue and it will be the best available.
Good but not excellent The navigation bar and menu are too small. After reaching a destination it won't clear it automatically, you have to clear it manually, letters are to small in the menu , GPS signals are good but sometimes take a minute on cloudy days, reroute is fast and accurate, traffic alerts most of the time are accurate, but you need cell phone with data, 3D maps are great and fast, but names of streets are too small. HI resolution compatible with 2560 X1600 (Galaxy tab pro) even in the tablet the navigation bar and menu still too small. Last update 12/17/2014 3D Navigation map too big now, names of streets (Font) still too small. It's been 1 days since the new update and I am still don't figure it out how to easily move the maps to the SD Card.12/18/2014 I Finally figure it out You can't move the maps from internal memory to an external memory. You need to delete the maps from you internal memory and download the maps to an External SD Card. "Very good for the developers!" An option to Zoom the maps and Zoom the Font will be perfect! }:>)
Does not work if you use one more Copilot, for Europe for example, in spite of payment all versions
Keeps improving, except for spelling. This App grows on me and it keeps getting better. The ability to search while offline is a life saver. Though there is some "clunk" that needs to be smoothed out here and there. Runs faster, and is way more reliable than Google Maps. "HIGHT-QUALITY" ??? Come on guys get a better spell checker or proof reader.
Great GPS, ignores your preferences though Updated this recently, while on the move, only to find that I needed to re-download the maps, which was a first since I bought the app a few years ago. Quite annoying, but ok. I made sure it was configured to use cellular data ONLY for traffic and searching, and started to download my map. 1.1gb of 2.2gb later, I used CoPilot's option & paused the download, left WiFi, and went to dinner. Somehow, the program over-rode my setting and my manual "pause" and finished my download under 4g (1gb shared. WTF)
Getting better but still Needs improvement Needs Android Wear support, ability to restore settings at initial login and to stop sending emails during first login.
Getting Better It's reasonably priced and works on all my devices equally well. I like having off line maps. I bought the European maps so I didn't have to use data. Directions are clear but still not as optimized as Google. Day to day still find myself using Google. For Windows and IPhone this is better. Voice search would be nice.
CoPilot Great app. Saved me many times. Actually is better & easier to use than my car GPS. Great when traveling - on my phone so always with me.
COPILOT PREMIUM I purchased the copilot premium last year, upgraded my phone, copilot will not open turn by turn gps now, very upset.
Absolutely worth it! 95% of the time I use Google maps, but that other 5%... When I have no data signal and I need to navigate somewhere, or when Google gets the address wrong... This is when Copilot works like a dream... Every single time.
I've had the paid version for many years -- it's a great app.
its better still feel a bit laggy..sometimes.. random graphic glitches
It has stopped working, and you have my money for an app that dosent work. I purchased this app and i was using it on my tablet. The GPS doesn't come on now while this app is on. It needs the GPS to run.
When you don't have internet This is a really good app. I travel where I don't have internet connections and this is my go to. I really like the lane guidance especially when I am in cities that I am unfamiliar with. Overall, it's easily worth the money and compared with a standalone GPS system it's a bargain. I would recommend this app.
It has most everything that I want I would like to see an option to record my tracks and be able to share it via email
Unusable after update Worked fine until I updated the app now it crashes every time I search... There is a way round it (by choosing search all categories) but then the keyboard doesn't work...
Works for me Love it. My go to app for driving
Download keeps restarting I downloaded the update and it is forcing me to download the latest maps. The USA maps are 2GB and it gets about half way and starts over. Why aren't the downloads broken into smaller chunks so it doesn't have to restart at 0. So far it is useless because I cannot download the maps.
