Welcome (back) to the 1980's!

Bitzah allows you to see the world through the eyes of your favourite retro computers and video-game consoles, including the NES, Commodore 64 and the ZX Spectrum.

Featuring a live pixel-camera, you can take still images (lossless PNG), 9-frame ping-pong and 16-frame looping GIFs, to make all kinds of unique pixel art.

You can also convert your existing images!

* LIVE Pixel-Cam! Wander in an 8-bit world.
* Several classic 8-bit pixel filter stylings including C64, VIC20, Atari 2600, Tandy, GameBoy and more.
* Capture still images or record one of two animated GIF stylings.
* Save to gallery or share with your friends.
* "Share" to Bitzah from inside your phone's Gallery to convert your existing photos.
* Choose destination media (ie external sdcard or internal storage, etc.)

Bitzah starts in camera mode.
SWIPE left and right to change pixel styling.
TAP (or shutter button) to take a still image.
TAP and HOLD for a moment to shoot a Ping Pong GIF.
TAP and HOLD much longer to capture a Long Loop GIF.

Now that you've captured your image(s):
SWIPE left and right to change pixel stylings (if desired.)
TAP to bring up the Save / Share menu. Share your Bitzah with your friends!
PRESS the BACK key to discard the image(s) and return to the camera.

To use a photo from your phone's Gallery / Album application, open a photo, then press the sharing icon, then select 'See All...' and choose Bitzah from the list. This feature doesn't currently work on all phones though.

Enjoy Bitzah!

Whats new

    - Stability fixes for Gingerbread
    - Ability to choose storage volume (menu key)
    - Shameless plug for our first game, "Junk Yard Tom: Arcade".
    Thanks for choosing Bitzah!

This is very cool! It would be awesome if it could take stop-motion gifs to (one frame at a time).

Benjamin Tremain

Bitzah I like this app. IMO Bitzah is best used in medium to close range camera shots that use on subjects that are interesting to look at and that are naturally full of colors.

Yurii Akulinin

great app but where does it save gifs? i cant find..

Elijah Clark

Could be more I think the app could implement more filters. Also, add a switch camera feature. Overall, a pretty good app.

ALMOST perfect ! Good Camera ! Just Missing 1 Big One: ZX-81 Spectrum. Black & White & half-shaded ### pixels. An ASCII picture conversion would be awesome too: because before real graphics Computers used ASCII Art.

Rizki Aji

Great app It's awesome pixel camera

Vee Key

Please fix I would rate 5stars but it now crashes whenever i try to save an image from gallery. It truly is a great app, hopefully gets updated soon.

Glen Richards

Fun app, room for more features Dithering would improve picture quality enormously, and following the hardware rules of the platforms would make it more authentic

Wilhelm Rahn

Awesomely retro Wish you could apply the effects to existing photos too. Also, the gameboy mode needs a subtle grid in between pixels for authenticity ;)

Yusuf Sadallah

keep crashing in my tablet

Oleg Pereverzev

Awesome Close to expectations, and smooth. You are a good person. Realtime mode and more C64 modes (like lowres multicolor and hires lowcolor) maybe?

Ali Robare

YYYAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY Best app ever!! I like calling it the, RETRO YOUR WORLD app :-)

Cody B

Needs to be completed Can't switch cameras, so no selfies. . Sound effects are annoying, need to be able to toggle them off. . Fix those issues and I'll give you a better rating

I can't rotate the camera to take a selfie... can't belive it...

Robyn Lyon

Fun filters This is a fun filter app for photos. They need more filters though.

Robert Peterman

Love NES and the Commodore 64 modes are sweet balls son.

Zackery Coffelt

It's ok It's boring

I love this. Seriously, this is the best one that there is. Thank you all for this.

John Taylor

Like the live camera Shame it started making a noise on start up and had to quickly turn down the volume.

Jackson Colling

Wow nice graphics! This game is so cool with all the different graphics! A masterpiece!
