Great app, how about map updates? The canada map has lots of errors and is outdated 3 years in places. I submitted improvements, still nothing. Otherwise 5 stars. The only app I can plug in 30 waypoints.
The One I have had Copilot on all my phones and tablets ,be they in Android or Windows mode and I am extremely satisfied with it.One thing though if you try to push Copilot forcibly onto the SD card in Android 4.4 you run the risk of having serious malfunctions
Great App I use it on my Medion phone without any problem......wouldn't be without it.
Great app Wouldn't travel without it
Use it all the time. Pretty amazing
Bala Awesome updates
Free version is the worse app I.ve met. You must to drag map if you want to see your position.....during navigation!!
Waste of money, needs internet This app is rubbish, it needs internet to get a fix in your own country and also when traveling abroad !!! The customer service is not better, sent three emails, asked for refund.... After 6months still haven't heard from them. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ! Go for famous brands like TomTom...
Tom Hogan I created a route on Copilot last night and saved it. This morning, I opened two other android gps navigation apps and, to my surprise, both apps had the route displayed! Is this a "hidden" feature, or an anomaly with my devices? Either way, it's GREAT.
Too many errors and omissions . About 40% of freeway exits have wrong names. I sent them a correction about a year ago and they did not care about. I sent them about a month ago another correction with the same result. If you need a good gps software don't buy this. I tried to submit another correction but now the program is not working at all. I have a Note 4. Also Alk please don't tell me to post on your site. You have my name so you can send me an email.
Keeps losing destinations! When I have more than one destination, the first one or two are frequently forgotten without being visited and you just get routed on to the next one. Also the route calculator can be a bit hit or miss and will sometimes go out of its way to take you back to a point that was on your route before you changed directions. Otherwise I love this app and it's straightforward to add stops and reorder them.
Mr It seems not to find GPS allot and keep freezing on me after paying £19 for i am not happy!
not map showing download map. try to browse map get blank screen. restart app tells me I need to start downloading my first map yet it shows I already downloaded a map
Good and bad Good to have, and bad to be used, not supported to export your personal favourite to be save in your PC as kml / gpx / csv format and manage it in the way you like, not frindly, and missing Maps for some country the place where I always I travels the below is after ALK replay, Thanks for replay, but i have open support ticket, but with no luck with my case, although i have qty 2 file of my personal favourite,( 1 file stored in SD card , the other one is stored in Phone memory after reset my phone to factory setting) and in my case i was looking to migrate 2 files into one, and unfortunately export function is not exist as feature, as will import in available as option in the menu, as will your cloud backup is only for setting without backup my LST file extintion. please look at your support system and you can find Qty 3 support ticket open Please Note: I have purchase the navigation license.
Is it a Truck GPS? I downloaded and installed but don't have option to set up routes for semi truck or HM loads. Is it truck routing app or I am wrong? BTW it says "join over 14 million drivers"... but thre are just 1 milion downloads hehe...isn't funny :-) Google map do same or better ..its just losing money.
It's stopped working since down load I have just paid again for traffic then down load new UK maps no says no data for maps won't load
Was perfect but it's now crap Had my map working fine, purchased version. Copilot premium UK and Ireland, Then one day it just stopped working and won't load, tried contacting customer services but they weren't helpful, they directed me to a forum, no matter how many times I installed and uninstalled it, it wouldn't work, I tried this free version and logged in with my credentials and it worked perfectly for a while and the same issues started. I paid for this app and depend on it but it's disappointing and crap now
It's used to be good.. but times have moved on ! Been trying to re-activate since changing my phone. But it seems changing your email address and phone breaks things and makes the software unusable without guided navigation. Tried twice to fix with support but yet just try reactivating an account that no longer exists and of course it doesn't work !. So sadly it's goodbye Co Pilot, things have moved on and so have I, I am now a WAZE user which is brilliant, free, fun and superior navigation software to everything else out there.
Possibly the best Android Satnav I've used this app on several HTC phones, it seems to get better with each version. Always been stable, although I've had several issues with license issues after reinstalling. Stars deducted after trying to purchase the Active Traffic subscription. Successfully took my money immediately failed to install. Three weeks on its still failing to download it. Tech support are now dragging their heels over a refund, and yet the app seems to STILL be trying (and failing) to install the subscription. All in all rather disappointing
Good all round navigation service What can I say it has worked on many Android smartphones that I have owned and worked when I used my old iPhone the mapping data is solid across the UK and France. Had a few app crashes here and there but always quick to get back up and running and navigating you!
App Corrupted I am using Samsung note 2 & I have purchased Copilot Permium for Middle East & when I tried to update the app it get corrupted and now I'm not able to download the app again for free. Please solve this issue. My issue is resolved. Thank you & now I'll give 5 star
Co pilot I got this cause I was told by a DOT officer there was a truckers version for $150.00 available but I couldn't find if in the app store. He recommended it highly. I'm very much interested in getting it. Where can I find it? (Edited 4/4/15.) I just tried this for the 1st time. It disregarded the address I put in and tried to send me somewhere completely different. I am never using this again and will not be spending $150.00 for the truck version.
Save Your Money Or At Least Think Twice Before Installing True this app is feature rich and is good enough to replace a dedicated satnav system for the car. It gets regular map updates (about 2-3 times a year) and more frequent safety camera database updates. However there are some big downsides. First, every time you get a map update you have to reset the app data and cache and start afresh. I use it on three devices running different versions of Android, all three suffer from this problem. Never update a map unless you have reliable and fast wifi/mobile data as you will probably have to download the maps more than once. Usually map updates are something to look forward to, but not in this case. Secondly, depending upon the device, it can crash frequently (on my Ace 2 I can't even complete the initial setup without a number of app crashes). This seems to only happen when in the settings screens. I have never had it crash whilst actually navigating, where it works very well. You can back up settings and favourites to their cloud and restore them later when you have to reset it, so sync settings regularly. Their support is useless, their work around to the above is to completely reinstall! This is not acceptable in such an expensive app.
