* UI adjustments for Android 6.0
Any.do part of our Productivity and have average installs from 1000000 to 5000000. Last Update Feb. 1, 2016. Google play rating is 84.7557. Current verison is 1.1.7. Actual size 13.0 MB.
Pretty nice Looks great and works pretty well. The interface takes a little getting used to, but after a while feels fairly natural. As of this writing, it is limited to events up to March 2017, so you can't schedule future events beyond a certain range, which forces you back to the default Calandar app. Doesn't pick up new calendars from Google.
Highly recommended but never worked This app came in highly recommended by a friend and the app just blew me away when he showed it to me. Decided to download since the integration with any.do is nice. However, app always automatically closes each time I try to create an event...which sucks since it is the primary purpose for the app. Tried reinstallation but still doesn't work. Highly disappointed.
Good but any.do doesn't sync right Anytime I add an any.do entry it shows up in Cal with a check mark already on it as if I have already completed the task. But I havent. Am I doing this wrong? Can I fix this. I love these two apps and would like to get them properly working together
When the phone date changes day by day, the cal widget still showing the date when it first initiated.. Facebook birthday doesnt showed up even after I connect it to facebook..
I love it for its simplicity and visual appeal. Unfortunate that it works only with Google contacts. I wish I could send event invites to contacts listed as phone-only.
Just great. Too bad the new one by Google is much better. Oh well it was fun while it lasted.
Beautiful but not perfect. Simple yet functional and beautiful design. Easy to use. However loads and deletes events quite slow (10 -15sec, Zopo 980), sometimes widget keeps contents from previous day. The only way to refresh it is closing it. Tap on an event does not open it. I must go to main calendar to see details. Still a good choice.
Not bad, but.....! ...... I hate the font. It just doesn't look nice on the note 3 (imo)! I'm sure it re empty changed because I never used to think that before! It just doesn't seem as polished as the rest of the app!
Love it but wish my dismissed events would stay dismissed Great interface. I like the headsup feature and the different views in the calendar. My one problem with it is that when I dismiss a reminder, it comes right back in a couple minutes. Not sure if it's a bug or a setting I'm missing or something but it's very annoying.
Good needs some refining Its quick to use, easy, looks fun to use. Definately needs a edit/delete "only this event" for recurring events and more repeat options like the Samsung calendar. Would like to be able to edit other calendars within this app as well. If only the samsung calendar and this calendar would merge :)
Invitations Cannot for the life of me figure out how to invite people to meetings. App will send an email, but the recipient gets a blank message, with no prompts to accept , decline, tentatively accept or suggest another time. Because of this, functionality as a mobile business and productivity solution is compromised. But, given the quality of the app itself,I presume the creators are able to address this. Good app overall
Fonts stretched on the LG G3 Loved using this app on my HTC One (M7) but the text is all stretched out on the LG G3. Since this app is all about beauty I can't stand using it when it looks so terrible.
Calendar I love all the options it has on it and the beautiful photos. I am also suprized every day when I open it and see reminders I've put in it that I had forgotten. Thanks for creating a beautiful calender app like this. And free!!!
Lovely! One request.. This is a lovely calendar app and I would love to use it, but it would be so helpful if there was an option for the widget to choose to show only one google calendar without it changing the google calendar app's viewing.. I have my social calender and I use the google app. I would love to be able to use the Cal widget to view my work calendar by default while my google calendar shows my social by default. I don't know about working with apps, so I'm not sure if this is possible...I just know it'd be extremely helpful!
Love it... juuuust Love the app. It's beautiful, easy to use, Any.do integration... great. Just two things though. I've sent you a feedback mail regarding this almost a year ago but I didn't get an answer. 1- the way the app writes down the address often isn't the same way Google would (I find that weird because I know the app uses the Google maps engine for the location search), so Google now can't find the address, which is a huge letdown. 2- all Facebook birthdays just stopped showing. Reinstalling didn't help. Please help
Love it. Love this app. Easy to read at a glance. Easy to add to calendar as well. Would love to be able to share a calendar with my partner though
Pretty, compact - more please! Nifty little app that looks and feels great. Some issues worth addressing though: allowing direct tapping into entries from the widget, having dismissed items stay dismissed, and offering an hourly schedule / day columns view.
Awesome but... Can you please make a date that has an event a different color in the week or month view so it's easy to pick or which days are booked. The line underneath isn't impactful enough or even noticeable thanks!!
