Good app - does what it promises Easy to navigate. Good presentation. Good app

Peter Smith

Working fine for me? Can't understand all the other negative complaints? I logged in and immediately all the publications changed from "PURCHASE" to "PURCHASED". When I clicked on them, they downloaded. Suggest others having problems ensure they actually have a digital subscription (as opposed to a normal paper magazine one). If there is a problem still, contact Choice directly. I've always found them very responsive.

Marco Leoncelli

Pointless I am a Choice digital subscriber, yet the app wants me to purchase individual publications.

Paul Fraser

Pointless I can sign in as a subscriber on my nexus 7 but still the app wants me to pay for any issue, I expected much better of Choice, this is pointless...?

Brian Hancock

And the winner is Choice. For a supposed consumer advocate Choice should announce itself as this year's winner of the Shonkies. As a digital subscriber paying good money I expect far better than this. There is no point in signing in - there is nothing but past magazines to buy!; magazines I have already paid for as digital content. This is a huge blight on an organisation I used to rely upon.

Ken Wiltshire

Make sure you have a DIGITAL Subscription first. A lot of people have written about not being able to view magazine issues freely, although they said that they were Choice subscribers. It's worth mentioning that Choice Magazine has both digital and 'paper' magazine subscriptions, as well as a 'website-only' subscription. People who originally chose the most common subscription would normally receive a monthly magazine in the mail, as well as access to the Choice web site reviews and articles. That particular subscription does not include a digital version of the monthly magazine. It's likely that those individuals having problems with this App don't have the digital magazine subscription. When I just logged-on to this App for the first time, the status of this month's magazine changed from the $ value to 'purchased'. However, all of the other (previous) issues remained unchanged and 'for sale'. It makes sense, as my subscription only started today.

Ashton Batty

Crap I can sign in, but it still wants me to pay per issue.

Sonia Hunyadi

Worst consumer ap for consumers ever I am signed in as a Choice subscriber and it is not obvious how to search for anything. I click on the mags and despite checking that I am signed in it wants to charge me. What's the point of this ap?

Adnan Kolakovic

Worst app ever Honestly, and app cannot be worse than this. It's supposed to allow me access to the !magazine that I paid for, yet it's asking me to purchase it!! Disgrace

David Egarr

Confusing I am a member already but wants me to buy a magazine. I can't find a search function for the particular product review

troy darben

Lazy app Never updates with your new magazine. Youre always logged in but it requires you to log out and log into app ever time a magazine arrives just to force app to realize you are a member. Easy to fix but choice don't bother. Apart from that app is just a pdf viewer which i guess is fine. Prob worth more than 1 star but i couldnt be bothered changing it either.

Jack Annear

Authentication Problems +1 to the error of needing to pay for everything even when logged in with a digital subscription. Otherwise, nice interface but missing critical login functionality.

Karen Carkner

Useless. Misrepresented as being able to read your digital subscription on a tablet but you have to buy each magazine. Double dipping.

Jurek Nowak

A complete joke for a subscriber The consumer protection magazine that gouges.

Jim B

Rubbish I'm not paying for something I've already paid for. Is Choice even aware of what's happening with this app?

Lidia Majger

You can't be serious, I've paid your subscription for many years ,come on get your act together people like myself are the ones who keep paying

Peter Wood

Pay it again, Sam . . . Accepted my valid web subscription & still wanted me to pay for viewing magazines online!

Ross Warren

App not fool proof Can download my purchases now but went too download an issue and it charged for a separate issue (new $10 purchase for individual mag). Trying to cancel transaction now!

Keena Hudson

Pay it again Already a subscriber but this app is only to buy past magazines. I would like to be able to access the site more easily on my tablet.

Janet Gray

Shonky Asks me to pay for access even though I'm already a digital subscriber and logged in. Surely this is a basic test to pass before releasing an app?? Using nexus 7 running 4.4.3.

Gerald Hofer

Buy as subscriber? I hope Choice is testing their own app soon and discover that it just does not work as advertised.

Rod K

Server connection issues Poorly designed interface, hiding sign in in menu. Bigger issue, "can't connect to server, try again later"

Dion Doddridge

Crap Have a paid subscription and still asks me to pay for issues.

