Unfortunately, the sensors (both new&old style) don't work with the latest android version.
Works well. Able to have multiple users. Easy to share with friends. $5 for additional report analysis on expedited basis or $2 for normal turnaround. Not mandatory. Highly recommended.
Peace of mind- Brugada I use it for a Brugada Syndrome and it gives me peace of mind that it will tell me if I'm in potential arrythmia at anytime day or night
My VA cardiologist thinks it a toy. My VA heart Dr. has zero interest in the results from Alivecor. He thinks it a toy. I personaly like the device but as far as the VA doctors go it is of little to no value. With my VA cardiologist unwilling to even look at the Alivecor results that defeats the purpose of the app.
Getting better. Tracings are ok. Some unknown artifacts appear randomly, but ignoring those spots. Usually only last less than 2 seconds.
Best Portable ECG Device costs $80. Best bang for the buck. Has I'd AFIB 100% of the time. GET IT.
A very useful tool particularly for those with heart arrhythmias
Updated and it erased my on device history
Not ready for prime time No problems setting up on Samsung Galaxy S3 ... but even after receiving evaluation of initial ECG, the app is stuck on the wait screen. It won't even return to the home screen, much less offer the history page or any opportunity to record another ECG. So, the app has rendered the $75 heart monitor useless for the time being.
PIECE OF CRAP!!!! I agreed to the Terms of Service, the next screen required an Email address and password which I entered. Instructions are to place hands on "Metal Plates" . WHAT METAL PLATES? metal Plates do not exist on my Samsung. and it would not read my ECG. Could not use the Freaking app; removed it ! FU AliveECG!! Just went to the company website d to have my registration removed and MORE personal information was required just to email.
Fabulous!!! An idea whose time has come. Now we can have real EKG done with our phones. Easy to setup. After the initial 24 hours of wait (cannot be used during this period) where a cardiologist checks the first EKG (I guess quality control), then the device (3rd gen) and software work like a charm. Software settings are easy to find. The closer the plate is to the phone the cleaner the tracing. The library of recorded tracings is easy accessible. You can play with it by creating your own leads.
Explains nothing Didn't tell me how to use it, what I needed to use it. Cheap way to get personal details. So I need to buy something to go on the back of my phone??? I wouldn't know because I'm not a mind reader.
New setup Tells me i can find my ecg in history. But there is no history button. Very poor tutorial. Shows lots of screens in video none of which are available on mine. May be because there is a 24hr button, but i already was emailed my first result. Poor. Found the manual not really helpful. Mine app locked up too after first test, mote than 24 hrs later. Should give action to take on the screen.
Very useful Outstanding device and app!
Always at the palm of my hands What a great little devise. I go into runs of vtach with premature ventricular beats. Now it is easy to see if I am in danger or need to go to the ER. Now I can track and save my ekgs. It's easier than the implanted recorder I have. This Way I Can See AND Not Wait For The Doctor To Show Me.
Records fine, can't send for review! The app is really solid and records well, but a recent update /completely broke/ the "ECG analysis" screen. No matter my connectivity or attempts to refresh, that screen is now totally blank on my device. I'm on a Moto X.
Fab device and app Really helpful in thinking about monitoring ECG in double quick time. Can export ECG as PDF via email or Bluetooth. Perhaps needs api to tf directly to EHR or similar. Congrats Dr Dave and team.
Amazingly good and clear readings. I use the knee position as I am not able to get great signal off my finger tips on any device, but I think that's just my funky wiring. I recommend trying this for users having trouble getting a good reading using the two hand method.
Wow - works great I write Android applications and can say that this is one of the best written Android apps I've used. I also suffer from Atrial Fibrillation and use this great tool to monitor my disease and help me communicate with my physicians. I would have no hesitation recommending the device and this corresponding application to anyone who would like to monitor their heart irregularities.
Very pleased I have it working with my wife's iphone and ipad and my ASUS Android tablet. For the latter I attach a separate microphone which works just fine.
