Alkaline & Acidic Grocery List

Posted by LISIERE MEDIA LLC in Health & Fitness | May 18, 2013 | 4 Comments

Apk file size: 9.4 MB

This easy to use, customizable, and annotated grocery list identifies the majority of common alkaline (meaning: alkalinizing) as well as acidic (acidifying) foods.

- This list is intended as a grocery shopping aid, and reflects the best consensus we could derive as to which foods are alkaline as opposed to acidic -- considering that not all sources and authors are in agreement on every item.

- To modify the list, just do a 'long press' on any category or food item.

Whats new

Know your stuff I purchased this app hoping it would be a good shopping guide. It isn't. There is no distinction between highly alkaline, moderately alkaline, or mildly alkaline. Likewise for acidic. There are also errors in the food lists. For instance, white potatoes are listed in the alkaline foods. Another example is tomatoes. Only RAW tomatoes are alkaline in the body. Cooked tomatoes (as in pasta sauce, tomato soup, pizza topping) is highly acidic to your system and should be avoided, yet tomato sauce/paste is listed as alkaline under spices and condiments. If you have been following an acid/alkaline diet for some time, you will know these things. But for the novice, this app is VERY misleading. There are better apps out there for alkaline/acidic foods, and they are free, although the $1.99 price for this app was never an issue for me. I would pay more for an app that provided good information. This one falls short.