It was great I would give a 5 star Seems like after the update I have issues with no sound at times after I upgraded to the latest android
Revised - Maps are Compromised in this version I recently installed Version: 126.96.36.1993 which deleted previous My Places so I have no history of those locations! However, the biggest issue is with the North American Map as provided. After downloading the 2.36GB file only to find that it provided less detail then the previous version. Much of Canada is no longer represented. In fact the major city of Toronto, Ontario has no road detail at all!! Big miss on this upgrade CoPilot!!. Revision... Apparently my Map of Canada (CoPilot Premium Upgrade) was overwritten with upgrade/installation of this version. Tech Support was able to reset the license to allow reload of the Map of Canada. Map detail has returned.
Still not fee worthy It's still bland. I would not purchase this nav app again, at this point.
solid, superb GPS nav app that needs no data connection, superior to any other GPS app
Best navigation app yet This is the best navigation app I've tried, thanks.
I like the new icons I have been using this for about 4 years on my phone and tablet. They have continued to improve the product.
Awsome No need to have a stand alone GPS.....perfect
too bad for me I put email it show me sory
Great for not using your data from the phone. Love the interface. ?
Great for offline navigation Easy to use and good interface. I prefer North up navigation and have to set that each time. Fortunately, that is easy to do
Better other gps
Don't waste your money! This app does not work on many devices after their 9.6.2 upgrade. This has been an issue that they have not fixed for almost 10 months. What good is navigation software that can't get a GPS fix? The only thing worse than this app is the nonexistent customer support. If you don't believe me go to their community forum site and check out all the complaints that have been ignored.
Excellent GPS I just downloaded today and compare with Magellan and Garmin GPS. Better than all navigation and fast calculation specially new York City where streets are to close and need fast calculation. I tried Magellan and this one. Magellan we can not see in the day time light. I am very pleased with this one
My Number 1 backup I've been using Copilot for over 10 years, on different phones and different platforms. This is a great program and is now used as my number one back up. I use Waze because it is interactive, social and up to date to the minute. But there are times when Waze has no GPS due to heavy weather and/or location. That's when I used Copilot, it will definitely get me to my location. The only problem I had with Copilot is that it sometimes wouldn't find your address location and ask you for a cross street. 5 stars!
The new version will not open on my lg g3 i keep getting an error then it close so i just revert it back to the old version that works
Fantastic! Love the app on my M9 Great maps. I've used TomTom, Sygic and Navigon didn't like any of them. Most of my travels are out of data areas so Google is out of the question. This is the best app by far. I love the drag and drop routing option. I made the mistake of ignoring the traffic alerts. I was stuck on the Florida turnpike for 2.5 hours. Next time ill listen.
Difficult loading maps I loaded the European maps and after some 5 countries the app just stopped to allow more countries. I tried various countries and after 5 percent there is no chance to get the complete download. This happens with different countries. So it's just a 3
Could be better Voice directions should include exit number or street names. Closest point of interest should use driving routes instead of straight line distance.
Unusable routing The routing is very poor. As an example, it routed me across the old Sunrise bridge in Rancho Cordovs, CA. That bridge has been closed to vehicular traffic for around 35 years. It would be nice to have a smartphone gps app, but you're better off just buying a stand alone gps.
Great Gps App Had a Samsung Mega from a previous cell phone carrier and thought I'd see about using it for a GPS. With it's 6.3" screen it really works well. I'm sure glad I tried it out.
Spam for ratings on paid app? You get a 1 star... Previously was 5 star.
45% of the time you arrive at your destination This app is pretty bad, i used it in LA and it kept trying to send me down a one way street the wrong way, then I tried to go to Bryce Canyon from Moab and it arrived me 21 miles away in a town called "Panguitch"... Pretty terrible, It's only got me to my actual destination about 45% of the time!
Took me less than 30 minutes after using the Free version to buy the Premium version! Truly exemplary user interface coupled with an easy address targeting system. Great voices and superb turn-by-turn directions made this an obvious choice for me. Well done, ALK!
Always Works When Needed Works fine offline, unlike some of the other free apps.
User Great gps. Would be 5 stars, but, even though set not to use dirt roads, it still does.
They actually fix and improve things Copilot does everything well that Google maps annoyingly does not. And more besides. They listen to users and fix things, like the infamous SD card issue on Android. And you can drag to edit your route. Imagine that. Well worth the cost. Keep up the good work.