DHRUV ECG Vow too easy.also i hv become like a dr
I get arythmias. This will allow me to be proactive. It's incredible the image I obtain.
My little device This is unbelievable. Its Amazing
Works really well Easy to use and very accurate. Looking forward to the atril fib update
Very good app I only says about this is....amazing.....
Awesome Two loop monitors and a holter monitor failed to capture my sporadic arrhythmia. The portability of this, combined with the fact that I always have my cell phone on me, makes this ideal. Within 2 weeks I had captured several instances for my cardiologist.
uninstall is this only for iphone？it doesn't work on my galaxy s3.
Good not great The second edition of the monitor gave me a better reading than the third edition, which is (probably) more sensitive or has a worse filter. The trace is barely readable with the latest one. Which is a shame because it is a more appealing devise.
Need to specify which Android handsets this app is compatible with. Does not seem to work with Samsaung phones which are a popular handset.
Let me try this
Now, this is the future! Brilliant product and application. I use this with Galaxy S6 and the latest thin pads. I used for 6 weeks and cannot fault it. It is simple to use and gets you extra level of confidence. The latest update of the app also looks real good and easy to use. Can't believe you can get cardio product like this so cheaply these days. Just check the battery life of the pads.
Great app and Device App was consistently able to detect known afib. Easy to setup and use. Well worth it.
Not working I used on samsung galaxy s5 , doesn't work at all
Does not work with HTC One M9 As the title says, the sensors do not work with the HTC One M9. Thought my sensor battery was dead, but replaced it and still not working. I contacted the company directly and they told me there are no plans to add the flagship phone from HTC to their compatibility list. Extremely disappointed. This company also does not routinely monitor the Google Play store.
WILL NOT WORK ON SAMSUNG GALAXY S6 Android 5.1.1. Called customer support, no plans to update. DO NOT SUPPORT THESE LUDITTES! THREW AWAY $200!
looks great! I love the quick interpretation feature & grats to getting it fda supported! Altho would like to see an extra adapter for 3-12 lead ecg heart rating someday, works w/funciona con android version 4.4. awesome app
Love the new app This works brilliantly on my S4 Active with a custom ROM. The new changes to the app makes it so much better.
Magic Very good for monitoring my Afib
No compatible con android
No more beat fluctuation reading! I really like this app, but with the most recent update it no longer gives you the BFx reading. I felt this was a very valuable reading. Still wish they would allow a longer recording with the ability to save only a 30 second sample of that reading.
Too Slow When i first tried this, I was very impressed. Of course my initial reading was normal. However, I spoke too soon. By the time you open the app, apply your finger pads to the metal device behind the phone, it can take over a whole minute to capture your cardiac rhythm. It has not captured an abnormal run yet. I emailed the app company about this and never heard back. PS my fingers are clean, no lotion or powder, and I keep the metal clean, app always up to date. Great idea, far too slow response.
Was fantastic I gave this a glowing review, initially, but since the most recent update, it refuses to record and trace without the application of serious pressure (if at all), meaning artifact masks anything readable.
Last update broke it It no longer records or displays Bfx.
Something broke....again! Since last update, it's acting weird. Starts to take EKG but dumps out after a few seconds. Tries restarting...dumps again...and again. Very disappointing.
Need better service for non U.S. residents Interpretation is very limited. Its effectively useless if you're not american with access to a cardiologist who will interpret your ecg. The APP should be doing more on its own without a third party getting involved.
Cool app and device Unlike some reviewers claim, you can see your own ecg and share it with your own doctor by email.
Unable to install apo
Beware, you can't see your own EKG AVOID doing business with this company! Get the app & purchase the EKG device, BUT the company will not let you see your own tracing without sending it to a cardiologist PLUS the company will not respond email questions about the charges you can expect.