Love it I love it.. Although i would love to have a better way of traversing through the months... Its tough and time taking to go to dec from jan. It'd be nice to have a go to date feature
Great Love how it integrates the navigation options for calendar tasks and the equally as awesome iOS version. Its rare that an app is equal in quality on both platforms. Awesome product. Keep up the good work and Thank you!
This is the Calendar App & Widget that I kept. I started with Any.do and was very excited when Cal became available, because I had tried so many calendar apps over the years. Now, I find myself using Cal more than Any.do. The Cal Widget looks great and I love how the app works when opened through the Widget. There's ONE thing I wish Cal had that I loved to use on Any.do, and that is to take a Task or Event and to rotate it forward to "Tomorrow". Other than that one feature, there is nothing lacking in this App. It works great. It looks great. I love it!
Good but problem in syncing with desktop is frustrating This app is great when it works but when it does not sync changes i made in my desktop calender it is very problematic. There is no refresh option for the calender therefore i can't sync changes when i need them asap, which is very very frustrating. Please fix this.
Basic calendar feature missing As a calendar app, you should be able to look up any date in the future or past easily, instead of having to scroll month by month to the date I want to see. It's a common flaw in almost all the calendar apps. This is a basic feature, why can't anyone think to add it?
Really gorgeous. Not great.... The main thing i can't seem to figure out is viewing *more than one day at a time at once (like a Week view, only i just want 3 or 4 days at a time) * and all the events in a day compressed vertically so i don't have to scroll up and down to see all the events in a day. *visual blocks of time, not just text saying the start time * 5 stars when this happens *anyone else who has busy days and wants to see ALL of the day at once, try BUSINESS CALENDAR, the one I'm going back to. Function over Form
Good for phone, below average for a tablet As someone who uses the companion app, Any.do, I really want to like and use this more. But as a tablet user I'm constantly underwhelmed when contrasting this to other calendar apps. If there were more options and views for a tablet aside from a month view, it would be of greater utility.
Great design and functionality but... Love the minimalistic design and user friendly interface. The only thing I didn't like was that when I synced the Any.do app with this calendar and filled out a number of things to buy in my Grocery List, all the food items show up in the calendar. I like that my Personal to-do list shows up in the calendar so I wish there was an option to choose which list you want and not want to show up in the calendar. Even better is if I could condense all my grocery items so that only one task shows on the calendar.
Widget missing Widget goes missing if I remove it from a home screen. To add it again, I have to reinstall the app. The app is great but this widget issue is frustrating.
Best calendar app I know I had problems with the app taking ages for actions to happen. But after I reset my phone, everything is back to normal! Delighted.. Love the app!
Moving on This app has a relatively decent UI but tries too hard with the background images. Slightly cludgy to begin with, it takes a second to fire up (probably because it's downloading stupid background images) so it's not immediately responsive. Stock android calendar app from Google is simply better designed, faster, and more responsive. There's just no reason for this app and no compelling advantage. Doesn't even have an agenda view. Pass.
Much better than the stock app. Googles new calendar is decent but they dropped or made more difficult features that were already working well for them. This app is feature rich and has a beutiful UI. My only complaint is the widget. Why are we forced to have a calendar widget that must take up an entire screen? Shrinking it down to my prefered 1x4 screws up the words and only shows 3 appointments at most at a time. I do prefer the 1x4 widget of the stock app a lot more as I can easily see my entire day and the next and read it clearly. Unfortunately, there is no way to change what app the stock widget opens.
Stunning! Unbelievably beautiful! I had been looking for a sharp looking android calendar for years. I really had given up on ever finding one. When i first opened this one up... I was stunned... Litteteraly, my mouth fell open. This is the most unique, beautiful android calendar i have ever seen. I love the flipboard type of look. I want so bad to give it 5 stars but... when i see some good settings, i absolutely will! Please keep up the great work and incorporate some settings. It's beautiful! Finally, a truly great looking calendar!
Works as designed I'm sure... but the design is... meh. Any.Do has a beautiful dark theme. I thought Cal would include one eventually but it's still just... UGH. The widget is terribly obtrusive, and the Heads Up event notifier sits on top of EVERYTHING!!! It gets really annoying when I'm trying to use other apps, so I had to turn it off. I really like the functionality and the integration with any.do, I just wish it wasn't so awful to look at.