Good But you need to update NY maps big time specially in NY city!!!!!
Currently does not acquire a GPS signal.
Much improved Software has improved over the years....I like that map updates are free
Awsome No need to have a stand alone GPS..... could really use a heads up display feature
Excellent GPS Gets me through unknown territory efficiently every time without having to care if I have a data connection. Great app for next to nothing. Get it.
Looks good, so far. I haven't used CoPilot on a long trip yet - only short local trips. So far I'd say it was worth the price. I do wish the speed display was a bit larger, or at least movable and/or sizeable.
Perfect Ui updates have helped a ton and the features are all great. I'd use this over google maps any day.
Does everything that a more expensive unit does and it is right on the phone
Good job Great job making it usable for the rooted, Rom-changing community! I am a developer, and it is nice to know I can finally use the program I paid for!
Excellent product, would recommend to anyone
Bad product I payed for the active traffic feature for one year, two months later I had to replace my phone and I never could reactivate this option, they need to fix that problem
Great GPS Have used for years across multiple platforms and usually works perfectly. Maps could be updated quicker.
Great app I am very impressed with this app
I had previously given this app 4 stars. It is very comprehensive though not as intuitive as my Garmin dedicated gps. You definately want to pull over and give your full attention to setting anything in this. (you should pull over anyway, right?) The reason for my low score is support. I purchased two licenses, one for my phone and the other for my tablet. When I upgraded both I tried to reinstall and couldn't. I received the necessary info to reinstall on my phone but have never been able to reinstall on the tablet. I have had no further response from the company and it has been nearly a year. There are plenty of alternative gps apps. I guess I'll have to go shopping.
Great deal For the price it definitely compares to some of the more expensive navigations like TomTom/ Garmin trust me I've tried them all, works great on my Galaxy Note 5 running 5.1.1
UPDATE: Sept 2015... This app has many attractive features and possibilities. However, anyone considering purchase of this navigation app needs to know about one serious flaw that actually makes this app dangerous to use, particularly if you use it on a motorcycle as I do. If you setup a route using waypoints, and happen to get one of your waypoints slightly off of the road (or simply change your mind and take a different path) CoPilot will then constantly try to reroute you back to that missed waypoint...forever. You lose any upcoming routing until you either turn around and go back to the missed waypoint, or go into the Edit mode of the route and delete the missed waypoint. This forces you to pull over and come to a stop to be safe...or to try to edit while moving, a very very bad idea. This shortcoming has been known by the developer for over 3 years. They promised to fix it for a future release...no one knew that "future release" might be the next century!!!! To be safe, do not use this app even though there are some very good features, and I'd rate 5 stars if they would just fix this issue! EDIT: Doing what ALK suggested has produced no response. Terrible customer service.
Has promise But crashes a little too often. Also doesn't save your way points even when you purchase it. Maps are huge, maybe they need to be compressed. Some ui features are awkward. I would give it 2.5 stars if I could.
Last update problem All my favorites are gone after latest update. Cloud backup would not restore them either on LG tablet. Copied recent and favorites file on external SD to internal SD files folder for com.alk.copilot folder. All back all ok.
Needs simplified UI. To many menus.. You should be able to hide things you don't use.
Excellent App I have used the free version of this app for several years. When the installation on my latest device caused it to crash on opening, I contacted customer support, and they helped me resolve the issue. I then bought the paid version. I love this app.
The best offline GPS maps navigation! When going on trips where cell signal is spotty or not available, having an offline GPS navigation program is essential. This program has saved the day on many trips. I have tried every major offline GPS navigation system for Android, and CoPilot GPS is by far the best. The entire US and Canada maps & POIs is 2.4gb (other countries are an additional reasonable cost), but you can download individual sections of the USA if you prefer. CoPilotGps has many advantages such as a great POI browser, ability to see POIs on the active map as well as along your route (something Google Maps does not have), recent and quick favorites access. Speed limit warnings is very helpful in unfamiliar locations or when not clearly posted. Most POIs even have phone numbers. CoPilot GPS also has a fantastic voice navigation system which is so well done you could navigate easily on its voice prompts alone. An absolutely essential program worth every penny!