Free upgrade to GPS Copilot Installed GPS Copilot on Nexus 6 using my old copilot licence. There is a transfer device option on the alk website. GPS issue issue on Nexus 6 now sorted. I am starting to really like this app again after a rollercoaster ride of opinion as different versions have been released. Has bailed me out on a couple of occasions when Google Maps required a phone signal and no signal was available. Now starting to use as my default sat nav anyway.
Great product I use old smart phones as mini tablets with no data plan. Thus, this allows me to navigate via gps. I'm very impressed. Great navigation, tunnel mode, many points of interest, etc. You can get 3 alternative routes, and I wish it were slightly easier to get more or to customize a route, but small complaint. A great way to untether from data plan, as gps and camera are main things I want from smart phone.
Improve!!!! Why dont you improve the map view. Instead of a moving red dot why not have a car?????? Or if walking mode why not a person.. Simple graphics will improve the experience and make more user friendly i would rather look at a car moving up my screen then a red circle
Poor communication. I made a payment a couple months ago for a full lifetime license, but still haven't got one. Sent an email to a customer service a few days ago and haven't got any replies yet.
Riddled with defects So who tested this app on Android? Nobody, I suspect. Has a habit of dropping navigation part way into a trip. The turn indicators do not update neither does the current road name. Routing is flakey and I do not trust this app one bit. In all, complete rubbish . Don't waste your time.
Always Great for Traveling I have used it extensively in Europe. It has been invaluable whether driving or walking. It's even better than BMW's built-in navigation system. CoPilot even gave me great walking directions through the Großer Tiergarten in Berlin. I purchased the premium version for the 3D maps and spoken driving directions, which was has proven to be a great investment.
Very dissapointing I have tried it several times but find it very clunky to use. I'm now on version 9 which seems better. POIs are still not handled very well. Why not just be able drag them into the save folder and let the app do the rest, they come across with their own bmp file but I still have to choose it, why?
No voice navigation No turn-by-turn voice navigation. Also, the app does not auto advance thru the turns, I had to manually step thru each turn. Fix the adancement thru the turns and I'd give it a 3-star rating. Add voice navigation in the free version, I'd give it a 4-star rating. As is, just two stars.
Great Stand-Alone App Allows one to navigate without needing a data connection. Saves data charges and works when data service is not available. Upgrade available (paid) allowing for voice prompts for turns.
Use it all the time I use Co-pilot through the UK and Europe, so far in over 4 years it has not let me down .
Active Traffic Bar not Displaying any more. Its just stopped displaying the traffic bar!
Great for Offline Use it exclusively on my motorcycle for riding in areas without cell coverage. Run it on an old nexus 7. Also accepts map routes from 3rd party routing packages
The Best !!!! This in my opinion stands head and shoulders above the rest. It's only let me down afew times, and considering I've had this app about 2 years thats pretty bloody good.
What was useful is now useless Either it freezes on the routing screen, or it constantly loses position & destination. This has started happening since the latest KitKat Android update. Was useful riding a motorcycle because of the draggable offline routing, but now its just another uninstalled has been.
Meh. Was awesome in free version. Spot on voice guide. When it expired I gladly bought full version. Now? Voice guide has no idea where she is going. Pretty disappointed
I used the previous version of this app a few years ago to drive through Italy (without using mobile data) It was excellent. Looking forward to trying the new version out on my upcoming trip.
Solved: Purchased Licence not valid Rating changed back to 4 stars after that the issue has been solved.
It's fine Worked great when using free trial then when I updated to paid version keeps crashing and doesn't connect to Facebook and when it does...it crashes....needs updating sort this out or give me my money back
App won't start App won't start after install. Attempt to create an account on the app community does not work. Can't seem to get help so I don't have any more time for this... good luck, my money is going to find another solution for my offline maps needs.
It was a great app until the last update. Now it won't let me enter a town or city - simply presents a blank screen with the title ' multiple cities found'. Only way to enter a destination is to use the postcode. Don't always have the postcode though as I live in a rural area and there is often no signal. Very frustrating. Having to use Google!
I Don't Trust It Completely The directions are not always reliable. While traveling on OH 4, for example, why would it tell me to take the on and off ramps of the same exit in order to continue on my way? I didn't need that exit at all. Strange.
well don't listen to negative comments! I have been using this Sat Nav for 4years is the best I have ever used . it even beat Tom Tom by far. since I found this Sat Nav have a peace of mind. the best Tom Tom doesn't come close. and money well worth it. I have use it on HTC HD, HTC Sensation, Samsung Galaxy S4,now Samsung Galaxy Note 4. never had issues best ever.
It's gr8 drivers who use trucks under 13' I drive box trucks under 13' with stops that always change this helps with height and locations
Copilot I would give copilot 5 stars but recently I went to the south of France so I brought the maps etc cost a lot but copilot has really good reviews and works really well, until I went to Monaco and on my way back to where I was staying is stalled and then I restarted the phone and now it doesn't open at all, seriously annoying because I was relying on it so much to return me back to where I was staying. I want a refund if it cannot be sorted, if it was operating correctly it's worth the money, please help
Every time you drag a route the map is zoomed out. Then you have to zoom back in again and find where you left off. So if you want to plan a detailed route (for motorcycle trip) it takes a LONG time.
Unusable I've been using copilot for years. Initially on my iPhone and then android. Earlier versions worked flawlessly but ever since updating Android OS this app hasn't managed a single journey. I was especially let down when in Italy a few days ago. I don't know the roads and it crashed when searching for PIOs in an areas of zero service. I have sent a number of crash reports more recently and hope the information contained will allow for a resolution but until this time the app is unusable and I've unistalled it
Update broke app Very good sat nav app when works but current issues of latest update are when go to type in information it will crash the first few times when keyboard goes to load up. Also seems to be using more battery than the phone can charge it up in car. Hopefully these can be fixed to make it it's usual great self
Great app Love that u can enter multiple stops and get the best route possible from first to last and.all points in between. Have entered as many as 25 stops and got the best routing and times between stops. Really saved me a lot.of time. finally able to load all maps to my SD on new Samsung note 4. Great app
Finally found a GPS app to replace Google Maps. Only drawbacks I've found are sometimes destination addresses are changed to "nearest" address which results in inaccurate directions (sometimes changed to towns 8 hours away!) Seems heavy on battery usage. Would like voice commands for entering addresses. Would like to be able to use TTS for voice nav, but the built in voice is not too bad. Otherwise has some nice unique features. Waypoint planning is very good. UI is overall pretty good. Excellent overall.