One option that would help When reminder pops, it would be good if there was written if it is pre remind of 2 days or one our as requested from the user, no information if the task is now or in the future
Beautiful app but Used to be reliable and beautiful nows its just eye candy.. Facebook birthdays does not appear which to me is very important because i don't want to open FB all the time to look out for friends/ aquantances birthdays..
Excellent! I really enjoy this calendar, so simple and easy to use! And combined with Any.do is the best organization tool! Suggestions: I just wish that one could be able to cross down (as in a to do list) the displayed activities, events, reminders & B-days, would be great as well to be able to wish Happy b-day to someone through the Cal with one press of the item, and if there was in the future a way to link it with a daily journal app would be even better.
Nicest looking Calendar by far stylish calendar and by far coolest but whats missing is a full month or week widget layout.. Hope they make it happened that would be awesome.
It's surprisingly amazing! Solves most of the problems Google's flagship calendar app has
Notification behaviour still strange Cal is an interesting concept, but I think the execution of the 'minimal' layout doesn't really come off and it ends up being quite clunky. A big problem I had a year ago when I last tried it was the notification behaviour being so brute force. That hasn't changed. Even if I configure notifications to be 10 minutes before an event, I still get them 30 minutes before, and then TWO of the same notifications 10 minutes before. That's even worse than the Outlook Preview mandatory notification mess.
No longer reminds me of events Beautiful, not that functional. Love the design and the notifications are fantastic, but the app lacks functionality, and only the tablet gets monthly view, you cannot get anything but agenda view on the phone. I want more customizability with notifications. I have repeating day-long events and my phone wakes me up at 11:50pm with notifications. A dark theme would be great too.
"Pretty", but functional? So far it seems to be one of the better options available for a good calendar / widget / reminder app on android. However, a few things would make it 5 star: 1. allow the widget to 'not show all day' events 2. truly sync google/exchange calendars - either I have not figured this out, or it doesn't do it. I'm trying to have my google events IN my exchange calendar, and vice-versa. Not just have them both show up on *this* calendar app on my phone. 3. maybe remove some of the 'eye candy'. It's nice, but a bit overboard.
Fit the purpose completely. Easy in use. Please add ability to mark task as done.
Pkease add Please add more widgets (transperent).
Oops... Ok, i got it :)
Please make the all app in Russian language. It is looking like wrong made
Nice, but... The app has a lot of nice features and I love the integration with Any.do, but the font annoys me enough to not use this app.
Needs ability to set reminders more than two days. Very nice UI. The only thing that makes it usable for me is inability to set reminders more than two days. Stock allows up to four weeks but this should be customizable to say 6 mths.
The cal Ander works well. However I can't get any Do to sync right. It does nothing. I downloaded anyDo specifically for Cal, but nothing. ANY DO works good as a stand alone app, but makes sense to sync. Also wish you could have your own photo theme for Cal.
Never has a more beautiful app been so useless Every few months I check to see if there's a week overview... Still not Calendars are what I use to plan, while cal is awesome in almost every sense, you can't plan anything with it, you can't see what your week looks like, can't quickly spot free time if you need to fit something in or move stuff around. It's such an oversight IMHO it's like building a dream car without a steering wheel.
Looks nice Looks nice but not coherent with the rest of Android. The app doesn't seem to follow Material Design Framework so when you are use to most apps navigating the same, this feels awkward. That will only bother extra OCD people like me though.
Issues Love the app. However, it no longer syncs with Google Calendar. It's frustrating putting things in Google calendar, only to find it's not on Any Cal. Also the birthdays don't show up anymore, despite being signed up on Facebook. Even with the birthdays, the text was wonky. Please fix!
Best scheduler I've found Great calendar/scheduler that is intuitive and smart showing you only what you need to see in the moment. Really nice look&feel. Google integration is great.
Can't search, JOKE I can't believe you would put a calendar app out that you can't search in. Worthless. Too bad because interface was good. FAILED!
Great app but FC on mate 8 This is My default calendar app on previous hp. I was abke to install it when i switched to huawei mate 8. But will FC whenever I open it.
DONT INSTALL! I instaledl Cal looking for a better calendar app and found it to be the worst app I have ever installed. After it installed, I opened it and opened an event then it locked up. I lost any response from my nexus 7. I tried to reboot the device and it was stuck in a boot loop now it just shows a black screen with a Google logo. It will never start to boot. Hopefully I can fix this being an advanced user. Beware!!