Better than nothing. This app worked well when first released. Not sure how dependable it is now with the updates. I get either unclassified or unreadable most of the time. Galaxy Note 3
Fantastic Product Intuitive interface. Allows easy entry to record symptoms and any special comments. An "Insights'' tab interprets "Normal" vs. "Possible Afib" results immediately for free, in graphic form 7 days at a time. Log in online to view 30 days of results to easily see trends. By-the-way, I have only wanted to contact them twice and both times a person by the name of Alison responded immediately. I rate my experience with their support as top notch. It's been both fast and effectve. My device is a Galaxy Note 4.
Works great with nexus 5x
Not worth the postage or the phone call Doesn't work at all, no customer service response. Sending it back after waiting years to get one.
Works great with Galaxy S6 edge plus The first time you use it it won't show you anything until the strip is sent to a cardiologist for a reading. This is free and a part of the fda requirements. Then it is unlocked and you can use it freely. Detects a-fib automatically but you can tell more if you can read ecgs or pay a nominal fee to send it for a professional reading. Works great and support has responded to any questions I've had within 1 business day.
Exactly what I was looking for. Requires account creation to use. Readings are stored in the cloud. After 1st reading (lengthy turn-a-round ), all readings are instantly recorded and available from any app supported phone/tablet. Hold device very close to phone microphone for best results.
Does what it says on the box and so much more. Much to my surprise, this app and device combo works on my OnePlus One phone. One improvement suggestion I have is for axis labels on the ECG, especially time.
wont work with my phone or tablet it wont even register the metal part. what do i do?
No longer working. Gets no reading I used to love this app, but since the latest update it no longer works on my Samsung Galaxy 6. I tried changing app and phone settings. I put a new battery in the device. It still gets no reading. I will change my rating when fixed. Update. Customer service was very helpful. They sent a new unit. Still didn't work. Original unit just started working again. Likely a software issue
Works pretty well Sometimes I can't get my fingers in the right spots and won't give me a reading. But most of the time works great.
Excellent device While not a full ECG it is very accurate. Very impressive.
Works great. It only took a few hours for the results of the first ecg to come back. I made the mistake of checking the high cholesterol without knowing and recording the details. After I unchecked the cholesterol box the app started working. Works great with my Samsung Note 4.
Works well most of the time Devs seem to have fixed the crashes I was having. Does what it says on the tin now.
Does not work with Htc One M9 . When they say it works with most Android phones you think it would work with HTC's flagship phone. Dont do what i did and just assume check their site. If your specific phone and model is not on the list be prepared , you might just be the pround new owner of a $80 skid plate for the back of your phone.
Cannot get 2nd ecg in a day The app quit when processing file on the 2nd ecg completion .....don't know why.
I like this app. It works well for me.
Doesn't work 404 error, can't log in on Android 5.1.1, despite being online.
Could not log in . Error 404 All the time.
I got the sensor pads and the app in April, it worked fine for a few months on my Samsung Note 4, then after the AlivCor July 7th update it didn't seem to want to record anymore. I tried it again yesterday and with no updates from me it now works fine again. This is a really great product, friends my age cannot believe I can do heart monitoring at home for such a low price, with the option of sending concerning results on for medium or high priority analysis. My heart doctor told me about this product in March but he hadn't seen it in action. He is astounded by the device, it's readings and being able to forward on results to professionals. 6 x stars if I could.
App is good so far except for Stuck On Review. App is good after a quick fix... Read on. After sending in the initial ECG for review, you must wait. You will get an email at the address that's associated with the account, stating that the review is complete, but the app will still say that the ECG is under review when you open it. Log in to the website from the link in the email and view the report and then go back to the app, tap on the right upper corner and then logout. Log into the app again and everything will be working. Hope this helps others.
Waiting for review I bought the $70 accessory to track my heart events. It seemed like a great deal for an accurate ecg. Well I found out after getting the app that you must submit an ecg for review before using the app fully... No big deal. I record the ecg and send it off... Then they tell you it could take up to 24 hours to review it... 3 days later no review and the app and accessory are worthless. Will the company please respond...