WTF!! Thanks ALK, CONGRATULATIONS!! JUST LEAVE IT SIMPLE!! Today I was around with my motorcycle, wanted to open the app, NOTHING! Not starting, you made e new icon It started once and now that you need it it doesn't work!! I made more than 100km of wrong roads because of you guys, it's from years that eas always the same and always worked now, NEW INTERFACE(or what ever) and app stuck! FIX FIX FIX!! Now seems to work after deleting everything and downloading everything again. But for now my prev. Comment remain!
Pretty poor Route planning: Impossible to get it to find Hotel at destination - postcode is well out of location. Can't edit some items as keyboard vanishes. Had expected much higher performance from a mature product.
Crash issues! After app updated. Now I'll launch the app. Go to enter direction press box and phone freezes. App crashes 3 out of 4 times. Sprint note 3 on oc5 lollipop 5.0. Eve did a full factory reset. Full reinstall same issues. Never did before update. please fix I use app daily.edit/// you already replied to my email issue turned over to support. Still not fixed or updated. That's where we left it. 1 star remains till fixed. Still won't be 5 cause we can't deactivate our licenses before moving to another device
Great but navigation but needs a little improvement. I felt a bit mislead when I furst bought this but have since got used to it and now use it all the time. There are some issues with the maps I.e telling you to get of and then straight back on a motorway (M40J2) & depending what else your phone is doing can slow right down at complicated junctions. Traffic is extra but worth it (watch the price tho). It also works in London where even my TomTom struggles. Its a shame it can't only display when approaching a junction which would save battery. Voice control is limited I.e. I only want safety camera warning. It is great that it needs no data to use.The biggest problem is £35! Also Cyprus map will cost extra as its not in Europe.
It works The basic function of the app does work. As per other reviews, it has a lot of great features. My problem is that it's not accurate to my location. I can be in my house and the map says I'm down the street quite a ways. I can't trust that. Also, I bought the themes add on and it won't let me add any other theme except the breast cancer one. It won't download or switch to anything but the default theme and the breast cancer theme. Not cool. Might just be my device, but this was a waste of money for me.
A couple minor issues, but this app has always got me to where I need to go. Love the route planning with drag and drop route changing. Have even submitted one or two map corrections that have been made.
Fantastic!! I bought this app to replace my car sat nav and it if just fantastic. Much better than paying out for a separate unit plus it is easier to update.
No Canadian streets! Even after downloading the full North America map package, this app does not display any streets beyond major highways in Canada. This is a major problem for me, since mapping in low-coverage areas was the only reason for me to purchase this app. Bad news bears!
Volume issue, fav folders missing Independent volume control is really important please put it back in :)
Fantastic! Does everything I need it to do and totally worth the price of the extra features. Way more features than Google offers currently. As a professional driver, using the waypoints has sped up the efficiency of my deliveries. My only suggestion would be to add more options for more frequent traffic updates (more than once every 5 minutes). A lot can happen on the highway in 5 minutes. I would like to see 1 minute added or even 30 seconds.
Lags in places Hi. I really like this app and it helps me so much but problem is when am dragging the map to check for poi's it really lags over big cities. Plz try to fix rendering engine or whatsoever so that the map gets smoother when dragging. Thx
Mike I have tried several off-line GPS programmes and this is the best. The new map for South Africa is an improvement and now avoids non-existent connections.
Loses destinations and frequently crashes. Randomly decides you've visited destinations when you've gone nowhere near them and crashes any time I try to look up an address so I have to look things up on Google maps and then find the corresponding place on the map in CoPilot. Help service and support are pretty poor. I want my money back!
Error - 711 What is it with your app?! Every time you update you wipe the maps and now you've given us error 711 saying we need to update map data but when we click ok the app shuts. What is going on?????? I enjoyed using the app until your recent update. Please help a frustrated customer!
Amazing It has everything those 10 mil. User apps don't even thought about, 2.2 GB map for north America, there is nothing you will ever need data for!
Customer Service Difficult Had to purchase another copilot after not being able to locate my original purchase email. ALK couldnt help after my phone bricked and copilot was stuck to my email. Had to get new email too. App is perfect. Customer Services... that needs a little help.
The new app is nice, clean and engaging. But can you please add back the volume option. Scenario: While I am using Co-Pilot in my car, I also listen the music through my phone, phone's audio is connected to the car's audio via Bluetooth. Co-Pilot use to have it's own volume control but in the recent update it controls by the Android's media volume, which also effects my music playing. If I am keeping the volume to a normal level to hear the direction commands then I can not hear the music, and if I am listening the music on a normal listening level then the Co-pilot's command are way too loud. PLEASE add back Co-Pilot's own volume control.
Good Can be better, but slow in locking on sattelites and even faster loosing them
OK The "current location" option when planning trips is rarely highlighted. My GPS is working fine as well. This is frustrating if you are starting a journey in an unknown location - hard to plan if there is no start point.
This is well working app This is only GPS app that works shows point where I'm and have possibility of downloading maps, but there is 1 no, that take a large amount of gigs to be completely satisfied . Thanks Ram and space reused by this device while during surgery of downloading this app and make it work, and downloading the Gps Maps. Krystian
Good but crashes with SwiftKey Great navigation app... However if you want to enter a destination either don't use SwiftKey keyboard.. Or add the location as a favourite (works with SwiftKey)
Everything worked fine, before latest update. I was even thinking of buying Europe Premium version. The navigation is messed up. I was going back on Friday home and half way app tried to convince me that I reached the destination. I was still 30 miles away. Surprisingly only Voice part was wrong, the map was showing ok. Also I stopped getting speed camera warnings. I really liked this app, but now I will probably postpone my purchase, until this app will be fixed update 04/06/2015 I already submitted support ticket with this problem
Great! User friendly and very convenient as you can scroll the map and zoom in w/o an internet connection.