A Must Have For Any Business Owner, or anyone really You have save the days literally thank you, keep up the good work
Wish the integration was better I love the concept here of combining any.do with a calendar/agenda app, I just wish they were integrated in a more functional way. For starters I'd love the ability to move tasks around (either by time or by day) natively inside Cal. Also, I'd like to have my tasks automatically arranged inside Cal in the same vertical order that I've set them up in any.do, and an option to turn off task times. I can't imagine that many people even use the set time option in any.do it's; too TIME consuming!
Great app Thanks to the Cal team. This is a cool, vibrant app. Sooper UI. Please take a relook at: 1. When we want to reschedule an agenda item, no. of key strokes is too much to reach the date and time 2. Can't see other calendars even after checking them
It's broken on android 6 My HTC has just been upgraded to android 6 and this app does not work. Please sort it out asap.
Ok I am impressed. I like the facebook intergration with birthdays excellent. It is super easy. I also say a full calander widget would be awesome.
Beautiful and intuitive design Allow you to open new events faster than the native calendar app, this alone make this app a MUST HAVE
Favorite App This is a must have app for all of my devices. Couldn't live without it!
Awesome Use it at work for timely deliverys works great!
Best calendar ever It combines everything at your fingertips, it integrates all of your appointments in one place Facebook events, Google Calendar etc.
Doesn't work on android 6? It keeps crashing if I want to change the page or open specific page.
Well i have connected it with Facebook but still it doesn't show any birthdays from there?
It's just a calendar - an event manager I need something that i can use to manage tasks/to-dos, as well. I am looking for something to remind me that I need to drop off the recycling, stop by the tax lady's office, and hit the grocery store for milk. It's not practical to carve a specific block of time out for these things. I just need to remember to do them - at some point. I will be re-posting this same review on a number of time-management apps.
So easy and so useful The easiest calendar app I've used. Integration with navigation software is real time saver!
Awesome My only suggestion would be more widgets. A full calendar widget would be awesome
Pretty but lacking 1. How can one adjust text size of event titles? 2. How can one view all forthcoming events in continuous Agenda view like other apps?
Great app and best UI I love this app UI design. It's make me to use it frequently. Thanks..
Its not working in my device cal is not working properly in my device. When i try to add any event in cal , it stopped working every time. Please rectify this bug. My Mobile is HTC desire 526 G+. I already install any.do app.
Used Love any do and cal. Should better include attachment function (eg. photo). But after I upgrade the app, the function of linking Facebook birthday is no longer available. So disappointed.
I really like it but... My phone slows to a crawl sometimes. I installed an app (clean master) to work out why... that app tells me all the time that cal and any.do are the problem. They are restarting hundreds of times and chewing up my phone resources. Not sure why, but it's got me ready to uninstall them. Any thoughts from developers?
Beautiful and useable but resource hungry I love the UI and the integration with Any.do but I'm uninstalling both as they use up way too much CPU even when idle (and when I've just closed them!).
When wanting to make a recurring event it does not give me the option for an end date. I don't want to set an event to be forever. Not letting me add location says no suggestions found
Wheel invented Simple things are the best, it is useful to redesign classic tools. For repeating a action there is missing possibility set how many times it should repeat or the deadline and I will admire to copy event (when you have similar event itcsave time)
Stopped working! Omg guys, this app is my life and it's not working on my phone anymore. Please fix it D:
Works great for me I've tried them all and I think it boils down to preference. Google calendar, sunrise, etc are all good but I just like this overall. Like any do integration too. Have had no issues yet either.
Nice app, inefficient though. Like the app, looks nice, plays nice, but owns my battery for some reason. Unfortunately not worth 30% of my battery usage so being uninstalled.
I like how it looks but no more.. I recently changed my phone and guess what? All my important days I kept on Cal are all gone.. accept a few ones I synced with Google.
Doesn't sync repeated events For some reason, weekly repeated items do not sync and I can't see it in my exchange.
Awesome ! Great app. Very useful. There's a bug I found.. After setting a event location in Cal when you tap navigate, the venue details is not properly sent to Google maps.
Great App Awesome app. Only things I wish it would improve on is widget customization. Rounded or squared corners, Transparency, Font type etc. Other then the lack of customization and dedicated Windows app any.do is amazing.. Probably more so if you are an apple user.
