Does what it does very well I use this for my most used contacts. Works like it should. Icon doesn't auto-update with contact picture, but that's hardly an issue.
after latest update the icons put the numbers on certain contacts and looks awful. Needs the option to remove. How can I get the old version back ?
Nigh perfect 4.5 stars really! Just downloaded and using it on Xperia Neo V with ICS. A really user-friendly and customizable-enough widget. You place a 1x1 widget for each contact you want on your homescreen, and you select the default action: show actions, show contact, call number, send an sms or e-mail. If you select "show actions", a pop-up will appear when you touch the widget, where you select one of those actions. The only thing I see it's missing is WhatsApp integration; add it and this app gets 5 stars easily. I was actually hoping for a 4x4 box widget that would allow me to choose each and every contact, regardless of it being in my favorites or not, for somehow the widgets I'd tried before failed to capture most of my favorites. This little widget came as a surprise, but a good one. It's a little tiresome at first to place widgets one by one for each contact, but in turn it lets you choose actions for each one and add/delete contact widgets freely. I firmly recommend.
Useful widget I concur with Simon - adding the type tag would be very useful. However, much more serious is that I don't get the contact name displayed with the icon on the home screen. I have to rely on position/photo to identify the contact.
Great app Nice app. Don't take so much space on the desk. Work great - HTC Wildfire
James bionic Works great ESP for my contacts at work... But got one contact that I set n keeps bringing up a different number.... But the other 7 I set work perfec
Working great for me I use it just for home-screen icons to quick-call or text contacts. Super easy, & I can use as many icons as I want (instead of being forced to use them in groups, like 4x1). Even works w/the "Tiny Call Confirm" (anti butt-dialing) app I also use. Love it!
Pasty Perfect, exactly what you need for quick dialing.
Awesome widget The best that i have seen and used! Its simple, and easy to use.
Good with bugs Makes extra thread Will not clear last function, you have to back out before you can do other functions.
Love it! Really quite happy with this widget! Only problem is it partially overlaps on my 5x5 GO Launcher screen
Icons missing After rebooting the phone, all the contact icons I put on the homescreen were greyed out and not working anymore. until then it worked fine.
Just what i wanted Simple but does exactly what you expect from a contact widget. Gets the photo and the name from the phone book
Great app, would have preferred to have picture options. Uninstalling because i found the same feature default on my phone
Love it but...... When i select contact then i have to choose action (even though i set default) wish it was just touch and dial. HTC Rezound.
Nexus - Was perfect, now no option to show (large) picture only. Bring that option back and rating will be back to 5 stars.
Just what I needed I've used this to add my more "used" contacts to my home screen. You get to label it or if there is a picture associated with that contact, then the picture is there. You can setup the default behavior of the individual widgets when you click them - bring up dialog, dial mobile, dial home number or text. Keeps it simple and that seems to allow it work without bugs.
Would have been better if we could have one widget with all the favorite contacts on it.. works well with HTC Aria
Great great great Great app, working perfectly on HTC Desire. Just one comment : depending of the size of the picture, label is visible or not... So, just need an update so that the label is always in front of the picture and this will be perfect. Great job. Thxs to the developper.
Great Nice and simple, exactly what I need. Works great on my Motorola Defy.
Very good For those who likes simple and quick functionality. I would also recommend to try srgb Contact widget
Awesome for the LG Optimus V I hated the tiny little contact shortcut icons for speed dials on the LG Optimus V - this is just what I was looking for. It doesn't sync with facebook contact photos, but if you assign them manually in the phone or in your gmail contacts on the web, it's perfect!
Memory Hog takes 60 MB! Not the advertised 35 KB. But works great
An excellent widget. A great widget to call/message ur favourits. It consumes a little space in ur mob memory.
Doesn't work with 2.3.3. Shows the contact as unknown when attempting to dial and then doesn't make a call.
Great! Very convenient and easy. Love it yo!
Galaxy s3 Very nice but not loading Facebook contacts on s3. Does on the s2 for some reason.
Error The contact pic only worked with the first two, then it only displayed the app icon and part of the number. (Samsung Infuse 4G with Go Launcher EX)
Good but buggy When contacts are synced with Facebook contact photo is replaced by a dummy picture
Wrks gd with my lg ally. Just alil big...takes up too much space on the homescreen.
Like the ease of use but does not show labels on droid & needs an update/edit feature
Works good. My phone has this feature but my current theme acts up with them. So this app covered me in that area. No glitches. All powerful Droid X.