Brendon Parker

Useless cannot sign in (NO PROBLEM ON IPAD)

Craig Ellen

Money grab Already subscribe online but asks me to pay for mags

Peter Katz

So so Inconsistent in its functionality

Jamie Burrage

Shonky Choice Bug fixes? Which ones? Also a Nexus 7 user - I can sign in but asked to pay for editions... What's the point? Back to the website version.

Magnus Stensson

Shonky Updated: The latest version at least allows you to log in, which is an improvement. ----- Choice should give itself a shonky award for this app, Selling digital subscriptions for an app that doesn't let you log in is not very consumer oriented. Login timed out is all I get. And no customer support either, just standard answers not related to my problem and no follow up response.

Sean Slattery

NO Choice!!! Why bother suggesting punters install the app and not provide a service. Cancelling my whole subscription after I get my 3 hard copies. DUMB! VERY DUMB!

Basil Hendroff

Good news! The CHOICE Magazine app has just been updated and the log in problems that digital subscribers with Nexus devices have been experiencing appear to be fixed. There's also an improved look and feel and I love the new pinch and zoom which works well on a 7" tablet. Only one thing left on the wish list for me and that is landscape mode as well as portrait mode.

Jacques Baudin

Still doesn't work Will Sign In but still asks to pay for a magazine despite being a member already. I'm running a Nexus 7, hope they fix it soon.

Grant Hamilton

Ironic that a consumer advocate... Website can't even produce a simple a subscriber and being asked to pay for digital magazine. Seems from other reviews this has been an issue for months....laughable.

Jason Atherton

Double Dipping? Why do I have to pay for an issue when I'm a choice + subscriber? Seems to be a long standing issue with no comment by Choice. Not a good look guys.

John Heller

Login problem fixed, but... Since the update, I can now log in on my Nexus 7. But, there is still a price on each magazine. Trying to open one results in a $10.49 request from Google Play. This app deserves a Shonky.

Philip Elliott

Can't logon - useless Junk. Don't waste your time. Can't logon on Galaxy Note 2014. I paid for a digital subscription which i can't access. A consumer watchdog magazine ripping off its own customers. Oh, the irony...

Ashok Arasu

Authentication Timed-out Just "upgraded" to "Digital CHOICE Plus". Unable to sign on with my Nexus 10. Waste of money! What consumer association do I complain to?

Michael Taylor

Fixed at last! Finally fixed the bug that killed it under Android 4.4.

David Musson

Useless! This app will not let me log on, and now it seems to have died, as it is permanently stopped. I tried complaining to Choice, but got no reply. Considering that Choice is not afraid of complaining about other suppliers, it seems odd that they can not take any criticism themselves. I have given the app one star but it really does not deserve that. However, if I choose no stars, it appears to be unrated.

Meekas Mum

App works really well for me too. Right from the first time I opened it everything worked just as expected. Magazines changed to Purchased from date Digital membership commenced and downloaded immediately.

Steve H

Very poor Doesn't recognize my digital subscription (Galaxy S5). Will delete app and source mag online, which works just fine for me. Choice is still a valuable entity - just a crappy app developer. And some ppl are WAY too precious...

Richard Williamson

Poor Log on verification but otherwise ok Continually having to log out and in again to access magazine subscription as it fails to recognise my credentials as a paying member. Otherwise the app is basic and is fine for reading.

Les Brezansky

Useless I'm paying $20 / quarter for online subscription yet I'm asked to pay again? Online subscription is next to useless btw, reviews are rubish. Uninstal/unsubscribe

Phil Carney

Choice Online This works and works well on my Tab.

Russell Costello

Crap app from a consumer org so critical of bad products. For each new edition of Choice magazine, I have to uninstall the app and reinstall it, login and sometimes repeat the procedure before it recognises my subscription. Otherwise, it tries to charge me $9.99 for the magazines that I have paid for. Not good enough from a consumer advocate. I rang and was told that if that works, I will have to keep doing it. OK when you in but not as fuctional and easy to use as Zinio.

Paul Fraser

Pointless I can sign in as a subscriber on my nexus 7 but still the app wants me to pay for any issue, I expected much better of Choice, this is pointless...?