Write option to Google calendar Correctly Cal has read only mode for Google calendar. So changes here don't reflect to Google calendar
Almost perfect Gorgeous and useful, the best I've seen on Android. But background photos are distracting and often pixelated which is a shame considering the overall stunning visuals.
It's a really pretty app, but lacks productivity. There are some glitches and some really nice features, but has some lag issues and some really weird glitches.
High privacy risk! This app leaks my email address and my device's unique identifier to some servers our there. The data could be used to track my behavior across other apps I use. I don't like it, and I think about uninstalling this app... Otherwise, it's pretty nice. 2-26-16 i also noticed that the location on the map in meeting notifications is inaccurate. It shows my meeting is happening in Japan, when in fact it's in Canada. Way off!
After some update, a good battery drainer revealed to be I really love this app but I must unistall it because it drains my battery a lot.
NEEDS ONE HUGE IMPROVEMENT Unlike the standard calendar it doesn't have the option to repeat an event on a certain day of the week instead of the actual date. So if there's an event that occurs every 2nd Monday of the month, I can't put that event in my calendar. Fix this and I'll give 5 stars!
Nice cal. But misses features I love its simplicity and the wonderful design its clear and have a nice way to input thing , but our life needs more than a reminder, for me,i need to organize my time, i hope in the future you will add some features supporting this matter.
Invites to participants I get a notification that invites were sent, but participants never receive them. What's going on?
Could be great But it's still pretty glitchy. In the two weeks I've used it I have had to uninstall and reinstall 3 times.
Nice ui but poor functionality It does not notify me anytime I set it... 30minutes before or even on time...
Great app Never had an issue and have used it for years however as my life goes on my needs have changed. The function I am looking for in an app is color coding for my children's events which Any.do doesn't have.
Pretty close... Great UI, very smooth, missing a few things I think. For instance, if you look at the month view there should be a visual indication on each day something is scheduledas a heads up. With a little more customization and simple features this app will be top shelf.
?? WOW!! Just installed Cal it is so easy to use & has everything i need in a calendar. I would like to see an option added that would enable user to mark items that are completed or done. ?
Doesn't work with Outlook? Title includes Exchange, but doesn't appear to work with Outlook calendars.
Does not work - Samsung S7. When I start the program, it says it unfortunately stopped. I reloaded with the same results. Samsung Galaxy S7, Version 6.0.1
Excellent This is so useful and customer friendly as well. I am happy using it.
Color coded What happened to the ability to change colors? I like my calendars color coded.
Photos Nice app but would be even nicer if it could randomize pics from the phone...
Shiny, but lacks depth. The app is fine. But it seems like the devs spent more time trying to make the pretty interface, than was spent too flesh out the programming of features. Every entry is an appointment; reminders, birthday's, lists etc cannot be added. Limited options for when to notify, how often to repeat and for theming (yay, red)
Fantastic!! Best Android app for calendar. The best usability forever.
LOVED IT Useful combination between user friendly & business orientation. Thanks
Good app Works well on the phone, not so good on the tablet, which is where I'd like to use it. Needs dark theme as it is difficult read with everything light (low contrast).
heads up system broken Keeps displaying design appointment with Ran after clicking on the heads up notification. I want to see the event that I created not some template that's built into the calendar.
I love Cal Great pics, easy to use, and automatically syncs with my Google calendar and To Do list apps.
Seems nice so far Expected to see National holidays?
Simple & beautiful I love this app. Animations, background images, its simplicity...everything. I removed my other calendar apps as soon as I installed Cal. Just one thing...The widget shows a wrong day in its header and it wont change over time. Also plz add more themes to the widget. Like different colors or transparecy element. And thanks for keeping it free!
Great app. Visually appealing. Won't let me change my attendance response after selecting. Also, on some events I'm invited to I cannot copy test from event info (like an address from the notes section) - I receive an error message "This is a read only event and cannot be edited" Allowing me to change my response and copy text would change my review to 5 stars.
Giving 2 stars to a Former Fav app, why? I've used Any.do multiple times before. Nothing to complain about, we just never "worked out", and now I know why. It's been awhile Any.do, since I last deleted you. I thought we could give it another go. I even bought a subscription to show you I was ready to commit. But, there you go breaking my phone again. Everything was going great with your task manager, but the Cal app wants nothing to do with me and crashes instantly. I'm sorry, Any.do, it's you, not me. ? ..... Uninstalling.