Good App & Great Support I originally thought this application was a little lacking, even though I got it on sale. I reached out to the developer to voice my disappointment. I received a very prompt response and with their instructions the app became much more practical and worth buying
BAD THIS SHOULDN'T BE HERE,IN PLAY STORE IF WE ARE GOING TO SIGN INTO A SEPARATE (OFF GOOGLE) ACCOUNT EVERY TIME WE REINSTALL THIS APP. SUPER ANNOYING when I GET TO FORGET MY PASSWORD EVERY TIME!!!!!! LET GOOGLE MANAGE THIS APPLICATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And BAD direction!!
Great first impressions This app has many features that can be configured on first launch it's a very versatile GPS app
Fantastic As good as a GPS unit.
Updated my original review to 4 stars. Had to revisit GPS apps again to switch. I really liked the other app I was using but it is no longer supported in terms of feature upgrades (just maps are updated). I re-installed copilot to find that the maps can now be downloaded to a sd card. Now if the app would recognize abbreviations better. Original Review. Would be 4 stars if Copilot would allow maps to be saved to the external micro sd card (with App remaining on internal memory) . Been accurate so far. Will take a look at the TomTom app in a couple months, due to the absence of saving maps to the external sd card storage. Edit: with the failure to include the ability to install maps on the external SD Card in the May update to Copilot, I have left and installed a newly released competitor who automatically installed the maps on the external sd card slot. More expensive but worth it for this feature in my opinion. It's a shame since I liked the Copilot app but not their resistance to adding this feature, by reading their responses to this question on their website. If this feature is as much importance as it is for me, go elsewhere, and use a competitor's app.
This is a wonderful app. I have bought it twice. I have used it extensively and would like to offer 2 suggestions to make this great app even better. Please consider having the 2D to 3D option on the main screen- switching between the them is very useful and frequently done. It would be safer it it were a 1 tap kind of thing. My 2nd suggestion is a hope- not sure if it's even possible. I use the "restaurants" find button very much on my trips. Too many times the places it suggests are in the opposite direction of my destination. If it knows what direction I'm headed- is there a way to only show restaurants that are in front of me? That would be amazing. Thanks for the great work!
Good navigation app, got the premium version but the lack of any decent management of Favorites (saved destinations) is a continuous source of annoyance. Sure I can rename or delete my saved Favorites, but there is no sorting option (the most recently added ones seem to be displayed at the top, that's it?), no search option (why? I can search POIs but I cannot search within my saved destinations?) and no way to group my saved favorites in folders or categories. I have 30+ saved destinations and every time I need one of them I have to waste my time scrolling through that long list of randomly ordered "Favorites". Even my decades old Garmin GPS device can group favorites into "Categories" and can search for them, but in 2016 this "smart"phone app cannot provide such basic functionality?
Surprised me I have used Alk products before and they always seened to fit my hand awkwardly. This version seems to have finally been designed to be more like one naturally thinks during planning a trip. Nice job guys.
No Canada??? Although the app promises Canada with north America, there are no roads in the city of Kelowna? Really. Unlike the app store info, Canada cannot be downloaded separately! Emailing customer support didn't elicit a response either. How do I get a refund?
turn by turn description off somewhat, says take ramp left or right when there's no ramp around, only left or right turn.lane guidance doesn't seem to work.lately has been trying to route me back the same way it sent me from, please fix this.
Great feature set, nice UI, maps are horrible This app has the potential to be great. It's best in class for features. I like the UI. Unfortunately the maps are just bad. Just returned from a 1800 mile trip. I found the maps to be missing major freeway or state highway changes in major cities from 2014 just in 4 states. This app with OpenStreetMaps would be great. Unfortunately it's not.