Feedback Awsome widget... One suggestion: allow updating widget icon when a contact is updated without having to deleting and placing it again.
A very handy widget to have. Beats the built in one that comes with android. Thank you!
Doesn't work on bionic When I press on widget, it loads my contacts but then they all disappear and leave no widget to press.
It's OK It would be a LOT nicer if it displayed the person's NAME and not the phone number.
My only suggestion is to have the photos update more regularly. Other than that it's perfect!
Great app! Is it possible to make the icon stand out more?
Pretty good I like the individual widgets but wish it would come with text under each image. The widget didn't work after restarting phone. HTC EVO
Mediocre Can't edit name once contact is placed on the home screen. No option to change appearence of the icon or text. Apart from direct calling, Android's built in functionality is better. Sorry but I uninstalled it.
! Please remove shadow and make pic larger
Wery good Please remove shadow and make the notice ander the picture. Now the picture close the notice...
Doesn't work - Samsung S3 Probably, please confirm if yes, because of the Go Launcher
Cool Simple. Lightweight. Works. Maybe some features would be great, like: - Backup/Restore - Translations
Exellent!!! The best widget
Good Remove shadow please
Too small on fullhd screen
Want to be able to sms or call via one touch on home screen and with this app must choose one or the other not both.
Ok but doesn't work Nice and simple! But it doesn't always go to the contacts!!! It just opens the last text message from whoever it was from...
Not working now. I used the software earlier and it was working fine. But after upgrading to the new OS, it doesn't simply works. I uninstalled the software and installed again. Whatever contacts I had in the home screen earlier, that also I lost. The software does not add any contacts on home screen anymore and just keeps hopping on the same contacts screen. No menu or any further information to proceed. Rgds Shyam
Do one thing. Do it well. Coming as I do from the Unix world, that's the design philosophy I appreciate it, and this app displays it in spades. It has *just* the right amount of complexity. Or would, if you could put Widgets in Folders. So, one suggested improvement: Allow the selection of a Group, instead of a Contact, and put one extra menu in front to pick its members. Still, an A.
Love it This widget makes my life so much easier. I have never been one to memorize phone numbers so before this widget I would always have to go to contacts, look for the name, so forth and so on. Now I just put my boyfriends, my mom, my best friends, exc, contact number on my home screen and click on the picture. It asks if I want to text, call, or email. Pretty simple.
Menu only kind of works I have a contact selected and set click behavior to show the menu. After clicking the widget and selecting SMS once, clicking again will always go direct to SMS, no menu opens. Other than that, I really like the app.
Photos not working Lately when I'm putting a widget up, no picture shows with it. All my old ones display their picture, but none of the new ones do -- just the contact widget icon. I love this app otherwise.
Very good but!! Works great until my phone (HTC wildfire S) does a reset or restart. Then its lost all the contact icons I had up on a screen ...so have to add then all again...very annoying
Doesn't work on Galaxy Note3 Just puts useless icons on home page. Can't assign a contact to it. Plz advise if I'm missing something
No photos, only shows part me last name... terrible. [Droid X - Verizon]
What Happened? It worked great. It looked great. Then something changed. Now icons are small and text is jumbled. Why do these things change? I really liked it the way it was. Now I am removing it.
Easy I use it for all my favorites. But on my Galaxy s3 it had large icons. Now on my s5 it has small icons that I can't see well. I'll be looking for something different.
Works but could be improved I have three problems with this: 1. The picture is small (doesn't take the full 1x1 place) 2. No way to avoid text completly (probably because of the first problem) 3. I wish it supported doubletap to open the contact (while single tap is used to dial)
Very clean and simple - too simple. On my Galaxy S2 no labels at all - would be nice to know if icon initiated call or text...
No pictures Works fine but no picture shows up. Disappointing really but oh well.
Finally Simple app...even with so many apps out there it can be a journey to find a one touch contact dialer that is easy, simple and doesn't over do it. What is the optimum contact picture size/resolution? When I add a contact it's kinda small for me...but if I re-size the picture remains small instead of re sizing to fit the new dimensions. Awesome app - looking forward to your updates
Promising but buggy on Droid 2. Widget names don't display properly. Can't handle pause in phone number.
Meh Does not show contact photos like the sample pictures show. Worst part is the dev does not respond to any emails. Useless.
Handy tool Makes life a lot easier. If contact has multiple phone numbers adding the type tag would be useful so you know which is which. This is just a nice to have., useful even without it.
Crap Most phones have this already but better. Total crap!
Fail Doesn't show phone number title. Are you trying to sms a land line? Don't know. Just shows u a number