Great app Been using this app for a couple of years, and I love it. The routes calculated with ActiveRoutes have impressed me a few times. I just wish the display had a few more options for my not so big screen (Xperia Z3 compact). True full screen mode would be a great start!
Awesome application Everything work as expected using LG ms395 and car stereo with Android kitkat 4.4.4 no complaints so far so good .... I would like to see a full screen button.
First off, you need to pick a REGION (continent), after which you will be able to download the map of one single country for free. All additional maps will cost you - dearly. Unfortunately, once you select the region, you won't be able to change it, even though you haven't downloaded any map! That for me is a deal breaker.
Total rubbish I have long been a fan of Copilot having used Live 8 version for years on a Gingerbread phone. Sadly that will not install to an HTC on ICS so I tried this version. It simply will not communicate with the GPS and the tech support is as crap as this app - thank god I did not purchase extra maps before I did a test drive!
Good offline GPS app for the whole North America It's my default app when I'm driving outside of my home town. No data roaming charge is just great and, less of a hassle than other app like Google Map. However, map update is infrequent and many times lead me astray.
Very useful, however Has a tendency to lose GPS at the most inopportune moments, such as vital exits on the M25 ?, on the whole I am generally happy with it, although last night I had to switch to Waze as GPS just didn't come back and there was no where for me to pull over and reset the app.
Love it I got used to the fact it takes a few mins to find a satellite and determine position. But since it is an offline app I understand. I reported a route change once in SW Miami and it was done. I've tried the app and it works. I have it on all my phones. Lol, yes all my phones because where I live there are no GPS navigation and I make sure the one I only use to travel has it. No internet and cellular carrier is needed. Works perfectly. I've used it in Florida and N.Y. I Love it and recommended it to friends.
Worked fine on my windows phone but cannot get it to work on my Samsung it just won't navigate me atall and I really need for work. When it was on my windows phone I loved it hopefully I will be loving it again very soon.
Be careful 3D software update does not work. Was charge 16€ twice and ALK Copilot will never refund you.
TRAFFIC (£7.99) is slow to catch Jams, slower than free products.(google fastest). MAPS Out of date, m1/m6 the two most major motorways not up to date at the new junction. Other than that, it could be good but Im sick of paying to get stuck in traffic (the whole point of traffic updates is to get it immediately so you can re-route).May spend more $$ with TOMTOM next year as they seem to be more accurate,
Shame. Looked nice but screens wouldn't change without recalculating manually. Glad I didn't buy it. Difficult to determine as trial version but found an icon which allowed screen to scroll. Why would anyone want that? Also map appears locked to North so you appear to be driving sideways or even backwards at times again who cares where North is when following guidance? You want upcoming junctions etc ie: left or right it's like holding a map book upside down. Just Google these issues and it seems that they are trial restrictions. Not a great idea if you're Tring before buying . it almost put me off.
European maps Paid for European maps but can't load them. Also lost my voices that I had paid for. Emailed copilot who were very helpful and fixed the problem. My copilot ID had a extra letter mysteriously added so didn't update my licences. Thanks again
Marshmallow Was an excellent app when I first installed it and took advantage of the discounted voice guidance on offer, however since my marshmallow update it is unable to find navigation purchase and only allows me the basic features. It will not restore my purchase.
Inaccurate I did a test from where I work to where I live and it's a 45 min drive it said it would take an hour and a half. What info do you use. Plus my house # wasn't available. Update your maps would help.
Was once good but not any more I have used Copilot for a few years, preferring it to Google's own version. Was always good but recently on two occasions has led me along awful routes resulting in massively delayed journeys when unnecessary. As far as free GPS apps go, I'm heading back to Google.
Good app Good overall app but the only problem is that the GPS Signal keeps dropping out if the issue is fixed it would be a 5 star
Awesomeness on the road 5 years copilot now for about a year on my iPad and several different phones it was my first experience with a smart phone and I really messed up a bunch of them but anyway copilot has been a great navigator will love it works way better than anything else I've tried and I would use it permanently long as I can keep it working on my phone only problem I have is some of the stuff that should go on the CD on the SD card doesn't always get there so we end up with more memory tied up then I want
Best so far I use my 8" tablet as satnav in car and have 4 different satnav apps on it. I always find myself going back to co pilot every time I have a problem with any of the other apps.I especialy like the alternative routes.
Disappointing. Laggy and impossible to read. Laggy and impossible for me to read due to tiny writing. This on a decent phone (LG G3) so back to Navmii for me.
A must have If u do any traveling or do multiple stops. U must have this app. I used to work for a garbage company and have put up to 60 stops in at 1 time and it routed them out perfectly even tho I'm in the mountains and half the roads are dirt. The only thing I wish it could do is alow me to edit the map when I find a road not there or named wrong. If u could do that I would pay a lot more. Thanks for a great app
After using the app for a while now I find I prefer other free apps, it's not that CoPilot isn't a good guide, it's because of the way it handles POIs, I wanted to go from Yorkshire to a group POI in Scotland, but I could only see POIs in a very small radius, maybe 30 miles, WHY not make them all visible, but be able to turn off ones I don't need like the default ones, speaking of default ones WHY can't I CHOOSE which I need and delete others, and WHY is there a limit to how many POI categories I can have. Alk seems to think they know how we want to use the app, they really DO NOT, there is only one app which seems to almost do all I need, easy to use, easy to import POIs, I can see all my POIs or none at a stroke, it's still in it's early stages, but will be a world beater very soon, it begins with M, and ends in .me and it's free, I have no connection with them or any other app writers.
Great but seriously out of date in dijon - France Works great on the my Sony Xperia z 3 but I've since moved to Dijon where they have had trams for over 2 years which means the road layout has changed with it but the maps are out of date and don't take this into consideration.
Awesome I had an issue sent message for help actually got a reply right away and he fixed my issue. all done in under an hour .thank you :)
Glyn Dexter I used this all the time on my Sony Z1 and loved it but the license has not transferred to my new Sony Z5 and I am expected to pay for it again not happy about this.
