No Bionic Worked great on my original Droid, but doesn't work on the Bionic when alarm clock is active.
Sadly I can configure it but nothing shows on rooted Desire running Froyo. Would love this to work.
Pita to use with a contact after you update fields. Power off and on disables app. What's the point then? What email to contact developer? Epic fail
Did not run on Droid X. Said I was running the HTC platform. Asked if I wanted to continue, said yes, endless loop.
Great, simple app! I used to use the lock screen information provided by AVG and was disappointed when that died when I updated my Droid X. On a razr maxx now and this works terrific on eclipse 1.3 and I would be very surprised if it had problems on any stock ROMS. No complaints whatsoever. Thanks to the developer for a simple, functional and ad free program.
Had this on my samsung moment and for some reason it made my internet connectivity go in and out. Uninstalled immediately
Great idea, but stopped working after reboot. Uninstall. B really nice if it allowed calling the "return" #. Thanx, good effort.
App creates a fake upcoming alarm with your contact info so it shows up in lock screens, ingenious. V2.2
Moto Droid w/froyo. Makes lock pattern buttons cramped on first try and slowed every activity. After I removed it, boot time cut from 75 secs to 40.
Love it! I am using this for almost a year and I really like it. But it's quite annoying to keep getting the message it may crash. It works perfectly on my phone, so I don't need that reminder (I changed my screen resolution, maybe that's why I'm getting that warning). One warning the first time you start the app, would be sufficient. But overall: cool!!
Doesn't work on mytouch 4g. Why do I have to select a contact? It doesn't read the contact list. that is just silly
Poor Display on Droid Razr with ICS I just upgraded to ICS on a droid razr, and the 'If found please contact ...' blurb runs into and obscured by the day/date information on top-left of screen. Needs some sort of adjustment for ICS. Prior to this ICS upgrade, I would have rated this 5. Now it's 3.
Exactly what I wanted Works great! I wish I knew about this before I lost my phone. Maybe someone would have tried to return it.
Htc dream rogers - this app nuked my phone.. thanks guys.....
Kinda necessary :) thx 4 being free. We've had a camera once returned 2us because in our area people are helpful, so glad 2 find this. Droid.
Does not work Does not work on my htc rezound. Also, name of app on phone is different than name of app here in store. I hate it when they do that!
Nifty Little Program, but... I wish it would let you choose the contact card that Android lets you create so you can send it to people. As it stands currently, I had to make a contact for myself, which seems slightly pointless.
Great, but not working on my note. Used for years on many devices, but owner info not appearing on my Samsung galaxy note lock screen.
Reduces lock screen on desire. Contact info appearing on other widgets. Developer doesn't respond to email. Avoid this app!
I loved this app on my original droid. Unfortunately it doesn't work on my droid 2. So disappointed since i do believe the app to be the best.
Very hard to choose contacts because all it showed was random single or double digit numbers. After some trial and error I got it working. HTC Inc.
Makes changes to apps I didn't want changed Modified the start screen widget with out asking first. I tried uninstalling this but the changes remained. Reporting this as malicious.
Wow, it works, a bit of a fiddle, but it works! On my HTC One X, the alarm area on the lock screen is only 3 lines long, but that's enough to get my name and 2 contact numbers on by leaving the before text blank. Preview within the app always shows blank. Please add an option to suppress the HTC build warning nag that appears every time I open the app.
Not ready for prime time So I installed it and scrolled through my contacts. Nothing adequate so I created a fresh one called "My Contacts" and set up my info. Tried the lock screen. No message. Rebooted. No message. Disabled my daily alarm because I'd heard that might be a problem. Tried again and there it was, a tiny message that says: "If found please contact My Contact." Not very helpful. Uninstalling. The second star in the rating feels generous. It's really kind of shocking that there's no decent app that can display contact info on the lock screen.
It won't work on my droid pro. All the searches I did for personalizing the lock screen, this was the only 1 I found :(
Doesn't work & can't remove In the newer version of Android you can set this up in Security settings. This app only messes up my clock app and the clock on my weather widget.
Great Superb app. Easy and simple to use. Just that the text appears truncated on diff Android versions (xperia arc ).
On my HTC Hero (Android 2.1) it picks random contacts, I found it impossible to select my own contact details.
App lists contacts as random numbers with no names and no ability to search by name or phone number. Good concept but needs more work.
Exceptional Exactly what I needed for my Droid Charge. Pattern unlock is smaller, but now someone can contact me if I lose my phone.
Great app bt really, whats the chance that someone will really contact you? With pattern lock hit any button other then menu to see if it worked thx
It doesn't work on Motorola Cliq/Dext When contact is selected, nothing happens! It doesn't recognize my selection. Does anyone know how fix it? Thanks
Excellent. Would give it a fifth star if it didn't show up on the Nexus docking screen, cutting of the upper part of the clock.
Works great on my G1. Useful app if you lose your phone IF they would return it which I doubt. I have it just in case though.
Would be better if all info could be edited, like using first initial only. Also, removes charging % on incredible when plugged in.
When picking a contact gave as a list of numbers on 2.1 HTC desire using Google contacts. Otherwise a useful app once set up.
Left my phone in a London black cab. Cabbie found it cleaning out his car a few hours later. Got the phone back to me 3 days later. Good app
HTC MyTouch 4G Slide doesn't allow contact selection. Wsh it worked because I used this on another phone and was great.