WARNING Images in background are ugly as F... Do something dev to disable background images and replace by color or own image folder FAST ? uninstalling this crap. Bored! Booored with those same images ??
Meh.... I don't really need a picture of a car or horse or whatever else there is in my calendar since I passed 16 a while ago. I was looking for an app to replace Sunrise since Microsoft ate it and this ain't it. And the "Uber" option WTF??? They are a rotten company
I'm impressed Easy to use weekly calendar, beautiful design simple with a wall paper background to add a little life to it. Syncs with the any do. To do app. It was recommended by a stranger that over heard me say "I keep forgetting things at the store and end up having to go back more because of it." life can get overwhelming and it's just nice to have a little something to remind you. They work wonderful together.
Essential Scheduling Tool ... the ability to view multiple calendars from various operating systems in one location / app over multiple devices is extremely useful in order to stay on task, maintain visibility on key requirements, promises and appointments. Very easy to use and maintain... one of the best systems to stay organized and on task/track we have used....
Great replacement for Sunrise I've been using sunrise as my calendar for years and now that it is no longer supported, ive had to move to a new app. This one combines minimalism and practically in an excellent way. It would get 5 stars if it had a night mode (I hate the bright white background)
5 stars if..... Simple and best calendar app. Only flaw is widget is not customisable. Await an early update with it for 5 stars.
Please add custom repeat I really need the ability to choose exactly what days of the week something will repeat on. Daily and weekly are not enough. I am currently resorting to making duplicate items on different days of the week and setting them to repeat weekly. It works but is tedious. A simple days of the week repeat option would be much appreciated. Thanks!!
Widget doesn't update and recurring events shown multiple times on single day Widget doesn't update since last phone update. I need to remove and put it back on my home screen for the widget to update to today's date to show current events. Not sure how it syncs recurring events, but it displays a single event multiple times on the same day. I've sent bug reports without any response.
Intrusive and advertisment Keeps bugging me to use the apps and fill my to do list... Makes noises similar to text alert and continually goes off. I wish the app had an easy way to turn off those features
This is my favorite calendar app by far. I especially love the pull down feature to see the entire month with one swipe.
Crashing Issue! I've installed this app so many times now but it keeps crashing. I have android 6 and I never faced crashing problem in my phone. So, please fix this.
The best calendar app Cal has a great layout. I love the picture backgrounds and the week view option. It runs so smoothly. I've tried to move to other calendar apps and I keep coming back to this one. It's everything I need. The only issue I have is after adding an event if I use the app's arrow to go back out it exits the app. And sometimes the date tweaks; I'll try to add an event on Friday and it moves itself to Saturday. These are only minor inconveniences and wont make me stop using it.
Best Replacement for Sunrise I've Found I'll miss sunrise calendar for sure but this seems a decent replacement. Minimal. Intuitive. Easy set up. Free. No dedicated browser version like sunrise had but I guess I can get used to using google calendar on my pc. Or I see they offer a browser extension if I switch to Chrome. For me this beats the other apps I tried: google cal, cloudcal, and Business Calendar.
Liked it at first. Good looking app with neat features but after using it for a while I uninstalled it because it had 2 deal-breaking issues: 1. If a read-only event has a location or phone number, you can't tap the location to view the map or tap the phone number to dial the number. That's basic functionality that exists in Google Calendar, Sunrise and Today Calendar. 2. Dismissed event notifications keep coming back. Many times I would dismiss an event notification only to have it pop up again and again. If they could fix those two issue I would likely start using this app again.
Pretty, yes. Actually usable, No! One look at the screen where you add an event and I was like...uninstall this crap! Pronto! Why the hell is the spinners so tiny on that screen? The rest of the screen is taken over by a pretty photo. Hello? Heard about usability? Anyone? Bueller? Uninstalled! And oh, absolutely no integration with Android wear, watch.
Nicely designed but invasive! Nice and simple, great design but please please PLEASE stop this trend of apps that email contacts without express permission! If you add participants to a calendar event it automatically emails them invitations to download the app and RSVP to the event with absolutely no confirmation, it only tells you it has sent notifications after it has sent them! It even sends emails out when you remove people from events, doubling the damage! As far as I can tell there are no options to prevent this, please add this!
It's a glitchy app, and lacks productivity and efficiency. When I pressed "Connect To Calendar" on Any.do, it links new to this glitchy app with lag issues and untouched bugs. This app hasn't been updated since January. The only reason I'm being as harsh as I am is because I pay monthly for my Any.do subscription and being not an avid Exchange and Google Calendar user. I want to be able to link directly with those accounts. Not have to go through this abandoned application with nothing to offer the user besides aesthetics and crash logs.