Still does what it says in the tin. 2nd review. Still think its great. Just works. Has never let me down in about 3 years of use in the US, EU and UK
My places don't sync most dumb maps I have ever come across Lost all imp spot due to this glich
The application itself set up one spot as a starting point, and this place is not even the favorites. When you restart the application again the same problem.
Has really improved My first review was damming as this app really was awful, but the recent updates have improved it beyond recognition. It would be 5 stars but I haven't figured out how to tell it to ignore motorways which you have to pay to use in Catalunya.
Outdated maps So much for "latest, accurate maps". The area near my home (which is obviously where I would use it most) is AT LEAST 3 years out of date. Oh well, tried it out of curiosity, quickly uninstalled.
Very slow and laggy I can't believe that such simple looking app could be so slow, jerky and laggy. Unbelievable!
fantastic update! excellent offline navigation and now the menus are really, really fast/smooth. Fuel cost calculator is an awesome feature!
Copilot Fab piece of kit on my std phone. Would like to see warning when you reach the speed limit not 5mph after. Tks
Functional and accurate Would like to have a similar search box where we can add free text like Google search
All works great, apart from an update I just paid £8 for & it won't download.
Great app I'm a driver for UPS and this app is a life saver the only problem I have is it says I have reached my destination when I am 10 houses away from the stop apart from that Amazing app and worth buying the full version if your a delivery driver
Absolute load of crap, i have a htc one m7, cannot get into the programme, it kicks me out before it even starts up, i run a flooring services business and rely on it to get me to customers houses that i have never been to, now i can't even find places and it costing me customers, money and might lose my business sooner than later, wtf?, wish i never spent 19.99 on this sh*t
Lovely app I am giving 5 stars to this copilot car and truck app, I have been using the same app on my iphone which he has saved me from delays and stressful day as a trailer driver.
Very good offline navigation A little weak once you get off the pavement. EDIT: updates have improved rural navigation, but it's still not fantastic for getting into a lot of campgrounds.
Must have Sat Nav The best Sat Nav software I have used. Can literally be a life saver.
Copilot I've never had any problems with Copilot. Works OK on my Galaxy Note 3 and Tab S2 8. 0
Inaccurate points of interest The accuracy of locations of stores, bars and restaurants is in general very poor. Some are accurate but some are totally wrong, off location by as much as a quarter mile.
Awesome one of the best I'm using Co pilot from a long time now, one of the best paid offline GPS works well with low battery and ram usage. But sometimes it gives me long route while navigate.
Sluggish and inconvinient I have the paid version. The 3D view renders the map sluggishly on Nexus 6P. The search function is not like most modern maps, so one needs to enter the address backward and step by step, which makes searching awkward. The voice navigation leaves a lot to be desired. Many huge POIs, like shopping malls, are missing. The GUI is the least convenient most troubling of the many similar apps I've tested.
Copliot needs to be a little more smoother when moving the map on screen. In my opinion, this is a great app. I really like the features versus using Google maps. I customized this app to my needs with the black/night theme and I put a restriction on highways that go above 55 mph. The only problem copliot has is the fact that it is NOT SMOOTH when moving the map screen around with your fingers. If it was quicker to move the screen with your fingers, this app would definitely be worth the money for the 3D feature. Do I regret purchasing? No. Do I wish it was faster? Yes. 3 Stars.
Why not the shortest route! TEST, drive past your destinatioin. CoPILOT: continue to the end of the road, Go Left X3 TOMTOM: make a U-Turn where possible. Take your pick of the better answer. Another test. I want to go from Pickering to Filey. CoPILOT: Sent me through Scarborough town centre to put me onto the Filey road at Scarborough. A huge detour through heavy traffic/traffic control. TOMTOM: Best route and no traffic, straight line route through Cayton to pop out on the Filey road at Lebberstone. That said, I did purchase the app in hope that a solution is out there? It works well in the DVR, with a nice interface. I also liked the choice of voices. A larger info display "ETA", "Zone Speed" etc. A bit too small to read on a small screen when driving. Enlarging the on screen info would minimise screen time whist driving.
Good Journey Planner I use this app for my journeys where the 3g signal is weak and daily commute because it is very reliable, and gives me accurate eta for my 1hr drive to work. On longer journeys, though, I find that the routes are a litte "all over the place". Eg, it will take me through a village instead of the bypass because it sees that route ad being too long. I find that I have to create waypoints/manually avoid roads in the route plan just so I can stay on a known better road. I use google maps for long journeys.
Latest update is full of bugs It get locked onto one set of maps and cannot change. Backup and restore does not work and I can never pick a point on a map because I cannot see the map
My fave GPS app. This service is easy to use and accurate. I love the routing feature for multiple addresses. Honestly the only thing that would make this better for me would be an option to optimize all the stops to be on the right hand side of the road. I drive a lawn spray truck and my hose reels are on the right so I often have to drive past my stop and turn around to pull up in front of the house on the right. Otherwise it's a great app. Keep up the good work! :)
Charged for something free, wrong speed limits, incorrect arrival time After purchasing the premium navigation package within the app i was later informed by customer service if i wanted traffic services i needed to purchase it. So after purchasing traffic services within the app i then find it it's free if you purchase the premium navigation through Google. Customer service goes unanswered when i ask them for a refund. It gets better. The estimated arrival time is 30mins off what it should be. Speed limits are wrong in several areas. Shocking customer service. TomTom or Sygic
Copilot Excelent but the only issue is. You have to upgrade New York City Map there's a lot of no left turn and no right turn and still making a lot of mistakes and it's a waste of time and time is money...
What a deal Great offline map. . Saved me from having to pay for a navigation system in my rental car.
Bought voice pack can't even use it You charged me for the voice pack and it says I didn't even buy it. I have the att text proving I did! Help!