S6 Edge Works well. Great tracing. Easy so far.... Hubby has fib, flutter and long QsT. Doc hopes for usable info.
Gives me comfort I like being able to check for an abnormal rhythm and, finding none, relax.
Initial problem too app stuck on the 24 hour analysis. Reinstalled it. For now works fine.
Stuck on 24hr wait for 3 days. Can't use at all. As mentioned above. This is stuck on waiting 24 hours. Tried it on two different phones with the same results. Completely not useful. Will revisit review once I can use it.
Awesome! This has been a great device and app. It's worked perfectly with my Note 2 and now my Note 4.
Excellent Works well with Note 2 and 4.
Unfortunately, the sensors (both new&old style) don't work with the HTC M9. Hopefully they will correct this soon!
Won't do anything.. Works on my daughter's iPad. But my Droid Turbo 2 it does absolutely nothing. I've email customer service an haven't received a reply.
Too Slow; now does not work at all, new Huawai Ascend Mate 2 When i first tried this, I was very impressed. My fingers are clean, no lotion and I keep the metal clean, app always up to date. March 3 '16 new Huawei, app still doesn't work at all.
Really good app But as 2/29/16 it's not working on my android phone
Since the upgrade there is no longer the BFx. I really appreciate that too. How do I get it back in my settings to turn it on and use it agsin. It just up and dissappear ed
Updated look not as nice I see the stick A and don't want to update. Liked the geometric heart better. Visual person who uses app and hates changes
No menu available for personal journal Stuck in screen that says waiting on ECG analysis, meanwhile fill out profile.. It will not allow me to do anything thing beyond that screen
Not giving me reading I have had this for a year now and after each ecg it will say "ecg normal" but now it just keeps saying "tags are loading please wait or check back later " it's not telling me if reading is normal or not.. or letting me tag symptoms.
I like the AliveCor device and I regularly used the previous version of this app, but this upgrade is bewildering in its desire for more access to my personal information. It seems to assume by default that I want my voice recorded while it takes my ECG reading, which is not the case at all. (While I understand how voice annotations might be useful for research, I do not want to participate, and I really dislike that this kind of very sensitive feature is "opt out" rather than "opt in".) Similarly the app wants my geo location without telling me what it's going to do with that information or how it's even related to the task at hand. It then asks for permission to use "vital signs sensors" on my phone without explaining what that means or why the ECG device itself is not sufficient for that. Separately from that, I was eager to integrate with my Google Fit account, but it grays out the screen and freezes when I try to set that up. At least the old functionality still works now that I'm past the gauntlet of data requests, so I'm still happy enough with this app.
Bought it a year ago and used it on my Droid. When it stipped working and Support basically shrugged its shoulders about it, I bought the Samsung as recommended by the company AND a new AliveCor. Worked for 2 months then just stopped. Wasted $400 on a new phone and the gadget.
Nice little gadget and easy to use app Impressed with both the device and the app. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S5 and have had no software issues at all. Works on my Nexus 7 too. It's obviously not as good as a multiple electrodes on chest ECG but it's as good as you'll get for doing what it does. The app fires up in seconds and is super sensitive to the device. As soon as you put your fingers on those pads there is a response from the app. Used the diagnosis service and recieved the report within 20 minutes!
Would be great if it were compatible with the Galaxy S7 Edge Use all the time with my Note 3 but can't get a scan with my S7. I must do a scan on my Note but can read it on my S7 and only on WiFi which limits it's use.
Worked once Terrible App. Worked once on my HTC M8s and now will not record anything. I got the alivecor to help diagnose a heart condition but instead the stress of trying to get it to work will give me a heart attack. Waste of €130 and I will be looking for a refund.
Do not do the update 10 minutes ago I would of given the app a 5 star rating. After the update, all previous recordings are gone. All records and trends are gone. Months of data recording is gone. ....and for what????? A new app name and a push for me to also buy a fit bit. This update is a major disappointment.