Too invasive Nice app, but I just understand why developers think we like choice being taken away. You can't remove the reminder from your notification bar, amongst other things they force upon you. Sorry Cal you must be uninstalled
GARBAGE! This might be the worst calendar I have ever seen for MS Exchange. If you're on Outlook Exchange user DO NOT use this a calendar-- just simply garbage! Absolutely no support for multiple Exchange calendars.
Doesn't update change in reminder in Google cal If there's any change in Google calendar invite which u have accepted it doesn't show that. It will still show old entries and give painful meaningless updates of it
Can't add multiple accounts No comparison to Sunrise app. Really limited settings. Doesn't allow you to add multiple accounts so useless to me. The images don't link to your own photos so they're nice but impersonal. If you're looking for a basic calendar it's ok but not for me.
Don't work on miui The app go to background about 1 second after I have open it... And when I open it again, the app work 1 second and go back to the background, again and again... Only the first time I open the app after a reboot, Cal work fine, but if I close the app, problems start again! Also, the widget don't work too... Unusable...
Form over function It's hard to explain but the links from other widgets don't work on this app. If you click insert appointment on a Wednesday on another app; when it loads your default calendar app (cal in this instance), the date and time of the insert will have been reset to the today. It's the only calendar app I have that does this but it causes a lot of mistakes. Uninstalled until fixed.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but event alerts cannot be dismissed for me. I can remove the notification but the sound that it makes repeats endlessly and I've found I either have to click the notification to open the app and then force it closed via the app manager or put the whole phone on vibrate and then increase the volume again later. This is beyond annoying in public spaces. Otherwise a good stab at a calendar app. Integration with Google Calendar has been seamless.
Nice app There is a problem with this app. when a reminder is added to this app it very well shows in notification area but if the work is not completed or the task is not completed, after sometime the notification will automatically be removed from notification area. it would have been really good if the task which are not completed, could have been transferred automatically to next day.
Great UI Very easy to use with fluid animation. Although it might not be as full of features as SolCalender, it is useful being synced with my Any.do account. However, my events will sometimes disappear when I change the time.
I just lost all my notes I loved this app, but now it is ridiculous. I'd logged in, created reminders and somehow got logged out. I log back in, my reminders have all been wiped out. Just what I needed. Forget buying the premium one, I'm uninstalling the free version unless you guys have a fix.
What Exchange? The app title says “Google-Exchange”. Yet it cannot integrate directly with Exchange. It can only use calendars already known to the Google Calendar app. I use MS Outlook for Android due to frequent sync issues with the Google Calendar app. I was hoping this could display both my personal and work calendars in one place. Alas it does not. Please change name or clarify that it does not itself directly integrate with Exchange.
No option to set custom sound reminder So meany people write this in comments, yet, it still not there!! Too bad.. Can't give 5 star..
The idea is good The idea of integrating any.do with a calendar is great though this hasn't been executed properly. My biggest issues (which are app breaking) are the inability to customize repeating tasks properly and the fact that Google calendar is read only. If the app had full customization of events I would be able to use this app as my primary calendar app however because I need to go to Google calendar to edit my schedule so that it properly syncs it makes this entire app redundant.
Won't even start on Nexus 6p Not given a chance to see how this works as it crashes repeatedly after installation on a new Nexus 6p. Now uninstalled.
Crashing Just downloaded Cal to sync Any.do tasks with Google calendar. App won't open... "unfortunately, Cal had stopped"
Nice but does not work After installing the app crashes when you try to open. I am using android 6.0 on a xiaomi my Max. Try uninstall and install again but no luck. Needs urgent update
Would give it 6 stars if I could. With a truly intuitive, quick, and gorgeous U.I., Cal redifines what it means to have a calendar. It exhibits all the features and functions that one would expect from a genuine Android experience. I would go so far to say that this is the best calendar app there is and it should come stock with all androids along with its sister app Any.do (don't even get me started on that)
Gorgeous app, but needs improvements This app is beautiful. Period. I wish there are more selection of widgets like one that displays one month's calendar + customization of the widget if possible. Another thing is I wish that we can use our own photos as "photo themes"? (just my opinion tho). Hopefully this app will be better with future updates! :)