How do you expect someone one to have a good test at it with only a few days trial Only managed to actually test it with the sound and it's to distracting trying to watch the screen i find but when I did try it i found that it was taking the long way round passing the same points multiple times and passing points that where on my list of stops then having to go back to stop at them later not good in a are your unfamiliar with need more time to really see if it's worth actually having let alone paying for it in the first place in my opinion
Excellent with multi stops This is the only map app for Android that I've seen you can put in a hundred waypoint's and then tell it to automatically choose the best route a lifesaver for a delivery driver. And all of the maps are offline no data connection needed currently runs on my Asus Memo exceptionally well worth every penny. another thing is that when you upgrade your technology you can take the app to the next device. Be sure to have at least 3 gigs left on your microSD card.
Useless customer support I have sent 3 emails and yet to get a reply I have moved my old copilot to a new phone and I have lost 3D mapping as well as all my maps ridiculous do not get this problem with Tom Tom Go
Helpful Overall this is a good app. But one annoying thing it does is it keeps telling you to get off the freeway and then back on. So after you plot your trip you need to study it so you will know when to ignore these false instructions.
Disappointing Didn't start well as it didn't have any Street numbers for my home address. Then on first use the navigation tried to take me off the slip road and back on again whilst travelling along a duel carriageway. I'll go back to Google maps.
Locks up on current location and can't get back to the main menu. AFAIK this is one that will fail you at the worst possible time. EDIT: ALK Support got in touch with me via email after I posted my initial review. Their observation was that, somehow, my installation became corrupt and advised me to re-install it, after making sure I deleted some folders on the phone by connecting it to the PC to access both internal and sdcard storage. It took several tries, but I finally got it to re-install correctly. It then took me several tries for it to recover my account, since I'd forgotten my password (they sent a temporary password after several requests). The entire process, including downloading N.America maps, took a couple hours, but it now appears to be working. Hopefully, it will continue to work. We'll keep our fingers crossed. I commend ALK Support for caring enough about its product and users to connect with me to try and solve the problem.
Poor route checker After inputting the post code it then asks to select the road, how odd every other gps navigator auto selects the road since there is only one. Route takes me towards the congestion charging zone when clearly I'm driving towards the opposite end. Poor suggestions compared to all other navigators.
Copilot live Worked fine until I got new phone? (Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo). Voice navigation has gone & it crashes??? Update; The support at Copilot were excellent in their fast & accurate response. By following their detailed but simple instructions I now have voice guidance back & it's no longer crashing. Very happy cus been using Copilot for years. Thanks again for resolving my issues so quickly
Not very happy latley. Paid for this app. Forgot Password feature in the app has been broken for several months now?!? So you have to go to website to reset password. Have to reload maps every time this app updates and often have licence verification issues. This app is awesome when it works but honestly if I pay for a map program rock solid access to the app is paramount or you end up up a creek without a paddle or in this case a map!! Also you guys need to give free traffic and radar or at least pay once for lifetime acces
Doesn't freaking work exclamation point I am so sick of this f****** program exclamation point everytime I turn around it's lost its link to the maps exclamation point Last trip out we were 500 miles from home headed through Los Angeles when the maps disappeared dumb fricking program I've lost the maps as many as 10 times a day and it appears that it's so late little software link that tells it where to look for the map because it only takes 3 minutes to reload it now it won't even load and we get to try out a new password because it didn't reco
In general it works pretty well, and it's mostly consistent. There a few issues: - it is possible (but not completely straightforward) to import routes planned (say) on google maps or other planning software. When you do import a route the recalculation of the route my cause some problems. Some desktop planning software and corresponding easy way to import routes would be extremely helpful. - my biggest complaint is the handling of missed waypoints. Many times copilot will try to route you back to the missed waypoint instead of recalculating the route and forgetting the missed waypoint (after some distance has passed). This one of the most requested feature at least for motorbike riders. When this happens you basically have to stop, take off your gloves, remove the missed waypoint, and then continue. Not so practical. - The interface provides many options and flexibility but is not completely intuitive. - Changing the route on the road (via drag route) is a very nice feature. However you need a large screen for this to work as designed.
I have the full paid version. The navigation works, BUT the app fails on design and interface. Some fails are bad to the point of a joke. I am using LG G4 - 4K. The app locked up with a warning message about a restricted road. The ridiculous part was that it was in a pop-up screen over the whole display AND required me to press "Ok" to clear it... WHILE I was driving! The graphics are small and unclear, take too long to look at diverting attention from the road The lane guidance arrows are too small and spread out across the screen in landscape; keep them together on one side. Too much screen is wasted on borders, fonts are small and low contrast. Blue fonts against darker blue background are hard to see. Hide borders and menus by side swipes, use space for multiple indicators about speed etc. Make speed limit icon LARGER. ClearTurn views were totally wrong. POIs announcements should state what they are and how far! Icons and road names should grow larger on approach, change color/contrast. My Places needs folder structure, full ability to see location and add info. Dashcam function! Sharp bends and dirt road warnings! Missed safety camera warnings (it was turned on).
Driving me nuts not worth buying Dam maps still not updated majar road's ended up driving 16 miles out my way following this map. I even told them months ago but maps still out of date. Will be asking for refund soon as no good to me if the maps are so outdated... as to your reply if you read my rating it says i did contact you about this matter over 5 months ago and the maps has still not been updated
Recalculate Its OK but doesn't recalculate if you change course need to refresh it constantly. ..no good
Not clear The navigation line indicator is simply too large, sometimes covering map details such as the turn you should catch. Please restrict it now!
Two weeks ago I buy the navigation after I finished testing free version. I think that free version using free maps and when I bought full version maps will be professional and accuracy will be much better than in test version. Unfortunately not – accuracy of pay maps are very bad and low especially for middle Europe which I need to using. I’m not able to find house number in lots of cities (doesn’t matter if the cities are small or big). I strongly not recommended to buy the navigation, because maps accuracy is unusable. DO NOT BUY THE NAVIGATION !!!!!! It’s loss of money. I'd like to get your money back if it would be possible.
