This app uses purely the SSM protocol to gather data, which is faster and more comprehensive than the more common ELM327-based solutions. Separate adapter required - see below.

Currently supports the Subaru models below. Please visit http://www.btssm.com for latest info to see if your vehicle is supported.

05-09 Legacy / Liberty GT (LGT), 02-14 WRX, 04-14 STi, 04-09 Forester XT (FXT), 05-09 Outback XT (OBXT)

Designed for proprietary BtSsm Bluetooth adapter that plugs into your car's OBD2 port. Please visit http://www.btssm.com for more info/purchase.

Alternately, a wired approach may be used with a user-supplied VAG-COM/KKL cable or Tactrix OP 2.0 cable. Either wired solution will require an inexpensive OTG/USB adapter for your Android device.

This app will allow you to use your phone/tablet to view data from your car's ECU
- Shows realtime data with gauges
- Records log files
- Graphs log files
- Shows dyno chart estimation with horsepower and torque plots
- Displays Learned Values
- Captures data snapshot if knock event occurs
- Supports user-defined alerts
- Supports custom fields
- Captures elapsed time for 0-60mph and 0-100kmh
- Shows trouble codes
- and more!

Whats new

-when setting "lock display objects" is enabled, tapping a gauge will now properly reset min/max and red alert status
-bug fix where reset min/max by tapping gauge wasn't working
-fixed bug on a few phones where pressing Logs without any log files would cause crash
    -added definition

BtSsm part of our Maps & Navigation and have average installs from 500 to 1000. Last Update Nov. 20, 2016. Google play rating is 97.5. Current verison is 1.7.0. Actual size 1.4 MB.

Supports my JDM legacy gt, which I couldn't get working with torque!

Alex Yonetani

Great product, REALLY perfect for 16bit ECUs Great for all kinds of subarus for logging, especially knock correction and IAM which isnt available on other apps. 16bit ECUs also get real time monitoring, instead of delay like with Torque, which is a great app too, but very limited to what it can access on the ECU.

Ro Kay

Great product So much cheaper and easier than wiring gauge pods if youre running a stock ecu. Product support is also 5 star.

Wael Elaish

Awesome App for Subaru owners Support is super as well. My cable was not supported and the developer provided support in no time. The data refesh is very fast as well. Please buy you won't get disappointed.

Dan Hagey

Buy this!!! The developer will email you thanking you first off. Then going the extra mile in asking you to report any glitches or abnormalities that may come up. He's looking out for "us" and making sure he gives "us" a superior product. Just awesome!!!

Joshua Crosbie

Great App! Awesome application from an awesome developer. Does exactly what the description says in a accurate and clean manner. Great integration with demister switch logging, A must have for all Subaru owners.

Gunnar Magnuson

Great way to monitor the car. Nice job heiche

Ben Richards

Love btSsm This app just keeps improving :)

Jean-Christophe Dufour

Great app A fuel economy(l/100km) would be great and also a way to put log in second instead of mili-second would be perfect

Andrei Tudor

Great app for Car tablet, Using it with Tactrix OpenPort 2 for logging and display

Dan Telcean

Works perfectly with my 2005 fxt via vagcom kkl usb adapter. A must for every subaru enthusiast. Great job. Thanks.

Alex Sundine

Great for on the go trouble shooting I don't run it constantly because it makes me paranoid but it's perfect for quickly checking out a code or to just check on the car's health. Running through a Tactrix 2.0 in an 05 LGT.

Mitchell Buchler

Pretty expensive. But worth it kinda Cool so far. Happy with the functionality, but when I try to adjust music volume within the app android defaults to control my alarm volume because this app produces sounds. There should be a way to disable this so when I press volume it adjusts my music instead of alarm/ringer

James Schooze

Good stuff, excellent developer response for any issues. Paired with Bluetooth OBDLink MX, working out all the kinks to get it logging 2016 WRX, new ECU for OBDLink, but developer will figure it out no doubt.