Underrated. This is my goto GPS app. Maps are stored offline so they might be a few months old. Announces street names. As with any GPS app, don't turn off your brain when using CoPilot. Offline address and POI search is excellent, especially when compared to other offline apps. Well worth the money.
No cellular? No problem! Just what I need for navigating when there is no cell coverage.
Best navigator I ever had in 15 years, please consider adding trip logs
I have downloaded for speed limit feature, but it is not working as expected. I think speed limit is available for only major highways. Inner roads are not covered in there database, so disappointed on that otherwise it is a good app so given 3 star...
Latest Update Ruins Good App Nexus 7. Works okay, though sometimes it directs me to wrong turns. But right 99% of the time.
Desert use We often travel off road to desert locations using GPS and so far, Copilot has been right on the money
Street name accuracy may have changed. Some street names are now misidentified in the same way as some others navigator programs.
Accurate Always accurate even when you're in areas like the north Georgia mountains where you don't get a strong signal,it always gets me where i need to go
So far Good will comment in another week
Good but could use some improvements Would like it to announce what direction the exit is on (left or right). Would like custom voices. Would like to see my current speed with speed limit.
It's not as advertised I bought paid version over Google map because of showing speed limit on map while I am driving. but most of the time no speed limit at all and also the POI'S on map very small and only way to find out what they are is to click on them, I wish there was Garmin for android not Navigon
love app but it wont install. want to use it on old samsung tab. 12gigs internal storage remaining. 50 gigs internal storage. still being told insufficient space. rooted device is able to write to either drive. no issues with running any othrt gps app. I emailed dev asking for fix for this issue. ill change rating to 5 when I get a solution.
Good GPS for motorcycle route making I use this app to make motorcycle routes. Took a while to get the hang of the route making tool but now that I've figured it out it works great and since the maps are downloadable I can ride where I have no service and not have to worry. Also with airplane mode on it lasts a long time while navigating though I still need to charge as I go. Also has lots of old roads and unmaintained roads as well as hiking trails and currently used and abandoned railroad tracks. Absolutely awesome for dualsporting.
Promising but falls short of expectations. I purchased the premium version without trying the free version. So far I'm disappointed. The program crashes frequently. After collaborating with the copilot tech support, problem still not solved. Also the maps need to be more accurate. I do like the screen layout and function. The overall quality needs needs some work. The map accuracy is also not that good.
Great offline gps Good offline gps. Would be nice if it could have some features like SYGIC has . Very dependable.
Works only in cities. I bought this when I was traveling through the Seattle area and it worked great. However it wouldn't work in northern Idaho and Montana. And it doesn't work around where I live in North Eastern Washington. If I could figure out how to get my money back I would.
Outdated maps. I submitted a map improvement shortly after I paid for CoPilot in late 2014, and resubmitted the same correction request in early 2016. As of June 1, 2016 this correction still has not been made (In Boulder, CO you can't make a left turn from 15th St to Broadway due to physical median strip installed at least 14 years ago, yet CoPilot still directs you to try to make this turn). This example does not inspire confidence in the overall quality of map data. All other navigation apps I have used correctly include this example turn restriction. HERE maps and Google Maps (both free) offer offline navigation now, so I've uninstalled CoPilot from phone.
Good, but login functions with passwords a pain This is a great application once you get it going, though that process is not smooth. I've had multiple password issues, after reinstalling on a new device. Finicky.
Been using it for years.... This will surprise you with the amount of roads/trails, but other updates (speed limits, etc.) lacking.
Fantastic in the USA Used copilot while in Florida recently. Took me everywhere correctly. Redirected us coming back from Miami due to accident. Brilliant app
Had it for years I really like this app. It's been very helpful when I've been in the middle of nowhere.
Pain for app, but they took away my license Beware, do NOT pay for this app. It was working for a while, but they arbitrarily took away my license and now it doesn't function. It gives an error message saying they can't "verify" my license
Not toooo bad Works well most of the time. Occasionally tries to take me around the block, and then back to my route. One time had issues locking onto satellites. Very comparable to a nicer Garmin GPS, and alot cheaper. Worth the cost :-) Needs more themes!