After using the app for a while now I find I prefer other free apps, it's not that CoPilot isn't a good guide, it's because of the way it handles POIs, I wanted to go from Yorkshire to a group of POIs in Scotland, but I could only see POIs in a very small radius, maybe 30 miles, WHY not make them all visible, but be able to turn off ones I don't need like the default ones, speaking of default ones WHY can't I CHOOSE which I need and delete others, and WHY is there a limit to how many POI categories I can have. Alk seems to think they know how we want to use the app, they really DO NOT. Why keep saying contact support, it's pointless, you do NOT LISTEN fix the POI problem, others can do it why not CoPilot???
Recommended Gave the trial a go first then purchased full version excellent nterface accurate and simple to use
UPDATED: I liked the app and used it a lot before and bought several addons for it. But sometimes the GPS doesn't work - it has so much difficulty finding me, though other apps don't seem to have any issues. I'd say that I couldn't find another app that allows you to use maps offline (very useful for travelling abroad), but I think it needs more work on GPS system. I hope the developers can work it out and make this app better. I'm resubmitting my review as the CoPilot team has replied to my previous one (very negative) and I think it's great - means they care about their customers.
We had issues which were not the fault of ALK at all as it turns out, merely corrupted files somewhere. Their support was top notch and they explained how to solve the problem and CoPilot is back to being the best on the market.
My favourite satnav I've been using copilot for years, I'm a newly retired truck driver, the car version served me well for age's, always up to date with new road's and CAMERA'S, clear instructions (when I listened to her), lol, now a truck version, it'll have teathing problems, but hey give the team a chance, they'll sort it with the help of everyone who use's it, great work all at ALK Technologies
Annoying problem Every time I turn it on, I am asked if I want to continue a journey to somewhere I went over two months ago. I keep clearing it but it is always there! Most annoying. Apart from that it's a good app.
The navigation is pretty good... ONCE YOU GET YOUR ROUTE IN. The built-in online search for POIs is very bad and difficult to use... can't find things at all. No online option to plan a route to use on the device. So forced to plan on the smaller device and fight the limitation of the search features. Almost regret paying for this as others, such as RidewithGPS offer nice options.
Great offline Nav app. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because my app has frozen a few times. Never when it was important but still caused me to pull over and restart it before I could continue.
GET RADAR WEATHER ON MAPS #WAZE EVEN DIRECTS YOU AROUND ACCIDENT TRAFFIC TIEUPS!!!FREE, NO TRAFFIC $$.. **GET RADAR WEATHER ON MAP, WEATHER AFFECTS TRAVEL!!!!!ALSO..Waze is better for one major reason. They warn against POLICE, ACCIDENTS, TRAFFIC CAMERAS, things like that. If you guys would add those things to your app you'd have the best app around because your graphics are way superior to Waze.. They will beat you until you get the updates for the things I mentioned. Then you would be the best!
Co pilot Great sat nav app, have problems with speed cameras not showing up as I paid for them ? I am use speed cameras for the uk, I have downloaded updates and installed them ?
One of the best customer support, bad full addresses search Good - better customer support than Here and Sygic from my personal experience. It has less offline maps as compared to other systems. Full address search need improvement. Hope they can make improvement in their search engine. Enable " Send to GPS " feature, allowing Google map location to be sent to Co-pilot address search will be useful.
Had already planned a direct route on paper but decided to use my CoPilot I have the latest up dates and was traveling e-route along the A30 on my way to Comisaria del Carmen railway station in Murcia Spain had only just started my journey when the system informed me in 500yds take the next exit naturally ignored this information but it continued to inform me at every junction that I approached for almost an hour the map information that I programmed was correct no deviations just a direct journey along the A30 totally ridiculous so am rather disappointed and would have been going around in circles using this App so not very reliable.
Would like to upgrade to full premier license but get error message and can't complete purchase. Otherwise, I have reviewed so many Nav apps and this is clearly the best offline. Also allows an itinerary that can optimize multiple stops along your route (ie: house hunting) that most including Google Maps doesn't. No system does it all, so between this and Google Maps I get everything necessary. Worth the $9.
Great App Most useful feature for me is the route planner. I use the route planner all the time, and it works very, very well. If I could ask for an improvement, it would be either an easily accessable list of the planned stops, so I can know where I am heading or perhaps the next destination that pops up when last destination reached. Too often I am uncertain of the calculated trip. I use Copilot most days, and many times a day and find it the best after must testing of others. Good work.
No good!! Needs to update the names of the streets and exits in NY city plus left and right turns regulations!!! It will be a huge plus!!!
What more do you need ...? Does the job well. But ....Big problem for me though is can't use external BTGPS receiver - I see the NMES data stream from external paired device, but no instructions how to get Co-Pilot to read this stream in Co-Pilot settings > GPS.. This is Co-Pilot 9 for Android on Nexus 4. I think I have fixed it and now have lost my edit ... to help others. This is not in the User Guide for Co-Pilot.
Won't start without mobile data connection When you most need a map and directions this all let's you down. Just arrived in a new country? Need to find the hotel? Phone got no data connection? Fail. CoPilot won't start without a data connection. What use are offline maps if the app won't start when you are offline!
Flat out refuses to start a navigation route even when using "continue with basic free features" unless you create a co-pilot account leading me to ask what's the point of the seven day trial? .. Locating "places of interest" (AKA a destination other than a postcode) is a convoluted process. Why do I need to select a category of POI in order to search for one? This is not an app to get going quickly with. The navigation map lags on a freshly booted four-core Nexus device with no other apps running and appears limited to either zooming or scrolling but not both at the same time. Coming from Google maps navigation which is a get up and go experience straight out of the box, the user experience of CoPilot seems unnecessarily difficult and not thought out for on-boarding new subscribers. Check out "Here" maps for an example of how easy and fast it should be to get driving after install.
Worth using Simple app, easy to use. Far better maps of Greece than any other GPS I used (Sygic, Garmin, Navmii, openstreetmap). Any GPS can route you via highways and tolls, but only this one decenly allows you to avoid tolls. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is difficult menu to upgrade from free version to paid one.
