While parents maintain visibility and control, kids of all ages (5 to 22) develop financial literacy through vital, firsthand experience with their own real money. Allowance Manager is how kids GET money (not just receive it, but actually understand it).

Set the system to automatically post an allowance entry to each kid's account each week. Then as exceptions arise (e.g. tasks completed, gifts received, purchases or donations made), quickly and easily add credit and debit entries as appropriate. When your family/kid is ready, add the AllowanceCard® (accepted everywhere VISA is accepted) to empower kids to make decisions at real world points of sale. Move money to an AllowanceCard in manageable amounts as needed. Transactions made with the AllowanceCard dovetail seamlessly and automatically into the accounts. With a simple glance at the app, know who has how much and why. Through this early, frequent firsthand experience with their own real money, kids simply become effortlessly financially literate.

Allowance Manager® • How kids GET money!™
Allowance Manager® • Experiential financial literacy!™
Allowance Manager® • We owe it to our kids!™

We parents want our kids to develop crucial life skills.
One such skill is understanding money.
Like any skill, it is best honed through firsthand experience.
Recognizing this, we introduce allowance.

Because our lives are busy, we neglect to follow through.
We forget when, how much, for what, etc.
This leaves our kids without the ability to practice.
Their only option is to ask us for money.
It also breeds mistrust.
There is a better way.

It automates the mundane and repetitive.
It makes it simple to handle only the exceptions.
As a result, everyone knows who has how much and why.
Kids get reliable, early, frequent, firsthand experience!
Understanding money quickly becomes second nature!
It is a safe, low-stakes learning environment.

Allowance Manager is how kids understand money.
You're raising a money-savvy adult.
Congratulations, you're an awesome parent!

Love allowance manager! This has been a life saver for me and my son, who tries to negotiate everything and has a lousy memory. The facts are all there on this app. Perfect solution to my problem.

Needs a lot of work! Design: absolutely horrible! Functionality: I would like to add/modify categories and ability to specify amounts for each. Security: I accidentally closed the app and when I reopened it, it prompted me to login again. Considering how everyone should use a randomly generated password, this app should use API and prompt me for a pin.

Love the concept. Excited to try it out. However there is a bug in the sign up page so I could not complete the sign up to try it! The greeting option tells you to select one but then choices do not drop down or show up & the sign up will not continue until you complete all fields. Sad. :(

Kirby Lester

Good concept, very poor execution We were excited to try this out. For a paid service with the debit cards the experience is extremely bad. The application does not need a ton of functionality to be useful, yet the little needed does not work properly. There must be a better app out there.

App doesn't work I loved the idea of this app but I can't even sign up. You need to improve asap. As soon as it works ill change my stars

Don't bother I ignored the other warnings and am having the same issue. Unable to sign up at all. There's a bug on the sign up page that doesn't allow you to select a greeting. When you submit you get an error for "incomplete data". Obviously by the other reviews here this has been an issue for some time. Fix it already. Or if you can't figure out how, at least make it am unrequired field. Is it really so important to know I'm a Mr.?

Jason Potter

Can be temperamental I'm not able to use the categories anymore.

Kristin Spurrier

Login Can't even sign up to try it. Must not be very good if they can't even mast the sign up page

olga orjuela

Can't create a login, great idea though.

Wendy Disch

Super easy to use and helpful once you get started!! So glad I found it!

Vincent Allen

Good concept Cannot get to the login screen

Kim B

Cant even setup an account This sucks, the dropdown for greeting does not work. How are you supposed to even get into the program.

Scott Selva

Can't get past sign up screen Like other reviewers, I can't get past the sign up screen. There's nothing to choose in the greeting field, but I can't continue without choosing something. Does. Not. Compute...

Just a shame it doesn't work I wanted an allowance tracker that crossed both android and iOS systems. Shame it doesn't work. You can't add transactions on android to the child's account. The button does nothing. :-(

Hoss Justice

Not a single problem Does and works exactly as intended.

Jacob Epstein

Child overcharged the card $1140 One of the cards used in my family was charged with $1140 worth of charges over 3 days by family member who had $284 on the card. The card went into negative balance. The whole point of this system is so this won't happen. After the first year charge is up we are switching to a different system

Works well This app works extremely well, and I love the AllowanceCard functionality. It is working on iPhones and Androids for me and my family members. The staff have been very helpful and have worked with our specific situation (6 kids) and even gave us a discount. Great idea, great app. Five stars.
