Problem When a site goes down, the app just closes. I have found the only way around this problem is to de install the app and pick another site.
Usefull Painful interface, but by far the most convenient way to view the radar, and for that, well done.
Love this app but....... Brisbane (Staplyton) radar has been down for about 4 days now, and because the app just closes instead of allowing you to select an alternative radar, it has been unusable since. I know it will be up and running again once the radar is back on line, but the app needs fixing to allow an alternative selection. Please fix it and I'll rate higher!
Samsung Galaxy S3 Clean, neat, quick, best radar app I have found so far. Requested feature: add Weather Observations - temperature, wind direction and speed, maybe rainfall since 9AM
As Described Does everything I expected it to + No ads for free program = 5 stars.
Just started crashing. Was working fine but now crashes when trying to get data. :( hopefully a fix will be available soon. Just un installed and now working again. Go figure.
Ron Postlethwaite Is there a way to find the temperature on your Aussie Weather Radar? The Map is excellent but I would also like to know what is changing numbers at the bottom of the Map, it is 02:45-03:10 at time of reading, Thank you
Works well... Unless you forget to have the internet on which instantly makes the app unresponsive and rendering the phone useless for a while. It wouldnt take much to give you an option to turn it on intead of crashing.
Average Would be a great app if you didn't need to uninstall and reinstall when the radar site your using is down just to get the app to open so you can then get to the map of the different radars that are available to choose a new one. How about fixing this annoying defect. If you do I would actually re-rate your rather useful app some what better. Yep tried Mt Stayplton radar and I need to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work so it will stay uninstalled, would rate it no stars if I could
Very Useful I use this app all the time to check if clouds overhead are storm clouds or not... I have watched storm fronts move in and avoided many a rainy day
Needs to show MY location It shows radar well enough on my Galaxy Note, and makes a good companion to the weather forecast app I'm using, but the paid iPhone app I had (Oz Weather by OzPDA) also showed MY location on the map (as well as the forecast). I found the location indication very helpful. Unfortunately, they haven't made an Android version.
Excellent Concise and easy to use. A gracious designer to not include ads
Once great- what hapenned? Force close on note3 kit kat. Used this for years with no issues. When did this stop working?
Improvement The app would be more awesome if it gave a location apon the radar map of where the user is located via gps
Was great, now forces close Forces close on Rockhampton radar site, works on other sites. Not sure why. Uninstall and reinstall fixes issue until selecting the FC site again
Great App! Thank you. Any chance in a future release that the image could auto-update when a new image is available.
Good but.... UI can be enhanded, use on screen button instead of menu would seem more androidize..
Nice Good app. It would be great if it also showed my location on the map.
Aussie weather radar Was good at first now all it does is force close must fix this
Good but... Crashes with no data connection or if radar is offline otherwise works good.please fix next update!
Swift update to fix problems. Thanks for the quick update. The images are now cropped instead of stretched, but I can live with that.
Needs pinpoint position n updates. Great app. Easy to use and free. However it should pinpoint your relative position to the weather on the map. It'd be so handy for pilots! Also it's been missing one new radar in the NT ... wurriwi! Has started forcing close lately.... Seems like whoever designed this app hasn't bothered to update it!
Poor Stopped when first opened, then just had black screen with clouds. No map visible. Uninstalled.
Crashes when radar unavailable Good simple app when it works. For some reason when the bom radar is down, the app crashes. Surely it'd be better to just have a pop up saying radar feed is down.
Not what it used to be. Time is way out of whack. Radar loop is nowhere near accurate. Used to be a good app. Would gibe it zeroif I could.
Not pretty, but works Does what it says, and is fine if you don't often need to switch between different radars. Desperately needs a Refresh button to get the latest images.
A let down Too many crashes and force closures to think this is coded professionally. Bye
Truly Excellent app I love this app. When I'm out and about on my bicycle I can see where the rain is headed. I've used it for about a year, and it works very well. I recommend it to everyone in Australia.
works perfectly would like my current position shown on the map.