CoPilot I think this is a great little app. I use WiFi mostly, with optional data if I need it(tracfone), so if I were to leave my house and use something like Google Maps, I'd burn through a ton of data($$$). The maps that you download(on CoPilot) are very large, but if you have plenty of storage on your phone or a sd card you're good. Some people(like me =) ) with less storage on their phone will DEFINITELY need a sd card for this app. I haven't actually used it yet for navigation, but I have high hopes!
Suburb or town feature request on current road Next to the current street name can you add the suburb or town name? To understand what I mean check out SYGIC, it's a very useful piece of information to have especially from a safety perspective if you need help. Some of the same roads overlap into many towns and suburbs making it hard for ambulance or police to get to you. This world make a good positive improvement to copilot.
Best sat satnav I've had! Copilot is the best satnav I've had! And I've had loads. They all sometimes get things wrong and you've gotta use common sense. Once one of the popular ones (no names mentioned) tried to take me against the flow of traffic in London. My version of Copilot is smooth on a HTC one m8. Just changed phones to a galaxy s7 edge! So will update review after tested on new phone.
Works well, not perfect Offline uses a lot of storage. You do not have the option of downloading only the states you want, and the regions are very large and will likely contain many states you don't need. Searching for a destination is nowhere as easy or intuitive as Google maps, but once you manage to find where you want to go, it is pretty reliable getting you there. Multiple way points are a big plus. If you want to easily import gpx files, get osmand instead of this.
My main navigation app, great map display. My only gripe is the settings menu is a bit messy, I only change settings if I change my phone or do a hard reset and find looking through all the menu options frustrating. Why not save the settings in the cloud backup?
Still loving it Update on earlier comments which mentioned long time to locate position. Don't know if it is new phone or updated software, but back to normal. 5/5 previously as well. Feature I would like? Directions to be played through car speakers via Bluetooth connection (possible?).
co pilot ive reinstalled co pilot onto my new phone & its asking me to pay for voice & 3d maps when i already had it,,,ive restored my license but isnt giving me my voice & 3d maps,,,i want a refund for the voice & maps that ive already purchased & have only used for 5 months on my old phone,,,,ive been ripped off!!!!!! Sent my purchased receipt & i still havn't received my full maps or e refund!!! YOU STILL HAVN'T RESTORED MY FULL LICENSE EVEN THO I HAVE SUBMITTED PROOF OF MY PAYMENT,,,I WANT A FULL REFUND NOW!!!
Does exactly as it says, effortlessly! I've been using this app for work as an artic driver in the UK for years. I use campervans settings to avoid B roads and other restrictions. Works brilliantly. I've come to trust this app 100%! I'd give it 6 stars if it could drive the truck!
Terrible Customer Service I have tried several times or approximately 6 months to receive my password via customer service. If you request a temporary password it should be emailed as promised. Even after I recalled my original password I couldn't log in because after requesting the temp the system locks you out because the temp password I didn't receive is now the only password the app will recognize. Please respond to this issue.
It's ok I only use co-pilot when I have no service because it just seems laggy and it doesn't tell me the next turn on the display. It also crashes quite a bit. It's only good for getting out of a no service zone. Waze is my fave by far.
No street names This is almost everything I need. I have the 7 day free trial activated and the turn by turn street names are not spoken as advertised.. Unless this trial version works properly why should I buy the full version. I have already forked out money for another which doesn't work. HERE which is FREE works better than paid but it is very limited eg. No waypoints etc
Not up to date These maps are no where near up so date. My neighborhood has been here since 2007 and it doesn't show that it exists. And it shows train tracks that have been pulled up and abandoned since 1997. Crap guys, at least cross reference your maps with Google or Bing maps.
Galaxy s5 I used this app when I was down in the United States and it worked great. Now whenever I try to access the maps it just freezes and quits. On top of that I just bought new maps so that kind of frustrates me. Please fix the crash issues, it tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that did not work.
Same as HTC sensation only difference is that my licensed version is on a Pocket PC support are saying we will be in touch how long do i need to wait? annoyed CoPilot user Just want to transfer my purchased version
Hacked Off I bought the app with UK maps plus the maps for Spain which had voice guidance. After resting my phone I have reinstalled but have no UK maps or voice guidance. I'm getting messages that I need a premium account to have voice guidance and to buy the UK maps! I have restored my licence but that's not helped ?
Battery hog, but works well I like the app, but it eats up the battery like crazy! My 2 amp car charger couldn't keep up. Use with a good charger and you should be fine. Being able to set way points is something you can't do with Google Maps.
Love it! Does what it's supposed to do. Like the free updates to app and maps. I did have an issue with the GPS receiver when moving to my new Fairphone, but support gave the right tips to solve the problem! Well done!
Only app that takes BNG coordinates. Love the fact that it works offline without monthly refresh. I haven't found another satnav or app that takes national grid coordinates. No adverts, easy to use. A 3d map view would be a nice addition.
It took me less than 30 minutes of using CoPilot Free to convince me to purchase the Premium version. An outstanding user interface, excellent turn-by-turn directions and easy address targeting coupled with Traffic make this an easy choice. Well done, ALK.
The GUI is the least convenient and most troubling of the many similar apps I've tested.
Android 6 This has worked extremely well up to my HTC phone being upgraded to android 6. Now there seems to be a degree of incompatibility with copilot. The gps side of the program seems to struggle to lock on and give the next direction and junction information. Navigation still works just no visual or verbal directions.
Wouldn't take me to Dover Ferry Terminal I put in the postcode P&O ferries gave me for their terminals at Dover but Co-Pilot insisted on taking me to Ramsgate port which is about 45 miles away from Dover.
Pretty good Works well. I'm not keen on the address entry system. Just let me put in a house number and street name or post code, I don't know the name of cross-streets. If I did I wouldn't need sat-nav.
Great App Great App for trucks and car. It is a full functioning stand alone GPS App on your phone or tablet, no wifi no data just download your map and go. And if you break your device you can simply move it to your new device because it's an App! Just sign in to your account and reload your maps. With a normal GPS device you would need to buy a new device and maps too for $200 to $450 or more. But the Co Pilot gps app is less than $30.00. Why spend money on an expensive GPS again, buy the App?!!