Adam Bain

Excellent The app is brilliant, and the developer support has been phenomenal. I'm logging a 2012 Forester NA using tactrix on OTG, and also a ODBLink MX. Works great, looks great, and the UI is intuitive.

fast with Tactrix USB on 04 WRX the popular apps that use the ELM327 bluetooth adapters are so laggy I had almost given up hope for running live data on a phone or tablet. but, using this BTSSM app with my Tactrix 2.0 adapter over USB to my Galaxy S5 (rooted, if it matters, Android 4.4.4) works great on my WRX. can't make it work on my 2000 Impreza RS, and haven't tried it on the BRZ yet. but so far, this is exciting that it's so fast for live data. A+ thanks for developing this !

One of the best apps that I have ever use

Andrew Barnett

Awesome, couldn't be better, perfect... got the idea? This app can do everything imaginable aside from reflashing your ECU. It's perfect for data logging without a laptop. Support and customer service are second to none! If you consider yourself a "Subaru enthusiast" there's no question that you need this app. It you're into opensource tuning, use this app and a Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 (or a vag-com cable). Not once have I regretted choosing this app instead of spending $400+ on a Cobb AccessPort. Even if you don't want to tune your car BtSsm is a no-brainer.

Spiro Rigas

For Data logging I'm not sure if the information would be as precise as a newer android device. I have an S6. Btssm doesn't miss a milibeat. (If there's such a thing). Great product thank you.

Oleg Grigorev

Very nice devloper Very nice app and the best service I never had

Adam Khan

Works great and lots of support

Brian Fidalgo II

Customer service is Worth price of app Bought the app, it couldn't find my ECUID.....emailed developer. Responded within 6 hours with a fix. Everything works now. Would love on the fly maps and flashing but it's nice to want. ;-)

Ed Rod

Exactly what I wanted. I love everything about the app. I would love if it had ecu flashing capabilities but I know that would be a difficult task. But over all good app.

Alex Konstantinov

Awesome! Brilliant application for Subaru enthusiasts with Android phone.

Bruce Avedikian

Brilliant The app is so wonderful and the dev is da man! He works to fix issues quickly and is friendly. His willingness to modify the app to add or adjust features is outstanding. It would be nice if very expensive products had this level of support and detail. I've not had an issues with the bluetooth adapter with my Note 3 or Note 5. A few tiny issues were resolved or helped me to see where I had made an error. The sizing of the gauges is great touch as well...the boost gauge is huge on my Nav screen.

Bryce Stammerjohan

Awesome app So addicting. Developer is super helpful. Just needs Rom flashing & it'll be perfect.

Cata Barbu

Awesome There are no words anymore.... Flashing will be nice, but except that, there is nothing else I need for this app.... Maybe some gold lines around the gauges...lol..... Again, super happy... Keep it up, kill the Cobb...

Cameron Chunn

Great Only feature I would add would be if it could somehow interface to Torque for the gauge display. I love how fast it is with the SSM protocol but I'd love to be able to use torque for the display in my in-dash install.

Razvan Matei

Best Subaru android app Lacks code reading for pre obd2 Europe models(only ssm2). It reads errors on a lot of sensors that arnt there. Other than that its a great app.

Robert Iain Midgley

Great app. Works on Jdm F-STi, w/ USB k-line. Would like a fuel consumption widget or the ability to utilise multiple PIDs in a custom field, such that I can make one.

Ryan Forrester

Amazing app must have for subies Absolutely love this app. Wasnt sure if it was going to work with my jdm ecu so i emailed the question and got a response back immediately. Using an openport 2.0 hooked to an android double din and it works perfectly.

Сергей Атанасов

So far this app deserved 5 stars! I think that good surprises are still ahead of us, the happy customers. Three ideas for unique features, which are MUST for app like this: 1. A way to parse/convert custom logging parameters from xml files from other well known ssm logger apps like romraider to BtSsm format. 2. online profile with ability to make changes in custom logging fields and arrangement of BtSsm "dashboard". 3.Torque-like feature for online map and log visualization. Keep up the good work!

Adam Orpin

Had a few teething issues, unrecognised ecuid etc. Dev team reply is really fast, got my issues sorted, couldnt be happier.

Dominik Owsinski

Great App for my Subaru Very helpful, user friendly. Best app on the market.

Brooks Ellis

Awesome for turbo subaru Worth the $ to be able to simply log and view most of the parameters that a turbo subaru owner would want.