Great, until it broke. This app is brilliant, no other app offers the radar like this one.. However one day the map just broke and now my screen is black.. I have nothing to base where the rain is off of other than Sydney is about the middle of the screen... 4 or maybe 5 stars if this is fixed
Just wanted you to know that the app no longer works. I starts it up and it just errors and does shuts down. I have found away around it by doing a reinstall but im sick of doing this everytime. I have sent numerous feedback to the error but nothing is done.
Doesn't have a map Doesn't have a map, it shows the rain on a black background
zoom fixed app is great again. fc on no network, but so what, doesnt update without net anyhow.
It Was excellent until latest update, now force closes immediately
Doesnt work anymore Please fix this please
Issue Fc on startup ics on galaxy s
Not working Samsung galaxy note ics Was working great for a couple of weeks but now force closes all the time during connection to server.
Will not work Will not work on my Galaxy S3. It did for 2 minutes and then it would crash,
Not bad Pity cant use 64 km radar at gippsland.
Constantly Not Working When it Works it works but unfortunately it breaks and wont run more often than not... Reporting is useless as the developer seemingly ignores these Reports as its been out of operation now for 2 weeks. Uninstalling now for good. Shall use Higgins Storm Chasing instead.
Radar down time This is still the best app for just rainfall. Please stabilise the app so it allows choice of another radar if local is down. Plenty of radars overlap. A big no go shutdown doesn't reflect good tech.
Crashes on start up. Brisbane Mt Stapylton chosen, app just crashes on opening. No option to choose other site. Click settings/ apps and clear data to select different station. In the meantime, devs should fix the app to cope with these situations.
Station crashes Great app but it crashes if it can't access a station. The only way round this is to uninstall the app. Devs please sort this out this long running problem. It's a simple error checking loop that can't be too hard to add in.
Slow Even after a reboot and with this the only app open, its very sluggish to access the menu to change zoom levels. Otherwise, it's great. If you could streamline the zoom change it would be better
Plz fix Unusable for past few weeks. Black background with coloured rain markers so no idea on map where they r falling. Note 5 6.01
512km Sydney Works great now after last two updates, but why does the Sydney radar at 512km view go black? No biggy but it's been there a long time with no fix. Galaxy s 2
Fails to open constantly I have kept uninstalling and reinstalling for over a year now and just keeps happening.. Gone for good now because they never fix it
Galaxy S5 user Used on my So 4 star. Installed on my S5. Open crash. Open crash etc Uninstall.
Radars go black Radar images regularly go black. No refresh button, so images can be days out of date because the app has stayed open in the background.
Good but needs work I like how it is the simple bom radar. Don't need much else, except a gps dot for the user's exact location would be very helpful! Also force closes if the radar isn't working or if you have no net sync
Great App Would be better if app did not force close when radar information is not available from BoM (eg Newcastle radar information is, as at the time of review, unavailable and this appears to be causing the app to force close).
Crashed when I chose Perth. The main Pert radar is down, but there at least one other - Perth Airport. Since it crashes, there's no ability to choose another. Not useful.
User Works well, very useful. Only problem is it hangs when accessing a BOM radar that is offline and you can't use the app until the problem radar is back online.
Reinstall to change weather radar!!??!! Nice app if you never travel!! However, it would be great to be able to choose the Weather radars from different places. As of now I have to reinstall the app to choose another radar. I would give it full marks if this would be fixed
Freezes! This app used to be handy but now it wont even load! Hvent used it in weeks. Please fix!
Clean and simple. Does what it says, it's nice and clean and has a fast interface. Much quicker than the BOM bookmark I was using before. Would be great, if possible, to add the "rainfall overlay" that is available on the site. That would make it 5 stars for me!
Great app for Aus weather locations - but sorely missing GPS/locations This is an excellent weather app and perfectly replicates the info from BOM. However it absolutely needs the ability to insert a longitude/latitude or use the phone GPS to store home/office locations.
