An adverse drug reaction (ADR) is an appreciably harmful or unpleasant reaction, resulting from an intervention related to the use of a medicinal product, which predicts hazard from future administration and warrants prevention or specific treatment, or alteration of the dosage regimen, or withdrawal of the product (Edwards and Aronson, 2000).
This app was designed to assist medical professionals to assess the causality of suspected ADRs experienced by their patients. This app uses the Liverpool Causality Assessment Test (LCAT) developed by Gallagher et al. (2011). It helps the medical professional to rate whether the drug actually caused the adverse reaction in the patient.
This app does not collect any information. Any suspected ADR should be reported to the relevant monitoring agency.