Contact lookuo doesnt work on the mytouch. Need an overide or fix the problem. 3 stars for working on my g1.
This app used to work great on my G1 and now I've got the my touch slide and idk if it works on it or not. Please help. My touch is android 2.1.
Works when locked Great option if person who found phone can call only owner's alternate (and emergency, of course) through owner's phone directly but the phone is locked still. Also, suggest adding medical alert-like info on text field after owner's contact info. Great idea! On Samsung Galaxy Note (app screen is not optimized for my 5.3"display yet)
Wow. Just doesn't work. First I'm running on an Samsung S3 and it keeps warning me about crashing on an HTC Android. Then it's contact selection simply doesn't work. It only shows about 20 contacts instead of all of them. And there appears to be no way to actually enable it to be used. Forget it. Removed moments after installing.
Used to work great but no more I went to update my information and now it won't let me edit it or choose a contact. Broken despite numerous reinstalls.
Works on Samsung Moment but in settings gets HTC droid warning alot. Wish there was option for just free text and no contact. uses same space as alarm
Exactly what I was looking for I was worried that I would lose my phone and the lock screen would prevent people from notifying me. This app lets me display instructions on my lock screen that will allow people to contact my wife if they find my phone.
5 stars until now! Eclair clock-screen uses the same text as the lock screen, and with my contact info it gets bad formatted and ugly :(
Delivers Simple, yet well working piece of software. Hopefully helps my phone find its way back home should I ever lose it somewhere. Also handy for that ICE number!
Seems to be working just fine on my dell streak 5. Getting to the settings is awkward though, have to get to them via the Market app .
ive had no issues, it works. haven't tried to crash it.. (samsung bh2 android 1.6) only issue is, I doubt anyone in my hood would return a phone.
Doesn't work properly When contacts is selected, it only comes up with the name jack. Now, the message saying contact jack is permanently stuck on my lock screen and I can't remove it, even if I uninstall the app.
Looks awful on DInc's factory 'pattern' lock screen; buttons get lumped together. Does not show up at all with the PIN lock screen.
Good idea, but... Doesn't work at all on my Droid Bionic and is severely lacking in options anyway. I'd prefer a PIN lock and the option for the finder to use the device to call the numbers given.
Works for others, hence their high ratings but it was unable to access contact information on mytouch 4g and was useless to me. Please make it work!
Performs As the kind of person who "can't have nice things" because I constantly lose or break them... This app works and makes me happy.
Can't remove data from screen, tried to manually remove, then wiped cache in settings, then uninstalled. Still can't clear screen. URL broken. Suck!
Great idea but doesnt appear to work on epic 4g at least when pattern lock is on. I blame samsung for messing with the lock screen.
Nice idea It's a good idea, but it doesn't work for my phone. It scales the circles to unlock the phone very badly, so they overlap each other and it's hard to press them in the right combination. For a moment I thought I had locked myself out, but I managed to touch the right buttons. I tried to solve this by just displaying just the e-mail address, but the app can't do that. It always displays the name, too. But my e-mail address is basically my name, so I don't additional space wasted for my name.
Screenshot doesn't show it but This works great with the pattern lock. Its ONE screen, no additional clicks required, though the pattern does get a bit smaller.
Just what I needed :) Great, app does exactly what I needed it to do while staying simple & clean. Only problem is it kinda smooshes the pattern lock bubbles but the lock screen still works as normal.
Excellent but had to uninstall Worked PERFECTLY before Android OS upgrade to ICS....no more. All text is now unreadable on lock screen. Please fix!
Worked the first time, but would not show up on the locked screen again. Useless
The "you might be running HTC" warning is unnecessarily scary Can't you tell?! Other comments say works fine on Droid. Worth 5 stars if no warning.
Apparently will crash certain phones, so uninstalled without ever opening. Kudos to dev for the warning and solution on website
Exactly what i was looking for! 4 stars because it gets in the way of the alarm icon on the lock screen. I use it for ICE.
This thing sucks. Just like all other comments, only shows random numbers. I would rather have the ability to just provide free form text.
Good app to have, but i had to create a whole new contact for it since I'm using 2 diff contact's #s. Wish I could just enter free text.
Useful, but graphical issues I use pattern-based unlocking and it resizes the pattern to be smaller. That's ok but when you unlock the full size flashes up before the screen vanishes. Using Cyanogenmod 7.
Works fine on stock 2.20 nexus one. It pushes away the text that shows ther charging percentage. You could maybe implement a button instead?
Works great on Droid Charge Looking for app like this for a while. It has enough options (can add text b4 or after contact info) to get the job done. Does make pattern unlock smaller but can write phone # in text before & only include name & pattern size is sufficient. Works perfectly on Samsung Droid Charge running 2.3. Great job!
On incredible, does not display contact list, only numbers, perhaps its the internal contact id. If you guess right (impossible), the app works.
Desire fail. Contacts listed by number instead of display name. Fix it and I'll give it another go.
Waste of time. Can't pick contact, messes up lock screen. Desire.
Used to work, now broken. I had this working and it was great, but now it can't find any contacts so it does nothing. Don't fix was ain't broken, and don't break what is working!
Hector, stop stealing phones and erasing the settings. I put "reward if returned" plus my email, cuz of ppl like hector. i lost my phone and it worked