Do NOT update to Kardia If auto update is on turn it off before Alive ECG is updated to Kardia. All my readings are gone from my phone! I can't rate this low enough! What bright spark authorised this update? For what purpose? So I can say a symptom rather than click it?
This update is broken I have a galaxy s6 the ecg worked perfectly before this update. Now there is nothing.
Needs work Keeps restarting recordings so takes 10 attempt to het get a 30 second recording. The paid analysis are useless - several things have been overlooked so the classification is hard to trust.
Never records Hold device as described but recording never starts
N in Hi As an instrument engineer simple operation and consistent readings made me love this masterpiece of engineering
Nice but too slow to open app Have used for 2 years. At first it was pretty fast. Had some artifacts that I learned to ignore. Now it takes 41 secs to start app. Will miss most fluctuations unless they last for minutes.
Likely a software issue. UPDATE. I WENT TO THEIR WEBSITE AND THEY WERE SO HELPFUL. I USE THIS ALL THE TIME!
Go back to old version! Used to work great, but new update makes it a mess of unreadable lines. Phone is not plugged in or near interference.
Update broke the app After the early 2016 app update my Android phone can record an ECG but shuts down the app and returns the phone to its desktop. No longer able to save an ECG recording and my (few years old) phone can't be updated to march the updated app. Please, AliveCor engineers,retain/write a version of the app for elderly folk who can't afford new phones on a regular basis!!
Can't live without it Love this app ,helps me to live a better life !
Alivecor Heart health app
Would be great if it were compatible with the Galaxy S7 Edge UPDATE!!! New app update is compatible with my S7 Edge so all is good!! Use all the time with my Note 3 but can't get a scan with my S7. I must do a scan on my Note but can read it on my S7 and only on WiFi which limits it's use.
Does not work. Tried for days to record first recording. Finally got it to record first recording. Has not worked again.
Great app to record your ecg Easy to use and can even share recordings with your doctor for investigation.
Stopped working Worked really well until June when it just stopped detecting the sensor on my note 4
Updated lost immediate record, save fx Have used for 2 years. At first it was pretty fast. Now lost ability to immediately record. No save as function. Totally changed it so it has zero features making it almost useless. Grandfathered. A term for "we took away all usable features". Don't waste your money. If I hadn't bought 2 years ago I wouldn't consider it now.
Old version was better! After a recent update, I can no longer access any ECGs except the most recently recorded. Apparently you now have to buy a premium membership to access your older data - seriously? Bait and switch! Older version was simpler to use also. Wish I could roll back the update!
Great if used right I had too many artifacts (static) when using my fingers, I found that placing it on chest vertically just left of center worked the best. My Primary Dr. was impressed.
I want the old Alivecor app back! Latest update is cumbersome and it takes more steps to use. It used to automatically start recording, now you have to tell it to start. It also used to go directly to notes, it doesn't any more. Note length and tag qty is still limited, issue if you want them to show up on a PDF report. They also need to add additional capability to the reports like adding reports/insights longer than 1 week. One month be good, but date range would be best. PDF is not working on my phone -only way to get it is to email.
Probably saved my life I have afib and use this to track real heart rate. My BP gauge can't capture my rate when it gets high...say above 140. Using the accurate measurement, I am able to call nurse line and get directions as to wether it is time to go to ER. Of course this is not the only criteria but accuracy is key when dealing with afib.
Doesn't work after new update! Used to work great, but new update causes nothing to show up when I try to record.
Have a very hard time getting a tracing since update. Liked before update.
Very unhappy with new app Older app was easy. Open the app touch the pads. Boom... recording. Now it is a multistep process. Sometimes it wont even read my pads. I have two. Both are AC-009. Yes, new cr2016 batts for both. On top of that I can no longer see the technicians or doctors on the page to do advanced analysis. I talked to kardia and they said that the app takes time to update. Well it has been 3 weeks since the update and nada. I wish it were possible to roll back to the app that I had not this partially functioning app.