Bike routes are not reliable...... Both Navigator and Google Maps (free) Apps were correct in recognizing the shortest bike route but (paid) CoPilot didn't know the shortest bike route and sent me many miles out of the way. I would not recommend using CoPilot for navigation by bicycle.
Keeps loosing all my favorites even when backing up Good navigation tool bit when making cloud backups it never actually keeps any favorites or my setting. I'm tired of constantly re-entering my data and customer service just tells me it's my fault. I check the cloud backup button but yet nothing. How's that my fault.
It's kinda useable Runs super slow on any device, Nexus 6P, Note 5, etc. UI is very cluttered and hard to navigate. Took me 15 minutes to figure out how to pick a destination that isn't an address. Map movement is very choppy. Eats battery unlike any other app. It drained my battery even when my phone was plugged in.
Good but stagnant Offline maps are good, but data keeps getting cheaper, reducing the offline value. Overall this app is losing ground to Google Navigation as Google's voice command keeps improving and is so handy. Now I have Android Auto, so that seals the deal for most situations. I keep this around as sometimes data is completely unavailable.
Going Downhill This app used to be updated every quarter. The latest version of the maps right now is from back in December of 2015. They also used to issue minor updates, mainly dealing with detours and road closures, about once a month. They stopped doing that a long time ago. This app used to be the best value for the money but that's no longer the case. If having up to date maps is important to you then I would recommend that you look elsewhere.
Excellent As a yearly visitor to the USA I have found it very helpful when looking for first nights accommodation and in particular when I have no other way of determining my route. I would recommend it to all UK visitors to optain before leaving home. You will quickly get used to setting destinations and this can be done from the UK.
Forget Canada coverage Downloaded this on purpose for a usa and canada holiday. Arrived Montreal in the evening to find it seemed to try and give directions sporadically between crashing but couldn't draw a map. After 90 mins of messing around had to switch data on and use Google maps and run up a data bill. Considering how well this works in UK and Europe this is a major disappointment. Suspect usa will work ok - will find out next week.
Version 8 was better Info bar will no longer display unless you have a destination, and info text is blue-try reading that with your sunglasses on. I sometimes just like to have GPS on to see cross streets, but now can't view such info as elevation or speed. Crashed are more frequent, too.
Not even worth one star I'm sorry to say but this app is not worth the money. One time it had me turning on a one way street. Another time with the highway sign the name in the app wasn't the name on the exit sign. Not only that it gives you a long route. I know this because one direction it give me was the longest way. because I was familiar with the area. I knew it did. No matter how you change it to shortest or fastest it's the same horrible. I don't even use the app anymore.
Good idea Performs poorly, partly because of a nonstandard UI framework. Needs an update to material design. Maps drag very jerkily and zoom slowly. Text boxes paste data one character at a time, as if I was typing it, and refuse to show position handles to reposition the cursor. If the text overflows the textbox, I can't scroll as a normal Android app can. Instead, it selects text. PEOPLE, Android supplies proper UI elements. Please stop reinventing the wheel!
Reliable but slow I really want to use Sygic instead, the maps seem better, 3d buildings, and the UI is so much smoother. But when it comes down to it Copilot is stable, directions are clear and it's a lot easier to search POI's by name than Sygic, and that's what really counts. I would be great id it could import starred items from Google Maps, or it had a share receiver to accept data from other apps.
Zoom issue Map works, but I cannot use both my fingers to zoom in and out. Also a button that transitions the map to where you are would be great (without zooming in first)
Best GPS for the money This is a must have for when you are unable to use the Cell network as maps are stored locally. Works on deactivated devices too.
Good app, nice interface. I wish the interface was more customizable. I also wish there was a more direct way to report missing roads. There are many map updates that need to be made, but which don't show up even when they have been reported and there is a new update.
Best nav app I just updated the NC map. Rolesville still doesn't show the bypass that has been there for years. Disappointed.