Used to love it Can't even get the dang thing to give me a reading and there appears to be no way to email any support. Thanks for taking over a great app and the expensive equipment I invested in!
Update sucks!!! Must wait an eternity to record ecg.sometimes I must reboot phone. Sorry I bought the darn thing.
Replaced unit--app now fine The doc wants me to use this app regularly. It is a pretty amazing product combined with the AliveCor unit.
Used to be better It takes too long for the reading to begin now, 30 seconds minimum - restarting the app and trying again most of the time. U need it to record immediately if I am symptomatic. There are too many unnecessary features now and that slows down the recording. After paying quite a bit for the device I really would like it to work.
Stoped working LG g5 android will not work, update loaded the newest app from app store. And it started to work again.
Where has BFx gone? Having an irregular heartbeat I relied on the BFx to monitor fluctuations in my heartrate. Since updating it no longer records the BFx. I used to think this app was 5 star but without this useful feature I can only give it a 2 star rating. I see many other people are complaining that this feature has been removed. Why remove a feature people want and works well? Annoyed! ?
Kardia Alivecor app and monitor This app works brilliantly on my Samsung S7. I check my resting heart rate every morning and it gives me peace of mind. I can also monitor my heart rate throughout the day as I have an irregular heartbeat. Having evidence to show my GP is brilliant because the doctors could never witness my palpitations as they were happening. I wish I could have found this product years ago !! Thank you very much for creating this life saving device.
Good for keeping check on hr Good for keeping check on your heart rate but it's now given me 6 readings of possible AFib which are just an erratic mess rather than typical afib traces. I read that false positives of AF on this device are only 3% but I think in my case on my device, the percentage is a lot higher for false positives.
Best Portable ECG for AFIB. Device costs $99, free shipping. Best bang for the buck. Has IDed AFIB 100% of the time. GET IT. Better than pulseox.
Memory usage Great app, I have 1Gb on my phone and a 64Gb sd card. But kardia needs already 200mb and does not want to use the sd card. This app is trying to force me to uninstall Facebook, YouTube and uber.
This thing works as advertised It's difficult to understand the people who give up already while running it on their incompatible Hardware or after upgrading to a new version of the OS where it stops working. The same record almost immediately and only takes 30 seconds for the total time is never over 40 seconds to get a good recording - unless you. My wife and I both use the same unit, each on our own phone but you can record a second person as guest on the same phone.
Not all smartphones It appears to be quite accurate and works reliably. Be sure to check your phone before spending the $120 on the device. It works with the Samsung S5 NEO (g903w Canada) and intermittently works with the LG G5 (h831 Canada). Your aupport people don't seem to know anything about compatibility and don't take ownership for compatibility resolution. It's in your best interest to have this device work on as many phones as possible.
Helps remove fear of the unknown... Having a real-time snapshot of my heart's activity gives me a sense of control over my health. I love it!
Takes way to long to capture reading I've got a heart condition that keeps sending me to the emergency room but by the time I get there the arrhythmia is gone so they never catch it. I bought this so I could capture it when it happens but takes way to long to register that I'm holding the leads. Waste of money, spend your hard earned money on a product that works as it should.
Good when it works Now it doesn't give analysis of your EKG so what's the point? Shame
Kardia Works with older version on my iPod touch but won't work on my android lg phone. Starts recording then stops
Wife had ablation, a must have device Easy, no sticking probes to the body.
Works as advertised.
Waste of my time Never would do the initial reading. Advertised compatible for Android but when I went in to check further I didn't find Model: AC-009 listed. Very disappointed. Update: Also when I first installed and opened app it said Welcome back Jason.???
Was Good, 4.2 Not So Good Getting it to record since 4.2 has been difficult.
I loved the new update, but not compatible Loved the new update but unfortunately not compatible with my new htc10 ?
